The food was absolutely delicious! We got here right at opening and already there was a line! For good reason! I gave it a 4 only because the potatoes were cold. Everything else was awesome! Definitely recommend the shakes! Drinks were great and service was too notch! Loved sitting outside and watching the helicopter/airplane take off.

Get here early. When we left around 9am, they had a line out the door.The best airport cafe weve visited. While we didnt fly in today, we will put it on our bucket list for a fly in.Cute mini airport for kids.Exceptionally fast, friendly, service. Reasonable prices. Very clean. Lots of food options.We will be back.

Food was good with nice views. You can watch airplanes while having your meal. I had some country fried steak and I really liked it. The servings were generous too. However, the wait time is long so just be ready to line up and wait just in case.

Ok first of all it’s the cutest little cafe! I love the vibe! My nephew loves watching the planes come & go! Service was above amazing! From entering to exiting, the staff was amazing thank you Andrew, Marcellino, all the girls & just all the staff thank you so much! Food was above my expectations! Must try the Guava mimosas.. delicious!! Overall 10 out of 10!

I had the pleasure of trying Waypoint Cafe today. The bacon egg& cheese sandwich was sooooo delicious, its to die for. The line was long and we were visiting from out of town so we did an online order. The food came out pretty fast (15m.) We watched the planes as we waited. Hunters service was excellent, going above and beyond by even offering me a drink during my pick-up order. His kindness and service made this experience extremely memorable. Overall, I definitely recommend 1000%

My partner and I come here for our anniversary most years, this year was no different. Christian (I believe) helped take our order and did the display boards that day, which were as stunning as his service. Denise was our waitress, she was delightful, good conversationalist and a pleasure to dine with. We will see you soon!

This restaurant is right next to the Camarillo Airport. Had brunch here and ordered their Daves chicken and biscuits, Homemade hash & eggs, and Pancakes. Food was really good and their portions are very generous. Staff were helpful too.

You order and pay as you come in. The waiters and waitresses are very accommodating (they split a chocolate milkshake for us. It was amazing and are always asking if we needed anything) We got our food (the Breakfast Burger and the Blue Cheese Burger) before our drinks which was different. The food was very good and watching the planes on the patio was fun!.

Such a great restaurant! Beware long wait times but totally worth the wait. The French toast was divine. Everyone in our party was completely satisfied with their meal. The serving sizes were also very generous and we had more than enough food! The environment is also very cool, if eating outdoors you are literally right next to an airstrip. Would highly recommend!

This is a lovely place to come for breakfast or lunch where you can watch planes soar while you eat! The location is definitely the main attraction here, but the food and service is good too. There is plenty of seating inside and outside, but I think if you sit inside, youre really missing out on the action. Id recommend arriving early as it gets busy fast, especially on the weekends. Theres a reason its busy though, and Id highly recommend coming here.

Had breakfast and lunch for a couple of days while at the airport for work. The order as you enter seems like a really good idea as tables turn over much faster which meant my lunch wait times were short. The menu selection is creative and interesting with enough variety to please everyone. The food came out in a timely manner given how busy they were. The quality of the food was spectacular. This has to be the best airport cafe in the U.S. the food was fresh, the seasoning was excellent and the portions were large. The location is really nice with a shaded patio looking onto the transient airplane parking The staff were efficient and checked in on us several times. Dishes I tried and loved: milkshakes! Corn beef hash is homemade biscuits and gravy is great and the buffalo chicken sandwich was huge and addicting this restaurant is highly recommend

Waited about 20 minutes in line to order our food and get seated. All the staff is very coutreous and goes out of their way. Everything pictured was great except for the french dip, the meat lacked flavor. Everything else was excepcional! Definently get seated outside to get the whole experience, the helicopters and planes constantly take off and land.

What a meal we had, this is the kind of place that deserves more than 5 stars because it’s just above and beyond.We flew into Camarillo airport and went to the cafe straight from the ramp. This is not your typical mediocre airport restaurant, this place is bomb and the locals know it because it’s always packed.We loved watching the ramp fill up with planes as more and more flew in just for the cafe.Service was great, all staff was super friendly and attentive. Option to sit inside or outside, we chose to dine outdoors.What we ordered:Veggie burger with fruit: veggie burger was an actual veggie burger, no fake meat, topped with some amazing honey mustard dressing and avocado. Very impressed by Waypoint Cafe! Walking up I was worried about the line out the door, but they take your order while you wait in line and you get seated very fast. The food came out quick too and it was so fresh and delicious, I got the BBQ chicken salad which was huge. We split the Oreo milkshake, perfect portioned that way and wow the chocolate rim was tasty and presented so nice. Finally, all of the staff was so friendly and attentive. And of course the excitement of the airport is great ambiance. Can’t wait to fly in again soon!

Came here with a recommendation from a friend; what a great recommendation! We arrived @8:30 on a Saturday morning and it was starting to get busy. There was no waiting time to be seated inside and we were given a table with a wonderful view. We could see the planes arriving and departing. Started off with a great cup of coffee. We ordered the chorizo and eggs, French toast and bananas combo, strawberry French toast special and the giant cinnamon roll. Everything was delicious and very filling. Our waitress Julie was amazing. Can’t wait to come back and check out more items from the menu!

The place has amazing service and great breakfast. The pancakes and bacon are outstanding! The mimosas come garnished with fresh fruit, but they are pricey and I could barely taste the champagne. I had 3 during brunch and didn’t even catch a buzz, that’s how I know they were weak. If you enjoy a good mimosa deal, this isn’t the place for you.

Finally tried Waypoint for breakfast and what a delightful experience. It was busy when we first arrived just after 8, with a long line to get in. This is deceiving though, as once you get in you now order at the front, get seated, then they bring your food out. The whole experience was quick, efficient, friendly, and delicious! All the food was great, with the cinnamon roll french toast being especially decadent. Great breakfast cafe and we cant wait to go back!

So fun!!! Brought my boys here for a quick bite while watching airplanes land and park. Literally 4 yards away. Every boys dream! First time eating here. The restaurant atmosphere is great with lots of open windows to you can watch the planes go by as you eat. They even have an nice open outdoor area as well. The staff was very friendly and easy to talk to. The food was delicious, eggs are fresh, fluffy and delicious. bacon was crispy and the biscuits and gravy were to die for. The coffee was strong and favorable. This place is a must try and highly recommended.

We went on a thurs at noon. The line was very quick to be seated. We had multiple people check on us to make sure we were enjoying the food. Had someone refill my drinks without even having to ask. It was just at incredible experience. The food was perfect! My mom and I just had an A++ experience. I was told to come at 2 during the week to have no wait, but they said Friday and sat expect to have at least an hr wait.

My Airbnb host recommended the Waypoint for breakfast, and Im so glad they did.There was about a 10 minute wait when I arrived at just after 10. Their ordering system was both unique & efficient.I was blown away by the friendliness of the staff, and the shear quantity of servers helping everyone. I think at least 6 people checked in on me asking if everything was OK or if I needed something.My breakfast was awesome and a little overwhelming in terms of quantity. I had the Carnitas Omelette. Delicious!!!Highly recommend these guys for a visit, especially if you are here in town for a few nights.

This place really is as fantastic as all the reviews have said! It really lives up to the hype! The food is absolutely amazing, with excellent portion sizes, and the views are awesome as well. If you want to really see the planes I would recommend sitting outside. The staff is incredibly kind and caring too, we brought our kids and the lady at the front took the time to learn both of their names and to make them smile; our server asked us immediately what we wanted for the girls so we wouldnt have to entertain them as long and they could start eating their food quicker (because our girls take forEVER to eat 😂, I dont think were alone in this), it was just exceptional service all the way around. 5 stars for sure! Highly, highly recommend if youre in the area, even with kids!

The food is good the best dish I tried was the banana pancakes. Had the carnitas omelette it needed a bit more flavor, keep asking for more salsa. The prices are higher. The location is definitely unique, right next to the planes.The service was fast but you have to know what to order at the door. There was a 20 minute wait, line outside the door. Once you get to the door you place your order there then you are seated. For busy weekends maybe the should have two people taking orders. Great food but their process for seating people is dumb. We waited in line for 40 minutes to enter a restaurant with 20 open tables. Instead of putting you on list based on the number of people in your party. They make everyone wait in line regardless of the size of their party. It’s a bad systems for customers and Waypoints own business maximizing of their facilities.That being said, once you finally get a table, the service and food are great.

Unique location with great views of Camarillo Airport. This place also offers great food and service. if you go make sure you give some extra time for wait. We went for breakfast and had to wait about 15 - 20 minutes. The front desk was very courteous and took time to explain our queries. I tried the Belgian waffles - they were nothing like I ever tasted. Done with perfection hot and crisp. Sitting outside would afford you good views of the Airport with planes standing around. Take a jacket as it can be windy.

I am making a video doing food reviews of restaurants. The tri tip was tasty, but a little dry, so for my meal Id say 4 and a half stars. The au jus roast beef was 5 stars that the other person ordered, so its a 5 star review. I was impressed that the prices have dropped since 2021, and am happy to take the line for that price drop.I recommend coming here!

Because there was a line to get seated on a Friday morning and the prices were (to us) a little steep for breakfast, we almost left and went to one of our regular breakfast places. Im so glad we stayed!! Theres a line for a reason. Run like clockwork, ordering when you check in: 1) Makes the wait go by very fast and 2) once seated, the food comes to you so quickly, piping hot. Dont get me wrong, theres nothing automated about the warm, kind service you receive, from the order desk to your wait staff. And the food... Hands down the tastiest pancakes Ive ever had! Everything is beautifully presented and so fresh. Was it worth the wait and the extra few dollars? Absolutely!

New way of sitting since COVID, you stand in a long line outside in order to get seated. Once you get to the front of the line you order at the front counter and then walk to your table. Food came out really fast and servers were very attentive to our needs during our meal.The only down part was the price; for two meals and two mimosas we paid $60 😵

First time going on a busy Sunday lunch time, waited 45min to sit outside on a somewhat cold day. The wait staff was superb as they served my family of 6 (4 kids + Mom&Dad).The food was very good quality with great portions. Overall it was worth the wait and the kids were happy with the food they got, and so was Mom & Dad.I Highly recommend to anyone. They have a good variety of dishes. Family friendly. I wish I did not have to give it 4 stars, but I just couldnt give it 5.So let me start by saying everything about this place lives up to the hype. Its an absolutely beautiful restaurant and well worth the 30 minutes it took for us to get a table on a sunday morning. We waited by watching the tri tip getting bbq out back. Ill add the video I took of the bbq process. It was exquisite.The bathroom was clean and well stocked which is always a plus.Our waitress was just great, she was attentive, pleasant, knowledgeable, and was just very very good at her job.I ordered the Eggs Benedict. The flavors were so good. My pineapple and orange mimosa was delicious, the oBrien potatoes were flavored perfectly, the ham was cooked to perfection, it was so good. The hollandaise was creamy and flavorful.So now to what prevented a 5 star review. I ordered the eggs Benedict and my eggs were almost cooked all the way, like they were almost hardboiled, there was no runny egg at all. Because they were so over cooked they left a powdery feel in my mouth. They were good, just not what I wanted. I didnt send it back or complain, in reality it was still very good, I just wish I had gotten an authentic eggs benedict experience.

This place is one of the best places to go in Ventura County, maybe even beyond that (and Ive been to places across the country and in other countries). The customer service is immaculate, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere has a retro-airport feel. I strongly recommend this beautiful Cafe, and you get to enjoy a beautiful view of the Camarillo Airport and the Topa Topa Mountains. Their milkshakes are to die for as well.To sum it up briefly, I will be coming back here to spend more money :)

Loved the new way they are doing things. You would first get in line and order; then you would find any open table to sit. They would then bring the order to you. Great food, service, and views. We stopped here on a Saturday morning for brunch and waited for a patio seat. I ordered the carnitas omelette, which was stuffed with meat and cheese, topped with guacamole, sour cream, and salsa. A large amount of delicious Obrien potatoes on the side with plenty of toast. So much flavor! My husband had the breakfast burger, which was plenty of food and french fries. I enjoyed the bit I had.Our server, Dana, was attentive and made sure we had a pleasant experience.Its fun to watch the planes come and go as you eat and is really a neat place to bring visitors and first-timers. Kids love the mini-runway and grassy area to run around.

My family & I (6) were there for lunch today. Only had to wait 20 min, which was great, as its usually 45 min to an hr wait. Our Server Kim was Excellent! Love this place, but it is such a HASSLE to try and dine here. IF you can get in (usually a super long line out the door) you enter the restaurant and are jammed into the entry way with tons of people entering and exiting, grab a menu and try to decide what you want as fast as possible. It is an AWFUL way to start your dining experience. That being said once you get through all that crowded entryway and are stressed out because you’re not really sure what you ordered was what you really wanted. You do get to sit down and enjoy the views of the airport, which is really fun the food is actually really amazing. The barbecue chicken salad is giant and has so much flavor. It’s my go to and always my favorite. Although I would like to try something else at some point, but I don’t want to stand in the crowded entryway and try to figure out what else looks good. The staff that beings your food and checks on you throughout are super nice and take care of you so that does kind of make up a tiny bit for the dramatic entrance. Only try to come here when it’s an off time like an hour before they close during the week don’t try to come here on the weekend you will never get in.

The staff are friendly and helpful; the grounds are well manicured and very clean; the food is FANTASTIC; and the portions are extremely generous (you could easily skip your next daily meal, lol). And a great view of the airport. During CoVid times, the wait time could be long due to reduced seating, but well worth it (heck, the wait times can be long during non-CoVid).

So Ive been there for breakfast twice - each time has been worth the wait but Im not sure its entirely worth the price.My partner had the Chorizo and eggs, I had the carnitas omelet and son had the pancakes... so while all of these are really delicious, its hard to justify nearly $80 for 3 people and we didnt get a speciality drink or anything. The one plate (the carnitas, certainly does stand out), the chorizo isnt what Im used to, not much spice or flavor profile - just a bit salty. The pancakes were just that and it only comes with either 1 sausage link or 1 piece of bacon. I still give it 5 stars - the food is still good, the atmosphere is nice. There were some beautiful planes coming and going, my son really enjoyed the part.

This time I ordered the chorizo con huevo and it had the perfect amount of kick to it. My wife got the special of the day which was a spicy tri tip omlet with a short stack of pancakes. We eat out a lot and these are still her favorite pancakes even over the griddle pancakes on Sunset blvd. The are think and have a very sweet taste to them. I really enjoy them also. Atmosphere is lovely. You have a choice to dine inside or outside. There are warmers on the outside area that help keep the temperature appropriate if you decide to dine outside. I’ve only ever had breakfast here and so much of their lunch. My go to is their French toast combo with a side of hash. If you love French toast, you’ll love theirs. I have been taking our 13 year old grandson to the Waypoint Cafe for several years. We have watched it grow from a sleepy cafe frequented primarily by visiting and local pilots and their guests and local Service personnel, to a thriving popular eatery destination. I liked it better back then because we could walk out on the tarmac and see the private planes up close, however, those days are gone and only the visiting/club pilots have access. Regardless, the food is terrific, the portions are very large, the way they take your order while you are in line makes seating much better than waiting for a server to take the order. All of the servers seem to pitch in and help deliver the food and service the customers. Stacy, who was once a server herself (when I first started going there) is now the outstanding Manager for many years, has groomed her staff so that the restaurant is a finely tuned operation. At the busiest of times, waiting for a table and the delivery of your order seems to move quickly. Even though you cannot gain access to the tarmac or the Ventura County Sheriffs helicopter hangers like we used to do, it is still a fun place to visit for locals and visitors alike to have breakfast and/or lunch.

Our waitress was friendly and smiling from ear to ear. After months of eating in or having food delivered, our first experience eating out was perfect. I think we discovered a great place to visit and eat out regularly. By the way, the restaurant was very clean.

The view was our entertainment- watching planes and helicopters land or take off. The service was exceptional and friendly. The food was delicious, too! Only drawback was the wait, which should be expected since this restaurant gets high marks in all other areas.Husband couldn’t finish the barbecue burger, even though it was delicious. Filled him up. The fries were average. My half tuna salad sandwich with salad was also delicious and filling. Nephew had the tuna salad on a bed of lettuce and ate every bite. Niece had the barbecue chicken salad, also good and filling.If you don’t mind waiting for a great lunch and enjoy watching the tarmac activity inside or out (and outside was probably 5 out of 5 stars), this is the place for you!

The salads in particular were amazing! Great service too. I love that you order at the hostess stand and then they seat you and bring the food to the table. It really expedites the process and then you can leave when you are done eating. The line goes faster than I thought it would too.

First time coming in here to eat. Ill start with the safety guidelines they are followed very well. Customers wearing masks same with the employees. Now food 😋 all I can say the service was amazing very fast to get your food even though it was busy. The taste is very unique its fresh and if you havent tried their milkshakes idk you missing out. They are very delicious and very thick not water down like others places. Our waiter was very helpful. For the whole total experience the service and food were amazing and met my standard of what a good restaurant is and should be. Nahhhhhhhhhhh... The whole point is to sit and watch airplanes. So waiting in line for 30 minutes out front where you cant see any airplanes is ridiculous. That would be fine if it was a window type ordering situation where the food is less expensive. But if you want $16 for a tuna melt I expect to have the whole experience. Never even got inside because I brought an excited 2 year old there to watch planes. 30 minutes for a toddler might was well be a lifetime. Next time Im just packing my own lunch and sitting on the side where there is a viewing area. Ill keep my $16 and 30 minutes of my life.

Enjoy the best Belgium French toast ever, although everything on the menu is great (shakes are mandatory!), while people pull up to the large patio in their jets, helicopters, and planes.Although I dont eat meat, others rave about their tri-tip, which they BBQ outdoors, all day long. Now open for dinner, a surprise to us but none the less pleased, we had a lovely dinner on a perfect evening. Uncrowded but full, no waiting as we pulled in and got the best table: NE corner outside patio with a heater. The blue burger salad ( hamburger with blue cheese, bacon over a salad) and a pastrami sandwich (and a Modelo). Dusk is the best time. Fair prices, good food & service. If youve not been before, one must visit at least one.

I have been going to the waypoint for years. I have not been there in quite a while and was there just a couple of days ago and was amazed at the difference. The difference. It is just beautiful. The service was excellent. I had a lovely cup salad for lunch beautifully served if we served. My companion had a French dip sandwich that she was very happy with and my other companion had a tritep sandwich and he was also very happy with. The way point is as good as it has always been and is much prettier. The waypoint is as good as ever

The staff is kind and friendly you have to get there early or else theres a long line but it does go by fast. While youre waiting in line management goes around with complimentary coffee. You do have to order & pay once you check in with the host. However, the staff in the service is pretty fast so your food arrives at your table within like 5 to 10 minutes after being seated. I always ask to sit in the patio so I can see the airplanes take off or land. But theres indoor dining. This restaurant is pet friendly. The menu has a lot of options. What I ordered today was the grilled veggie burrito with Chile poblano and extra avocado. It has to be one of the best breakfast burritos I have ever had. I will definitely get it again. I also got the short stack of fluffy pancakes as my dessert. Other favorite menu items that I have ordered in the past are avocado toast, oatmeal, waffle combo, OBrien potatoes, country fried steak, and enchilada omelette. This location is family-friendly the prices are moderate and definitely kid friendly. The staff maintains the sitting areas well cleaned and sanitized. If you are in the area this is one of my recommended places to eat. Ive been coming here since I was a sophomore in high school and let me just say that was many years ago. Come see for yourself and try the wonderful food, you will not be disappointed

It was our first time visiting this cafe. The wait was not so bad we waited about half hour or so. Once we got to the door we were created by the very friendly staff which is always a plus. We had our order taken as we entered and we were free to sit where we please to. Our servers Lilianne and Marcello went above and beyond what good customer service is. They were both very attentive and friendly. The food well presented and fast!! For as busy as they were I was expecting to wait another half hour to get our food but it was actually under 15 minutes before our food arrived. .. and it was delicious 😋. We will definitely be going back. The only down side was the not being able to walk around and look at the planes. Which we love to do at the Santa paula Airport after me eat. But other than that I highly recommend this cafe

Food came quickly. I ordered an omelet with toast and fruit. Omelet was small but good. The fruit serving was large, but toast was half a piece of bread. The waiter stopped by right after the food was delivered and when I asked for a box to go. Thats when he asked me if I wanted more coffee. I will not be back. The service sucks!!

The Waypoint just keeps getting better and better and better. Left Camarillo Cali for a few years, traveled the world during a supposed pandemic Lol and now back in Camarillo. Hit up the Waypoint and was blown away by the new level of service and the food is the same great quality as always.Highly recommended, Oh, get there early as the place gets packed and you will have to wait, its worth it !!

Literally come here almost every month, today was so bad i don’t know if it’s because Black Friday or people are hung over from thanksgiving but everyone was really nice except one person named Sam. She was the worst server we have ever had. Food was great (she didn’t bring it out to us) I’m guessing she was our server cause we were outside and she was the only one visible. She came to put table twice in the hour and a half and we asked her for water TWICE first time around she brought us one sparking water second time around we asked her she didn’t bring us anything instead she had to take our order for take out that we had go get her. We asked her for water and water never came but she was able to get 12 waters for the people next to us and she completely ignored us. Our take out order took 30 plus minutes and we only got it cause we were able to get the attention of a bust boy and he was able to bring us our food right away.

First time here for breakfast. I had the pancake combination. Two pancakes, egg whites, and two pieces of bacon. Delicious food. Cool overcast morning. We arrived at 8:00 a.m. and we left a little bit after 10:00 a.m. . The sun was starting to peek in and burn off the cloud layer as we were leaving. Ordered omelets and mimosas. Mimosas were good. Food looked good but I did not get to enjoy mine because as i went to lift the potatoes with my fork there was a long brown hair attached. GROSS!! By the time a replacement dish was brought, my guest was 3/4 done with her meal and I had lost my appetite. Unfortunately, I had already paid for this whole experience when i walked in the door. 8 should have been refunded for the hairy entree. Great place, send someone ahead if going in a group. The wait time can be 20 to 50 minutes depending on day & time. The staff try very hard to move tables quickly. The food is always great. Their Milkshakes are the best. If you dont see a flavor you like just ask they can most likely make it. My friend had a Chocolate Peanut Butter shake, I had the coffee. So good. The staff are great, good views, good service great food.
