The food was amazing, and the parents fave is korean short ribs, beef broccoli, and Singapore style noodles is very tasty, and my fave is spicy edamame. It is better to go during weekdays at noon, not a lot of people. The service was amazing. Drinks are delicious. I cant complain.

Ambiance: The inside is a very cute, simple modern design with a slightly open kitchen. There werent a lot of people for us to have gone at the tail end of happy hour on a Friday, though. Didnt have to wait for a seatService: The server was also the bartender, so he wasnt as attentive as we wouldve liked. The servers we caught passing by were helpful and kind though, so overall, it was a decent experience.Food: The Asian BBQ wings were really salty. They dont have dipping sauces, so I ended up using the sweet n sour to balance the flavor out. Chicken dumpling were delicious, I really enjoyed them. I initially ordered a sangria, but it wasnt good at all. The old apple flavor took over the whole drink, leaving it bitter with an aftertaste, I dont usually send things back, but I had to with that drink. I replaced it with a saki flight...the presentation could use some work, I had no idea which was which and 2 of them tasted exactly the same.

I wanted so badly to like this place. We walked in and they said it would be 5-10 min wait even though hardly any tables were full. They only had one server. We ended up waiting a little under 20 min before getting sat. I used the bathroom and the floors got my shoes really sticky, and both stalls were really unclean; hadn’t been flushed and trash/toilet paper all over the floor. After that, I noticed the entire restaurant had food on the floors, old sticky messes that had been left, dust and grime, etc. at that point I actually got worried I may get sick eating there, especially since they only had a B health rating. This must be because the one poor server was likely too busy helping customers all on their own and didn’t have the time or ability to clean anything. Our server was very nice.We ordered cucumber salad, chicken dumplings, and spicy tuna crispy rice. It was lacking in flavor, half cold, poor quality. Not inedible, but I would never want to come back to eat them again, especially for the price. I wouldn’t recommend and won’t be back.I also feel that they are short-staffed due to errors with management or low pay, so I don’t want to go back somewhere that can’t properly staff their restaurant for proper cleaning and likely doesn’t treat their staff that great anyway.

This place has gone all the way downhill. Waiter wasnt attentive at all. Forgot everything and I mean EVERYTHING we ordered. Saucers were dirty, hair in my sweet and sour sauce. I wish I could give this place a better rating. Alas. The Albacore Poke Bowl I ordered left much to be desired. Essentially it was a bowl filled to the brim with huge chunks of lettuce. Yes, you heard me right. Pretty much 80% was lettuce and sticky rice, and some very small bits of the Albacore. This was such an awful (yet expensive) execution of an otherwise awesome dish, I doubt I will ever come back to this place.

My husband, kids, and I went to eat there on Tuesday 3rd, 2023 at 12:55pm . The lady who attended at the front desk gave me an attitude. If she doesnt like her job just quit. Most of the employees there looked serious, not even smile.Dont want to go there again.

My husband and my two kids went to have some nice dinner… everything was fine on Sunday august 13 2023 around 6:25 pm when a worker lady with braids (her hair was held up like a bun) start shouting this place is dirty where are your runners and slammed a few menus on the table and started cleaning the table w some attitude it got uncomfortable BESIDES THAT EVERYONE ELSE WAS VERY HELPFUL. By the way ladies bathroom needs to be clean more often.

I ordered pick up through Uber eats. The hostess who got my food was super sweet I honestly dont really like wocano for corporate reasons. Ive been to the Burbank one, the woodland hills one, the Culver City one, and theyre not really nice of their employees so I dont usually try to buy stuff from them but I did have a coupon so my brain was like theyre not going to profit that much off of me... but I digress.But the employees that work here were really great and so I left four stars because of them. And I left the hostess a little gift card because I didnt have any cash and she was very sweet about it. (Whoever worked takeout Sunday Sept 24 at 1pm youre awesome).

If you are looking for a place with terrible service, this is the place to go. My friend and I visited this location and we did NOT get served. The rude hostess didnt greet us when she walked up. She basically ignored us until she finished on her phone, and I guess clocked back in. Actually, NO ONE greeted us when we walked in. We asked to sit on the patio and the girl said sit wherever you want. I had to ask twice for a high chair. She finally came out and put down menus, then came back a second time to bring the high chair. My friend and I sat outside with no server for over 10 mins. As I looked into the restaurant window, the hostess and the manager were standing at the host stand another guy with blond hair all on their phones. No one ever came back out to help us. This place is awful!!

It had a nice atmosphere, but the service was lacking. The gentleman bussing the table, was also the cashier and the server. They either need to prioritize or hire more staff.The food wasnt bad, $7 for a bottled water was a bit stiff. With some leadership and additional staff, it would be a great place for a quick bite.

I really wanted to like this place since there’s not much Asian food in the area and the menu looked promising - ordered sashimi and got nigiri - which was some of the worst quality fish I’ve ever had. Most of it was inedible and tasted like they went bad. Somehow even the salmon was flavorless and I love salmon and have extremely low standards. Only the spicy tuna tasted somewhat ok but wasn’t special. I don’t like leaving reviews, especially bad ones, but this food was too expensive for me not to want to eat any of it.

Wolcano never disappoints. We ended up by accident. Glad we stayed. It was Dinner for me, the birthday girl. I had an awesome experience. Zaya our server, suggested this Blueberry Sake that blew my socks off. She really took care of us. A really nice soul centered woman. Loved the Tempura shrimp roll, Seaweed salad, Spicy Eggplant, Singapore Style Noodles and the Salmon was cooked perfectly. Whew! We ordered a lot of food. Tip: I like the seating in the back because its quieter. Because I was wearing my Tiara, some of the customers sang Happy Birthday to me, then these other fine gentlemen paid for our meal. I gotta tell you, it was one of the best times Ive had at Wokcano.

Id have pictures of the sushi, but they ran out of the rice. I did try the garlic pork belly and the orange chicken (which was in place of the sushi that i really wanted). The service was good, although our server was the only server for most of the night. Could have possibly been better if she had enough time for our table, even the busser was slammed. I did like the food quite a bit, just felt a little awkward when others at the table hadnt even been told that their food was almost done. I enjoyed the Japanese old fashioned, and wanted another, if i didnt have to drive far.Would really like to see if the overall experience improves. That would be worth a star for a 4.5 and i rounded up.

I placed an order of 2 California rolls for takeout at this location and they told me it would be ready in 15 mins approximately so i came back in 18 mins and the host told me it still wasnt ready because he had 1 cook and had just made a big order so he said come back in 5 mins to which i did and still was not ready then told me it would be ready in 10 mins to which I gotta refund because its really none of my business if theyre short staffed they couldve been more honest about the actual wait time or they shouldve closed their kitchen if it was gonna be an inconvenience

I ordered take out and half of my meal was missing! I spent 156 dollars for dinner for a family of 4 and 64 dollars worth of food was missing from my order. I called the restaurant and they wouldn’t refund me for my food or make the food over. The manager said because I picked up the order at 3pm and didn’t call to complain until 3 minutes after 6 pm ( which is dinner time). That he couldn’t refund the food. They basically accused me of lying and stole 64 dollars from me. Zero hospitality and it’s very ghetto at this specific location. Make sure you check your food! Because they don’t care or take their customers word!

General manager Hiram is rude. asked me to leave due to a previous incident where both he and his staff served horrible undercooked fish!! was mad that i i wanted my fish prepared properly. most recently in an attempt to give this restaurant another chance. after i ordered a 3 course meal and cocktail, Hiram came up to me told me i had to leave. told the bartender to cut me off and serve my check. a full priced check and he asked me to leave??!!! . i want o hear from corporate. Hiram is a horrible manager, his presentation is a mess .he is completely unprofessional . i want an apology and from him and somekne higher in rank and to dine in wokano in peace.

Service here was terrible. I ordered a chicken fried dish rice for lunch as a pickup order. When I got home I realized that they had given me shrimp fried rice (Im allergic to shrimp so if I had taken a bite of this, this could have been extremely dangerous). I called the restaurant asking for a refund and they refused to do so. They claimed that I needed to bring back the dish to the restaurant to exchange the order. At this point, there was a lunch rush but I had no other option but to go back and show them the mistake they made. They still refused to offer me a refund and the best they could do is make a separate order. This is one of the worst experiences Ive had with a restaurant especially because they didnt acknowledge the risk involved with this considering food allergies.As a side note, the food is also bland.I would avoid it at all costs.

We the works I believe the Obama and my girl had some wings with grits. Friend Chicken was nicely crispy and soft. The regular waffles were it tasted fresh. Finally, the Mac n Cheese on point not too heavy. Although with that I was completely out and satisfied. We came early Friday right before the lunch rush.The only issue with Roscos is service coordination there is gap or short of stuff. My critic goes to who is responsible for the tables among the stuff. It takes some individual asking for service before someone takes your order.Finally, I will visit again great food definite can improve in some areas.

The service here was not good at all. I have been to all the locations and this is the worst one. The chef at this location uses too much salt. This is the second time I had a negative experience at this location. I ordered a spicy fried chicken entree that had way to much hot peppers in it. Update:Its even worse now food was overcook and hard. For the money they charge I would expect more.Food was not good ordered online was told food would be ready at one time walked in to pick up food and it wasnt ready and was told they were short staffed and it would take them another 20 minutes. I left walked around the mall came back and food still wasnt done. Finally got food went home and proceeded to eat said food. I ordered orange chicken and noodles. The noodles were fine but the chicken was over fried making it hard and rubbery. Before this pandemic this was a great place to eat, I always enjoyed eating here. If all all you want is noodles dont hesitate to stop in.

Wow. The servers there really are the prime example of EXCELLENT service.Very courteous and fast. Not too pushy, and they asked very good follow up questions for our orders. I didn’t know the plate I got had onions so she asked if I was ok with onions and vegetables. I was grateful because it would have ruined my meal had I not known about it.Also, happy hour is so good too. The pasta was amazing and the chicken was very well cooked. The red wine was a great tasting Cabernet.I was so impressed with this location that just remembering the experience prompted me to give this review. 10/10

Spoke to person over the phone and ordered rice with my teriyaki chicken. My daughter picked up my order and when she got home, no rice. Called restaurant and all I was told was that I didn’t get charged. She missed my point completely. I asked for my meal a certain way, they repeated it back to me and still screwed it up. No apology, nothing. Just kept repeating that I didn’t get charged. And the food is cold!!! This location is terrible and has no customer service skills.

The garlic chicken wings are the best thing on the menu, imo. Servings are large-ish, for two, so I often bring leftovers home. Food takes quite some time to leave the kitchen. Salads are DROWNED in dressing, so it is difficult to recognize the greens with the eyes or the tongue (this is a pet peeve of mine, and smacks of no management in the kitchen over the salad-makers; no, I dont want it on the side, I want it lightly dressed and fully tossed ... how hard is that??).Service is hit or miss, with bartenders spending more time with each other than customers (it has been this way for the years I have been going and I observe it applying to all customers). -->Its as though the bar is a barrier between them and us.

Walked into Wokcano November 6th, expecting some good service and food. They sat us at the bar because there would be a wait for a table which is fine because we had to catch a movie. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. We ordered at 7:17pm and got our drinks right away. 7:55 came around and we still did not have our food so I asked the bartender when our food would be ready and he says that they are just waiting for the beef and broccoli and the orange chicken was already ready. So I told him to put our food in a Togo container when ready. Another 10 mins went by and the bartender knows how long it’s taking so he brings us another drink for free but at this point free drinks will not satisfy us because we wanted food. Another 10 mins went by and I told the bartender to cancel the order and can he put the free drinks in a Togo cup. He explains that he does not have any Togo cups so we left with no food and the free drinks just went to waste because he didn’t have any Togo cups. Plus the orange chicken was probably cold by now. This is not the only encounter I had with them and I wasn’t satisfied with those first few encounters. I ordered food ahead of time and when I arrive, I have to wait another 30 mins for my food to be ready and there is no compensation. Only offered a water cup for my patience. Third time is the charm, this place will never receive my money again.

One of my favorite wokcano locations in the city, this location never fails me. The food and drinks are always amazing. The only thing is they never have the chow fun anymore. Its still on the menu, but do to the current state of things, they are unable to get some of the ingredients. Overall, I would definitely recommend this location.

Came here with friends and their food is decent. The service was above and beyond and our server Justin was so attentive and friendly.I ordered the rice cakes as I will order these any place that had them on the menu. They are my favorite. I wasnt too impressed with the rice cakes here unfortunately. There was too much tuna and it wasnt spicy enough. I felt the tuna alone was a bit bland and dominated the flavor of the rice cake as a whole. I wouldnt order this again here.Also, I order the crunchy shrimp roll that I did enjoy. There was the right amount of crunch, shrimp and overall ingredients. They also serve you about 10 pieces which was good enough to eat this role alone. I would order this again.I did enjoy the presentation of the way the food was displayed in each plate.

Heard about this place because of Food Insider and went to go try the Monkey Brain (pictured). Many of the menu items vary in price with the lowest I saw being around $7-$8 and the more premiere dishes being in the $25-$35 range. The portions are satisfying and the presentation of the dishes are nice to look at as well. I think this place is a great blend of unique food, ambiance, and hospitality. Workers were respectful and helpful. 5/5 would recommend and will surely visit again next time Im in California.

First off this is not comfort food. It is good food though. The dumplings are fantastic the crispy rice is amazing and the sushi is of very good quality. You do pay a little bit much for how much food your getting.I got sushi for 10 dollars and it was only six pieces. Very nice and friendly staff.

Food came out individually one by one. Ordered 2 - sushi rolls (late night & volcano) late night came out first and 17mins later volcano came. Then our meals came. Young chow fried rice NO BEEF was ordered, shrimp fried rice came out…. To the table beside us! Once corrected, We advised waiter there was no chicken and with a mask on, he bent down a good 1” from the plate stating there’s chicken and proceeded to stick his index finger not even I millimeter away from the food. At this point my husband tells the waiter Nevermind we will eat it but he proceeded to breathe and point directly in our food. I asked for the bill, saw the busser pass and asked him if he could have a new young chow no beef TO GO ordered. This was ordered correctly. 81$ later we left disgustedThe womens bathroom was utterly disgusting!!!! Well well well, let me tell you about this place! It is the best Asian place I have had since Ive been in LA so far. Ive been back twice so far. Ive eaten the fried rice (superb) crab wonton (superb) and the General Tso type chicken (fire). They have awsome drinks and the staff is very polite.The atmosphere was nice the place was clean.The portions are huge you will need a to go box. Large group from work went for dinner tonight at the Wokcano located at the Westfield Mall in Culver City. We ordered a lot of appetizers and entrees from the main menu. Overall, the food was ok. A Chinese restaurant located at the entrance of the mall. Its a good spot for some decent Chinese food but its expensive, happy hour is not really worth it and service can be challenging even when not busy. My favorite is the Mongolian beef and orange chicken. Its super fresh and always cooked perfectly. Main dishes are served on plates, so it can be shared by two people. The fried rice I dont recommend as it doesnt really taste that great. I prefer white rice with the main dishes.
