Double Birthday Dinner @ Wasabi restaurant in Elk Grove. When I go to Hibachi grills I usually tend to order the same food, chicken & shrimp with fried rice and hose salad... Very Tasty. I love e the show and the skills that the chefs hate entertain us all at the Dinner table. I was able to capture some of the action at our table so disregard all the chatter, crazy elephant killing baby stories, and any other loud funny obscenities. It was a nice dinner with family. Good Food, Good Fun, Good Times..

We have been here twice now, and we have had a great experience both times. The first time here we werent prepared to sit at a large table with another family, but its part of the fun!The beef and chicken are so moist and tender.We got the spicy garlic edamame to start, and its really delicious.Theres nothing wrong with the service, but we did have to ask for things like water and extra napkins several times before we got it. But all the staffs attitudes are great, friendly and welcoming.This is not some place you stop by to grab something quickly. Its an experience and a mini show with your chef. It takes time.

I came here before the pandemic and it was excellent but not sure if they changed ownership or what but I didn’t have a good experience there. The rice they brung out looked like it was pre fried already. It was flavorless, even with the garlic butter. the rice was still cold even coming off the grill. It wasn’t cooked long enough. The yum yum sauce taste more like mayo. I wanted to love the place again but couldn’t, I just paid and left. We weren’t happy.

This was my first time at this place. I opted with their Hibachi. The server took our drink order and came back fast. Our cook came in about 10m or less. His name was Jacky. I’ve been to a few other Hibachi restaurants but Jacky’s blows them all away! He was friendly, entertaining, and made sure everything was good. I got the upgraded Garlic Bacon Fried Rice with Steak and Chicken. Everything tasted very good.

Wow i havent had hibachi in a while. I was able to walk in and get a spot right away. The service is so quick and friendly and the chef cooked everything perfectly. Sushi tasted really good also. I forgot to take pictures because i ate it so quick. Thank you much!

The chef was very entertaining and did some unique things I hadnt seen before. The food was flavorful, and the steak that my husband got was SUPER tender. I got the chicken which was pretty tough. The sushi was excellent though! The service was fantastic. We got in quickly, and drinks stayed full. (For some reason thats hard to do these days, it seems).Thank you for a great evening!

A friend had recommended this place to me for Dinner. We went there and luckily got a table with much wait. The chef does incredible stuff while cooking live at your table. The food is good. Definitely a place to make a lot of videos. And beware. Wasabi is hot. The way it should be. Only thing I felt was that they were in a little hurry to close the place for the night. They did not deny us any food for sure. While we were eating they were wrapping up, mopping floors, switching off lights. Which was okay. So I could have given 4.9 stars but the option is not there hence 4.

The service was ok, The Hibachi chef did a few tricks when cooking the food but otherwise the drinks had no flair to them, they were just poured into a glass with no cherries, no limes, nothing decorative about them at all !! The food was just OK, we had a party of six and spent over $400, I will never go back, They should hire a bartender that actually knows how to make a drink look enticing, and it was definitely too small of an establishment with not enough room to even slide your chair out to go to the bathroom without bumping into the next party table or the hibachi chefs cart, it was not very welcoming. As a matter of fact it was as if they were trying to hurry us up because they had already placed other plates on the grill before we even left, as if to say your time is up now, I will stick to Benihana’s the next time !!

On Valentine’s Day we ordered over $80 of food to go because they were so busy. The manager told me that he would call me when it was ready. He never called!!!! I tried calling over 20 times but they shut the phone off. I went back after an hour and the food was cold and very unappetizing. When I called to rectify he told me I could get 15% off next order. No thank you. Boycott. Try Habachi if you want great service and food

Great food as usual, every time we have been here the service is great along with the food. We had enough for a second meal at home the next day and we only ordered the regular size not the sumo size dinner they offer. The chefs are always very good friendly and entertaining. A fun hibachi experience and excellent food. The chefs put on a great show, especially for the kids. We typically get two item dinner combo plates, my preference being the chicken and steak. It is definitely worth upgrading to the garlic fried rice, its incredible! If youre new to hibachi style restaurants, they cook the food on a large grill in front of you and other guests and do tricks while cooking. Check it out if youve never been to one.

This is a reservations needed restaurant, but we were lucky and there was a little room at the bar. It is a small and crowded restaurant. The cooks entertain at the table with wonderful knife tricks as they make your dinner, as we didnt have reservations we ordered at the bar, but did turn around to watch the cooks at the table. We had the Spicy California Roll, the Golden Gate Roll, and another roll I dont remember the name of. They were fantastic. I do recommend their sushi.

Very nice place. Similar experience to Beni Hana but less crowded and closer to home. Vegetables have brockly which is nice and their ginger sauce is great. Staff is friendly and the cook did an exceptional job of entertaining the table and cooking a taste meal. I highly recommend this place. You wont be disappointed.

Weve been going to Wasabi ever since they open since we live just a short distance from them. The food has always been very good and its fun to be entertained while it is prepared. However, our last trip this August we were rather shocked at the increase in the prices across the board. With a family of 4, no sushi or special items our bill was $240.00 not including tip. My wife and I had 1 cocktail each which were $12.00 each. Our total bill with tip was $276.00 which averaged out is $69.00 per person. Meal was good but not for that price. Cant afford to go back!

What a great experience! Went with my family and in laws for a birthday dinner. First impressions as I went in was how clean the restaurant is. Even the overhead cooking hoods were spotless, not a drop of grease present anywhere. The whole place was spotless. The menu is simple and straightforward with plenty of variety. We ordered some apps while we waited for the show.Mack came to the grill and started his show with fire. He did a great job with a lot of skill and humor. His cooking was well executed and the food tasted great. Even my very picky son liked the chicken teriyaki, a dish he had to date refused to try. Very disappointing I scheduled a reservation 24 hours ahead for me & my family . My first time experience here at the wasabi when we came in we were seated next to another family . That was already eating . We decided to leave because the atmosphere was just not it . & the waiter’s were just trying to over talk you & don’t listen. When you ask to be seated at a different table they say they have to go by the manger who is not so accommodating as well . Bottom line if someone calls your restaurant to make reservations you should let them no that you be seated with another party . Not just say ok just to collect someone’s money. Poor customer service after being a regular customer at least once a week ever since they opened. For the last 6 months most of our orders were always incorrect, and they were upset every time we mentioned it. New sushi chefs were not on par. We finally stopped going after complaining about the wrong order only to be given another wrong order on the very next visit while being hassled and intimidated. Very poor on the personal level.

Tonight my husband and I ordered dinner to celebrate our 19th Anniversary ( couldnt go anywhere with the smoky air). He had the Chicken and Shrimp entree and I had the Teriyaki Chicken entree. Definitely fun Tepan for the whole family. Chef Frank made our evening. He kept us laughing and mesmerized by his culinary talents. I highly recommend the garlic fried rice w/bacon. All the dishes were delicious and filling. Be prepared to take home leftovers. I ordered a combo Steak & Calamari. Theyll give you some dipping sauces which are good, but not needed as the seasoning and grilling are flavorful enough.

On Saturday, I went for dinner at Wasbi with my hubby and two kids. I thought it was a sushi restaurant but to my surprise, they had Hibachi table. The grills are set up to fit at least 8-10 people at the table. its a fun place to come in groups to celebrate birthdays or get together.I ordered the Lobster and shrimp and my husband got the beef, chicken and scallops. We paid extra for the garlic fried rice which was awesome.It was hot inside the restaurant. Our server was attentive and the chef was awesome. My kids eyes lite up when the chef made the volcano with the onions. It was an awesome experience.

Horrible! We were regular customers! A month ago we ordered a large take out order, after we took it home there was a human nail in one of our plates! I immediately drove back there and showed the owner, then she offered a refund on that one plate! Should havr learned then but we didnt amd gave them another chance and went in today for my daughteres 10th birthday, and our waiter was nice until he brought in the wrong appetizer. I then asked him to bring us the correct one, his response to us was absurd, he couldnt since my kids ate 1 of the shrimps! Our order is always well over 150$, there are 6 of us.. Being frustrated with his response and hostile demeanor I asked to speak to the manager. The manager was decent and understanding trying to make things better, but the waiter refused to calm down, arguing and yelling! When I asked the manager for my bill because we were leaving our waiters reaponse was bye! Took my family and paid for whatever they brought out, gave them a big tip and left! Theyre customer service is great as long as nothing goes wrong! Its miles below par! Rude and dont care for their customers!! We will never go there again, nor recommend this to anyone. Many better sushi places in town!

Always enjoy this Sushi spot. Its a regular for me. The restaurant team is friendly and efficient. The sushi is really tasteful and always comes through fresh. The teppanyaki is good but the sushi is where this place really shines. A small sushi bar with the rest of the seating at the cooking stations so you can find yourself waiting for some time to be seated. Arrive before the main surge for dinner and you should be Ok. The sushi is excellent so worth the gamble!

I arranged for a small surprise party dinner for my husband and we all enjoyed our meals. Our chef was highly entertaining and the service was good. I did feel they could serve a bit more of the proteins, as we had mounds of rice and vegetables, but a bit skimpy on the meat courses. I think adding a small shrimp first course to all meals (something Ive always been served at similar restaurants) might solve the protein problem I mentioned. The majority of our diners had grilled food but those that had sushi and sashimi seemed pleased with theirs. I was told that a table seats ten, but our nine were actually too many for the table. My only other suggestion would be that they clean the tables better; we were the first diners at our table and it was very sticky. Will definitely try Wasabi again.

A fun place to have dinner. The meats/seafood (depending on what you chose) is prepared right in front of you with a show-like experience. I recommend the garlic fried rice option because it is very tasty. They give you sauces to dip your meats/seafood in. The food here goes well with Sapporo or Asahi. Highly recommended.

I try to visit Wasabi Twice a Month.They have the Very Best Deep Fried Sushi Rolls. Nice in size, Made with More Filling as opposed to having a Small portion of Filling surrounded by Very Thick Breadding. Also, The Teriyaki Sauce is Definitely on my All - TimeTop 3 List!! Last but not Least, The Garlic/ Bacon/ Garlic Fried Rice is to Die For.
