This restaurant charges 4% for using a CC, which I think is ridiculous!! Menu prices are if paid by cash. As a service-oriented establishment, restaurents NEED to offer purchases by cash or CC for exactly the same price. Businessse NEED to treat all purchases EQUALLY. NOT ACCEPTABLE behavior and will not come back!!

Credit card fee: 4%Beef noodle soup: Noodle texture didn’t hold up on the 20min drive. Broth heavy and rich. Decent but i advise don’t order as takeout, eat it there.

Huge portion for low price! Food was delicious too. Only downside is the small occupancy but a low key place like this you shouldnt have trouble waiting in line to get a seat.

Great Taiwanese lunch style boxes. They have amazing happy hour deals. Regular prices are around $10. Tea drink for around $5. Really good milk teas that have real tea flavor, unlike some places that taste more like sugar water. Service is also great and AC is super cold. Great for me, but my GF always brings a jacket to wear.

Great Taiwanese Fast Food. They have all the good stuff. Fried fish cake was inconsistent for us, some days good and chewy, some days seemingly over fried or hard and crunchy. All in all, great to have in this area as not many Taiwanese options near here

Good food and good service. Came here trying the famous Taiwanese fried pork chop with rice combo and pop corn chicken. Both dishes were very authentic and delicious. Will definitely visit again. Restaurant opens 6 days a week. Close on Mondays.

This place gud. Like really really ghuduh. High recommend the mince pork as it perfectly performs on the delicate balance of fat and meat which intertwines on the taste buds and performs a waltz of flavor. But the real highlight of the symphony that is ‘Why Thirsty’ answers the very namesake’s question with a mere ‘just because’ as their drinks are more than phenomenally ingenious.

Food was okay in my opinion, i tried their #1 The railroad which ppl recommended on Yelp, I would say is about average in terms of tease if you ever been to Taiwan and had tried the local ones. Guess in LA this is as good as you can get. Personally i wont urge to try but if you really miss the Taiwanese food tease then maybe it can offer some comfort.

Great drinks. The teas are always fresh.Good food. I like railroad pork chop, noodles with fried fish or chicken basil.Bad part? This place is small and parking sucks because its small and this plaza has a lot of popular restaurants and shops.

What a disappointment! Should have turned and left when I saw how out of place this restaurant was in a plaza occupied by Trader Joes. But, then again, out of place restaurants usually have the best food (at least from my experience). Why Thirsty, however, isnt one of these places.To start, if you cant read Chinese, dont EVEN bother showing up to this place. Its the first Asian restaurant Ive been to that have menus thats ALL in Chinese! Thank God I went to Chinese School!I ordered the Beef Noodle and it was MEH. The beef wasnt that tender and the noodle/broth was fairly typical. I tried the pork chop and it wasnt anything special either. Ive definitely experienced better.Overall, I was disappointed. I thought it would be pretty good since it was rated 4 stars on Yelp and there seems to be a never ending line of people wanting to get a table. Maybe Im missing something theyre aware of?

Came here twice . First was to try the popcorn chicken rice . The portion was good. The chicken come in a separate bag so it doesnt get soggy and made me feel like Im getting alot of it .The second time I tried the railroad dish, which pretty much is like pork cutlet but is pan fried instead of deep fried which makes it not crispy. Its... Not as great as I thought it would be, I actually would like eating deep fried cutlet (katsu) version of this. Taste is decent.The premium milk tea is pretty good.

Hainan chicken rice is a knockout. On their menu I think they call it ginger chicken rice. Whatever you call it, chicken is juicy, tender, richly flavoured, with lots of grated garlic and veggies on the side. Tea is right on, too, with just the level of sweetness you specify. While Im ranting, might as well mention how good the red beans are in the shaved ice!

The popcorn chicken is great and the drink is pretty good too. But don’t order their 3 cups chicken which is completely NOT what a 3 cups chicken should taste like.

We got spicy popcorn chicken and milk tea. They were. both good and authentic Taiwanese taste. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to taste good Taiwanese food.

Drinks here are not too sweet. The food is great too. The noodles have been getting saltier and saltier, so ask for light seasoning if you go for the dry noodles.

The boba in boba tea is the best. The tea base are from lose leaf tea. Food wise, depends on what you get, if you get something popular, those are usually good. Here is some suggestions for food: popcorn chicken, beef soup noodles and pork chop noodles/rice.

This was my first time trying Taiwanese food. I got the popcorn chicken, and it was not what I was expecting. It was spicy and sweet with lots of basil. My husband got the porkchop and loved it.

Why Thirsty is place for me to just come and have a simple and delicious meal. This is not a huge place and I like the atmosphere there. The owner and workers are attentive to our orders. This is my go to restaurant for family meal.

The railroad pork chop rice is pretty big size. Credit card can be used after $15. Taiwanese causal food. Pork chop is prepared differently, not like fried ones. This place is okay.

I go here all the time they have the best rice noodles and cook with healthy sunflower oil or acacado oil and very clean food especially I like their green tea and boba and natural french fries clean oil never use vegetable oil because its chemical and not healthy.it my favorite taiwaTaiw restaurant in California
