Wang Cho Korean BBQ in Riverside

Located in the Riverside Plaza on De Anza Ave, closer to Merrill Ave behind El Torito with plenty on parking. We went on Wednesday at about 6 PM and were lucky to find an open table because shortly after, there was a wait time.First time going to this location. We tried their lowest package, which is the Prince at $26.99/person. Not so worth it when you have 3 kids under 10 years of age who do not eat much meat, but they had a good experience.Sides are available upon request. I was surprised at the small amount of food portions theyd bring out as we ordered (like 1 sausage for our party of 6). The meats were okay. The sides did not seem or taste fresh.I dont know what to think about their overall service. Our server was not friendly or attentive at all, but the staff walking around to swap out the grill did an amazing job.The restaurant was clean and organized with nice decor and lighting. Theres a nice, good-sized bar by the entrance. Seems like they have the capacity for outside seating but were not set up for use during our visit.

Visiting the Riverside area, we decided to get some Korean BBQ and settled on Wang Cho. Overall, we had a very nice experience at Wang Cho.We went with the King menu.Lots of choices, although we mainly stuck with beef items. The spicy pork spareribs were great. The seasoning and spice level is not as aggressive. Some might say their food lacks flavor. To each his own.Service is attentive, and food comes quickly. Perhaps because it was a Monday. After placing an order, items would arrive in 2 to 3 minutes.I like how they place a tray on the side of the table so that raw items can stay off the table and dirty dishes can be placed on the tray and whisked away Grill cover changes are frequent, and the servers come by often to see if you want to order anything more.Overall Wang Cho is a good korean bbq restaurant, in my opinion. Its not as loud and industrial looking likeGen BBQ and unlike Gen BBQ, their food comes quicker.

Had dinner around 7pm on a weeknight for two and had no wait.Upon walking in there was a couple of huge, standing ac units on the floor, which were kind of an eyesore however they ensured that the restaurant was a comfortable temp especially being we are in the middle of summer and sitting next to hot grills.We ordered two of the “Emperor” All You Can Eat. Every bit of meat we received was super tasty!Staff was incredibly attentive and consistently came by to switch out the grills, take next round order, etc.Would recommend stopping in and I can’t wait to go in again

One of the worst korean bbqs Ive tried so far. It had a nice place but the food and vegetables were of very low quality and everything was horribly bad.

Wait times are long, but the service is pretty good. They forget sometimes what you asked for, Im assuming from the large number of tables theyre serving. The food is always good

Updated since October 18 2023Ive been coming here often and the food is excellent. The service here depends on what area youre eating at because Ive had some bad service. The restrooms are still very awful, the outside seating is unavailable the last time Ive been here.

Wait time during the weekend was about 20-30 min. It is fine and expected. The service was quick and fast too let you enjoy your food. The options for food are great too! I suggest just eating the meats to get your monies worth. If your gonna come here youve got to try all the pork belly options! HoneyBBQ is the best imo.

PLEASE READ!!! It was our last time going this last weekend! Don’t want to sound rude but I didn’t get her name our sever was a bit heavy Asian girl with a mask and two space buns WORST SERVER EVER! She was being passive aggressive and bringing us the oldest most dry dishes she could find! and we were being nothing but nice and we know the Quality of the food because it used to be our favorite place!! And to top it off I know we are not crazy because I saw her bringing the same dishes but way fresher to the table besides us and being more attentive maybe because they were her same race It sounds terrible but I know what I saw and once I pointed out our dry food she said it comes from the same one but I swear it was stale and cold and when she brought the same dish the next time it was better and warmer. Honestly people like her should not work as servers because they’re only losing money and loyal customers that usually tip very well for the restaurant so sorry we will have to find a better place and tell all our friends and family to avoid this place!!! Hope they get rid of her and her nasty attitude!

High quality meats and great service. Andrew and Julian took great care of us on Fathers Day. The Galbi, Garlic Chicken, and Bulgogi are delicious! Theres is plenty of seating space so the wait was short. Great spot for a celebration, date, and when you just want some good food. Oh and the Pink Blossom drink is a must.

The only reason I’m not doing an5 star is because sometimes they bring my table items that we didn’t order and when we say we didn’t to the waiter/waitress, they normally have an attitude. However, besides that they are fast and attentive.
