Just got done eating dinner here with 3 other friends. We are from out of state and we all agree, the food is delicious worth the price and the atmosphere was perfect. Our waiter was Mason! He was very friendly and he took great care of us! Definitely recommend!

I love wood ranch. Wood ranch is one of the best bar b que places around. This was my first time to this location it definitely did not disappoint. The food is very consistent from every location. Amanda was the best. She recommended bbq sauce on the rolls my life has changed forever. She had everything I needed at my table before I could even ask. I recommend wood ranch if you like bar b que. everything is fresh and delicious.

I can honestly say that my first time eating at this place was a fantastic one. The service was great, our waiter and the hostess were super friendly. The food was incredible, let me tell ya. My husband and I both ordered Ethans brisket sandwich. It was so flavorful, juicy, the Swiss and the slaw complimented the brisket so beautifully. It was like a party of flavor. Definitely one of the best sandwiches Ive had in a while. The rolls were good, but they were very garlicky and drenched in butter. I recommend eating here, most definitely.

What a great place you can smell the bbq from the freeway next door and thats the reason why I came in today and oh man the food was delicious! I recommend anyone to come try this place out your self you wont be disappointed. The bathroom were nice and clean the mens restroom also had a baby station,the staff was very kind and helpful.

Bad food - AWFUL, WORSE manager. Ordered 2 expensive steaks. One came & was 35% grizzle, inedible. Manager said that people who order ribeye (at $42.50 per steak) should expect grizzle. And he could only comp the iced tea ($3.85). What? would not even accept return of the lousy piece of meat. The other steak was okay, as in average, not great for the money. Theyve gotten too successful and dont care about customers.

Wood ranch is a local staple - food is amazing and so is the service. Reminds me of Kansas City BBQ exactly how it should be. Deserts are also great. Check them out next time you are in the neighborhood - you will enjoy their food.

WOW!!! Just WOW!!!I haven’t seen a Restaurant Manager so proactive like Mr. Brett! He greet me, he listened to me, he was cleaning, helping other coworkers and checking if all the customers were happy, like nonstop, going above and beyond! This man is a legend, and needs to be cared at all cost! Thanks for what you’re doing, and hope you can motivate others in the hospitality industry!Also, thanks to the waiter Jesse, he was kindly attentive and very professional, knowing very well the menu and giving recommendations, also checking that I was enjoying every meal, thanks Bro.!The food was EXCELLENT!!! Awesome spot for chicken tenders and a salad. There chicken tortilla soup is delicious and their garlic bread is addicting. Great customer service and a great spot in Calabasas.Love and recommend their Asian chicken salad with a side of pan seared salmon.***update***Tried their blackened sea bass & uncut tri tip. The sea bass was excellent, perfectly cooked and seasoned. I was expecting the tri tip to be cut but as a steak it was amazing.

I have been a customer of this restaurant now for a couple of years, but last week I ordered a salad that I usually ordered and it made me sick. Green diarrhea for 3 days.Obviously the person that puts together the ingredients did not wash the lettuce or used something that had some bacteria on it. I called up the restaurant the following day and talked with a woman who said she would forward this complaint. Its been a few days and I still havnt heard anything. She either forgot or they dont care. Its sad because usually I get good food there and have gone there many times. They could of least called me.

Great place for BBQ when Im in the area. The service was great and the BBQ was delicious. Sweeter than I would have liked but still good BBQ. Also, get the fried string onions, theyre my favorite. Wood ranch has been a staple of the community for over decades. It has always been a reliable restaurant for good service and good food. I rated it five stars 3 years ago. It appears another great restaurant is falling victim to post covid struggles. I am only posting this review and photos since this is the second time in a row that my take out order is unedible! The vegan Patty was basically so overcooked it disintegrated. The classic burger patty was as hard as leather, despite being requested medium. Both of the buns were burnt to a charcoal black. The rest of the order was just as much of a disaster. Youre better than this Wood ranch!

On a recent takeout order at the Agoura restaurant, our order arrived home with missing/inaccurate items. When we called the restaurant to inform them of the error, the manager apologized profusely for the mistake and actually sent the inaccurate items via the restaurant’s mobile catering! Amazing! Simply the best service ever! We have been going to this restaurant since its inception and are always pleased with the food, but we were astounded by the excellent service of the manager. Thank you! We will continue to be a very pleased customer!

Another HORRIBLE experience in west lake! Sat at the bar we had made reservations for 8:30 and came early n sat at the bar l. My bf and I ordered the SAME thing and of course mines comes our well done dry as hell and max n cheese and broc were cold meanwhile my bf is warm n tritip was juicy. I tell the bartender and she says oh yea I wouldn’t order that at night bc our kitchen closing (LIKE WHAT) why didn’t you say that when I ordered? She stood there laughing and smirking as I complained not even trying to make anything better. Service here was horrible you shouldn’t allow food orders if ur closing. They also have been cleaning since we sat down and if that’s the case on a FRIDAY night tell ppl kitchen closed bc this was not a good experience. We also ordered wings and they also came out cold but again we didn’t want to complain but that’s 2/2! Def won’t be back or recommend

This is a great place, and they are doing an amazing job with the outdoor patio dining. I think its the best patio dining weve ever experienced in this pandemic. The entire area is very well heated up with many many patio heaters. The food is excellent, prices are fair and the service is professional. Overall 10/10 experience.

Excellent bbq place. Outdoor dining area was nice and they nailed the ambiance with the picnic tables.Meats were all tender and the sauce has great flavor with a bit of heat on the back of the tongue. Price was great for the amount of food on the plates. Also came with nice fluffy rolls and we had the BBQ chicken potato skins appetizer, which is about the best way Ive ever had them.

We have been coming here for years and have a noticed a decline in quality of food and service on our last couple of dinners here.Server took our dessert order and didn’t clear the table even though he had nothing in his hands at that moment.He brought out the desserts, dropped them on the dirty table, and then left again, without clearing the table, with his hands empty. I tried to get his attention for a few minutes as he performed other duties, walking by our table multiple times with his hands empty.Five empty entrée plates, five empty bread plates, one empty bread basket, 1/2 eaten appetizer plate, five sets of cutlery, several used sauce cups and little bits of onion rings strewn across the table and somehow he thought it was okay for us to have dessert like that. After about 10 minutes I got his attention and asked to please have the table bussed. He walked away from me with empty hands and didn’t clear a single plate. He returned after 5 minutes and took 2 plates away.At this point, I ‘d had enough and went to speak to the manager. He listened to my concerns and said they would be addressed. When I return to the table, miraculously, it had been cleared.By that time the desserts were cold and the ice cream on them was melted into a milky soup.No one checked on the table to see if the desserts were OK or try to recover our business. Neither the server nor the manager checked back on us. No acknowledgment of the service lapse, no apology. I still left him an 8% tip to cover the federal income tax he will have to pay on our bill.At these prices, I expect at least the minimum standard of service. We sat on the patio at 830 pm. It was perfect! The lighting was great and the atmosphere was so nice. The food was awesome! We had strawberry lemonade and got the BBQ combos. Tri tip, pork ribs, beef ribs, pulled pork, baked beans, loaded mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, tri tip dip and a burger. It was delicious! Highly recommended the tri tip and ribs. The pulled pork was a little dry. The peach cobbler was delicious. They have wet wipes and this may seem weird but their water is really tasty. The buns were hot and fresh and buttery and garlicky...yum! All that food fed 7 adults and we had 3 to go trays. Our waitress was excellent and very attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend 👌

The food is always delicious...but a particular server, an older gentleman is hit or miss...he starts out strong when he approaches the table...the food took a very lonnnnnng time to be delivered and it wasnt even busy on the 4th.....I did ask for extra BBQ sauce for the salad in advance, but it wasnt on the plate...I did try to get this servers attention to no avail and finally walked up to server station to request more....as soon as the food is delivered there should be a 2 bite/2 minute check back at the table just to make sure everyone has what they need...if 10 minutes has to elapse and the server doesnt come over to check, then Im annoyed...especially when its NOT busy....checking back right when food is served is the most important part of the process of being a server....otherwise, food delicious.

We were sat down next to a bunch of other kids who wouldn’t sit down at their table and kept messing around. One was even crawling on the floor which is gross. I will start this review with the positives: we all enjoyed our food and our server Tajazee was very helpful, prompt and accommodating. My biggest issue is with the management at this establishment. I called about a week in advance to make a reservation for a party of 10 on a Saturday night at 6:30. I understand this is prime rush time, so made sure to make a reservation to ensure they could accommodate us. They said all was well and I called the day of to confirm the reservation. We arrived promptly at our 6:30 reservation time and were told it would be about a 10-15 minute wait as they were waiting for a couple of tables to get up. I didnt have much of a problem with this as I understand timing cannot be perfect on a busy weekend night, and we werent in a huge rush. We ended up waiting (and I am not exaggerating here) a full hour until our table was ready. Only was communicated with when we had to go back and ask what was going on several times. Hosts were friendly but received NO communication or apology from management about the excessive wait for our reservation. Additionally, we were brought to a table that was shoved up against a back wall on one side and another party on the other side. We are not big people but we could barely fit and hide to climb into the chairs (so we could not get up during the meal). This was even worse for the servers trying to serve both parties. I cannot believe how cramped it was back there. The two stars are given only for how well Tajazee was able to accommodate our party and make sure we were happy after the pitfall that was the management of this place. As good as the food was and as good as our server was, we will not be returning due to the poor management and communication.

I had the worst experience yesterday, we sat there for one hour and placed our order then after 40 min the waiter came back saying sorry we are out of ribs and i was busy and late to put your order, took another 30 min to get bread, then another 40 min to get a different order other than the ribs. I havent been to Wood Ranch in awhile, but it as always was absolutely delicious. I ordered the tri to, mac && cheese with Idaho bake potato. If youve never been here you need too. Their rolls are amazing! They dont sing Happy Birthday to you, but they do give you this sundae. Customer service was amazing, he was friendly and always checked on us. See even though places are busy, you can still get amazing customer service. Definitely will be back again. I wish they would bring a Wood Ranch to Central Cali.

I wish I would have known about thes excellent restaurants soon. Service and Waiter were outstanding. He made a mistake on the order and brought out Baby back ribs when I ordered Tri Tip. To my shock he said keep the Baby back ribs and ALSO the Tip tip at my extra charge 👍👌. What other restaurant would do that???? None. Extra tip$$$ for waiter. Agoura Hills restaurant is FANTASTIC value in so many ways. We will also try the OC version in the Irvine spectrum. We ordered pick up for Valentines Day/22 Anniversary. The ordering process was fine; put on hold several times while they checked availability of selections, which we appreciated. Of the 3 meals ordered, one entire meal was cold (veg burger wrap with sweet potato fries)- the patty had not been warmed up, fries cold - not even warm. Another, the side dishes were cold. (We picked up on time) Most disappointing were the desserts ordered - for Valentines Day - that they double checked availability when we ordered. Of the 3, only 2 were actually in the bag. Of the 2 we got, we only received part of each dessert, and quality questionable. Definitely NOT what as described on the menu. Photo attached of what was received for dessert. The red velvet cake looked like a red hockey puck, it had been put in the container upside down. The chocolate cake looked like a donut. No sauces, nuts, whipped cream, ice cream included. Just sad pucks in plastic containers. And only 2 - one missing entirely. We called and they were apologetic and said they would credit us for 2 desserts, which was ok, but still really disappointing that we werent told at time of ordering OR at the time of pick up, so we could stop on the way home and get something else for our celebration. So if you are going to pick up just meat items, you will probably get something wonderful and warm. If you want warm side dishes, anything edible for vegetarians in your party, or decent desserts - cant recommend.

When you have a sever with her capabilities you don’t even pay attention to time. Bravo Kristina. Stopped in in the middle of dinner rush on 12/6. First time returned to dine at Wood Ranch in its outdoor settings. Their BBQ is always excellent as usual and I had their tri-tip and babyback ribs. They tasted great and were very tender and juicy. Too bad that they did not have the tri-tip soup on Thursday which is another favorite of mine. I also missed the unlimited refill on sofa drinks at the current setting. Of all the times i’ve ordered food from Wood Ranch in Agoura, I have been extremely satisfied. From the ribs to the cole slaw, everything that is served at this restaurant is excellent. Especially the take out service that is phenomenal. Super easy to call in and order or order online. Veggie burger lettuce wrap (no bun) is a decent choice for non-meat eaters joining their friends at this meat centric establishment. Couple with a side of steamed asparagus for a healthy go-to meal. If youre flexible with your sugar intake the smashed sweet potatoes will seem like a dessert (they add a bunch of butter and sugar so definitely not a low calorie side). Enjoy!

Absolutely delicious BBQ, Food was exquisite and the menu rather vast, I got The Ultimate Burger, Burnt to a crisp pulled pork just how I like it, with a superb Kolbe Sasuage, add a little of their signature BBQ sauce and you are good to go. Will be coming here again not just for the food but the excellent service as well, my server Mark was on point with everything from making sure I was comfortable to making sure my cup never ran empty. Loved my experience here and cannot wait to return to try more off the menu.

Obviously Im going to rave about the BBQ, but this place is renowned for its sides as well. I love their peanut coleslaw and mashed sweet potatoes, which is what I normally get. Their bread is great, and of course, the tri-tip, baby back ribs, and beef ribs (amazing). There is typically a wait of 25-40 minutes when I come (around 6-630), but it often ends up being shorter. If it is a long wait, walk around to Whizin Market and browse the stores.

I arrived at the quoted time to pick up a meal at the little take out station by the main bar and I was passed by literally 20 crewmembers before I had to ask for help picking up my order. It was located and I was handed a check and not even so much as a thank you or any other pleasantries. The curbside service on July 10,2022 at 5:40 was horrible. I pulled up right next to the table where the food is waiting. I wasn’t greeted at all and they tried to not make eye contact while they sat and gossiped and complained about the job. I got out the car and said do I need to just get the food myself. Its no different here at Wood Ranch BBQ when I order. I used to think this place was some of the best BBQ Id ever eaten. That is until my son moved to Texas a few years ago and I started riding my bike there multiple times annually to visit. I cant honestly compare Wood Ranch BBQ with Texas BBQ; that wouldnt be fair.Now Ill say that this place is the best BBQ I ever ate until I went to Texas. And not everyone can or does go to Texas, so Wood Ranch is pretty damn good as City Slickers BBQ goes. The service here is also pretty good, and the prices are reasonable. They are following COVID-19 regulations, and everyone wears masks and gloves.The take out can be a bit of a wait, but its well worth it. I highly recommend Wood Ranch BBQ for anyone within driving distance to Agoura Hills or visitors like myself, who used to be a regular here when I lived in the area.

Tender, sumptuous, smokey barbeque. The beef ribs were outstanding. The brisket was pull-apart perfect. The pulled pork was too smokey for my taste, but the texture and moisture content of the pork was spot-on. The filet was well-seasoned, cooked perfectly and kissed with the right amount of wood smoke. As for the side dishes, Im a big fan of their tangy peanut coleslaw!!! It provided the perfect acidic balance to the fatty-smokey richness of the beef rib and brisket. The French fries also did a good job of providing balance to the meal. Great Place. First time here. Right from walking in. Our party (six) had come in at different times. Hostess greeted us right as we entered. She Knew exactly where our party was seated, she was personable as well. Brought us right to the table.Ashley did a fantastic job. Very professional, very attentive.We had multiple request during dinner. Never did a request have to be asked for twice. The Tables were busy last night also. Ashley made great suggestions for appetizers. Drinks served right away. During the entire dinner, no one had to request a drink refill before Ashley had already taken care of it.Food was fantastic. Tri Tip Dinner, the Bread, the Famous Onions Shreds. All great tasting. BBQ sauce was yummy.Food was also delivered in very favorable timing. You really got a sense that Woods Ranch has a Smooth Operation among its employees. Made for a relaxing enjoyable time .My niece had the vegan burger which she seemed very happy with. Great to know that Woods Ranch can accommodate multiple palettes as well.When I visit in town again, this is definitely a top first choice.Coming from a Cust Service background. There are times when you notice the lack of good old fashioned Cust Serv. This being such an opposite and Positive Experience. I’ve been coming here for close to a decade even propose to my wife after eating here not saying something in the food is going to make you fall in love but it’s pretty great. The service however deserves it’s own description whether you’re sitting down or you’re getting take out people bust their *** here to get you served quickly and sort out any problems you might have. For example tonight I made an online purchase which I despise doing and sure enough the one time I do send the order to Northridge instead of where it supposed to be and so I had At least three people assisting me until I figured out what it happened and in the time that it took to sort out the issue my entire order was ready to go and I could’ve been there more than six minutes. They could’ve given me a hassle rolled her eyes or just not served me because after all it was my own screwup but they got me out of there in record time. The food of course is why we come back and I have around for dishes that are my favorite. Just the smell is enough to send you into euphoria kind a like the smell of a movie theater when you were a kid. Unless of course you’re a vegetarian in which case why are you reading this.

Went there to get tri-tip and they didnt disappoint. Went with a group of 7 and had a great time with ole friends. Being from Florida where we are much more open it was a little bit of a shock how restrictive CA still was on Nov 2 2020, but they did the best they can. I dont know if it CA rule or Wood Ranch BBQ rule but I was kinda upset that they gave up a 90 min time line. Now if its because of long waits I get it. Around 60 was the last time I was offered a drink refill. But when we left at the 81 min mark, Yes I kept track if was less then half full. We could have stayed and drank a few more beers and the our waiter would have earned more tip money, Just sayin!

Recently went and got The Ultimate burger/sandwich. Brisket, pulled pork, kielbasa, slaw, onion strings, melted Swiss cheese over a toasted Brioche bun. The wait on a Friday evening for 2 people was doable even though it appeared crowded. Atmosphere is always energetic, most staff are helpful, and the food is always top notch. Cant get too many of those garlic rolls, yum!

This is the go-to BBQ spot in the area. Get the shredded onion rings, they are a must have. The free appetizer buns are also really good - recommend dipping them into the Woodranch BBQ sauce for a tasty appetizer. Careful though, its easy to get carried away on the buns and shredded onion rings, thus not having any space for the main course.Out of all the meats, I recommend the ribs. Get a nice rack of ribs and split it among your group.

I love Woodranch BBQ chopped chicken salad and our family has been ordering it (particularly to go) for several years. But every once in awhile the chicken is sparse on it. Please make sure that there is consistently adequate large chunks of chicken in every order! Their beef brisket has got to be the best beef brisket I have ever had the pleasure to eat. I had their beef brisket Ruben sandwich with smoked Tillamook cheese and thousand island dressing on a grilled bun. It was simply delicious. Their lemonade is actual real lemonade and not only delicious but very refreshing as well. This is a large restaurant and is quite popular at lunchtime with employees from the local businesses around Calabasas and the South side of Thousand Oaks. Even though they do get a good sized lunch crowd, the large size of the restaurant ensured that we did not have to wait to be seated. They have large comfortable booths here which allow you and your party to really spread out and get comfortable even if you have quite a few people in your party. Our server was very friendly and attentive and even ensured that a new lemonade would magically appear literally at the moment I was drinking the last of what was left in my glass in front of me. It was a totally enjoyable lunch for everyone in my party and I highly recommend this place if you are in the area and find yourself craving good BBQ. There is plenty of free parking at Whizin Square and you can even feel comfortable bringing the kids since this is a very family friendly restaurant.

Wood Ranch is one of our classic go to spots. The food is amazing! Whether you dine in or take out it is a great experience. Can be a long wait at dinner rush times, especially Friday and Saturday evenings, but totally worth it.The barbecue is why you go here. The barbecue sauce has to be my favorite barbecue sauce Ive ever eaten. Tangy and delicious.I always order the couple things below:- BBQ Chopped Salad (w/Chicken or Tri Tip): I never order salads at restaraunts as a meal, but this salad is hands down the most delicious salad Ive ever eaten!- Chicken breast with baked potato and mac & cheese: The chicken is cooked well and with the barbecue sauce makes it amazing. The baked potato is my favorite baked potato at any restaurant. The mac & cheese is seriously creamy and delicious. Its very filling.I would steer clear of the steaks here though. Go for the barbecue and get the barbecue. The two times Ive gotten steaks here were highly disappointing.They also have great garlic roles, which I have sworn off eating because they are highly addictive and you will end up eating 3-4 and adding 600 calories to your daily intake without hardly realizing it.Bottom line: if you havent been here, then you are missing out on some fabulous barbecue. Get one of the recommendations or anything in the barbecue section and you wont be disappointed.

Very disappointed...service very slow...rolls came about 20 minutes after we were seated. When food came a different waitress delivered food and put it down quickly and hurried away. When I looked down I had the wrong salad...took about 5 minutes to get anyones attention to fix the mix up. Waitress came back and said they found my salad after 5 more minutes..no apology or anything. We were never offered more rolls finally had to ask for more after we were almost finished eating. No one ever asked how everything was etc. Chopped chicken salad not what it used to be...less chicken..like 10 black beans and 4 kernels of corn...had to really search for anything but lots of chopped lettuce! Bummer! We will not be back!

I know this place is just a chain, but time and again, Ive been thoroughly grossed-out by their food. Their BBQ ribs are just OK - theyre smoked (not boiled, it seems), but theyre usually dry and not fall off the bone tender. Kinda tough and chewy, actually. What REALLY grosses me out is how they put SUGAR in EVERYTHING. Im serious! Their mashed sweet potatoes are BEYOND sweet. Too sweet - there must be a TON of added sugar. The baked beans are WAY too sweet. The peanut cole slaw is sweet... Even their Mac and Cheese side is gross - SWEET, sticky and the macaroni is undercooked. Who the hell puts SUGAR in Mac and Cheese? Just rename this place the We Put Sugar in Everything BBQ and Grill.

Took the wife here for lunch yesterday. The place is pretty big with a full bar. The building has been in Agoura forever. Was originally a Whizens restaurant turned bar, turned into JRs place cowboy bar, turned strip joint, turned into gay bar and now for the last 20 years or so its been a restaurant again.Place has been totally remodeled very nicely. Prices were great and the service was fantastic! We ordered the pulled pork sliders for lunch with a Caesars salad and one side dish. Thats their lunch special/package. was like $13.00 each. Very very tasty and will be coign back again.

Bartenders are great and very nice. Its a hip place to go and chill. I was alone and had no problem having a conversation with the couple next to me. Food is good.
