This location use to house a nasty chinese place and I was hoping I would like this place better, but sadly, I did not.We finally got over there to try it today, July 24th, 2023, and it was just okay. It will not be a go to place, it will be a one and done. We ordered online, pickup was easy. I dont know why but they dont give any sauces to go except what came with our potstickers. Speaking of which, I saved those to heat up tomorrow when I have time to pan fry them longer they are nowhere near pan fried enough, very doughy, not like they should be. Sauce that came with them I didnt try because its overpowering with the smell of vinegar.Kahlua pork first impression was, I will not eat those meat chunks. One thing I cannot stand are chunks of meat served to me and thats how they serve theirs. Its not shredded like normal, its just big gross chunks. I ate one very small bite just so I could review it, and it wasnt good at all. It tastes like it was soaked in water, zero flavor except for the taste of old water. I do not recommend this dish.We also had the combo of teriyaki chicken, steak and short ribs. I tried them all and even though I usually love these dishes, I didnt like a single one of them here. They each have an odd flavor that I cant place, they are just a little bit off, like something thats going sour, its weird. Could be their sauce, I dont know but none of the meats were good. I dont recommend them either. I even tried using the teriyaki sauce from our fave place and it didnt help at all, still has a weird going bad taste to it. They did not send any teriyaki sauce home with us which I thought was odd, maybe you have to ask for it but we ordered three meats teriyaki, you would think they would include extra sauce. Hubby liked their macaroni salad.We wont be back. July, 2023.

Came here on a Saturday morning and thought that it was a cute little place to recharge after a sweltering hot cherry picking session! I am a sucker for good Mac salad and this place delivers! A tip is to ask to substitute one scoop of rice for one scoop of mac.I got the loco moco and was a huge fan - portions were also huge so I split it into two. The sugar donut appetizer was great too.This place is a bit run down on the inside so the ambiance isn’t the best but food is great.

They have the best chicken. 100% time better than yum whatever. Chicken is so moist, Mac salad is so flavorful and rice is cooked perfectWorth the price. You want good quality Hawaiian BBQ. Come here not that yum place. Its gross 🤢

This is my go to in Brentwood for Teriyaki Chicken Bowls. I have also had the Mix Plate and the Bento Box. The food is always good and they also deliver. Check out Waikiki Grill if you have not already.

First time here, great experience. Ordered online for pickup and the order was ready when I got there. Service was with a friendly smile and conversation. Portions of food were HUGE so a great value for the price. And everything was absolutely delicious. Will return often!

Son and I were in town for a funeral and wanted to get something to eat before heading back over the Sierras. We found this gem and were better for it. Tip regarding directions: if you are not familiar with the area and you use google maps to find this place, it is located at the end of a strip mall, not in office buildings. At least, thats where it took us and we went in circles a couple of times.The food was good - we both ordered the kal bi plate and enjoyed it. Atmosphere - casual dining, the place was clean and we felt comfortable eating our food. No complaints.Highly recommend and if I am ever in the area again, Ill stop. by.

Hands down one of the best Hawaiian bbq chicken spots. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Mine came out piping hot, which I liked because that means to cook to order. I also like that they give you a pretty big portion for what I paid. Just wish they had a closer location.

Just okay. I asked if the sauce was in the bag, meaning the bbq sauce. The guy at the counter said yes. When I got home I realized it was only the chili sauce was in the bag. So I ate some pretty dry rice. Its my fault for not checking the bag, I guess.

So far so good first try at this new spot really clean and the vibe is there, maybe if the pandemic is done they can get their inventory more stored make the place look immaculate. Really clean and very tidy had Lysol at the ready by garbages and smells sanitary. At this point maybe it just me and I’m getting older but the backdrop menu on top is a little small but they do have handout menu. Portions are a little small side but matches price and it taste delicious. Affordable and filling you can’t ask for more I will try the soups next time around. I recommend this place for a quick lunch or dinner spot on the fly.

I ordered a combo and specified chicken and ribs and even paid more. I called the restaurant to tell them one order was incorrect and they stated their website must have made an error, I then asked to have meal remade and was told no. Normally I wouldnt be as upset, BUT today is my birthday. This was my 1st and last time coming to this establishment. Not to mention their was a hair in my Mac salad!!

Ordered a burger and fries on doordash, and the driver was waiting on them to make a burger for exactly one hour. Once it arrived I received a sealed plastic bag but inside that was a wet paper bag with several french fries and no burger. Will never order from here again.

When my friends and I arrived, a group of teenagers, we were short cashed. The main hostess was a sweetheart. She quietly told us to wait a second and pushed some numbers and told us what we could get by downsizing our order. I have never seen someone more kind than her.The food was great! It was not to oily or dry, plus their noodles are thick and full of flavor.I highly recommend this place to anyone. Prices are on the fair side. We just forgot one wallet.Peace.

Spent almost $80 to order food from this place yesterday online said the wait time was about 20min drove about 45min to pick up my food just for them to tell me that they don’t have the pork laulau and they cancelled it without notifying me to ask if I wanted something different. I asked if I can order something in replacement and she told me it will be another 20min wait 🤦🏽‍♀️ but magically when I ordered beef curry it was ready in like 30seconds. Their boba tea is horrible I choked and threw it all up after the first sip🤮 And the inside is dirty! First and last time I order food from this place, they should stick with selling Chinese because their food taste more like Chinese food then Hawaiian food and maybe change the name of their restaurant also😠

I have been coming here for over 20 years. Nobody, and i really mean NOBODY makes better Egg Foo Young. save yourself the heartache and dont even order egg foo young if someone drags you somewhere else (and if they even offer it).The food is delicious and the family that owns the business is SO NICE. We spend almost a hundred bucks here almost every time because we cant bear to narrow it down so we just get a little of everything, sometimes doubles.

So my experience here was amazing! Dont listen to this gentlewoman on the bottom. For starters, the food tasted very fresh and seasoned to perfection. I had chow fun, vegetable platter and soup. The decor wasnt the best but it was not horrible in any way. The tables were clean and the atmosphere was very inviting. Service was excellent, the lady who served me was very nice and helpful with anything I needed. I could come back to this restaurant everyday if i had the money to do so. Prices were also very reasonable!

Called to see what dish name was that had chicken, rice, carrots and broccoli and verify that thee vegetables cane with it. I received Chicken and rice. Tried again next week and got broccoli, chicken and steamed rice. more broccoli then I ever had from a restaurant and steamed perfectly aldante

My family and I have been going to Chef Chens restaurant for 30+ years. We have never been disappointed with the taste or the quality of the food. We have become friends with the owners and if we ever have a special request to add something or make something a unique way, they always accommodate. I found a new spot to get all my local kine grinds. Lol yes definitely recommend this place its still new to the area and already popular. Being a local boy from Hawaii this spot brings the island flavor with out a doubt. Its well proportion and yes its going to be pricey depending on the food you select. But if you have never tried a plate lunch swing by and do yourself a favor. The menu will not disappoint you a wide variety of choices. Mahalo. 808 local boy.

I love love looooove their house combination chowfun. Im pretty picky with chowfuns and dont order them often if Ive never been to that particular restaurant but, if youre a chowfun fan and a mixture of some meat and lots of veggies? Go for their beef with vegetables plate. Its delicious. Dont go for any tofu plates though if youre a tofu eater just like me. Youll be disappointed. Overall, Im going to be a regular customer who will be returning for all time sake.

This is my favorite restaurant. I have been going here since I was a kid. I moved out of state and now every time I visit home I have to eat here at least once. Grace is amazing and truly cares about her customers. Best Kung pao beef. Ive yet to find a Chinese restaurant that compares.

This is a warning. My tastebuds are accurate and can differentiate the foods. The restaurants setting was delightful and fancy but the food was not. The meat, no matter what kind, almost everything had that soapy aftertaste. I could not differentiate whivh kind of meat was it, neither the vegetabkes. It felt all dry of taste but oily and salty, just like fast food restaurants. This is something yiu shoukd cknsidered. Ordered chicken chow mein, pork fried rice and beef broccoli. All tasted like soap and salt.
