Went there for a large charity luncheon. The setup was amazing for the fashion show by Givenchy!! The staff was consistently outstanding, friendly, professional, helpful... The best of the best!
We had a lovely stay here for my parents’ anniversary. The only downside was that it was during the hurricane so we weren’t able to enjoy all other areas and amenities of the resort. But nonetheless, the service was amazing and we had a relaxing time throughout. The rooms are spacious and clean.Also special thanks to Ernest from 33 North and Ignacio from AVEO for their attentiveness and wonderful service. We’ll have to come back another time to experience the entire resort!
We can here as a mini getaway for one night and we love it. This resort is only an hour away from home, but it always feels like we are somewhere magical like Hawaii! Our room was amazing and the beds were comfortable and bathrooms are stunning. We had dinner on the property at Bourbon steakhouse and the service is amazing and we had the oysters and shrimp cocktail for a starter and it was probably the best shrimp weve ever had. Oysters were also good and just melted in our mouths! For our main course we had the wagyu steak which was perfect and the truffle Mac and cheese, yummy! We had the old version of the old fashioned and it was delicious!Looking forward to returning back for another stay!
We had high hopes for this Waldorf, but sadly ended up badly disappointed. First the positives, we were greeted warmly by Nathan in valet, Lyle at the bell desk, the wonderful drivers Jack and Tyler, and the service at the beach club and Aveo were excellent.Now for the negatives. Upon check in, our room had a funny smell which we couldnt figure out immediately. Also, a unsolicited member of housekeeping rang our doorbell twice and immediately let themselves in before we had a chance to get to the door just shortly after we checked in, which was fine, but then he just backed out when he saw us without explaining why he entered? We put the DND on our door afterwards, and as we finally dozed off, the room phone rang 3 rings but when we answered there was no one on the other line. So we called front desk to inquire if they needed to speak with us and they said no.Once we got up from our nap, we found out that the funny smell was coming from the mini fridge and there was leftover spoiled eggs and food from the previous guests. No big deal, well ask housekeeping to remove it when we leave our room for dinner. We called up to inform them we were leaving and let them know about the stuff in the fridge and also ask for turndown service and to retrieve our car from the valet. We made sure the DND light was off and left.At the valet, we see our car and try to get in it, but was stopped by both the valet and another guest, informing us that it was not our car and letting the guy drive off with our car. We insisted that they were mistaken, had our ticket to prove it and had to escalate the issue until someone finally got ahold of the other guest, who had already driven our car to a different hotel, and we had to stand there and wait nearly an hour until we got our car back. This made us late to our important appointment. The other guest appeared angry and annoyed at us for the inconvenience when he returned. We informed an apathetic front desk of this and asked for this incident to be noted to the GM, but still havent heard anything back from anyone at the hotel. For a hotel that only has mandatory valet at $70 a day, they should do better.After returning from our dinner, we entered our room and found that housekeeping didnt come. The rotten food was still in the fridge, the towels were not refreshed, no turndown service, nothing. By this time it was after 10pm, so we just didnt want to deal with it and tried to relax by our little fireside terrace, so we sat down in our robes and tried repeatedly to start the fire pit, but it would not turn on. There was also no smores kit or wine to be found in the room. Frustrated, we just went to bed and left the next day.We had hoped that we would have a relaxing stay at this property, but ended up stressed out and not relaxed at all.YMMV.
Sublime. Stayed three nights this Labor Day weekend. The service was too notch, the room was perfect, and me and my family had a blast. Great pools for different age groups, hot tubs, cabanas, poolside drink and food service, etc. My little daughter had a blast, my wife was in heaven, and I had my daddys evening watching the sunset and having a few beers. Everything was perfect. As Ferris Bueller once said, if you have the means, I highly recommend it.
This WA property is in an excellent location. Friendly and attentive staff from the valet to the front desk to the porters, the servers, to housekeeping. Every staff member who we came across was very engaged. Couldnt praise enough the service we received. Very nice view from the restaurant. Monarch Beach wasnt crowded at all, but Im certain that it gets crowded during the summer months. To the mgmt staff at WA in Monarch Beach/Dana Point, well done.
This place is no doubt beautiful, but Im not quite sure you could consider it a great value. We used Hilton Free Night Certificates to stay here, and luckily this waives the $63/day resort fees (but unfortunately not the mandatory $70/day valet parking fee). It would be hard to imagine it being worth it to pay cash when it is over $1000/night for a basic room. Diamond status got us a $50/day food and drink credit, but that goes pretty fast when the drinks are $23+ and the food is even more expensive. We had some flautas at the pool which were extremely tasty, but the cocktail I ordered was a bit strong and I needed them to sweeten it up a bit. We ate breakfast, I loved the avocado toast, and the service at breakfast was really top notch. The buffet did not look that great though when compared to how extensive a Waldorf Astoria breakfast buffet can potentially be, especially in other countries. The breakfast at the Waldorf Astoria Beijing was one of the best breakfasts ever at a hotel. We did get upgraded to a room with a fire pit, and that was quite nice. So if you stay on points, this place is pretty nice, but if you are paying cash, you might be disappointed.
This property is a hidden gem! Property is massive with 3 pools a golf course and a stunning beach club which you take a nice tram ride to get too. Beach has kids toys, sports equipment and great beach service. Rooms were stunning got upgraded to suite because of my diamond status. Overall great property would love too come back!!! Service is spotty some are great some couldBe improved. (They walked in on me in my room after just knocking once)
Everything about the resort is great. We had such a good stay. Stayed using a free night from our Hilton credit card. Otherwise I dont know if we would stay here normally because if the price. But the location and rooms really help you understand why its so much more than most other resorts.
Great destination resort. Impressive property with a multitude of amenities including a free and spectacular sunset. Aveco dinner with Halibut was the best I ever had.It is pricey but not unexpected. I did not give them five stars for one reason: Waldorf and Hilton succumbed to the junk fee disease. Valet, housekeeping, resort, etc., that guests just do not appreciate. Just price your product and act your reputation.
Stayed in between travel from LA to San Diego to check it out. Although did not spend a lot of time, this property is awesome and definitely will come back.As you enter the the building through oversized doors, you see the large layout through the windows and balcony. This area is nice to sit down and get a couple of drinks or catch up with work stuff while watching the greens and ocean. Missed the sunset unfortunately.1 - bedroom suit was nice as there is a separate seating area where you can walk out and enjoy outdoor seating as well.There are plenty of restaurants, pools, Jacuzzis, and golf areas spread out this property.You can either take the tram or walk to the beach ⛱️, if you take the tram, its nice you can talk to driver and learn about the property. I also enjoyed walking as well.Limited amount pictures 📸, will take more next time.
A beautiful hotel. I’ve been coming with my family for many years. Gorgeous beach and amenities. Just stayed there for the first time since it’s now become the Waldorf. Sadly, the decor is now so bland, the service is very slow at the restaurants (low staff and no real urgency) especially at Aveo, and beach club. Took about 25 minutes to get drinks at lunch. Love this place but wish it had its original charm back and more activities (like a basketball court) for kids!!
Can you believe a luxury room has a gap in the door of about half an inch, so you can hear every sound in the hall like a motel 6? Ive had cheaper rooms with better soundproofing. For what I spent on that room for one night, they could buy a nice door and some insulation. To be fair, everything else about the experience was great. The service was attentive, and the room itself was beautiful.
The rooms and facilities are in excellent condition. All staff were very professional and accommodating. The shuttle from the hotel to the beach made the location perfect for a romantic anniversary stay.
This is my second time here and I love this place. Waldorf exudes luxury. It is comparable to the Ritz next door which I have stayed at. The biggest reason I would stay here is the private beach club and beach. You will still have people coming through but the beach is big and theres very few people sitting on the beach. My husband and I walked over to the public beach and the Ritz people set up their own chairs and they are packed so close to each other. The next thing I would say about Waldorf is they have great customer service. My room was not ready at 4 pm and Lisa at the front desk apologized and gave us a credit to get a drink. They also check on you throughout the stay by text. Housekeeping did a great job with turndown service. Shoutout to the hotel manager, Kinza for the anniversary treat! That was unexpected but made our day!
Amazing place. But as expected, insanely expensive. We were lucky enough to have a business event here, otherwise this incredible place is far outside our means. Great service. Great room. Beautiful hotel and grounds.
SERVICE WAS AWESOME – We stayed 5 nights. This was the best service we have ever experienced at a hotel…. and we stay at hotels fairly frequently. The Valet, staff at front desk, all the restaurants, the cleaning people, tram drivers, everyone was friendly and helpful. That experience alone is enough to recommend this hotel.Details: When we checked in, I was lucky enough to meet the Front office manager (Rami Malhas) and his trainee for the shift (Elika Miller). Mr Malhas was kind enough to upgrade our room to a one-bedroom suite with an ocean view. Mr Malhas – you were correct that this was the best overall hotel experience I have had at a Hilton or Waldorf property. I really appreciate the recognition of my Diamond status and the upgrade. The first 7 photos on the review are of the room (#303) – which was fantastic. I should add that the room and the property were extremely clean.During our time on the property, we ate at the Part and Parcel (coffee and breakfast sandwiches), Aveo (breakfast), Sombra Cantina (pool food), Monarch Bay Beach Club (dinner), and Bourbon Steak (dinner). All the food was good. We really liked the casual atmosphere, service and food at the beach club (we ate there multiple times). The standout dinner and service experience was Bourbon Steak. I have attached photos of all the courses we enjoyed at Bourbon Steak. Ironically, we had not intended to eat here as we were thinking “just another steak house”. Everyone we met asked if we planned to eat at Bourbon Steak – and in particular JC (the sommelier at a hotel wine tasting event) really “pushed” us. I am glad we went as the meal was one of the best steak house experiences we have ever had, bonus points for an excellent wine list! JC thanks again for a memorable dinner experience. Service was over the top and food was excellent.We also had a good shopping experience at the Spa Clothing shop. My wife found a skirt and top, at a reasonable price for the quality of the clothing.The one comment – not a negative – but a note. This is a big hotel, and during our time there were a lot of large groups (conferences). On 4 of the 5 nights there were outdoor evening events that went on till 10 pm (The hotel seemed to be diligent about shutting it down at 10 pm). This didn’t bother us – but it is worth mentioning in case that is something that would concern someone else.I would highly recommend this hotel, and we plan to return again at some point in the future. Thanks again to the staff for a great experience.
Beautiful property. Staff really is great but communication about what’s going on inside the property is lacking. Some of the newer folks don’t know the grounds and give bad directions and nobody, I mean nobody, knew what was really going on for the 4th of July holiday. Also they have a great beachfront club that was at capacity we were told… not really true, we went twice and were seated immediately both times. I know Waldorf is new at managing the facility but communication with guests is important. Also be aware that they allow “late paid check outs” as late as 4pm. That means you could wait until 5 or 6 to get your room assigned.
The Waldorf Astoria Monarch Bay Beach Resort was a wonderful experience from check-in to check out. Ive wanted to stay here for years, and when I finally did, I was not disappointed. The agent at check-in was very welcoming and helpful with dinner reservations and directions. All of our meals were delicious and delivered with great service. We really enjoyed the beautiful grounds of the resort and the fact we could walk to the beach. Stunning property and first class service.
This was one of the nicest properties Ive stayed at. The price was not bad, though the additional amenity prices were outrageous. I refused to dine at the steakhouse for those extreme prices. Every employee at the property was accommodative, welcoming, and offered top-notch service.Michael at the front desk was very kind and did everything he could to ensure we got a nice room and we were given a complementary upgrade as a Diamond member to a nicer room with a nice view, too.The rooms are spacious with nice features - a separate bathroom water closet within the already large bathroom. A large soaking tub and a standing shower, a double vanity, and nice shampoo / conditioner / body wash products. The bedroom was very large with a comfortable bed, a nice mini bar, and ample lighting within the room. We also had a nice patio / balcony with two chairs and a decent amount of space.The property itself is quite large. There are two main pools, but I was a little upset that one of them is not strictly for adults or kids. It wasnt very pleasant having children in both pools. The pool service was great, but it would have been nice if service were available after 5pm.There is a tram service which takes guests down to the beach, through the golf course. Its an excellent service, and a nice ride down to the beach. The beach was not my favorite - I was expecting a nicer beach area, and it was extremely crowded. There is no signage or any ease of assistance on the beach at all when it comes to using beach equipment. Although beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas are all included, the lack of communication, ease, and helpfulness ensured that we did not stay more than 5 minutes at the beach.Overall, this is a beautiful property and I would highly recommend a stay here (without children). Id also suggest going to the private beach during a time less guests are in desire of the beach. Bring ample money for amenities - restaurants, spa, etc. Id also suggest staying no less than three nights to ensure you experience the entire property.

The only regret i have is not having known about the Waldorf at Monarch beach earlier. What a wonderful resort that honestly is a gem. Exceptional! The best staff and service that makes the hotel feel like home. Gorgeous and large rooms with fantastic views from all sides. The resort grounds are incredible and worth exploring. Fantastic restaurants and bars all over the resort. I came for two nights and ended up extending to a week.Honestly, more elegant and sophisticated (European style) than the Montage, Pelican Hill, Ritz, this hotel is unparalleled.
Upgraded rooms, wonderful amenities, top notch service. Multiple pools, tram to beach is so lovely and the restaurant by the water is delicious. This hotel is top notch and we love seeing all the dogs on property when we visit. Excited to book our next stay.
Wow, what a let down.Me and my wife been waiting months and paid more then $1k a night just to arrive to very poor service from the front desk and concierge. We were told the restaurant at the hotel will be nice to dine in and it was closed. Asked questions at the register and the stuff literally seemed like doing me a favor answering. If you looking for fancy hotel in the area just go to the Montague hotel, you will enjoy it much better.At the end of the stay after spending top dollar we forgot a dress at the room, called the hotel and the guy told us that if we want it we need to pay $60 for them to ship it ( to LA) and if we dont come take it in 30 days they will give it to charity. This place is unreal we feel like we were scammed.So dont worth the money.One thing that was good is the service in the valet, they were wonderful!
I love staying at this place! Every time I come here I’m never let down. The place is beautiful and the rooms are clean. The pool area is gorgeous and don’t even get me started on the beach. IT IS WONDERFUL!!! I’ve never loved a hotel so much and would gladly stay there whenever I could. If you end up staying i recommend going in their little garden sorta thing with statues. Wish I took pictures for sure.
We went for lunch to celebrate our 36th anniversary and it was simply amazing. Great food, excellent hostess and the best waiter named Grant. We will definitely be back and this time we will stay for a couple of nights.

Luxurious stay! Everything was perfect and Teresa from guest services was very sweet and thoughtful. She sent the hubby a birthday card with hand written card and a box of truffles which were really good. No one hand writes messages anymore and it’s still a sweet gesture if you ask me.
We were there for a wedding. The service was great. The environment is very magnificent. They charge $35 for valet parking for wedding guests. There should have been a discount for wedding guests. The hotel has made a lot of money from the wedding.
All the staff is always positive, helpful and resourceful. The landscape is just beautiful. The views. The variety of things you can do. The DJs at the pool were phenomenal.The bars, the beach club, the pools and the restaurants.If you reserve in advance and get a room with firetable on first floor, it is absolutely worth it. You can enjoy a drink, prepare smores and walk and from the pool and hotel right from your patio.Great vacation! Thank you Hilton!
The hotel itself is beautiful. We had a great experience. Room and facilities are clean and nice. We had a few classes at the gym TRX & sound meditation. Those classes were wonderful. Most of the staff were extremely nice. Great beach.However, we had a few things that didnt go right.The valet was a good->then bad-> then good again. There was a wedding going on so the valet was busy. I called 1 hour ahead to have the car brought up since we were coming out of the meditation class and we had a lunch reservation right after. Teresa answered the phone and was very nice. She said she will pull up the car at 1145am for us and even asked if we needed water on the road. We got there at 1145am and no car no water We asked the valet and there was a red posted note that clearly said special request. The guy at the valet there was rude and said, you need to go to the front desk, you credit card was declined. This was our 3rd of 5 day there. We went to the front desk (3people ahead of us so we had to wait) and they didnt see anything wrong with the room or the credit card. I went back to tell the valet there was nothing wrong, he looked irritated and said, your car is coming up. No apologies or nothing. Instead of getting our car fast, this wasted 30 mins of our time. I called again the same day in the evening, I got Teresa on the phone. I told her what happened at lunch. She said she would fix this. 15 mins went by, I went down, no car and no water. Waited another 15 mins. We asked if they could charge the car for us. They didnt either. The last day when we checked out, the valet lady and the bell service gentleman were very nice. They both kinda made up for all the bad service we got. Valet was $70 a day and we got 2 out of 5 days of bad serviceThe gym- we paid for the $63 resort fee daily x 5 and we had access to the gym, yoga etc. We went to use the lap pool and was told that we were not allowed even though no one was even in the pool. What was the resort fee for then? I thought it was for the gym, classes and lap pool, etc. To me, a lap pool is an exercise and not for some spa service.After we were told we couldnt use the lap pool, we went up to our room, the door was completely broken and we couldnt get into the room. It was not the key. The battery at the door was out. Took 45 mins to get back in to the room.Almost 2 hours wasted for nothing. Time is something you cant get back when people wasted my time. Service was a lot better at Montage. See my older reviews.
We had high hopes (we both Diamondmembers) for our one-night stay at the Waldorf, as we were seeking a relaxing getaway. However, our experience turned out to be far from what we expected, with several issues leaving us unsatisfied and stressed.Upon arriving at Aveo Bar for breakfast, my egg burritos were served cold, which was an immediate letdown. The poolside experience was also far from enjoyable, as the pool was overcrowded, and the food we ordered was subpar. The churrios came with the wrong flavor, the donuts were still frozen, and the cheeseburger bread was far from fresh.Hoping to find some solace at the beach club, we ordered cocktails, only to be disappointed again. Both drinks were lackluster and didnt meet our taste preferences. We contemplated exchanging them, but the bar was inconveniently far from the ocean side.Dinner at Aveo was a mixed experience. One of our dishes was excessively salty, leading us to send it back for a recook. Although the issue was resolved, the initial oversight was disheartening.The biggest problem arose when a false alarm buzzed in our room at 12:30 am. We expected an announcement, but nothing happened, and the phone went unanswered. Having to walk to the lobby for confirmation was a stressful and unsettling experience, particularly since our room was distant from the main area.Furthermore, the valet service proved unreliable. Despite requesting our car to be ready at 7 am sharp, we couldnt reach them in the morning, causing us unnecessary worry. When we arrived at the front gate, our car was still unprepared, forcing us to speak with them and wait an additional five minutes.Overall, our stay at the Waldorf was far from satisfactory. The repeated issues with food, service, and communication left us feeling disappointed and frustrated. Its unfortunate that such a renowned establishment failed to deliver a memorable and pleasant experience. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a more enjoyable stay for future guests.
Staff was amazing, and especially housekeeping staff went above and beyond. View was fabulous from hotel room and we enjoyed golf cart rides and beach club. One and only thing disappointing was in TRX fitness class instructor made me feel not included joining her neighborhood housewife clients as a guest staying at hotel.
5 Star property and 5 Star staff. Newly renovated and worth a stay! Good for family and kids.
VERY disappointing. The rooms are dated, could not even charge an advanced iPhone. The breakfast was extremely pricy and portions were too small. This resort should not be called Waldorf but only Hilton. Will not stay there again

We didnt stay in a room, only came for drinks and dinner, but had a wonderful time! Grounds are beautiful, the service is friendly and the restaurant was delicious! Sunset views were spectacular!
My experience at this hotel is a total nightmare. Let me share some more contexts with you.1. Additional equipments for our roomWe requested a crib, a microwave, and a high chair when we booked on the website. We reminded this through an email. But there was no reply. So I sent an email to another hotel address. But still no response. That was understandable. We arrived the hotel a bit early so asked the staff for early checkin. While we were speaking, I requested them again. As there was no room available, we had to wait an hour but she told me she will take care of the equipments we mentioned. After an hour, we were able to checkin. We reminded the equipments again. When we got to the room, we were surprised that nothing is prepared. We asked a bell staff if they are coming to setup the equipments. He said he will check with the team. After another 30 minute, we couldn’t wait more. I had to call the concierge. After another 20 min, we had to remind them again. Finally, we received them. My son missed his nap time. This ruined our schedule.2. Lost access from our keysIn the second day, we suddenly lost key access to every area even including our room! We had to go to the concierge and got it fixed. But this happened once again while my baby was napping. I was so nerveous.3. No contact when checkin availableSince there was no room available for early checkin, we had to wait. The staff promised me to message to my cell phone. But they didn’t ping me even though the room was ready. I had to go to the front desk because it is already 4 pm.4. Cave wine experienceI requested reservation for the wine cave experience(4pm) before we get to the hotel but no response. I asked them again when I got there. They told me my reservation is confirmed. But it was already 4:30 pm. What a joke.When it comes to a luxury five star hotel, these are far from my expectation. Disappointed a lot.
We stayed at this hotel back in May, and there were inappropriate charges on our hotel folio that were added after we checked out (we had asked for a print out of our hotel receipt before we left). I have been trying to contact the accounting department or a manager ever since and they will not call me back. Will never stay here again as a result of this dishonesty and lack of responsiveness.
Beautiful hotel and extremely kind staff. But the food and drinks are borderline outrageous. Theres plenty of other really nice, $1,000 a night hotels that have great food thats not overpriced like this. $43 for chicken nachos at the pool, $34 for a Pina colada.
Aveo restaurant has great food and service with a very nice view of the pool and golf course on the patio. I got the chicken and Avocado sandwich on rye bread, very good.

She was very professional and very polite at check in and throughout the entire (five day) stay at the resort. I would highly recommend her for promotion and recognition for all her outstanding efforts and highest level of customer service. My husband and I are staying at the fireside terrace studio facing the garden and it is the best hotel room we’ve ever stayed at.With Hilton Honors, we have a $50 food & beverage credit per night. We ordered ceviche tonight and it was so fresh and delicious. The service is impeccable so far. Our wedding anniversary was a few days ago, so they surprised us with a special box of chocolates and sparkling apple cider! (We don’t drink alcohol so they replaced champagne with a non-alcohol alternative!) We love the private fire-pit!Update: The in room service is amazing. The server comes in with a portable table covered with white table cloth, all set up for fine dining, brought to our room.The laundry service for workout gear is covered in the amenities as well, and I simply placed my clothes in the cloth bag provided, hung it outside the door, and called laundry services to pick up. Who would expect that clothes to come back wrapped in tissue paper placed in a black gift box with ribbon. This is too fancy for us. 😂The private beach is a huge plus. The tram comes every 5 minutes and it looks so cute, like a little Thomas the train. At the restaurant by the beach, we ordered pina colada and mango smoothies, and jumbo shrimp with cocktail sauce, which was the best cocktail shrimp we’ve ever had. The hotel staff helped set up beach chairs and umbrella and gave us towels, and we felt like we almost had the whole beach to ourselves at sunset. It is cold by the water so the towels were much welcomed (used more as blankets)We rented the house bikes (covered in the amenities) for a bike ride to Salt Creek Beach also, but that beach was too crowded for us. Definitely like the private Monarch Beach better!We also booked a Groupon voucher for Dana Point Parasailing, which is only 10 minutes ride on Uber from here. Unfortunately, the weather was too foggy so the parasailing had to be cancelled, but I think its worth a trip for those interested in parasailing or whale watching from that near nearby dock!
I love this hotel. We occasionally come here for a staycation. It has beautiful rooms with prompt room service and the beach front is not crowded and gorgeous. The only downside is that the shuttle sometimes takes a long time to come, which is such a minor thing. Otherwise its a fabulous resort. Highly recommended!
Everything about our stay was top of class. The room accommodations were incredible, the staff was great, the resort amenities were great, and the food was wonderful. And the personal attention we received from Jannahbeth Toledo was unforgettable.

I recommend anyone traveling to Dana Point, CA to at least stay at the Waldorf Astoria. The experience is phenomenal as well as the food and service. One of the best places I ever stayed.
Service is absolutely amazing (shout out to Paul at the beach club as he is wonderful). Rooms are nicely updated but the bathrooms could use a refresh. Grounds are very nicely manicured and the beach club is a great amenity (and the tram ride is quite nice, I actually prefer it to being right on the beach). Will be returning for sure.
The service level has unfortunately gotten worse at this hotel. Weve stayed multiple times at the Montage, Ritz and Waldorf. The overall service at the Waldorf isnt up to par with the others.
This is our second time staying at Waldorf Astoria to celebrate our wedding anniversary/birthday. The rooms were very clean and service at the hotel was very friendly. We were gifted some very cute macarons by the hotel. I would have given it a 5 star rating if it wasn’t for the minor incident at the Monarch Beach Club Restaurant.Long story short, we had to order our lunch as TO-Go per recommendations of the staff since they didn’t have a table available. We were told to sit anywhere near the lawn area outside of the restaurant and they will drop off the food for us. Half an hour after i placed our 1st order, nothing, so i went back in and saw the food sitting on a table next to the bar. It’s ok, i picked it up myself and then placed a second order for our friends who were sitting on a table next to us (I decided to charge to my room to treat my friends). Note that there were two separate orders placed half an hour apart from each other. I was ready to sign the two checks that were separately printed and the bar attendant said he wanted to combine both into a single check. I told him it was ok since both had my room number on it so he didn’t have to, but he insisted. So when I got the final bill was about $300 dollars. I signed it and walked back out to the lawn area. I sent my husband back in half an hour later to pick up the second order since it wasn’t delivered either. The interesting part was the few other tables next to us all got their take outs delivered to their table in a brown bag.My husband came back with the second order and a new bill for $355? When we inquired about it the staff just said service charge was mandatory on parties over 6.There were few flaws:1. My party was 4, my friends were a party of 4, we didn’t sit together on the same table. How does that make me a party of 6?2. Service charge implied service was rendered by restaurant to us. But in both of my take out orders, we had to walk in to order and walk in to pick up. Where is the service?3.We feel unfairly treated compared to all the other guests at the beach club who got their take outs delivered to their table.4. The fact that the staff insisted on combining two separate checks into a single check just to charge $55 on two separate take out orders was very “low” and intentional and I totally wasn’t expecting being framed by someone from a 5 star hotel.At the end, the hotel lobby staff helped me waive this extra service charge when I complained during check out. Still, this experience left a sour taste in my mouth on my wedding anniversary weekend.
Lovely time. We bonded with our banquet server, Edward. The venue was exquisite, the food superb, and the service was world-class.
This was our second stay at the Waldorf Monarch Beach. We chose this as our post-wedding mini-moon destination, and it did not disappoint. The staff throughout the hotel was so kind, warm, welcoming, and congratulatory. We love walking the grounds of the hotel, as well as taking the shuttle to the beach club. The pools and hot tubs are wonderful. The gym has great amenities. The food options at the hotel could do with a little expansion, once you’ve had a chance to try 2 or 3, you may want to step outside the resort for expanded options. This resort will always hold a special place in my heart and I cannot wait to visit again.
Had an excellent stay at the Waldorf. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained and the staff is fantastic. We will definitely come back. Highly recommend for a stay in South OC.
Room was fabulous, service was exceptional and location was perfect. I stayed at WA because I had to come in two days early for a meeting at the Ritz Carlton across the road who couldnt accommodate me at my meeting rate. I booked the two days at the WA and wish I could have stayed there the whole time. Its sooo much nicer than the Ritz. I had a pool view, but from my balcony I could see the ocean even without an ocean view. At the Ritz my pool view feels like Im in a cave. Its dark and depressing and bathroom is claustrophobic. No comparison.. The tram to the beach is a must do at WA along with dining at the beach club. Also the gift shop at Ritz is full of old folks out dated clothing. The gift shop at WA had super cute up to date clothing. I bought a pair of jeans and 3 tops. SCORE! Ill be back
The staff makes the entire stay so enjoyable and easy.The grounds the food and the spa were spectacular.My only complaint would be that I was not able to stay there another week.If you want to get away this is the place to go.
I often go to the restaurants in this hotel because I live in the area. They have great atmosphere, although the service can sometimes be a bit slow.
Elegant hotel with lovely grounds. The front desk staff is professional. Our room was spacious, nicely appointed. My only issue was with Aveo Tables hostess whom I found to be rather rude.
An amazing experience from start to finish!!! Hotel is meticulously maintained and staff is fantastic. We got upgraded to a lovely room with an outdoor fire-pit upon arrival. The room was so peaceful and I am so sensitive to noise! The staff sent us chocolate covered strawberries to kick off our 10 year anniversary celebration. The area is remarkable and we spent most of our time at the resort and beach club. We took an amazing beach bootcamp and enjoyed the incredible setting while working out. We utilized the fitness facility as well and were thoroughly impressed. We rented e-bikes straight from the hotel and got to explore the area. We primarily ate at the resort and each restaurant was impressive. Breakfast at Aveo was hands down our favorite. Best almond milk latte and granola french toast.. Cannot say enough incredible things about this place and I am picky picky! We 100% will be back!!!!

Positive: Great hotel, great pool, great room. Negative: No ice machine. Room attendant said he had to get the ice for us and he did and gave us this little tiny bag. Fridge had drinks which were nice but would be nice if we had a fridge so we can store our own items. Parking was listed at $60 and it was $70

Gorgeous and luxurious! Visited with a friend for drinks. I would love to come back and stay here. There are amazing views. Everyone working here is both friendly and helpful. The furnishings are lovely and inviting to the visitor to sit and enjoy breath-taking views.
What a great hotel! Everything here is top notch and the view is stunning off of the balcony. The check-in process was smooth and the room was great. The prices of things are on the high end (a can of Coke from the café is $6). The pool was very clean and well kept. The tram down to the beach was very fun for the kids and we never had to wait more than a couple minutes.
Ridiculous crowds everywhere. 3.5 hour wait to check into 2 room. No free drip coffee anywhere so you wait in a line of 15 people for $5 coffee cups when you wake up. 1 cashier. Front desk barely cares. $10 for a latte at Aveo breakfast. Not exaggeratingProperty is not near the beach you take a shuttle there so the resort name is misleading. All amenities are packed so you spend your time waiting in line.Beautiful location property otherwise. Needs more play things for kids. And again most importantly need more Café staff.
Such a pleasant hotel to stay at, every time I think of the Monarch, I think of the comfort of the bed and the room. The pool deck is amazing it has two big hotub at a perfect temperature and a big pool to top it off. The staff are friendly and there service is top notch. The food is very expensive but it is good I cannot lie. If you’re looking for a more private and relaxing stay, stay at the Monarch.

We spent some time walk around the property and was very relaxing.Valet Parking fee is a little excessive but.. considering it is WA resort.===Update: I read that others had special treats waiting in the room during their stay... to realized I wasnt given the same treatment is disappointing. I hope they will make it up in my next visit.
Great property with the beautiful beach and ocean view.Constructive feedback:1. The payment system is not friendly for gift cards. The guy on the front desk had to manually enter all gifts number and pins to the system, and it took about 45 minutes.2. The cafe order system printer was out of printing paper for 5 days(who knows the real duration) during my stay. So anyone use the self order system had to repeat the items they ordered to the servers.3. The central elevator has some buttons worn out and not light on, it’s hardly to tell if the button is pressed or not.The cleaning service staff are super nice and friendly and patient. I’d gave them 10 stars review if I could.

Oh this place is absolutely breathtaking! From check in to check out the staff made sure there was not one want/need that wasn’t met! We traveled with a very large group & the check in process was so smooth for the number of people checking in. Upon check in they had welcome cocktails & water. The rooms were decorated very nicely & very comfortable. Turn down service was Greatly appreciated as well! The view from the room was such a plus. The tram down to the private beach also a super plus! The golf course and beach was superb! I cannot say enough how pleased I was at this property! All of the staff so very welcoming & polite. If I could give them 10 stars I would!
The service at the Waldorf was amazing beginning with the hotel kindly fixing a booking error on our part with such grace. Parking is valet only, bikes are available for use and its about a 15-20 minute walk to the beach. It was the quietest hotel at night that weve ever stayed in which meant a great nights sleep. The dining is expensive but there are so many other restaurant options nearby, plus great shopping options with Fashion Island just north and the San Clemente Outlets to the south. Their lobby coffee shop served quality drinks as well. We will definitely be staying here again!

The resort and the view are fabulous. However, the service is awful, and the staff is NOT professional, NOT supportive, NOT helpful, and NOT friendly at all.First, they charged me more than the amount shown on the receipt I received when I checked out. If I did not check my credit card statement, I would not be able to find this OVERCHARGE issue. I called the front desk and confirmed that this was a mis-charge. Meanwhile, their billing department is highly unresponsive, and the issue has NOT been resolved yet.Second, the official checkout time is 11 am. However, the house-cleaning team entered our room at 10:20 am. We were shocked and frightened when they entered our room without letting us know in advance. 20 minutes later, they knocked on our door again and tried to clean our room. I assumed that we have the right to stay in the room until 11 am, right? The house-cleaning team’s behavior made me feel that they wanted to KICK me OUT OF my room as soon as possible.Third, we requested a comb in the morning. We have called multiple times and waited for 1 hour and 20 minutes to receive the comb. I am not sure if such a service deserves the “five-star” rating.Last, someone left used and dirty cups and plates in front of my door at midnight. I was not sure why the used plates/cups were placed at my door. I was not sure if this was a prank or if the staff mistakenly placed plates/cups. Regardless of either reason, this is NOT what I expect at a five-star hotel.Based on my past experience in other hotels, it’s fair to say this one provides the WORST service that I have ever received.
I attended a business conference here. I stayed an additional day and invited some local friends to join me after the conference.The property is absolutely beautiful, the staff friendly, rooms are lovely … I highly recommend both enjoying the restaurants and staying at the Waldorf.

Which was awesome but was expecting some better quality bikes, my buddies bike was very janky. The gears didn’t really work so up hill was brutal. But they do have E bikes as well which we found out after hahaCan’t wait to come back!
Best hotel Ive ever stayed at. They put robes and slippers in your room and even epson bath tablets in their tubs. I really enjoyed their bottled water too. The view of the golf course, pool and the beach was phenomenal!
I did not stay at the hotel. I visited the spa with my daughters. We booked massages and facials which were wonderful. 5 stars for that. However the facility gets 1 star. The jacuzzi was over chlorinated. The other visitors were using their cell phones. The space is crowded and not inviting. The attendant was nowhere to be found. I wrote an email to the hotel manager/ assistant but never got a reply, so I’m posting this instead
Positive: Location is breathtaking and beach access is so easy and fun. Spa classes and gym services exceptional. Staff is world class. Negative: Since Hilton purchase, many upscale items have been deleted. Dry bar, sunset toast. carpet & decor replacement looks like average Hilton. sad to see the upscale boutique experience replaced with cost conscience Hilton decor & overpriced average food.
Everything about the Waldorf is incredible. From its understated elegance, to the breathtaking grounds, the friendly and accommodating staff, the variety of wonderful restaurants, and the array of activities available through the resort. Truly a top tier experience from start to finish, wonderful for families as well as couples.
My husband and I had an amazing stay. It was our anniversary weekend, and we were surprised by the champagne and balloons in our room. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay.The staff was amazing, courteous, and polite. I want to mention Lisa and Victoria especially.

There is a golf shuttle that takes you right down to a private beach.Hotel is very clean and most recently renovated. Definitely, recommend staying here.
The hotel is beautiful and immaculate. Specific praise for the staff at Aveo. David the chef who prepared the most delicious meal, Mark who was fantastic and our server Josh was also incredible. The whole dinner and service was 10/10. We are excited to spend the weekend here.
We stayed her for over a week for our honeymoon and it was absolutely superb. The service, food, amenities, and everything in between was 5 star. This is a deluxe resort for a relaxing and beautiful getaway. Each meal for all of the restaurants were delicious and fresh. The staff went above and beyond and made us feel special. We highly recommend!
This hotel is a large hotel, not a very refined one. Many facilities are very old. Garbage in the hotel will be littered. If the service is normal, sometimes you call the front desk and no one can find it.
Beautiful place with gorgeous views. We reserved the King Suite with ocean view and balcony since they told us this will be the best view at this place and “indeed” it was gorgeous!This resort is very close to the beach and you can walk to the beach through its beautiful golf courtyard which is about 30 minutes walk.I also wanted to add note in here about staff. All were kind and friendly and the lady “Mahsa” who welcomed us at the front desk was so professional and friendly and absolutely deserves a bonus for her great work at this resort.Thank you Mahsa once again and we appreciate your help with our reservation.We’ll absolutely revisit this place in the future.Leila
Positive: The private beach club was great. Beautiful location! Negative: This was a very small and ordinary hotel/motel room. A video camera was located almost directly above our balcony. Our room might have been located in the corridor where the housekeeping staff locate to regroup. Consequently, it was noisy.
This is truly one of the most beautiful places Ive ever stayed. The staff was attentive and accommodating, the grounds were gorgeous, the pools were warm and very clean, the room was comfortable. It felt fancy, but not opulent, which I really like. The restaurants were all quite good, but very expensive. This is definitely not a place for a family on a tight budget, but we did feel like everything was well worth it. It really seems to capture the So-Cal vibe and made me fantasize about leaving Seattle for good.
Sadly, we wont be staying at the Waldorf. No doubt that it is a beautiful property. We surely would not have made our reservations for the Thanksgiving week were that not to believe that to be the case. We would not have imagined that our booking for 10 rooms for 15 adults and 5 kids would have been a challenge for such a prestigious hotel. Regrettably however, the hotel must be very short-staffed and without the leadership necessary to live up to what reasonable people have a right to expect of a five-star property. I have been unable to speak with a Concierge who could and would provide me confidence and confirmation that my needs were being properly attended to. We finally had enough and cancelled our reservation when we were informed that there could be no guaranty our family of 20 could be provided seating together in the main dining room .... but that they would do so only if we were to agree to a minimum spending of $150 a person. This is hardly the service to be expected of a 4-star hotel, let alone one that sees itself as 5-star. Perhaps this is a sign of the current times. However at an over $50,000 price tag for a week with my family, Id rather not take a chance.
The location is serene, my experience was atrocious. While staying here as a single woman I was approached by a man as I was walking to my room, he asked me if everything were okay and I respond “yes thank you for asking.” I didn’t think much of it until he kept coming around, kept watching me, and trying to talk to me I felt very disturb by this incident I wrote a letter to corporate about this incident. Apparently the man’s name is Charles,I think Waldorf is in located in an astounding environment, the valet guys were wonderful however I will not be coming back nor would I recommend coming back due to Charles. He made me feel as if, I didn’t catch on to what him watching me, something bad might of happened to me.Very uncomfortable nerve wrecking experience I wouldn’t want anyone else to experience.

Undergoing maintenance and maybe another sale. They kicked my family off the lawn for drone pictures. Valet was unavailable when we arrived. Bourbon restaurant messed up our drink order then brought back new drinks and still charged for the bad ones. Manager said he’d call me twice and explain and never did. Go to the montage or the ritz. There’s a reason why these rooms are less expensive than the competition.
Olivia is amazing. She made our stay and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Ajay, front of house staff, ruined our anniversary surprise and said sorry and hung up. Very disappointed.The room is extremely overpriced for what you get. Its nice and there is a lot to offer but for $1000/night, I expect more along with a pool that can accommodate more than 20 people.
All the staff are great. Be aware this is a pricy place - drinks, snacks, the works. Not a great value on grabbing a snack on the go or any other such food or drink, just increased more than what seems reasonable. The gym was too small, albeit well equipped. It was unkempt, in the sense that users water bottles and what not were laying around after theyd gone. No oversight. My last day, exit doors were locked and could not get cool air in, let alone the fact thats a bit crazy vis-à-vis a fire hazard. TV too loud and no remote around to mute or change the channel While there is a locker room with whirlpool and sauna there, they are off limits to guests. Not sure why, even the one by the gym. Upside, room management was spectacular, well done.

This resort far exceeded our expectations. We came with 3 generations for a family vacation. Service was top drawer! We can’t express enough how perfect and relaxing it was. The Beach Club - your private Waldorf Astoria beach was incredible. You don’t have to lift a finger. Great dining, beach services, activities and more. Pool was wonderful with great views of the ocean. The entire staff made you feel as though you were the only guests. The service in EVERY area was OUTSTANDING. We actually met quite a few other guests who were repeaters. That’s the real testimony.Tons of other things to do close by (including Disneyland), but there’s not much reason to leave the resort. Guest Tip… stay here and be sure to make lunch and dinner reservations at the Monarch Bay Beach Club. Heaven!!We will be back!

I had horrible valet parking experiences not once but two times during one night stay. They never brought my car until I requested to check the status after over 20 minutes and 30 minutes of each time waiting. I feel like they didnt really care about me because Im Asian! $70.00 of valet fee with no option of self-parking was total worthless. Beware folks!
My family enjoyed a nice staycation here and the resort was wonderful. We had a great time. The rooms are nice, the resort is beautiful, the service was on point, and the food was delicious. The facility, staff and the property were fantastic! The restaurants were top notch and very worth the price. We even had the benefit of being able to watch a Grunion run under a full moon.
Beach staffs were more interested in talking among themselves. room service had small portions and cheap presentation. pool cushions are stained, towels are dated. Overall experience does not commensurate with a 5 star hotelThe good things. private beach access is always nice. But the staff needs better training and supervision.
Everything was great until the checkout. I had purchased my brother a gift card as a wedding present December of 2020 for $1,000.00. When he presented the card at checkout he was told it was no good by Daniel at the desk as this was now the Waldorf Astoria. He proceeded to tell this to my brother multiple times and was quite rude. He called me and I could hear Daniel in the background. I explained that the sign says Waldorf Astoria at Monarch Beach which Daniel did not want to hear.Finally while I called the head of reservations who was on Maternity leave he got a Manager Sara who was extremely understanding and helpful. Meanwhile I was connected with the acting head of reservations who was also very helpful and asked me for the number on the back of the card. Sara and the lady in reservations connected and the problem was resolved by them in about 10 minutes with kindness and concern. This is after Daniel was rude for over 20 minutes.My brother said that he had a great time, the dinner at the Steak Restaurant was amazing, and the golf great. In Short they had and an excellent time and were extremely complimentary on how courteous everyone was and the quality of the resort during their stay.It was a shame it was dampened by Daniel. The good news is they still had a great stay and would recommend the Hotel and Resort
Very nice facility. Rooms were beautiful and price was right. Food was great but would like to see a little more variety between the different restaurants. Wonderful if you intend to stay on resort - but nothing to walk to off of the resort (Everything was a cab ride away). Sunset views from the great lawn were phenomenal. Good mix of families, couples, and convention travellers.
Beautiful hotel. We just stopped by cause my daughter used to work at another Waldorf Astoria property, the Grand Wailea on Maui, and wanted to see the place.
No DND signs are provided, and housekeeping came into my room after sundown. Not sure what kind of service they’re trying to offer, but invading your privacy at night is not it. Would be zero stars if I could.Update: I requested that housekeeping not enter my room for the remainder of my stay, and when I got back from work the next day, my stuff was all moved around AGAIN by housekeeping. This hotel is completely incompetent.

Came here for relaxing Fourth of July cant get a place at the pool, cant get a spot at any of the restaurants. If you stay here you will soon find out everything is catered to the members not the hotel GUESTS . ..so make sure youre a member. Talked to the employees working at the main desk they didnt seem too concerned.Not to mention the long wait fir the vallet and the bellhop. Had to call 3 times for the bellhop and wait 35 minutes to get our vehicle from Vallet.This will be our last time staying at this Resort
The resort is beautiful and well maintained!- Room : Clean and not noisy air conditioner make a good sleep.- Resort : Nice pools and hotel’s shuttle can take you to the beach. It’s very convenient. If you want, you can also take a walk to. The trail surrounding the resort is beautiful.- Dining : Only did take out from the coffee shop. Almond Croissant and Marble cake are tasty.I think the negative part I experienced for this stay were 1). Hair dryer is way toooooo low. It doesn’t sound like a thing that luxury resort would do. 2). Construction was happening during my stay so I could hear very loud noise and made me wanted to get out of the room. It’s not a good!Anyway, overall experience was good! Would love to come back!
You might get insulted to your face and accused of having an attitude problem if youre Jewish and make any special requests like being on the ground floor to get in and out of your room on Sabbath. Additionally, they charge you $40 to deliver your cold catered kosher food to your room on Sabbath and might be insensitive to the fact that we dont sign receipts on Sabbath.In summary, my wife and I stayed at The Waldorf Monarch Beach for our anniversary a few weeks ago. I purchased flowers which caused a hold to be placed on our room until we arrived. After checking in, I came back to the front desk to ask for a room change, requesting ground floor access (which I had on a previous stay) so that we could enter and exit during Sabbath since we could not use the electronic keys. The representative named Daniel ultimately said to my face “we’re having an attitude problem here” to which I replied “We certainly are”. He doubled down with “yes, we are” as he walked away. My request was obviously a simple one had he paid attention, which is evidenced by the fact that when the staff member that originally checked me in returned, he resolved the issue in one second flat. No explanations needed. Simple.The situation left me disturbed, so I returned in the morning to inform the supervisor of my interaction. Short version was that she told me I was not the first to complain about the rep. She apologized and stated that he was already being demoted and would likely be fired. She said she would greatly appreciate it if I could please email her the details of my experience. Please note that her request for a formal complaint was unsolicited.After my stay, I took the time to send her a detailed account and requested confirmation that my complaint would be forwarded to the appropriate management. I received no response to my initial email or to my follow up email 2 weeks later.Bottom line is that theres a difference between care and lip service. If you want to be treated with dignity, this might not be the Waldorf location for you.
Great hotel and fantastic service. The resort, the room, restaurants, bars, pool and even the hallways are extremely well maintained, clean, and very welcoming, but what stands out the most in is this resort are the people who work there. Everyone that I had the pleasure to interact with from the front desk staff, bartenders, restaurant servers, pool assistants, house cleaners are truly the best. They are helpful, easy going, smiling, and will go out of their way to make you feel special. Kudos to the staff and the management for making my stay memorable. I’ll be back soon.
This was the most incredible stay we have had at any hotel or resort. The staff was absolutely AMAZING, they went above and beyond. They brought our Matt brought our daughter a Teddy Bear and a robe as they helped us switch rooms, it made our 2 year whole whole day. Every time room service arrived at the exact if not earlier then their quarter time, they knew you by name. The staff was so incredibly kind and helpful. My family and I will be coming back several times a year due to this experience. Thank you Waldorf & Team!
Overall an OK stay for 2 nights but didn’t feel 5*. The views are gorgeous. Service is hit or miss, and not friendly. Alberto and Maria (if I remember their names correctly) on the second day’s breakfast were amazing. However the gentleman I did the check-in with didn’t mention where the elevators are so we spent a few mins to find them. The first day’s breakfast they stated they will bring a heater but then forgot so I had to ask again. The barista at the cafe was grumpy. Rooms need a renovation, and why would you put the coffee maker inside the washroom? That’s awkward. And please clean the elevators.
We have been coming to this resort for years. The improvements made by the new management are very clear and so appreciated! It is cleaner, the food is better (finally!!) but the staff is still the lovely, helpful and friendly crew they always have been! This place is a good vibes only oasis. We count the days until we can visit again. Location is perfect especially if you are active, there are multiple restaurants and plenty of nooks and crannies to get alone time. Perfect.
We ended our stay after one night over Christmas break. The property was under construction and the room sounded like a waterfall when the room above us turned on the water. In addition, no ice available at the property. When we raised the issues with the staff, they were not helpful. One handed us our bill for the stay. For a property that charges ~ $1,500/night for our room, you expect more from the staff. We moved hotels for the rest of our stay. Last but not least, I sent 2 emails to Hilton and no one has responded when the generic email says someone will respond from the property within 3 days.
My Wife and I just returned from Cali and were fortunate to stay at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort. What a great experience! The Staff was pleasant, smiling, approached us to offer help in all areas, the food was great including the Beach Club experience....great food and great bartenders. We cant wait to go back for a personal trip!
I would highly recommend this place!My parents and I stayed here for 3 nights for my moms 50th birthday trip and my mom couldnt have had a better birthday weekend. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so friendly, and check in was super easy. We had a bell staff take up our luggage to our room, on the way to our room, he guided us and showed us where the restaurants were. We arrived to our room and it was clean and with a beautiful balcony overlooking the pool which we enjoyed during sunrise and sunset. I have to say every restaurant located at this resort had very good food. The food had tasted fresh and never disappointed us. Take the little ride in the tram to the beach club, and enjoy the beach, with friendly staff there who are ready to set up chairs, umbrellas, and give you towels. There are a lot of other items you are able to check out. I would highly recommend making reservations for the beach club restaurant. We were lucky enough to find a table during lunch time, but dinner was fully booked and they were not taking walk ins. Overall, we had an amazing trip and looking forward to going back.
My daughter and I recently had the sincere pleasure of staying at the Waldorf Astoria and it is a gorgeous hotel and the staff go above and beyond to make one’s stay as amazing as possible! We had a suite and the rooms were immaculate and the Hilton management has thought of everything that is necessary to maximize one’s comfort and pleasure. The views and grounds surrounding the property are equally as gorgeous and pleasing to the senses! We wish we’d had more time to enjoy the hotel and all of its amenities, as they offered a variety of workout opportunities from yoga, spin cycles, etc. We plan to return one day to fully enjoy all that this hotel has to offer its guests!!Thank you to all the staff for being so welcoming and amazing in every way and we look forward to another wonderful visit in the future!! I would highly recommend this property to others!!
What a let down. Property is lipstick on a old hotel. Felt like a 3 star Garden Inn. Rooms weren’t ready at 5:30pm check in. No walking paths and miles away from the beach. Only positive was the kind staff

Its fine, but I cant really recommend it. The location is lovely but the service is lacking and things are a bit run down.The bad: One day housekeeping left our door open all day, on another my son got a two inch splinter in his hand from a very in need of repair hand rail, and on our last day they deactivated our keys hours before check out and I had to wait in the lobby for half an hour to get them to let us back in our room. There was also a surprising amount of trash around the resort including under our beds in our room. At Aveo we barely saw our waiter and couldnt get refills on coffee, etc. We also ate at Part & Parcel, Sombra, and the Beach Club - everything was average at best. We were overcharged on several occasions, and when we checked out it took three attempts to get our bill right.The good: The pool and beach staff were both wonderful, as was our tram driver to and from the beach.
This hotel is top of the line. Unfortunately we didnt get a room with a great view. Paid $700/nt for this view. No late check-out available. The room was beautiful. I just kept the drapes shut to avoid looking at the construction site outside of our window.

Overall it’s a pretty hotel with a nice view but not worth the $. If you want to see the view just plan drinks or food and pop in for that. Staying there is not a good idea. Terrible wifi, bad cell service throughout the whole resort, daily construction noise, and good luck if you get stuck with a room in the low 300’s you’ll feel like you are in the shining…

Hands down, the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Been to almost 100 countries in my travels, always seek out a great hotel. This one exceeded expectations beyond what I can remember ever experiencing. The location is prime, not only having beautiful grounds and pools, surrounded by a private golf course, but there is a short trolley ride that takes less than five minutes which will deliver you to private resort beach. Southern California beaches are notoriously crowded, but this one is luxuriously under crowded.Everywhere you go on this property, you will encounter the most amazing service. When we went to the pool, there was a pool boy who greeted us, grabbed a set of towels and fresh cotton chair covers, and escorted us to a comfortable location with a view of the pool and the ocean. The lounge chairs have thick comfy cushions, and with a fresh cover on them that was assembled by the staff just for you. Something similar happened when we visited the beach. The staff greeted us, set up chairs for us to sit in, and erected an umbrella to give us shade. Provided us with a set of towels, and checked in on this after period of time. It was astonishing the level of service.We were celebrating a wedding anniversary, and the host of the hotel who had contacted us before arriving arranged to have a nice bottle of champagne in a silver ice bucket placed in our room. When we arrived at the hotel, we got a complementary upgrade to a room with an ocean and pool view. The room service we had for breakfast arrived hot and delicious. Although they promised it in 30 minutes, at the 30 minute mark we received a phone call from them saying that our food was just being carted, and it would be at the room in a few minutes. No need to worry about why it was late. It arrived five minutes later hot and ready.Many times when we’re staying in a nice hotel, such as a recent stay at the JW Marriott, we ask for some extra towels or some extra coffee. We often repeat the request or call in a second time, and eventually we have to chase down the housekeeping staff to get the stuff ourselves. This is a pattern that has repeated itself over and over. Not here. We mentioned it one time to one person. It was in our room when we returned from the pool. Similarly, while many hotels are cutting back on housekeeping, this one seems to do it twice a day. In the evening, there was a turn down service in which slippers were set out bedside, and a fresh cucumber facial spray was put on each of our end tables. They also refresh the towels and the bedding. I just can’t say enough good thingsMany hotels have nice pools, and nice views, and nice restaurants. This one has all of those things. But with such an a part is the service. The service is some of the best I’ve ever seen anywhere in any setting. It’s a very expensive property, but when you think about the service that you’re getting, you can understand why. If you have the money, you should experience this place for yourself
This is a review solely on the reservation system and lack of communication. I booked a room for 2 nights and received a confirmation that we could cancel up until the night before at 11:59pm. I called that morning at 10am and tried to cancel and re-book for December as we have an illness in the family and need to re-book. Someone at their location changed our booking the day before to a different room and it moved the cancellation window from the day before to 7 days before. I called Hilton to re-book and have now talked to 5 different people from Hilton and the Waldorf and the issue still isnt resolved. Something that should have taken 5 minutes to do, has now taken hours of my time today. Every person keeps saying they see what the issue is but they dont have the authority to update it. They keep promising to get me to someone who can, but it keeps running in circles with everyone saying its someone elses fault/responsibility. For a 5 star resort, this service is deplorable. I would expect better. (Edit: after a frustrating 3.5 hour ordeal, they were able to resolve the situation and were very apologetic. The issue was a system glitch due to a recent adjustment in their cancellation policy. Im editing this to 5 stars, hoping that my stay in a few weeks warrants a 5 star rating)
My friend and I stayed for one night of my birthday trip and we couldnt have been happier. From the moment of our arrival, we were greeted by incredibly nice and welcoming staff. Check in was quick and easy, and Scott took our luggage to our room and was both wonderful and informative. Our room was lovely and clean, and we enjoyed our balcony in the evening. We had lunch reservations at the Beach Club and took the tram down. The staff made it so easy for Scott to retrieve our luggage and hold it for us, as well as helping us get a pair of shoes we left in the car and showing us where to catch the tram. The tram driver was nice and the little drive down was lovely for seeing the rest of the property. The Beach Club had amazing food, a wonderful wait staff, and lovely views of the private beach.I would definitely recommend!
We had such a wonderful time last weekend at the Waldorf. Starting with the valet, Front desk and concierge people, each one of them was very nice and helpful. We were upgraded to an ocean view room and the view from the balcony was amazing. Lucinda from concierge was very helpful in making our restaurant reservations during the stay. She also send a bottle chardonnay and chocolates to our room when she found out that I was celebrating a birthday. That was a very nice gesture. The service was excellent everywhere. I would highly recommend this resort.
The most amazing property we’ve ever stayed at! The views and pool area are just fantastic. Aveo was incredibly slow service twice while we were there so plan for that. Renting a cabana if it’s busy is well worth it. If it’s not busy while you’re there, not worth the money. We will def go back.
One of the nicest hotels Ive ever been. We got a room on the 6th floor which is the highest level with a pool view. The room had a balcony with seats. We loved the pool area. It was relaxing and quiet and clean.The hotel has these mini shuttles that will take you to one of the restaurants that is located at the beach. It has a perfect view and great food.You can then walk to the beach and they provide you with a beach chair and umbrella. The beach is privet to the hotel guests and the residents in that area. It is not a crowded beach since it is geated.The staff were all welcoming and helpful. 10/10 recommend staying here for a relaxing vacation.
This place was amazing! You can easily get lost but in doing so you will find more to the hotel. Next time I stay there, it will not be for business. I am looking forward to that.
Attended a Gala last weekend at the hotel. Food and hotel was amazing. Even more amazing was the staff. My shoe broke while at the Gala. Staff went above and beyond to help me. They were so kind an accommodating. Cannot thank them enough !
A very classy place.Pros: Well-presented throughout. Amazing views. Great check-in experience. Heated pools and hot tubs were great.Cons: Noisy old heater in otherwise updated room. Did not get a good sleep because of it.Could be improved: the service in the restaurant was welcoming but lacked polishThe BAD: I pointed out to a big fresh scratch on my car to the valet. Did they do anything about it? No, except for a cop-out response There is simply nothing around that could leave a scratch like that.If I was alone, Id push the claim forward but did not want to ruin the vacation mood for my other half. Drivers beware!

What an amazing resort! My second time at a Waldorf Astoria and the WA is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands (Watch out Marriott Bonvoy!!).It is very obvious why this resort is a 5 Star resort- the level of service is amazing here and all the employees I interacted with are so so so nice! It’s very refreshing to know that service still exists in the post-covid world.Also I want to commend the check-in staff as well. I don’t remember the gentleman’s name who helped me but he was so nice and welcoming.The staff also go out of their way to bring you water, ice, and chocolates in the evening! Thanks guys.
Came for convention stayed extra to relax, great property, beach club is fantastic, spa and gym, great, alot of activity while there took away from a peaceful stay. Paris Hilton filming, wedding with a lot of smoking, loud parties. Room was nice but hallway noise very loud.Cabana was supposed to be taken care of but charged on bill.Michael Minas dining experience was fantastic!Overall, would go back,
CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE YOU LEAVEYou will see many questionable charges, like charge for bellboy $15???? (What ? who charges for bellboy to bring your stuff to the room??); twice a day charge for valet parking (I had only one car), tip for housekeeping??? (so what happened to that $20 a day I left them?) I mean the accommodations is pretty nice. But, they try to stick it to you. Very un-American.
Not staying there until Daniel ( front desk ) is fired .My husband and I loved WA hotels and monarch beach was one of our favorite locations until last stay. The customer service didn’t only went down but simply humiliated us on our anniversary weekend. My husband reserved the room and ordered flowers to surprise me, so the front desk gave us the room where the flowers were delivered to ( part of the surprise), randomly on the 3rd floor. When we asked to accommodate us in similar ( not upgraded) room but on the 1st floor ( we keep Shabbos, so it would be easier for us as we don’t use elevator and hotel staff, so we don’t bother them to get in / out of our room ) Daniel on front desk was very unprofessional unpleasant, did not understand our request at all and more than that accused us in having bad attitude!!! We travel a lot, but even in simple hotels no one say to you “Ou, I see you have a attitude here !”Really ? The customers are the people who pay your salary indirectly, Daniel, the hotel is the company that have a certain level of reputation this is your direct employer.There are a lot of other nice hotels with excellent customer service, so this is our choice, not WA monarch beach until adjustments are completed.I will also talk to corporate office to address this issue .

We stayed over the Labor Day weekend celebrating being 2 years cancer free. Sadly the weekend did not live up to what we had become accustomed to. The pool area was extremely dirty, trash in the pool and all over the deck. The room had crumbs in the drawers and the glass shelves in the bathroom hadn’t been dusted in what seemed like weeks. Then, to top it all off, the pool chemicals ruined my bathing suit, bleaching it from my stomach down, the clear water line of where I was wading in the pool. When I emailed the head of the department handling the pools, I did not receive a reply. We have stayed many times, and I will say this was the only time we had such a sub par experience.
Everything here is exquisite and the service staff is held to very high standards, but I will say that I wasn’t able to sleep-in at all on my vacation because the service carts the use are so obnoxiously loud, they could use a little WD40 to stop squeaking. It was the only part of the vacation that I had an issue with. The staff was fabulous, spa was great, food favorite ever, it’s a pricey place but, worth every penny!! Just fix the carts!!
You won’t find a nicer full service resort on the OC waterfront than this Waldorf Astoria resort property! We only wish we had arrived early enough to take advantage of an early check-in, and stayed late enough to request a late check-out if given approval to so that we could’ve enjoyed every minute of our stay for as long as we possibly could. We couldn’t stop thinking of all the staff who serviced us from arrival to departure. Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach is my favorite resort in SoCal. The newly refreshed room is so nice and modern yet comfortable, the staffs are all kind. The stay here makes me feel like I’m at a vacation in somewhere else. It’s a nice getaway right here in Southern California.
Amazing hotel, truly a five star experience from valet to check out. Have to give a special shout out to Ralene who made us feel instantly welcome and relaxed and helped facilitate our requests without hesitation. We’ll definitely be back.

The hotel went above and beyond to treat our group with Arrow Exterminators with the upmost care and service.Daniel at the front desk was exceptional with his attentiveness and care. He knew everyones name that walked by! He went above and beyond to take care of my dad and I during our stay. The entire staff was incredible!
All staff welcomed us and treated us special. And the amenities helped remove our life stresses. They made our anniversary stay outstanding.We are planning to return to the Waldorf Astoria, Monarch Beach.It lives up to its name.
+ Nice, clean and posh hotel rooms.+ Great service overall. Tram to the beach nearby.+ Beautiful large bathrooms and great bath amenities.- Not many vegan options in dining.- Very expensive parking and in-room dining (I paid ~$33 for two lattes).- Suites are just large rooms, no separate living area/fridge/microwave etc.- We requested for a notepad, but when it arrived we were not in the room, so the staff entered the room and put it inside. That just made us uncomfortable, as we had all our stuff lying there. To hotels credit they comped us for this, but then made a big fuss for anything we requested in-room instead of understanding the actual issue.
Awesome hotel/resort. The rooms are nice, spacious & have balconies or patios. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful - Ocean views from almost everywhere at the hotel. The staff is top notch. Great service. House keeping does a Fantastic job too, so you feel more comfortable with a room cleaned thoroughly. Even the golf course is amazing.Everything is pricey but all worth it...Im a fan. Highly recommend this place.

First class service and an amazing property. The Bourbon steak house broiled lobster was fantastic!
Very nice property, staff is excellent. But had some minor issues with the room quality and comfort (but I did not report these, so I did not give them a chance to fix). Definitely not up to par with what I would think a Waldorf would offer however. And really just an awful experience at Bourbon Steak, which they did not go out of their way to fix. Would strongly recommend against eating there, spend your money at the Beach Club restaurant, which is truly top notch service and food.
I work here....as a night janitor.... they treat me great. The place is very clean. The night security workers are the best, Aj, Brian, Juan and the rest.Valet is the best.Rooms are worth every penny. They are great.This is an event type of resort. These events are the best. I would recommend Monarch Beach for all events.ABM Industries the cleaning staff does an excellent job at cleaning thanks to Miss Elle, head manager, Raphi, supervisor, Gil, and the rest.The third floor night cooking staff is also the best cooking staff I have ev er seen
The property is amazing and the pool area is so nice and clean. Took my family for 5 days. My kid loved all the activities the resort offered. The hotel employees are so friendly and accommodating and will stop at nothing to make your stay pleasant. We cant wait to go back!
Having just completed a 4 day stay here, my wife and I were blown away by the service, helpfulness of the staff, and quality of the property. There are many high end resorts to chose from in OC, and we are so glad we chose Monarch Beach. The food is incredible, the grounds immaculate, and the staff go above and beyond to make it a pleasurable experience. We will definitely return.

WA Monarch Beach is definitely one of the best resorts I have been to. Normally I feel three days are way enough for a resort hotel, but I just wish I could stay here longer. Christian made our stay so amazing as he went above and beyond to help us celebrate our anniversary. I’ll highly recommend here!
** Elham - Update: I did call and left a message with the spa but never received a call back. Shocker.** Related to spa. I thought awhile before writing this review...My husband recommended I call management to make them aware of the rudeness of one of their spa staff members and give them a chance to correct it, but I never got around to it and my trip is coming up. Heres my story: I called and was able to reach a member of the spa the second day of calling on June 23. I already knew which days I wanted to make massage appointments and the particular services for my friend and me and which massage therapists had availability. I called to receive a recommendation for who would be a good fit for me and my friend - she prefers a very soft massage, I prefer a deeper massage.The lady who answered absolutely refused to provide any service: no recommendation of which of the available therapists would be a good fit, refusal to provide any information about modalities/strengths, refusal to at all indicate which of the available therapists had adequate experience, etc. She answered every question with an I plead the fifth response of All massage therapist are equally trained to the highest standards of Waldorf Astoria.... Mind you, Ive been receiving routine massages for 20 years; all therapists are not going to be an equal fit for every person. Its standard practice for a knowledgeable spa staff member to be able to make a recommendation for the best experience for the customer.When I tried to just get general information to try to match us to a massage therapist myself, she acted like I was asking for Social Security numbers and stated how she cant release any information about their employees due to confidentially.Get this....after providing absolutely no service, she eventually HUNG UP!!! So basically you want me to pay over $400 for a 90 minute massage with a therapist whose name I pick out of a hat and you get to act rude to me? If it was me, I would not have booked a massage there at this point. But this was where my friend wanted to go, and I am going to give it a chance to have my mind blown by the amenities and actual massage. So I booked online with no more information than I had before the phone call. But honestly, never again. So, so rude.
The hotel is beautiful, however from 7 AM to 5 PM every day there was jackhammer style construction directly above our room. I called in several times to ask to be moved which I was told they couldn’t do. I told the manager that the room should never have been rented. They ended up giving a $100 credit total. For the cost of this hotel having to listen to head pounding construction all day is unacceptable. Overall I was disappointed.
I took the kids and they as well as me loved it. It was a luxury casual hotel with a great staff. Plenty of kid friendly activities and adult one’s too. Would definitely go back tomorrow if I could.The food was good but not excellent. A little room for improvement.Clean and spacious rooms, great amenities including robes and slippers.Very clean and we felt very safe during this corona virus time.Everyone was friendly and helpful, some of the best staff I have encountered.
Luxurious!!!! From the greetings at arrival to check out. Everything was superb! 🤌🏾 My family stayed for four days and we never left the hotel. The rooms were extremely clean and cleaned daily. The food omg the food I dont even know where to start you cant go wrong at any of the restaurants, poolside or even room service. Wonderful views of the ocean and gulf course, tranquil garden with gazebo. The trolley that you can hop on at multiple stops around the hotel takes you to Monarch Beach with another wonderful restaurant or you can come at night and make smores at one of the fire pits. Trust me you wont be disappointed with your stay.
This is on star considering the services you get for the money that you pay.We were budgeting for 4k for a 2 night stay and we ended up paying $ 3800.The services we got was half that.Location is not a real beach hotel or resort, you have to take trip with a car to get to the beach !The coffee table was permanently dirty and beyond disgusting, I complained, they didnt change it !The coaches were dirty an old.When I told the manager we got a wrong package due to their website not being very user friendly, they helped half way without fixing it, they could have fixed it, it doesnt cost too much but they were happy to give generic PR type responses!we also asked them to charge the car for us and they promised to do so, they didnt so we had to scramble next day to get a charger !overall you get half of your moneys worth in service and location, I wouldnt go back there !
Exceptional services at this location. Waldorf Astoria never disappointed me. Valet Parking, Spa, Beach Club, Food & Beverages, all made us feel so special.
A Birthday experience that is unforgettable! I truly enjoyed this magical stay. The grounds of the resort and views of the beach are breathtaking. Everything was luxurious and calming. The hotel went above and beyond to make sure that all of our needs were met. This is a five star resort and it certainly lives up to it. Thank you for memories that will definitely last me a lifetime.

Beautiful hotel and property. As a diamond member I was upgraded from standard room to room with outside fireplace. Came over quickly when needed help. Lobby bathroom was really nice.
Omg....I had a very unexpected 2 week stay at this beautiful property. The staff are absolutely amazing...thank you Victoria, Jennifer, Ashley, Nattie, Christian, Nicolette and every single other staff member whose name I didnt catch. You are all wonderful! Food was great in all venues and housekeeping terrific. Highly recommend!
The customer service was amazing! Our room had the most spectacular view of the golf course and ocean. The room was spacious! I was very impressed with the entire resort! Food, spa, gym, entertainment, golf etc everything that incredible! I will definitely be back!
Good experience overall. Had maintenance stop by twice and a fire alarm in the morning for a quick 1 day stay-cation.
Love this property! The rooms are cozy and accommodating. Their bathtubs are everything you are expecting if you live a bubble bath. Nice balcony’s- just not on the ocean.
Went to visit a friend whos staying there. Also played tennis at the courts right across, so parked car there. The resort itself is absolutely luxurious and very beautiful indoors. I enjoyed my swim in the pool with a great view. It is expensive though, with rates going up to 400 a night. Even 2 eggs for breakfast costs 14$ and a coffee 10$.
Perfect. The scenery is invincible, and the service details are in place. The steakhouse downstairs is super delicious!

Was here for a conference. Solid hotel but not my vibe (nothing nearby, restaurants are tasty but expensive for what you get and there isnt a lot of variety)

Staff are great, food is below par.I couldn’t believe they used tinned chicken in their salads. This is a 5 star hotel and I would expect more.

2023-11-30 16:17:04An amazing location right on Dana Point. A beautiful October stay and the weather was absolutely perfect. The hotel was gorgeous- the view of the ocean was beautiful and the customer service wherever you went was on point. The beach is a tram ride away and there is a nice restaurant to eat at and enjoy the view before spending the afternoon on the beach. They provide towels, chairs and sunscreen for you. I even took a dip in the ocean which wasn’t too bad at 63 degrees. If you’re a golfer- the course is absolutely beautiful here. We stayed in a King Room with a fireplace. They provided us with a S’more kit which was lovely. Room service food was delicious and the Nespresso machine in the room made me buy one when I returned home. House keeping and Turn down service were always on top of everything and the staff was always kind and friendly. Can not wait to visit again!

2023-10-28 01:55:51Russell and Mario made our stay extra welcoming. They were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our time at the Waldorf. We enjoyed our stay so much that I booked an extra day and Russell assisted us to stay in our room. The resort is fantastic, serene, and a great place for a relaxing vacation. I highly recommend taking the R.I.P.P.E.D workout class with Kelly, its a great class and youll get a good sweat!

2023-11-03 22:48:10My husband and I took a few days to get away to this beautiful resort. We were greeted by the valet who was very insistent in taking our car even though we told him we are dropping off our luggage and going to park our car somewhere else. He was very pushy trying to park it just for a few minutes while we unloaded. He even went as far as not allowing my husband to help me transport our bags to the front door. My husband had to stay with the car at all times, the valet said. This first interaction made me quite hesitant on what I should expect as I checked in.Check in: It was absolutely amazing and the exact opposite of our experience with the valet. Russell greeted me with a warm, friendly smile, welcomed me to the Waldorf and offered me cold waters. He was prompt in looking up my reservation and acknowledged me as a Diamond Hilton member. He quickly told me that even though we arrived super early (11:30 am) he would put me on the list to get a room ASAP. He went over all the benefits they provide Diamond members and took my contact information so they could contact me when our room was ready. My husband and I then went on our way to park our car off site (the hotel charges $70 for valet). It wasn’t more than 15 minutes after that we received a text saying that our room was ready. We quickly made our way back to the hotel where they immediately told us we had been upgraded to a suite and had their bell hop, Marcel, help us up to our room. Marcel was so friendly and had so many great recommendations for us on what to do at the resort, in the area, etc. He recommended the pizza at the local coffee/food bar in the resort. We did take his recommendation for the pizza and it was pretty good. Marcel was another gem that helped us!Our room: So it was beautifully appointed with a large glass shower, walk in closet with comfy slippers and robes, a separate water closet, double sinks, a bar area, living room with desk are and patio and of course the main bedroom with a comfortable king bed. I was impressed! It was very clean throughout, which is VERY important to me. The only thing missing was a view but I am not complaining at all. I feel very fortunate to have been upgraded to this beautiful room.Our Visit: We took the bus trolley to the beach after we unpacked and changed into our beach wear. The trolley was easy to find and ran throughout the day. It was very convenient! The beach provides chairs and umbrellas for their guests. They bring the chairs and umbrellas to whatever location you want on the beach. Great Service! The Beach House was great with options for food and drinks, and wonderful places to sit. It had a fabulous vibe! We spent many hours on the beach reading, walking the shore and then going up to the Beach House to watch a volleyball tournament. So fun! For dinner we actually ordered a pizza & a Caesar salad and ate it on our balcony. It was perfectly relaxing. We were able to take advantage of the beautiful grounds and walked around the premises and found so many cute seating areas to have a cocktail and relax. The next morning we found an outdoor fire pit where we sat, read and had our coffee. I inquired at the front desk if we could have a late check out so that I could join the yoga class their gym offered. They didn’t hesitate and allowed us to check out late. I was able to join the yoga class which took place on their spa’s pool deck. It turned out to be a small class of only 3 of us and our instructor, Laura. Laura was wonderful and very helpful in making sure I was doing my poses correctly. I truly enjoyed the class! Before we left we ordered a chicken caprese sandwich at the coffee place again and the sandwich was delicious. I recommend it.Check out: Super easy and fast. They had our bill ready and it was correct. They asked if our stay was good and thanked us for visiting and that they hoped to see us again.We will be back again!

2023-11-22 20:09:11My wife and I decided to celebrate our anniversary at Waldorf. And it did not disappoint us. Service was impactable. It starts when we arrive, and valet parking (Nathan) was extremely polite and helpful. During the check-in, (Tram) was very accommodating. She got us a gorgeous one-bedroom suite with an ocean view. My wife was so happy with the amenities offered by the resort include the garden and swing pool. Concierge even got us a reservation at March Beach Club with ocean front view. Overall, my wife and I had wonderful times over the weekend at Waldorf. We are looking forward to our next visit soon.

2023-09-26 03:38:33My husband and I stayed here for a celebration weekend getaway. Everything about our stay was top knotch luxury. Our check-in experience was wonderful. Our room was lovely and everything was great. We had a lovely balcony that we enjoyed. The turn down service was excellent. We did the breakfast buffet but would opt for the menu items in the future. All the employees were incredibly helpful, kind, and professional. We are looking forward to staying here in the future.

2023-08-29 10:04:24Love the pet friendly atmosphere. Our family attended for a wedding. Incredible location. Sunsets that take your breath away. Walk alone at night and feel super safe.Resort is very cold so pack long sleeve and covers for when 5pm hits (we went in August). They crank the AC which is fantastic but keep this in mind.Dogs everywhere! Super pet friendly, great for gym lovers, walk takers and obviously golfers. Even if you don’t golf, this resort is amazing.Keep in mind the bathrooms are all shutters, little privacy however you can watch tv from the bathtub.Location is walkable to stores (15m) and a short distance drive to many attractions and restaurants. We recommend Stella’s Italian, the Bianca white pizza.

2023-11-22 10:05:50This was our first hotel stay with our baby and we had much higher hopes for the quality of stay that it would be given the name, the reviews, and the price. Everyone we met or talked to was extremely nice, so I’ll start off by saying they really tried. However, as nice as they were, there seemed to be some massive miscommunications and missteps.When we first checked into the hotel, we were given a room that smelled very strongly of cigarettes. The baby crib was even set up inside of it. It was odd that they continued setting it up for a small baby when it smelled that way.We were then moved into another room, which smelt perfectly fine (the bellman handled all of that for us and was exceptional.) However, it took another few hours for the crib and diaper pail to be moved to our new room. When the crib did arrive, the mattress was terrible. It’s very lumpy and hard.When we called about the crib mattress, someone at the front desk advised that we try their pack n plays instead and had it sent to our room. Again, a great effort at good service. However, when it arrived, there was no mattress included. It was just the frame. We called the front desk multiple times and we were told that the hotel doesn’t offer pack n plays (even when one had been delivered to us.)All in all, it felt like everyone was genuinely trying but wires were crossed or something because it always fell short. There was a large wedding the weekend we were there so perhaps all the resources and attention were diverted to that. I’m not quite sure. I would not recommend it for families. Might be better for solo travelers and couples.

2023-11-27 05:07:32It was actually bad. We both Diamond and travel a lot but this time our expect was wrong.Also, we had bleeding accident to our puppy accident but no one came to us. Front office staff checked our puppy and reported to management team, but no one came physically and front desk staff just said ‘sorry, we will remove one day pet fee’ which is only $50? Waldorf should be more careful about warning sign around yard area for pet. I will send it to guest service team Hilton too.
