2023-06-06 17:52:14Reasonable prices and great all you can drink deal for 10$!Salmon Teriyaki and California rolls were really good, but Soups lacked flavor, and the atmosphere felt a little dirty. They’re open until late so it’s a good spot to go before jumping into the next club/bar

2023-09-13 21:26:08We usually do takeout/delivery. Good, fresh sushi at reasonable prices. Every now and then I get a piece of sushi that isn’t great, but it’s pretty rare.

2022-01-17 08:27:24TL;DR: Very, very mediocre sushi but the $10 all-you-can-drink is worth it.I came by Wasabi intrigued by their $10 AYCD special. Drinks and sushi? Count me in please! Unfortunately, not many dishes are as worth the price as the AYCD. The specialty sushi here runs about $14-$15 and theyre so small. I did appreciate some of the dishes like the carpaccio and the hamachi Kama but would not come here again for the rolls. Stick with the nigiri and other non-raw fish items.WHAT I ORDERED:1. Hamachi Kama ($12.95): this takes 25 minutes to come out but very well worth the wait! The hamachi is cooked perfectly and pairs well with the citrus-y sauce. Its also a large appetizer and would feed 2-3 ppl easily!2. X Roll ($14.50): its so small for a $14.50 roll :( This is a hamachi/avocado roll topped with tuna and salmon. My SO didnt like the quality of the raw fish saying it smelled kind of fishy. Otherwise, not worth the money3. Unagi Roll ($7.50): another disappointment. Theres barely any unagi in the roll and was mostly rice and avocado.4. Rainbow Carpaccio (8.95): a nice array of fish that was nicely sized. I liked the yuzu wasabi sauce thats drizzled on top. It adds a nice touch.

2018-04-11 23:41:09Sushi was fresh and flavourful. Server recommended some fresh deliveries of scallops and shrimp which were wonderful. Prices are reasonable and dishes arrived quickly. Certainly would go again but unfortunately live out of town.

2023-06-19 04:52:13I recently came to Wasabi Bistro for the first time for dinner and drinks with my husband and some friends. It never felt like it got too busy while we were there, so we didnt feel rushed and we were able to take our time catching up.We got the all you can drink deal for $10 - as many others mentioned, its a good deal and we just kept ordering hot sake. I found it strange though that they gave us water only after we asked, and didnt refill it - it seems like it would be better/healthier for customers to drink water along with the alcohol..?The food was tasty and affordable (esp for SF). We had a mix of starters (like the chicken karaage, seaweed salad, and shishito peppers) and sushi rolls. One thing to mention about the sushi rolls is that they werent packed with too much rice. (We opted out of dessert just because there was another place nearby that we wanted to go to.)The restaurant got quite loud at times, esp since there was a large table of customers nearby when we arrived, but after they left Id say the noise level was average. There are a ton of string lights around that look really pretty. Otherwise the decor is nice but average.Overall, I wouldnt say its my favourite sushi or Japanese food in the city, but it was tasty, as I said, and I enjoyed the ambiance. Id be happy to come back here again sometime :)

2023-08-06 20:01:50I want to like this place but meh. Ate at the bar cuz it was such a long wait for a table even though there were several tables empty for longish periods after we sat down. Food was just ok. Did not taste hyper fresh. The place was filled with packs of 25-30 year olds SCREAMING at the top of their lungs because they could and likely ordered the $10 all you can drink special. It would have been annoying had it not been so bizarre. It was like the entire room had drunk acid kool aid was was zonked out of their gourds...... Partner and I had diarrhea next day. I experienced dizziness. Almost certain it was from something we ate here. .... Unless you are under 30, want to get totally ripped at a good price, and dont really care what you eat, go for it. Otherwise, forget about it.

2023-08-07 23:17:41Why has basic customer service died at so many restaurants in the city?! I sat down and was given a menu, and I was the only customer there. My server was setting tables and I had to wave her over after so time, to take my order. I wanted water, and was pointed to where I could get it myself, so I kept getting up to get some. My portions were small and pricey, and my appetizer(miso soup) was served last. When my sashimi was served it was just put in front of me, and they walked away without telling me what each one was. I wanted lemon, and some spicy flakes with this, but noone ever came back or was around, or ever asked me how everything was. I was, and am still hungry, but I just wanted to leave. I had to get someones attention for my bill. They also changed a $1.35 convenience fee for a credit card- which Ive never seen at any restaurant, and my bill was $42. I always leave at least 20% when I eat out, but Im not going to here, I left about 15% which was still too much. I guess this place is doing so great, they dont have to care if anyone comes in, as countless restaurants around them are closing down. Best of luck to them, but I wont be back.

2021-02-18 05:34:47Happy hour starts when they open at 1130 AM and is All you can drink! Plus the sushi and service is bomb. Located in the heart of the Castro, you cant go wrong!

2023-06-24 01:47:30The waitress is always so damn kind, fun, and super friendly. I love their agedashi tofu and double hamachi roll. This continues to be a go-to favorite in the Castro. For years now and for years to come, this place has always consistently been a good experience.

2023-06-26 21:25:04Solid sushi spot! My friends enjoyed the $10 all you can drink, which is truly an incredible deal. They have gluten free soy sauce available if you ask for it
