So me and my partner decided to stop at this Walmart being in was on our way home. Prior to us walking inside I waited at the front for my partner to bring a cart inside. While in the front I noticed an old Caucasian male marking casually marking receipts as each customer walked past. Not looking at the the receipts nor what was in their cart at all just marking each receipt with his highlighter.We spent about 30 minutes in the store and purchased exactly 6 items which were all bulky and easily noticeable in the cart we had.We get to the front at 12:52pm (10/23/2023) and the same old Caucasian male was still there, he looks at our receipt and triple checks every thing that was in the cart to match with the receipt. I identify as mixed race. First glance you see my caramel brown skin. I do not appreciate this racist old man overlooking every customer with huge purchases in their cart for me to get to the front and have him triple checking my cart like I stole something. I even recorded him allowing all the Caucasian patrons to casually keep it moving no matter the size of their purchase. I also took the time out to seek a manager whose tag says operations coach and his name is Steven to explain the situation. Action needs to be taken, it’s 2023. This is definitely unacceptable. I was told the footage will be looked in to. As many people as he let leave they could have been stealing but I get stopped for 6 big bulky items that I actually paid for.

Its a beautiful store. Its really big. Probably the biggest Walmart Ive been to in a long time. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I thought that the Christmas crowds were extremely rude. One criticism I have of the stories is that the aisles are too narrow. It made my shopping trip difficult as I was riding a powered shopping cart (since Im disabled).

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! How do you have so many employees walking around but can’t assist a customer? I had to wait for over 15 minutes at the dog section for someone to come and unlock the door for flea medicine, meanwhile, plenty of workers just passing by not bothering to ask if I’ve been helped, and when they finally came with the key, didn’t even acknowledge that I’ve been inconvenienced. The Pickup department is also a joke. They have a number for you to call so they can bring your items out to you, but no one answers the phone! I was calling for hours, finally I just drove down there and confronted the first employee I saw Alex Morales, and thank goodness he went and got my order and was very apologetic for my unfortunate experience. You guys need more employees like Alex Morales or do better with your customer service training.

Indian worker was so rude to me. She kept trying to ignore me and skip to other customers when I requested for her to unlock acne wash. Her tone was off putting when she said I needed to be ready yet I told her from the jump I needed acne wash from the other side. I had to literally follow her around and she was asking other customers if they had been helped when I was on the same aisle as her a few isles over. This location has a workflow backup because they have employees who ignore black customers who ask for help. They make their jobs so much harder than it needs to be by going out of their way to avoid customers who look like me. This woman created unnecessary tension when there didn’t need to be any. Why take a job at Walmart if you know you are selective in who you are willing to help?

I normally don’t write reviews for Walmart because people tend to avoid them like the plague but this has got to be the nicest Walmart I have ever stepped foot in.Now I will say that when the Walmart Supercenter opened up in Riverside that was pretty nice. And the one in Irvine by Spectrum used to be just as nice but they shut it down probably because the hoity toity neighbors didn’t want Walmart staining the perception of Irvine glamour.But this location is definitely nice. I mean it’s Porter Ranch, there’s really no surprise that this is the best you’re gonna get in the valley but trust me when I say that in comparison to West Hills and Panorama City it is leaps and bounds better than those two.One thing I don’t like is that for some reason they don’t stock Beatbox Beverages here when other locations in the Midwest do. Maybe it’s a CA thing. Maybe not. Point is, I’d love to see the selection here especially the green apple flavor. They have the floor space for it.I may be coming at the right time but I’ve never faced an insane crowd or the notorious Walmart demographic. I also love that the produce isn’t old or expired because other Walmart locations don’t have the best produce options.Overall, it’s a really lovely experience and definitely gives good ol’ Target a run for its money.(39/100—2023)

Had everything I needed, but the bathrooms were disgusting. Paper towels all over the floor, low on toilet paper, clogged toilets, and poop stains on the seats. It looked as if the restrooms hadnt been serviced since opening.

Always too many employees yet no body can actually help you. Store is a joke. Everytime I go on there they have pallets of items on the isles along with a few workers and the store isnt closed for restocking yet. I find it a huge inconvenience to ever shop at that store. Never can find what you need nor anybody to help you find it. Extremely unhappy with this Walmart. This stocking the store shelves and having pallet upon pallet on the isles happens daily. I get off work late and run on to grab something for dinner but its more aggravating than its worth. Wont be going back anytime soon.

Very nice, not enough mattresses for sale or related furniture for them. Plenty of walking space but nothing really interesting to buy. It actually feels quite small. I prefer the Walmart in paramount for some reason. I like the long horrible lines and and overworked underpaid staff all on the verge of homelessness from one paycheck away who live over 10 miles away from home. Maybe its just me.

This Porter Ranch Walmart is nicely done on the inside. It is well stocked in the grocery section. The problem I have with this store is their focus on pushing customers to use the self-checkout area. I refuse to use them, because they eliminate jobs. The self-checkout area has expanded so much over the past couple of years I think it is actually larger than the staffed checkout registers. When I was there the other day, 8 registers were not staffed. The remaining 5 registers were staffed and each one had a huge line of people waiting to get checked out. This is a result of staff reductions because of those self-checkout areas they installed. People losing their jobs because of it. Makes me angry that Walmart is doing this.

This Walmart really need to improve their online pickup process. It was never stated on the email where the curbside pickup would be, in most if not all stores its basically in front of the store. But at this Walmart location, the pickup location is on the side which you can miss if youre not familiar with the area. They have like 4 curbside pickup spot in front of the store but its for pharmacy orders. I had to go inside Walmart and ask if I could pickup my order and the lady working there told me to go toward the Stop sign and then turn left. When I got to the curbside pickup area, I checked in on the app (they only had spots 1-5 available to choose from even when there are like 10 spots). I checked in and waited 10 minutes, no one came out so I had to call the number on the sign. After like 20 rings, someone picked up and said theyll bring me out my order. That took another 10 minutes and when it came out, my item was damaged.

If I can give this store a 0 star I would! I went in to buy a cooler and it was sealed and closed, I got home opened it and it was missing parts and looked used and on top of all that it had a black widow in it with a web!! I went to the store to return it and they said it wasn’t their problem and were being so rude and tried to say that i was lying. Everyone in that store is rude. Save your time and money and don’t go to this walmart.

So they changed their store, now the isles are far too small. Customer service closed hours before the store does. Oh and their new online order pickup location. Drive around back to the very darkness part of the parking lot, call the phone number and it goes to a not working voicemail. Fells like hobo Sams thrift shop, not a multi million dollar retail store chain.

Horrible store experience with customer service workers, working 8/01/23 at around 6:30pm - 8pm including Coach Richard, I had a return to make because a hard drive I purchased at the panorama location wasnt working, I live closer to porter ranch, workers refused my return because the seriel didnt match the box seriel, that is how I purchased it from a Walmart, I asked to speak with a manager and he told me he couldnt return it because seriels didnt match and would raise his voice to tell me is there anything else I can help you with? I told him what he was saying was no where on the receipt nor on their policies displayed he left and came back with the policy highlight and I told him thats nice but it still isnt on the receipt or anywhere displayed, I called customer service and a nice lady was able to submit a ticket for me to speak to the store manager Oscar and he would definitely take the return but I would have to go back the next day which was my plan... The following day I ended up driving near the Burbank location which I took my return and they just looked at the drive asked what was wrong and poof granted my return...coach richard was wrong and shpuld be delt with accordingly as well as the workers being rude and Condescending

In the last 20 years ive tried very hard to give more business to the mom and pop stores. Thinking it would be more expensive, in the long run I was wrong.But sometimes u got to go to walmart! I cant say this is true elsewhere but in California, I honestly believe they are trying to force us to shop online. Ive never spent less than 20 min in line for checkout and u dont want to know about the wait time when returning an item. We went there to buy kids bicycle, online showed there were plenty of then. We asked one of the associates where the bike aile was and told to go out to the garden area. Probably the most unorganized walmart I have ever been to (please look at the pictures). There was all the maintenance equipment or some sort of thing all blocking the bike aile. And we were told to get whatever we want by ourself smh. My husband literally had to climb up the entire things to get the bike. We were that desperate to get the bike because we had to go to a kids birthday party otherwise we definitely would have gone to another Walmart location.

Been going here for 11 years now as it is pretty close to my work. Love the place, love the workers, they all smile at you and communicate well if needed be. They did however rearrange the place, so Im trying to get learn the locations of their products. I only gave 4 stars because I believe they can do a better and faster service on their pickup system. They have a lot of space, but itll always take me 10 to 15 minutes from the time I parked to the time they deliver my product. Could do a whole lot better, can learn a thing or two from Targets pickup service.

Went to Porter Ranch store in California on 8/17 at 9:30pm. Teresa informed me customer service was closed in a demeaning attitude in my attempt to find out the correct hours. She informed me we closed at 9pm tonight because the boss said we could WOW, what customer service. Several employees were just standing around, and yet, they closed early.This location always changes hours of service without notice and inconvenience to customers.

Look, unless you live in the nearby area, coming to Walmart Porter Ranch means you purposely drove by other stores to get the Walmart experience. The everyday low prices are great and they have what you need but everything else is tough to look at. The parking lot is littered with shopping carts, various parts of the store are boarded up and/or have construction cones on the floor and theyve managed to make an enormous warehouse feel crowded due to the insane amounts of product they stack on the shelves. Also, and I may be wrong, but Walmart just attracts the absolute rudest humans on earth. Its not the fault of any of the employees who are very nice and willing to help but its so evident that they HATE working here. You come here because its the cheapest or only place that has something and you needed it faster than what Amazon could do. Get in and Get out.

I don’t have an issue with Walmart but I do have an issue with the woman on the register whom her name was Saqia. She asked me for bags I said yes please. She continued to bag my items and then tried to smash my bag of chips into a bag that was already filled. When I asked for another bag for them, she looked at me awful and I had to get the bag myself I am paying for them I don’t see the issue… When I got my receipt back, I said thank you and she just looked at me and didn’t say a word. If you don’t like your job don’t work there especially with that attitude.

My son went riding on his bike in the scorching heat to Porter ranch from sylmar...I called the Walmart store to see if the dept. It was a huge stores but they didnt have skates. At least in my kids size. I left a target to go here because I thought they might have more of a selection and great prices. Boy! Was I wrong. At Target they had knee pads with them for 44.99. Walmart had the skates for 45.99 with taxes with extra changeable inline blades, no pads and warranty protection. I just got it here anyway. They loved them when they got home. I guess in the end. Thats all that matters.

Curbside is easy for essentials, on the side of the store, follow the signs. Very easy to find! Fulfilling the order takes a long time, but they are always friendly and I’ve never had an issue with them forgetting anything . Update on 5/23/2023I tried their $2 pulled for Sandwich. Its pretty good and the price is more than reasonable.Now they added fancy California Lottery machines with big touch screens so you can part with your money easier. The big draw to this Walmart are toys. Better arrive early before the scalpers/resellers clean out whatever you were looking for.I need to come very early if I want a chance to get favorite toys. Resellers pick through them by the time I am there.

Julia is the rudest lady I have ever met in my life. I have never met someone her age with such a cold aura and a short temper. Her smart remarks took me completely by surprise considering the only words I had said to her before it all started was “ yes mam” when she asked me did I want any bags. This Walmart is where I do all of my shopping and every time I’ve had any encounter with her she speaks to me with the upmost disrespect as if she knows that deep down in her heart she will not face any consequences for her action. I’m not sure if she’s like this to all of her customers or just the black ones but this woman completely rips me of my peace every time I step foot in her line coincidentally her line is always the shortest so I’m forced to when I am in a rush with too many items for self checkout. I don’t write many reviews but someone has to stand up to this lady. I can’t tolerate her disrespect anymore.

Nicely organized, parking was organized into up an down Lanes. Ample parking for everyone including handicapped. Assistance available to help you load your merchandise. Greeter at entrance offered assistance to help you locate the items you desired. The location was exact, within one feet of where I was directed to go. IMPRESSIVE! Store was clean, lots of shoppers out, restrooms were clean, free if litter, it soil on floors. Soap and hand towels available for customer use, fresh clean scent as you entered the ladies room. Great prices, shelves well stocked.

Since they remodeled yeah things are all over the place and the isles are smaller but checking out is a lot easier now they have a ton of self check out Registers now. When I do doordash I can go through self check out when I do instacart I can go through self check out. The 4 stars is because yes the employees dont really help you at times Are there really just start enough Associates working. And when you have to get certain items that are locked up it used to take a while but now when you push the button it alerts all of the employees. I would check the clearance sections before you do anything I usually find stuff for less than $4 clothing accessories and much more

I bought 3 dresses yes don’t judge me they were actually cute BUT THANKS TO THE LAZY CASHIER OR BAD MANAGEMENT AND no bags, the rain ruined my dresses I like the new smell when I wear new clothes!.! I try to limit my trips to Walmart even though it is convenient. Reasons why I dont find shopping here a pleasant experience anymore are the following: the recent remodeling has made it confusing to find where the simplest of items should be; the aisles are too narrow for two carts to pass by; many common items are in locked cabinets; finding someone to help is a wild goose chase; check out lines are at least a forty five minute wait for only two cashiers who are open; many times the self checkout lines are as long as the regular cashier lines, and some are not working.Shopping has become a horrible, frustrating, and exhausting chore at Walmart. Management doesnt seem to be able to accommodate the shopping public efficiently anymore.I know that my shopping visits will become less frequent.

They treat you like criminals here. OTC medications like cold pills or antacids are locked behind glass. And once you find someone to finally unlock them, they put your stuff in a locked box to trailer to checkout. And then you have to have your receipt scrutinized to get out of the store.

I found it disgusting to track a staff person down to get otc medication from a locked cage. Then once the medications have been removed from the locked cages, the employee had to secure them inside a lockbox before handing them over to me to take to the register.That was very daunting to me, as I didnt feel well at the time and was thought to be suffering from a severe cold or flu. That was just too much to go through as a customer. Then again, I am not a regular that frequents Walmart. It was simply the store of convenience at the moment that I will think second about revisiting if in the situation again.

The store was out of the main item we went for. Tried to find someone to check stockroom and first person just shrugged and walked away. Finally found a guy who looked and couldnt find any. Another employee said, I think its on a pallet. We waited a bit longer and then both employees came back with 3 of the items we were seeking. We took all 3, thanked them and went off to check out. Service depends on who you happen to find. Nothing worth writing about on this outing. Staff seemed in a good mood. Found another helpful employee who searched for and found the item in the back and then actually put some more on the shelf. Hooray for her! Still depends on who you ask to help you.

The Porter Ranch Walmart has great prices but treats some of it’s best customers like criminals.I went with my housekeeper to the Porter Ranch location and a security guard followed her around, keeping no more than 10 feet between them for twenty minutes. It was ridiculous, she didn’t have a purse or voluminous clothing where she could put pilfered items and he wouldn’t stop following her even when I yelled at him.She shops exclusively at the Walmart by her house. This location can get busy, especially on weekends, but there is always plenty of parking. The parking lot is pretty secure. I don’t ever notice anyone creeping around looking shady like I do other places. Most times it’s not crowded. It seems like they always have people stocking the shelves but I’ve noticed that the later it gets on Sunday, the less product is on the shelves. The store is kept clean and the associates have always been nice and helpful. No complaints about this location.

This place is really popular. Parking is big but you have to drive around a while to get a spot in front. Cas are all over the parking lot. They should have more people corralling the cars. There’s only one guy out there. As well no greeters. Was looking for something specific but couldn’t find it. I happened to be in the neighborhood so I stopped at this Walmart, so this is a first impression review.There were carts all over the parking lot. It was a mess.Then as I went to enter the store, there were 3 people outside pettioning for something and then 2 teens selling something. Both groups approached me at the same time. It was overwhelming! I waived both groups off not wanting to be bothered with either group, then headed into the store.The door to the store is not one of those wide automatic doors you would expect. It was a regular door, so there was traffic backups as people were trying to get in and out of the door. Place on top of that the table one of those groups had right in front of the door and you had a total mess.Once inside I was able to find almost everything I wanted. However, the drink section was lacking variety and stock.When it was time to check out there was only 1 cashier register open, all the rest were self-checkout lines. What a sad sad thing to see. This was about 4:30 in the afternoon.Although the thought of going there again and fending off petitioners and candy/cookie sellers, I must say Walmarts prices are so much better than the Vons thats right down the street from my house.

Management of this store is horrible! The store is always overcrowded. They are not limiting the numbers, enforcing masks or social distancing. Even though there are notices on the website, and signs on the front door and throughout the store. I thought that the people working there were very nice but the shelves are always sparce or empty. Extremely long lines and only three or four registers open. An enormous line waiting for self checkout as well. I was actually considering buying some alcohol, they told me that I could only go to register #7 or 8. When I was ready to check out register #7 was closed and the line for 8 went all the way to the back of the store! I didnt end up buying the alcohol for that reason. The Walmart in Stevenson Ranch is better, Im in between the two stores so Ive decided to start going out there instead.

This Walmart has gone DOWNHILL since it’s construction in 1999 (pre 9/11). I remember when patronizing this location was a treat. A visit here today can only be described as a visit to HELL. Everything was well on todays shopping trip to this Walmart except when checking out. At 9am the lines to check out where starting to build up and they only had two cashiers. One cashier for 20 items or less and one regular cashier .the lines for both were all the way out to the middle of the store and management nor the front end head cashier did anything to alleviate the problem. The self checkout kiosk were all open but no one was diverting traffic over there and no manager or front end supervisor jumped on any cashier to open and reduce the frustrated customers waiting in line. I get that hours might be cut and limited employees working morning shift but how hard is it to ask supervisors, or management themselves to hop on a lane at least till the morning crowd dies down. Instead you have crowded lines and no social distancing because of how packed it was. The people wanting to shop the womens clothing department couldnt do so because line cut right through them. At 8 am none of the disinfectant pumps were full, all completely empty and no one checking to replace those either. Supervisors and managers need to do a better job around the store. If this how it is with a early morning crowd I cant imagine how it is later in the day or when the holidays come around. Aside from that regular employees were all busy doing a good job.

The #1, go to big box store for me (my Pharmacy also).However, their reorganizing of most other sections, and their positions within the huge box is taking a very, very long time. I still dont know, even generally, where everything is. Also, the floor refinishing is still not complete.Get with it Walmart !!

Very bad costumer service. I kept calling for jewelry department and nobody came for about 40 minutes. The lady in the fitting room never did nothing to help me. And the cashiers either just ignored me. Very very very poor customer service

I have to say the nicest hispanic lady helped me in the cosmetics department. She was very nice even though the other customers were being very impatient and extremely rude.The reason I gave only 3 stars Is because the store is a little dingy... I think its the floors that give it a dingy look and feel idk and there didnt seem to be many people working for how many customers there were.Lets just say there was a LOT of waiting..Waiting for the Returns departmentWaiting for the employee to open the locked up productsWaiting for the electronics employee to help usWaiting and waiting at the check out stand. ..The store is huge and has a lot for everyones needs. Its very busy and has a crowded parking lot.

I shopped an hour til closing. Some people were rude, but Im not sure they knew lol. Checkout was fun and easy, I used self help. The man working in the self help department was very helpful. One of the women even helped me push a basket.

Warning do not go to this location at night. They limit the cashier lines and it gets really crowded.They also stock at night and their staff is really rude and unhelpful.This location used to be nice, organized and now its turned into my least desired place to go shopping.They are under staffed and honestly the current staff working needs to be trained on friendliness.

Its probably one of the better Walmarts...store is clean, friendly workers,... And I usually find what Im looking for... for a really good price,... I usually come here to get my work shirts (I work in a restaurant) ...black with black buttons (long sleeve)... caught it on sale last time I was here for $4 on the Clearance rack...this has been my experience and its rather consistent... ☺️

The Porter Ranch Walmart is usually a good place to go for food shopping, prescriptions and anything else you may need. On my trip today 9/15/21 I didn’t have a great experience. They are in the middle of a remodeling and merchandise is being moved all over making some items hard to find. The staff ( always friendly ) also haven’t learned where things are yet. I’m sure the store will look even better when they’re done For the second time in a month or so Walmart has run out of bags again. Make sure you bring your own!

Store is usually messy with items in strewn arpund. The store is so large with so many items that if management isnt strong, things just feel chaotic. Lines rarely are short or move quickly. Corporate needs to do more to support aka pay and train their employees so they have some bounce in their step. Target vs Walmart is always such a contrast. Not every target store is in great condition, but the energy and vibe from the workers is so different. The pay is the same but something about a blue store just makes it feel depressing and the employees just always look down and out. They are always nice but you just think that working there is not a happy place to be.

Horrible, no less than 3 self check out machines died on me before the last item was rung up. Had to wait for help, they dont care how long you wait, they stand around talking.Eventually I had to go to a regular register to check out.Absolutely unbelievable.Additionally, the are charging usury rates for paper towels and toilet paper. 28 dollars for 6 rolls of paper towels....Not paying that.

Lines at the register are too long on any given day and time. Not enough cashiers. Hire ppl!The returns/money center too long as well. EE need to process transactions faster.I like the store, but cant get out of there at reasonable time.

This Walmart is nothing amazing. Its somewhat newer so it is pretty nice and clean and the staff are mostly friendly, but customer service policies are pretty frustrating, they tend to be out of...everything (exaggeration, but when you dont go to get many things to begin with, thats how it feels sometimes), and store policies arent always great for the community. I hope they treat employees well at this location because they deserve it.

Horrible customer service. Ordered & paid for item online for in store pickup. An hour after placing order got a call saying they have to cancel my order with no reason as to why. When I ask how to get a refund she replies I need to call Walmart com then hangs up! I call them, they apologize but say my refund will take 10 business days! 3 hours go by and I get an email saying they can not issue me a refund and my order will be ready by 5pm & wait for a confirmation email/text when its ready. 5:30pm I get multiple emails and a text message saying my order is ready and to come to the counter to pick it up. I call so Im not wasting my time and 3 hours of phone calls with not one answer. Every 30min the phone would just hang up. Id get the occasional operator who could only transfer my call to that department. Finally its 8pm and their cust service department is closed. I head over there the next day at opening. Give them my info- email and text confirmation #s. They see my order on screen ready for pick-up but cant find it. 2 hours and 2 different supervisors later! One supervisor just says if I give you cash will you leave? Really!? I say fine Ill take my refund in cash. She says something to the other supervisor & walks away. He calls me over & apologizes for her. Gives me my cash. Again apologizes for the whole mess, thanks me for being calm & polite, I thank him and the other workers for doing the same & for trying to help. Problem is no one solved the issue of what happened to my order. Why it was canceled one minute then not canceled another. Why I got emails & texts telling me to come to the store when they didnt have my order ready.Not happy with the level of service here and I will not continue doing business here.

Gotta say; employees are super helpful but not the sharpest tools in the shed. I cant get over the wearing a mask when going to a cash register. At some point a long time ago I was not such a decent human being and I would actually loved to be allowed to wear a mask into a store or bank. Its gonna take a lot of getting used to.
