We usually go to the Wokcano in Valencia. My Emperors Beef was just as good as the other place. My friend had a lemon chicken, could of been better but it was decent-just not outstanding. Server was good at taking care of us. Will go back again.

Our dinner at Wokcano was disappointing, to say the least. The Lo Mein was flat and bland, as my husband described. My yellow tail and salmon sashimi were old and must have been out of the refrigerator too long. We were charged for chicken, which was not really in the Lo Mein. The strawberry in the Lychee Martini was overripe and mushy. The only saving grace was Monte, the server who was very pleasant and welcoming.

Im not sure what I was expecting, but I was definitely expecting a better experience than I received. Ordered through a service. All items arrived hot to the touch. Unfortunately, while hot is a desired temperature, soggy is not. The Calamari came in completely soggy in its sealed container. Everything was too salty, including the soup. The orange chicken should be called blood orange chicken due to its color. Other than the color and saltiness, it wasnt too bad. The chicken fried rice was also not bad. Prices reflect hire quality restaurants. My complete order was a disappointment and I couldnt see myself ordering from here again. I cannot recommend ordering delivery or takeout from this location.

Lesly our server was GREAT! My husband and I ordered from the lunch menu. Lunch menu comes with a nice side salad with crunchy wonton strips!I ordered the Shrimp with Asparagus with brown rice . I loved it! Its very flavorful and filling. My husband ordered the Spicy Mongolian Beef with white rice. He loved it and it was very spicy, just the way he prefers this dish!Large indoor seating as well as outdoor patio dining. Comfortable booths with large windows.The only negative was the loud music during lunch. Overall, the food, atmosphere and service were wonderful. Thank you Lesly! We shall return.

Service was great but the food was very bland and overpriced. It’s always a bad sign when the menu is that long, but its an even worse sign when they serve plain, over boiled broccoli as a side. We left feeling like we had been robbed. I don’t mind paying for good food, but this was definitely not good food. Definitely won’t be back and definitely wouldn’t recommend. Sorry!

Restaurant located in a beautiful promenade. There are parking structure and 90 minutes outdoor parking. They have great food 🥘 and drinks 🍹. We usually order one main course 🍖 and add salad 🥗 & rice 🍚 with few dollars extra. It is enough for two.

The food was mediocre and the service was horrible. The waiter took our drinks for a refill and came back 15-20 minutes later completely forgetting. Tried to get his attention many times without success. Had to wait five minutes to find someone to bring a spoon so I could eat my soup. The sushi was decent. My friends chicken dish was rubbery.

Soup spilled in our car, Carrera, caused 280 dollar cleaning fee. Called and the Maitre d, He told me that the GM would return my call no later than 2:30 p.m.I had to come there from Santa Clarita, for an accident report! They told me they dont have an accident or an injury report! Wow! And a GM who doesnt carry business cards..Made him aware that his maitre d promised me that he would call back..by 2:30, I show him the broken bag, my receipt for car damage, I would initially have accepted the food remade!.I was promised on the phone that he would resolve it. Three calls later found me driving my Rent a car, (my 2022 911 Carrera) was at detail shop with $280 dollars fee) to get fish stains and odor out of my carpet..!7:30 p.m. rolls around, the GM never even got the message.I go there with intentions to have the food replaced. Stood there being treated like I did not exist!. Asked for help..The same person who says the GM would call me, ( Maitre d minus) is standing there talking to him.However, he again, gives me a total runaround. I presented the bag, with fish soup all over the broken bottom, my receipt,The man just jerked me around for 35 minutes!.No one cares how you bagged our food..The bag broke! Youve waisted hours of my time, costing me 330 dollars and you tell me your going to check the cameras?.The bag broke in our car, a new car. So this resturaunt ads insult to injury!I will be filling a suit in small claims now..Gee, and to think that we would just trust the resturaunt management to just replace our food.Completely unreasonable, completely arrogant, completely unacceptable, now you will be served for negligence and breach of reasonable care .See you in Chatsworth court!It was a mistake assuming that your resturaunt has ANY consideration for its customers or for that matter assumes responsibility for liability that it has for injuries and damages --breech of service causes. If I could leave less stars, I would. We were served fish that had clearly gone bad. When we alerted the server and asked to speak to a manager the hospitality completely diminished. The manager did not offer any solution, other than saying it wasn’t bad and taking it away. The server then threw to-go boxes on the table after the check and walked away from us when we tried to ask a question. I will never go back.

Totally a different restaurant now cause the food was always good!Terrible service! Every time I go to this place I say to myself this is the last time. But my kids like the food unfortunately. The food was ok however was very disappointed with the level of service. When we came in the hostess didnt even acknowledge us. Shortly after I went to use the restroom to find them dirty with toilet paper all over the floor an stalls without any toilet paper. The rest of the meal lacked luster, we never had a single dish removed from our table even after receiving the bill. The only thing that saved this experience was the new hostess that simply took the time to thanked us for visiting after the previous one changed her shift. Save your time and money and go to Tomoya Sushi & Izakaya down the street.

We were a group of 17 celebrating New Years. The manager didn’t allow us to take our seats till half of the party was there. On the menu was stated that for extra 5$ you can get soup and salad. The manager said that this is an old menu and the price is 8$. Nothing could convince him that he has to give us with the stated price. When t try he bill arrived he insisted on one bill for the all party in cash. Most of us don’t carry that much cash, after an argument he agreed that we can use for payment only 2 credit cards and the rest in cash. Although the food was good the experience will definitely make me to skip this place.The manager was extremely rude and not pleasant.

Upon arrival, my guest and I were seated next to a side entrance. We sat for 15 minutes waiting to be greeted or acknowledged. Though we saw several servers wandering about, not one of them noticed us. I finally flagged a server down and made a request to order. Originally we ordered the garlic butter oysters. 10 minutes later, the server advised us that they were out of oysters. My guest ordered the sea bass, and I ordered the Cantonese lobster. The sea bass was watery, not flakey, almost soggy. It was more like white fish or tilapia. The lobster did not taste like lobster. You had to work to get the meat out without proper tools like a shell cracker. It was like eating crab because you had to break open the claws, thoracic body, head, and tail to try and get the meat out. The tools you are given is a fork, a baby fork, and a baby spoon. It was extremely messy and the results were less impressive. Also, being seated next to the side entrance on a cold night at 40 degrees, resulted in my guest and I getting blasted with cold air every time the door was opened. There was a lot of foot traffic that came in and out of the side entrance, so this also cooled the meals down considerably. The server checked on us one time within the hour and 20 minutes we were there. The prices were extremely high for the quality and service, especially for being an establishment at The Village, where dining is held to a higher standard. The bill came to $121.65 plus gratuity. Needless to say, we ended up going to another establishment to dine with good quality food and service at a fraction of the price.

Really good! We live nearby but had avoided this place for a while because our experiences with comparable chain restaurants has been decidedly mediocre. The flavors and portions here really pleasantly surprised. Hamachi Carpaccio was nicely balanced. Hot and Sour soup, while not very spicy, had a lot of umami and balance (which is hard to find). Hunan Lamb and Sushi rolls were large portions and clean taste profiles. Will definitely go back!

I always get takeout because the staff is rude and unprofessional. Today I ordered online per usual and arrived 25 minutes after I placed the order. The hostess Noga, was laughing with other staff members and asked the name for my order. She then pulled a bunch of receipts out of the printer and said “oh, I just got your order it will only take 10 minutes.” No apology. Then she came running to me with a bag about 5 minutes later and asked my name again. She was confused and walked away. I asked to speak to a manager and Ari, the manager was in the back on a phone call. I asked why his staff was so unprofessional and why my order wasn’t ready. He didn’t have an answer and said he had to look at the cameras. Lol this explains why the staff is a mess. He offered no apology either. Overpriced for everything and the experience is trash.

I ordered the spicy tuna roll and the California roll. The spicy tuna was very good but the California roll was far from good. Edemame was good but hard to mess up to be honest. My husband ordered lo mein and initially he thought it tasted well. After some time, he noticed that it was way too salty.Overall, I would say, the vibe was nice, the staff was nice, but the food was too expensive. I prefer paying for good tasting food.

My wife and I used to love this place. We used to come here once a month and order The emperors beef and pad Thai and get it with the soup and salad. We didn’t go here as much due to the pandemic. Since we haven’t gone there ever since the beginning of this year we decided to order some food from them on a special occasion. So, on New Year’s eve we were going to order a few items or one of those special dinner for two packs to celebrate New Year’s. I tried calling them but I kept getting the busy signal. After six or seven attempts I finally got through and someone answered and told me to hold. It took me a while to figure out that they said please hold because he said it so fast and didn’t annunciate. I was on hold for a long time. After waiting for 10 minutes I gave up and hung up. I understand you’re busy and have a lot of phone calls to answer but putting a customer on hold for over 10 minutes is unacceptable. I’m probably not gonna do business with this establishment again in the near future.

There were plenty of empty tables, inside and out. I asked the four people standing around the register if we could sit outside. One of them replied yes but she appeared to feel we had ruined a perfectly good evening. A waiter took us to our table and left. Ten minutes went by without a server. Favorite Village eatery. Always a great experience, when I am at the Village for a walk while window shopping, at Costco, Healthy Spot, shopping for the latest designer active wear, or incredible decorating items and gifts. They have a great central location, and depending upon where you sit, patio with my little dogs, alone at the bar for happy hour, or with others in the L-shaped restaurant with great window views of the passers-by and beautiful area, the experience is never boring. The food is varied and delicious, exceptional for the reasonable cost in such a nice area, a friend described as the Rodeo Drive of the Valley. The staff are really exceptional, all seem to be familiar with the entire menu, something I really appreciate is a restaurant taking the time and expense to educate their staff by allowing them to taste everything. I love the scrumptious war wonton $6.00, enough for a small appetite, saki sampler-four shot-sized sakis under $10.00, fresh appetizers, many beverages, great main menu. Everything is prepared freshly, with obvious care, even during the happy hours, so you will wait as long as it takes, the kitchen is clearly very well run, never had anything less than perfect.

Please, dont visit this restaurant if you are vegan or have gluten free allergies. I had a wonderful experience the first time with a waiter that care about my allergies and was happy to double checked with the kitchen and the manager about the orange tofu. The second time was a horrible experience as they didnt not care so much about my allergies. I got the crazy rice, which I told the waiter twice no eggs and gluten free soy sauce. Well, my meal had eggs and then they ran out of gluten free soy sauce. The crazy rice had no garlic or ginger flavor and it barely had any vegetables. What it really had was a pound of oil. The manager came and told me that the reason I had eggs in my rice, was that the chef was chinese and he did not speak any english. I then ordered the pad thai noodles with no gluten free soy and again a pound of oil. I was sick as soon as I left the restaurant and throughout the night. Save yourself the trouble with this place.

They are not handling pandemic business very well. There were several customers whose orders were 10-25 minutes late and the staff was unable to differentiate between those picking up and those who wanted to be seated. Finally got my food, and discovered that everything but the rice was cold after just a 5 minute drive. Not just not hot, but cold. Like exposed to chilly room temperatures for, say, 20 minutes. Seems clear that my order, probably along with many others, was somehow misplaced by the time I showed to pick it up. I had to make sure the chicken was actually cooked, and when that is even a thought in your head, its hard to enjoy the food.

The food got cold very quickly, so I am assuming it was barely warm to begin with and the plates werent warmed. The service was ok, but pretty slow. Our waitress was very odd, nice but odd a little creepy. Lastly is the price we spent like $70 on 2 appetizers one main dish and my GF got a drink and I had a beer that was on tap and was like a discounted house beer. Thats kind of alot especially considering the food was nothing memorable. Maybe I need to try one of their specialties, but I doubt Ill make it back ever again.

The reason I’m writing a review is because the young man who answered the phone when I called, went out of his way to try and help me. My boyfriend and I went to this specific location for lunch. We spent over $50 and gave a high tip. Outside patio is closed after 10 pm because of happy hours. But if you came before 10 pm, you can sit there as long as you want. Dishes are also pretty expensive, though they are fairly large.The unacceptable: We ordered a vegan version (no eggs, no protein) of their fried rice. 1st offense: the dish came with lots of stir fried egg mixed into the rice. We asked for a redo. 2nd offense: the server returned with the same plate insisting that there was no egg in the dish when there clearly was egg, and lots of it. We called him again and this time they remade the dish.

This Wockano location is set a little differently than the Burbank location. There is more natural light during the day. The taste of the Mongolian Beef was nicely balanced.
