Good food with quick service. Nothing to crazy but for it was nearby and open late, no complaints! The orange tofu was very good as was the noodle dish ordered. The crispy Brussels sprouts were also super good and came out quick which was nice.

Atmosphere was nice place was nice the food looked nice but there’s no love or flavor in this sushi or fried rice, the waitress left us for a solid 24 min, no water, no charisma, just a bad experience, over priced for what your getting. Not sure if I’ll come back. Maybe try during a busy hour. The veggies were good and had flavor but $300 dollar bill was not worth the service or experience. 😒😕🫤

I cant express how much I enjoyed my visit to Wokcano restaurant. The service was outstanding; the staff made us feel like royalty from the moment we walked in. This afternoon my good friend treated me to a good lunch here at Wokcano. The waiters were very helpful and our food was served in a timely manner,fresh hot and flavorful,when our food was brought to our table we were served with very friendly and courteous hospitality. We even met the Manager Kevin I believe his name was,he was very friendly respectful and accommodating to our needs🥰 me and my friend were very satisfied customers and had dined sufficiently like kings😋😋 I highly recommend this place and the ambiance was very relaxing and comfortable. I give Wokcano 2 Thumbs up👍👍 and will be back again😊 we even order more food to go😋 we had the shrimp & chicken Pad Thai,crispy orange tofu,crispy garlic chicken wings,Young Chow combination fried rice,spicy crab and cream cheese wonton and veggies egg rolls. Excellent customer service at 10pm! Seated almost immediately by a polite hostess. Waitress Joanne was with our table within minutes of sitting. We parked 2 blocks away since we couldnt find a spot close by. Street parking was almost impossible despite it being kinda late.Prices were great for the food and everything was fresh. I ordered the spicy calamari and miso soup as appetizers. My husband had the main dish of filet mignon which was tender and tasty. The mignon came with salad and rice which were also very good. I had 2 shots of Johnnie Black to pair with our food. I also ordered the grilled salmon as my main dish, but was mildly disappointed at how plain it tasted. At least it was cooked thoroughly and the green beans accompanying it were fried just right.The only reason my rating lost 1 star was that the bathroom was exceptionally unclean. It had all the supplies (i.e. soap, paper towels, tp), but the floor was sticky and dirty. The sink was also not clean. The total for the bill with tip was $141. We had leftovers for a to-go bag.I felt this was a good choice for late night dinner out so thanks for an overall positive experience 😑

Came here for the first time and it was pretty good. The food got the job of relieving our hunger for us. Started with steamed pork dumplings which werent too bad, then our main dishes of Mongolian beef and sweet/sour pork. Mongolian beef was DELICIOUS! Great portion and man abundance of scallions- which to me, you can never have enough. The rainbow roll was decent. Great service- especially from the food runner.Seems like drink and food presentation is more on the minimum side. While the cocktails were super yummy, the basic garnish made them look a little sad; we also got a little chuckle out of the very random American flag garnishing our plate of dumplings. I wonder what the reason for the flag is for.All-in-all if I was visiting DTLA again, Id come back to this place for a super casual meal.

Our server was the best! Very friendly and always around when we needed him. We tried sushi, fried rice and poultry dishes and they were all delicious. The food came out quickly and exactly how we wanted. They also were very open to taking certain ingredients it for a person in our party with allergies. It was an amazing experience. Eat everything Asian and no complaints, Wow!We were a party of Three and we all had different parts of Asian Cuisine.I had pai-ta, my wife had Japanese fried fish for dinner, and my friend had Chinese dinner. Wokcano is COVID safe and without the wait. We went for dinner on Friday night and were immediately sat at a table. The manager is great and greeted us and took our drink order. The entire wait staff was very friendly. The Wokcano Pear drink is SOOOOOO good. We also shared the Orange Chicken. The portion sizes are HUGE and worth the money. We were not disappointed. I highly recommend.

Call me old fashioned ....but the rule of thumb is that if the toilets are dirty dont eat in there plus graffiti carved into sink, toilet seat and mirror ! my sons choice & treat, if had been mine ....NO, also when the kitchen staff are use the customers toilets 🤮, the waiter kept spilling stuff from the plates he was putting down on our table, food not great.

It was my first time being at Wankcano, I am from New York. I only had the tuna roll and the spicy chicken wings, I was expecting them to be in a spicy sauce, but what they did was they toss it in garlic, green peppers, and jalapenos no sauce. So it didnt have much flavor in the chicken.2 stars for that The staff was very tentative quick service. Like I said I will return back and have something different from the menu.

Made this from 2 stars to 4 just for his excellent customer service!!!!The environment was nice and upscale but the food is a huge disappointment. I ordered teriyaki chicken asked for fried rice and waiter response was “we don’t substitute”. Not even an up sell option, 1st disappointment. Food arrives the chicken is grilled slices with teriyaki on the side and green beans side dish. Not Chinese food I’m used to Disappointment #2 …. but I give it a try. Salad with ginger dressing, oh wait no dressing really hardly, had to ask for side of it. Then comes, Major disappointment #4 Chicken is rubber without taste gross. Very unpleasant experience for first dinner in LA. :(

Parking is either on the street or you can park at the mall at 7th and Figueroa. Dee was my server and she was really nice. This is a local favorite. They also have Happy Hour. Full bar.

After the hot sake we decided to have a margarita and it was terrible as well. Don’t order it. I think it was pre-mixed. Robin Review!Went here Sunday night for a girl’s night. It was 11:30 pm and we were hungry and this was one of the few places that popped up. My friend has gone before and said it was really good spot so i was looking forward to it. This spot is a cool Asian infusion spot in downtown LA. Difficult to find parking even on a Sunday night around midnight. Instantly seated upon entry. Had a late night happy hour which was a nice surprise. Ordered a sangria. Tasty. Large servings of food. Each order fills the entire plate. I got the shrimp and salmon fried rice. Could’ve been more pieces of seafood, but otherwise I was satisfied. Next time I’ll definitely check out the sushi. Saw the platters others ordered and looked good, too. Would come back to this spot.

Went for a graduation dinner. The rolls were wonderful, we got a nice variety for 3 people. Servers were attentive. Overpriced sushi and Chinese food that you can get for much cheaper at authentic Chinese restaurants. We got mostly appetizers and one sushi roll, which were not bad however. But I would only recommend this place if you want ordinary Asian (mostly Chinese) food at a modern, Westernized setting.

Today I ordered there Jasmine fried rice with chicken, shrimp and beef. This lacks flavor completely. Nothing is seasoned. If youre into bland food this place is for you. Id suggest going to Chinatown and getting fried rice for 1/2 the price and they season their meat and shrimp.

We ordered sushi and some rolls and chicken fried rice. The sushi was ok. The rolls were ok nothing special. The chicken fried rice had no flavor. The fried rice at Panda Express has more flavor. The staff looked about as excited to work there as somebody watching paint dry. Definitely a let down.

I used to come to this restaurant all the time. I went in there today and the host completely ruined how I view this restaurant. I simply asked for a table for 2 and I have never met somebody so rude. I would understand if I was rude first but I was not. I will never go to this restaurant again. Worst customer service ever. Amazing atmosphere and food the garlic noodles with shrimp are amazing. My 10 year old daughter and niece loved the monkey brain appetizer. My 23 year old daughter had the cucumber salad it was really good and my 2 year old grandbaby loved it! We had the volcano roll, shrimp tempura roll, California roll, green dragon roll, spicy crabmeat roll and also the baked crab rolls everything was amazing and the price was great! My son ate here with a friend the day before and couldnt wait to go back. Good choice Chase, youre almost a food critic 😜The service wasnt very good at all. The martini I ordered was horrible maybe because my waiter was also the bartender and not a bartender that actually knew how to prepare it.

We wanted to grab dinner late at night after a long day of traveling and our concierge suggested Wokano! And I’m so glad she did! This casual yet fun restaurant served up some amazing plates! We got the spicy soy edamame (which were so good, I could live on these!), chicken dumplings and tempura shrimp rolls to share. This review is for the Downtown LA location, address: 800 W 7th St.I brought my Elder Cousin who is 82 years old in to try sushi for the first time and we were treated like trash. I ordered the spicy crabmeat tempura roll to start but was shocked when the roll came out cold. Wanting him to have a good 1st experience and also wanting a fresh tempura roll I told the bar tender the roll was cold and asked for it to be made fresh. The bar tender came back out and said the Manager, Robert, said it couldn’t be remade. I asked why and she said they were having kitchen issues. Meanwhile, folks around us were being served food so I asked to speak with the Manager.Robert came out and told me they won’t be making the roll over bc the bartender told him I said the crabmeat was cold. I called the bartender over and asked if I said anything about the crabmeat and she said no. So Robert made that up. I asked him once again why I was being refused food and he then said he misheard his bartender.Furious about even having to make multiple requests for food I asked for my check. Robert nonchalantly printed my check and didn’t even have the decency to take the roll off.I asked Robert for the GM’s contact info and he told me they didn’t have a GM. However, on my way out I asked the hostess if they have a GM and she confirmed that they do have one. Thankfully she gave me the GM’s name and contact info so I will be reporting my bad experience to her too.If you want to be belittled and disrespected by the staff or made to feel like your business is unwanted, come here. On the flip side, if you have dignity, value your money and who you spend it with, and want good customer service, don’t come to this location.This experience was beyond terrible and I won’t be back to this location.

I dined at Wokcano on 7th in downtown LA for lunch today like I periodically have done in the past four many years.I had an unexpected turn when I noticed I grabbed the dinner menu and not the lunch menu thats usually sat on the bar tops during lunch hours. I proceeded with asking the manager about the lunch specials she expressed I was mistaken and insinuated I must of been speaking of happy hour that started at 3PM. Immediately after I knew I was being thrown for a loop by the establishment. She then insulted me after I asked for a price change to honer what I was used to by saying If I wasnt going to pay my bill I could walk out and never return. As a customer I felt awful. The staff proceeded to tell me every time I came into the establishment I had a problem with my food that left me at the end of the conversation scratching my head because that was false.The conclusion of this is I believe the establishment on 7th exposed a prejudice nature to the service I received today that ive never experienced because Im familiar with the afternoon staff and was always treated with the upmost kindness and respect. The girl, a bit plumpy with dark hair and some yellow highlights that was there provided horrible customer service and she showed she could not care less. Have came here numerous times before all within the last two months. Service has always been good and food has always been on point! Tonight unfortunately was not the case. Service was extremely poor at the bar. Had an older gentlemen who forgot to put in my dinner order so I sat at the bar for 40+ minutes with a beer and appetizer looking for my food. Once I found out it wasn’t ordered I proceeded to ask for the manager and re order my food. The manage came and said he would reprimand the employee but that does nothing for me or making up my time I just waisted hungry starring at the bar expecting food. He never suggested any form of compensation for my time wasted so I cancelled my order and vowed to never return. Customer service is very important seeing how I’ve worked in the industry for numerous years.

My experience at this place was great in downtown L.A.. The atmosphere was nice, they had cool music playing and the people was enjoying themselves. We went to celebrate with a friend, we had a private room where we ate and had cocktails. Service was good and the happy hour menu is great.

This Wokcano never disappoints. The reverse happy hour is very convenient for those coming downtown for an event or show. I also come to this location for lunch. The food is satisfactory and the service is always great. They have a very attentive but not annoying staff.

I have really liked the food there. I got the Shanghai Lo Mein (vegetarian) and I found it was really good as compared to other places I tried. I had it delivered (through grubhub) at the hotel and I no issues. In fact, the person was able to deliver it right to my room. I will definitely order more when I go back to LA.

I called prior to and asked what water they have and they said 750ml Evian for 3.50. I ordered, and arrowhead 500ml arrived. Also the food was cold and decent at best. It took well over an hour and my hotel room is only a few blocks away from the restaurant. I called a few times to check on my order, I was hung up on, put on indefinite holds, and the staff were straight up rude to me. My girlfriend also called after to complain, I told her it wasn’t worth it but she insisted. The restaurant told her to take it up with seamless and hung up on her. Alas, I am. I’m doing so by writing a bad review.

I have known this spot for many years and its always on top of customer service and you can bet on huge servings of decent grub thats easy to share. I celebrated a birthday here and they even threw in another wine on the house. It is a great spot.

I came on a Friday night for happy hour since I live nearby. I pass it frequently so decided to see if this place was any good even though it is a chain. But it looked nice from the outside so gave it a try. We mostly got sushi rolls which I would say obviously isnt the same standard as sushi at an actual Japanese restaurant. I always know not to go to an Asian restaurant that Asian people wouldnt go too.....Unfortunately this is one of them....

My family and I visited and the food was not what I thought it would be, The orange Chicken comes in huge chunks and was a bit dried out. The rest of the food was sub par. I am thinking it was just the Chef. The location is nice as well as the ambiance. If I ever go back I will most likely try another location.

Pretty pricey ! For the chump food. I ordered the shrimp flat noodles. It tasted like a bunch of salty soy sauce and vegtable oil. Then i order these clam flat noodles. It came orange and tasted like super sweet chicken and a side of crushed peanuts! Yuck, It was disgusting! What a waste of 80$ I took 2 bits and was like, I cant do it. Waitress didnt even offer a refund .

Late night on a sunday and my group was starving. Got us seated fairly quickly and less than 15 minutes after we sat down our food came out... So hot it almost burned our mouths. The pad Thai was good, sweeter than Im used to but good. In all it was great spot in LA and a fabulous late night eat. As a note the kitchen closes at 1:15am, but thats later than most nearby places.
