My first time visiting Western Bagel. I had the jalapeno bagel toasted with cream cheese. They have different varieties like chocolate chip, strawberry,plain, egg, onion, and everything bagels. They also have indoor and outdoor seating.

We have been coming to western bagel for years. We even moved out of the neighborhood and still come to this location! We have the rewards card and I receive emails with discounts monthly. The bagels are always fresh and the place is very clean. The muffins are delicious as well. Prepare for a line depending on what time in the a.m. you arrive.

Great variety of bagels and cream cheeses available. Ala Carte custom Sandwiches available. Vegetarian sandwiches available. Kosher hot dog is delicious. Beverages sold include select coffee types and soda fountain drinks drink. Open until 3pm per the sign. Signature stuff is the home roasted turkey carved on demand!

Great place to buy your fresh bagels. Ive been to multiple locations but this one is closer to me.They have new hours posted 6am to 3pm. The one on Sepulveda is open 24 hrs as its their.

Ordered 2 Bakers Dozen today (should be 26 total bagels) and ended up taking home only 23. Not sure how it happened as the staff member and I counted out as I was ordering but I guess as she was actually gathering the various bagels for the bag she ended up 3 short. Bagels are about $1.50 each so coming up 3 short on an order is pretty annoying.Also, dont bother trying to order online. Weve tried twice and theyve lost the order both times.

I love Western Bagels bagels and cream cheese. Its always been the best and I havent had a bad experience at any of them. Each location is a bit different and this one is my favorite for ordering The Traditional (8.70) because it comes open faced with lox on both sides. My husband loves the breakfast panini (8.50). It is pricey so be forewarned

Edited: My first review just said they had good bagels but the staff was super slow. Well today I went in early and the cashier was talking to a co-worker with her thumb in her mouth, like a nervous habit or something, bitting her nail. She them went right back to serving people without washing her hands. Im not sure if they even check their staff for ServSafe certification but I doubt it based on today. I wont be visiting any Wetern Bagels ever again. You are probably safer going to the Vons next door for your food.

Been a while since Ive gone. I would always to to the Van Nuys location. Came into today. And didnt like the manager on duty. Didnt catch her name but she was short and wearing glasses.Unprofessional to her staff and demanding things from them. She made one employee put Splenda and utensils and I over heard her and when he finished she said thats wasnt what she asked for. Definitely not coming to anytime son if management cant treat there staff Correct.

Was out Christmas shopping last week. While driving up Sepulveda Bl. I spotted the Western Bagel store. Stopped in and needless to say, it did not disappoint. Picked up a dozen assorted bagels, of course a couple pizza bagels too. Got a huge cinnamon role too! If you find yourself in the area, I’d urge you to stop by.

Ive driven past this place for years but finally stopped in on a Saturday morning. The line was long and sort of confusing at first b/c there seems to be two registers but the team that was working was fairly efficient. Some better signage or line management would earn them 5 stars. Fresh bagels and good coffee! I will return.

Prices and portions change every time I come in here. Really trying to charge me over 9 dollars for 2 lil pieces of ham, some 1 egg, lettuce, tomato and onion. It doesn’t even have sauce. The taste is mediocre especially for the price. Yum yum donuts sandwiches are way fatter and taste way better. No need to return again.

I LOVE WESTERN BAGEL! Their pizza bagel has to be one of my favorite things to eat. Sometimes if it’s not on display, they’ll have them in the back. They’re usually is a lot of people but the line moves quicker than you would expect. I’ve tried a lot of their bagels and they’re all delicious! So soft. I would recommend the Everything Jalapeño bagel. Don’t forget to get a container if their cream cheese !

Its unfortunate that I have the need to write this negative review because Ive frequented this place for over 10 years, but management needs to be made aware of the horrible customer service skills of their staff and invest in training. I ordered 2 Traditionals, which I believe is their most expensive sandwich because it comes with lox. I ordered 1 with everything and 1 with no tomato and capers. After arriving back home and opening the bag, I noticed one sandwich didnt have lox. I drove back to this place to have the sandwich corrected. After informing the employee who had served me, he insisted that I said no tomato and lox. I told him hes wrong...theres no point to a lox sandwich without the lox. Anyways, he said that he would add the lox and ended up making me a new Traditional sandwich. I get the sandwich and then told that I have to pay for the lox because I wasnt charged for it. I told him I wasnt paying because I ordered 2 Traditionals and drove home and back to the place to get it corrected. He said he didnt make the mistake and needed to charge me. I noticed that customers around me were surprised by his response and shaking their heads in disgust. I told the employee that their service was horrible for making me waste time and money and that I wasnt paying and wanted my money refunded. So, in the end, the employee preferred to waste 2 sandwiches and upset a customer (and those watching) than add lox without charging. Even if I was wrong and made an error, which I know I didnt, correcting the order without charging me would have saved them from wasting food and resulted in a happy customer whod want to continue frequenting the place. I hope this message gets to their manager Rob so changes are made.

Honestly F this location. Put in an order the day before for a work function. Go to pick it up and they lost the order, NO apologies, NO effort to make it right. The manager was rude and dismissive. Pass on choosing this location for your large orders.

Sucks the time I waited was what I had to get a quick breakfast, now Im stuck waiting till lunch time to eat. Communicate phone orders better next time guys.

One can never go wrong with a Western Bagel! I love the onion cheese bagels toasted with a side of cream cheese and lox. They have so many specialty bagels as well as the standard bagels to choose from. Plus you can make any of them into a sandwich. So of course, sometimes I get a Turkey sandwich on my onion cheese bagel 😉 Cant go wrong no matter what you buy here.

Very slow. People would order sanwiches, and the employee would then go make it, and the rest of us would just stand and wait. There were 5 employees making sandwiches and a long line. Really annoting. I just wanted to get a dozen to go. But it took almost 30 mins. Poor management!

DINE IN EXPERIENCE : Ive been here many times for breakfast and I was disappointed with their disinfecting process during this Covid19 period. We opted for outdoor seating (really nice that they have accommodations considering that seating was an issue in Pre - Covid19 days) but not once did I see staff cleaning tables or chairs before another customer occupied the space and in a 45 minute period, despite heavy traffic, doors and counters werent wiped down.FOOD : on point as always and never disappointing.

When I was little, my grandfather would bring bagels to the house. He always brought western bagels to us, so they have a fond place in my heart. Western is excellent for bagels and cream cheese, bagel sandwiches, and a few other things. I am not fond of most of the pastries and cookies that they sell, but they tend to sell out the case every day so perhaps theyre just not my thing. I personally feel the Egg bagels are the best in LA, but I have coworkers who prefer Goldsteins, so again its a preference thing. The Sepulveda location is open 24 hours - it makes a good stop on the way home after a night out.

Why don’t you have a few people designated to working the registers and everyone else filling the orders. You’ll increase output rate by 2x and revenues by 25%. Takes forever. Not worth the 40 min wait.

Great selection of hot fresh bagels. The have cheese covered with jalapenos, bacon, or plain. They have onion, garlic, pumpernickel, everything, plain, and more. They have plain cream cheese and flavored. They also make sandwiches. Parking is okay I am usually able to get a spot up front.

Currently, this is my favorite breakfast spot. I prefer the location in Chatsworth because the staff is friendly, fast and helpful. For breakfast, the Ala everything whole wheat bagel with sausage, egg and cheddar cheese along with and Large Hawaiian Hazelnut coffee and OJ get me through most of the day. They seem to always have a fresh carved turkey breast as well, which looks awesome (good source of protein). Sooo good. (:
