We stopped by for lunch at Wood Ranch and were very pleased. I had the BBQ Tri tip, we also had the Asian salad, the chopped salad, and a burger. Everyone was very pleased with the service and the quality of the food. Service was quick and attentive. Food came out prepared correctly. I only wish that had a little more options on the temperatures for the tro tip. It is offered medium and up while I prefer mine meat medium rare at the most. All in all this is an excellent restaurant and would definitely go back.

Located right off the 101 freeway, upscale barbecue restaurant Wood Ranch has consistently served up Camarillos best food for years. Speaking as a native Southern foodie--who grew up 100 miles from New Orleans and who has lived in Texas, South Carolina and close to Memphis--Id rank their ribs, pulled pork, etc. right up there with the best. Not to mention an enticing array of sides, such as tangy peanut cole slaw, fluffy baked potatoes always freshly cooked, and The Very Best sweet potato fries around. Lunch specials include fun foods like beef and pork sliders, and their creative salads and chicken tortilla soup are great for lighter appetites. No matter what you choose, dont say no to their signature garlic rolls! Their wine selection is excellent, offering a carefully curated selection of Californias best wine values. On Tuesdays they place all wines on 30% discount, and they now offer 10% off glasses of all their wines during weekday happy hour from 3-6! There are three seating areas: indoor booths with subdued lighting, bar with booths and bistro tables, and a double-decker semi-enclosed heated patio (our favorite). But dont be fooled by the burgers and bbq, this is a fine dining restaurant with excellent service offered in a casual atmosphere--the best of all worlds.

Excellent family restaurant, Im pretty sure I ordered the Carolina pulled pork with mashed potatoes and coleslaw on the side, They serve garlic bread with bbq sauce as an appetizer and it was very good. The mashed potatoes didnt come with gravy but it was still flavorful. The lemonade came in a sugar coated glass and was a pleasant non alcoholic drink

We ordered the ‘Carolina Pulled Pork’ and ‘Beef Ribs.’ The pulled pork was tender and flavorful, with a accompanying sauce which was not overpowering, with only a hint of the traditional Carolina-style vinegar bbq sauce. It was well done. No question this was the best pulled pork I’ve had, even when compared with authentic, Eastern North Carolina ‘pig pickin’ style bbq.The beef ribs were just right, with plenty of tender meat and a great bbq sauce.We were served unusual, sourdough rolls with (you guessed it) a flavorful barbecue sauce.The restaurant interior is finished with a rich wood interior, with plenty of expansive seating. The bar area has additional booth and table seating as well as bar area seats. This evening, bar area TVs were tuned to the Dodgers. Good selection of name-brand and house draft beers.Plenty of parking adjacent to the restaurant as well as a separate entrance for take-out orders.Based on our visit, this Wood Ranch location deserves a much higher rating on Google based on food selection and quality, atmosphere and service.We will definitely be back to Wood Ranch on our next trip to Camarillo!

Im not a meat eater, but my wife enjoyed the tri tip. I ordered barbecued chicken very much. The side orders and salads were delicious. Our service was spot on and very friendly. It was a relaxing atmosphere. I also loved the rolls they brought. I look forward to visiting Wood Ranch Camarillo again very soon.

Food is delicious! You start off with some buttery bread which I recommend you ask for a side of bbq sauce and buffalo sauce so you can dip every now and than. The bread is 🤌🏼🔥.Swing by during happyhour and sit in their bar area for some good deals. I recommend ordering the steak cooked medium. You can’t go wrong with their mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. The bbq chicken salad is another favorite of mine. My daughter enjoys their ribs and Mac.Great service and friendly staff.

We went to the area to visit a friend who came by. The restaurant was on the nicer and more expensive side. We got seated quickly even though it was around the usually busy dinner time, and we got an outside table too, which was good. They had the tables kinda separated because of covid, but it was pretty full. I got the wood ranch steak, my friend got rib-eye with asparagus and and another got a sandwich. They were all good, I really enjoyed my steak. I chose the 7oz and it was perfect for me as I usually dont eat a lot, but for sure not enough for a bigger guy; theres another option for 10oz though, and it comes with 2 signature sides. The staff was nice, they came to our table several times to ask if we needed anything else, and when we asked for extra bread/tea/water, they brought those fast too. Overall it was a nice dinner there, I will come back if I go in town again.

Went to meet family and friends for dinner. I ordered a green salad that had very little chicken in it and had pecans and some cheese that looked like blue cheese. I was not happy with my salad I dont like blue cheese and the candied pecans were burnt so I couldnt even eat them. Then when I saw the price I was like wow they put there own tip in there for you instead of you putting your own tip in there. I wont go there again I paid 28.00 for a salad that was not very good and left a bunch of it on my plate.

When it comes to sitting down to eat, service means everything. Our server was there to be a server and nothing else; she didnt care what we had to say aside from what we wanted to order. Their cocktails are nothing special that will wow- in fact, stay away from the Smokey the Bear (tasted like aged berry). Of the six items pictured, the Chicken Tortilla Soup was my personal favorite- one of the sides that came with my meal. The WR Butter Cake was nothing special either. I may or may not eat here again... I just dont know.

Loving their juicy and delicious tri-tip and baby back ribs. We always love to pickup their $100+ family meals but went there for a quick snack. Their tri-tip is even better in the restaurant hot out of the kitchen, we usually wait to drive it home from Oxnard. Great service from waiter and the manager had taken care of us regarding a order error in the past. Overall great service and awesome food. 😊👍🏻

I was expecting a bit more in terms of steak selection, but wanted a good flavorful steak so I chose the ribeye. It was the priciest option. They offer fresh guacamole but when I requested no onions they could not do it, so much for fresh made. We were provided biscuits with some sweet BBQ sauce which was different but the buns were hot and delicious. The steak was good, not sure it was $50 good but good. Baked potato was good too. Overall, it was ok. Unfortunately there are chain steakhouses that are doing it better for less. We enjoyed our meal but there wasnt anything that would make us run back.

This is the second time Ive been sick from wood ranch And so I thought Id warn others. I used to love this restaurant. I would eat there at least once a week. The last 6 months or so the food has been horrible. Either its overcooked or not cooked enough. The ribs they gave us were boiled And my dog wouldnt even eat them. I wish they would go back to the way they were. I dont think Ill be eating there again anytime soon. Please be careful. I dont know if its new management or them trying to save money by hiring people that dont know what theyre doing but they need to change it up. If not a new barbecue place is going to come to town and put them out of business.

Ordered takeout tonight for 8 people ( 3 children and 5 adults). We ordered the VALUE PACK for 8 people. It was so delicious and there were plenty of leftovers. We called in the order and it was ready at the exact time we were given for pickup. There are plenty of staff to assist with take out orders. Everything felt very organized. Full rack of ribs had the bare bones showing through the top of the meat. Chicken breast was the size of a large egg.Last time I will be supporting this restaurant.

Today I ordered steak medium well and it came bloody as for one of my sides steamed Broccoli it came with black rot on the stems and most of the crowns! I returned them and didnt want a replacement or money taken off my tab, the manager came to the table and asked if everything was fine and I told her she told me some story of how that was safe to eat I didnt argue! But working in the food business I was trained on safety and sanitation and food appearance and was trained in the field and told if the food doesnt look good enough to serve your own family then dont serve it ! When I first came to this location a year or so ago, it was not good. I ordered brisket and had to send it back bc they served me dry and burnt portions. Very odd. Then I came back for a birthday dinner and what a difference! I have never ordered the tri tip here but heard good things about it so I got the combo plate with Tri tip and baby back ribs. Now let me tell you about the tri-tip... holy smokes! This thing was so tender! I couldnt believe it was tri-tip! It was so good I kept saying wow, this tri-tip is amazing, with every bite I took. Im definitely ordering the tri-tip when I go back. And of course the free garlic bread rolls are always so yummy and addicting. One of them though had so much butter or oil, that I could squeeze it out of the bread. Luckily that was a one off. Oh and the bartender heavy poured my jameson and ginger ale which idk is a bad thing bc I felt like I got more bang for my buck and I only needed one drink to get that nice buzz. It starts with a generous portion of Caesar salad with the right amount of cheese and croutons on a crisp bed of lettuce and a great dressing. Food was good. You will never go wrong with the tri-trip at Wood Ranch. I made the mistake of ordering the brisket. Big disappointment. Over cooked no bark on the outside of brisket and couldnt taste the rub. But it was tender . Its more to the liking if the Senior citizens. Also I made the mistake of ordering my broccoli grill. Came out tasteless but I do admit its my fault for ordering it that way. The same goes for the brisket its not my cup of tea. And I shouldnt compare it to the tri-trip. A total different dish

Both the food and service were great! There was a long line and plenty of people ahead of us. We were told it would be a 20 to 30 minute wait. We were pleasantly surprised that the wait was only about 15 minutes. I believe our servers name was Hailey. She did a great job! I got take out here after a long drive through the reason. The take out window service is fast and friendly. I had to call in the order because I couldnt get the online order to process. Theres parking right in front of the take out counter which makes for a quick run to pick up and get out.I got the ribs, Mac and cheese and broccoli. Added a side order Cesar salad. They offered me some garlic rolls, say yes because theyre delicious. The ribs were ok, the Mac and cheese was so thick it was like paste. We each have our own preference to Mac and cheese and this didnt do it for me.

What a great happy hour menu! Been to the one in ventura and wasnt a fan. Came to this one and the experience was much better. Service was great. Tri tip was really good. Loved the appetizers for 5 to 8 dollars for happy hour. Server even recommended some things and ways to share. The balsamic shrimp were a little small but very tasty! We used Wood Ranch Catering at a 50th wedding anniversary party in Thousand Oaks.The pricing is very reasonable. The food was excellent as expected, but the service is what really sets Wood Ranch apart. The catering staff were on time, friendly, and efficient - and went above and beyond, proactively offering to help with things beyond the scope of catering (e.g. offering to help take photos, etc). I placed an order for pickup around noon, for a 3:15 pickup time. I arrived at 3:00, called to let them know I was there, at 3:25 still no service. I wrote to Wood Ranch via their webpage, after a day, I still had no reply. So I wrote an email to the executives. I received an email from CEO Eric Anders that said he saw my original email the day I sent it, but passed it on to a manager that was off for a couple of days! Imagine a CEO that doesn’t pick up the phone to find out why they were out of a popular product by 3:00. Imagine a CEO that doesn’t call that manager and tell him to contact the customer immediately and make it right. No, this CEO’s answer to customer service is to push it on to someone else, not his problem. How many customers dropped $100-200 on a meal that day, only to be told they were out of dessert. How disappointing. This is what Wood Ranch calls customer service. And they just don’t care.

The food was quite honestly flawless. Best Mac and Cheese I think I have ever had, bit the staff put quite a sour taste in my mouth before hand. I had put down my party of ten and was told it would be 10-15 minutes. A different party decided to take one of the tables they were preparing for us. They did nothing about it, they said that we would just have to deal with it essentially, but in a polite manner.

Loved the tri-tip, rolls, broccoli and more. Great service from the staff. We had 13 in our party. Everyone was happy with what they ordered. We will be going back the next time we are back to visit family.

Okay so a few weeks ago I dine in and was served by Robin. She was outstanding, the hospitality, kindness, and friendliness was off the charts. The food was delicious it was served promptly and it was tasty. The seating area is clean and sanitized. Even their water is refreshing.And today (December 4th 2021) we decided to come in again due to the marvelous experience with Robin, we were honored to have Rhianna as our server. Hi Rhianna! (Waving hand) her voice is soft, was kind, had knowledge on the menu items, and suggested a few things from the menu. Rhianna was patient with my husband, he was not so sure on what to order (smh lol) Rhianna really knows how to treat customers. And thanks for Robin and Rhianna you bet we will be back!You know to this pandemic we dont go out much so when we go out we really really enjoy when we have a great waitress great food great atmosphere so this was a 10 out of 10 night for us now we get to go home Netflix and chill but the full belly.

Love the BBQ served here- especially the tri-tip. Even the sides are well done too, although it seems like they changed the recipe on the baked beans and I much preferred the previous way they made them. Now the tomato flavor is a bit overwhelming. Staff is always friendly, service is prompt and overall I enjoy eating here and utilizing their take out option

Amazing food. You will be addicted to the bread rolls. Fantastic tri tip. If you enjoy ice tea they have the best. Great peach cobbler with granola top.

Sat at bar and I must say it was extremely clean with a very nice feel to it.The service was just okay nothing special that stood out in my mind.The food my friend was eating was a fabulous Tri Tip plate. I ordered a burger recommended by the bartender and it sucked. Nothing great about this burger pretty dry and a bit bland. But not the bartenders fault she obviously had a much different palate than mine.Will visit again and try other beef plates.

The servering people working were Outstanding, Friendly, Polite. We had to wait a short time because of the Covid-19 situation and all they were able to do is fit the people out on the smaller patio with proper distancing in masks, they were very polite and very helpful nothing on them, they did everything right. I had the mac/cheese, 14 oz steak and it was an excellent it was a Beauty, Flavorful and very large enjoyable was one the Best steaks Ive had in a couple years.

Found this restaurant by chance. A little slow at first with getting a menu as I sat in the bar at a high top. However once I had a menu and order was taken I was surprised at how fast the food came out. Had one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I have had outside the south. Good service and Excellent food. Will go back next time Im in the area.

We have been going to Wood Ranch since it 1st started in Moorpark. The prices have at least doubled and the portions are at least half the original size. However, the service remains top notch.

Pretty good except for the brisket. Brisket ok but I have been exposed to phenomenal brisket so I could be skewed. Feel bad because inflation was clearly present. Eat local and support these places. No more chains.

Enjoyed the Baby back ribs with the mashed potatoes and salad. It was enough for lunch the following day. I have to recommend the spicy bbq sauce. Youll have to ask for it as they dont bring it out unless you do. If you enjoy some heat this is the perfect topper for the ribs.

Nice enough atmosphere and bar selection here to earn three stars. Overpriced for the service and food I received on my visit. The visit occurred on a Thursday evening in December around 7PM.The place was not extremely busy but I still had to wait 20 minutes before the server took my drink order. I ordered my food at the same time as the drink since there was more than sufficient time to browse the menu. After this, I didnt see my server or my drink until after the food was delivered. The food that did come was mediocre; a couple slices of fatty brisket, luke-warm steamed vegetables and a side of unspectacular mac-n-cheese.Already impatient, I decided to skip dessert here and pick it up somewhere else instead.

Great food. We get pork and beef ribs. They are always good. It close to motel 6. We get ribs for are dig. She loves them too. We enjoy wood ranch here and also in Woodland hills too.

Not sure why this place is so busy..prices are a bit outrageous..we went for Happy Hour but prices still high..$12 for a glass of wine? Not very happy so we didnt bother to stay.

We celebrated a special dinner on June 13, everyone had a great time, I personnaly I thought my trip was too small even when I ordered the smaller portion, the flavor did not impress me, the corn was extremely unappealing barely any on it, nothing like the ones I remember eating there in the past and I should not have ordered roasted broccoli, the steamed one should have been better. Dont underestimate this place, I still enjoyed it very much, maybe it was just me. And it really worked for our extra errand we had to run while the rest went ahead to start the waiting process.

This place is amazing. You can never go wrong with coming here. They have awesome food, a good selection of beer and the service is great. The staff is always checking up on you to make sure all your needs are fulfilled and your glass is never empty. I will definitely be back soon.

Yum! We went with a party of two on a Wednesday evening around 5pm. We had no wait. I got the tri tip with mac and cheese and mashes sweet potatoes. Super flavorful tender meat, delicious potatoes. The mac and cheese was pretty good. I would come back for sure! The complimentary garlic rolls were lovely!

After a great afternoon shopping in the outlets, we were looking for a great place to have dinner. Saw this place across the freeway, so decided to give it a try. Was not disappointed. Started with a half-order of chips and guacamole, which turned out be a good call. The guacamole was simple, just avocado, lemon, and salt, but the portion size was huge! I cant imagine what we would have done had gone with a regular sized order.Our main dishes were the St. Louis Style Ribs with steamed broccoli and corn on the cob, and BBQ chicken with sweet potato fries and broccoli. This definitely hit the spot. The ribs were very meaty and perfectly spiced. The BBQ sauce on the chicken was also on point, and the sweet potato fries really brought it home. Some of the best Ive ever had.This is just a all-around solid place, and would definitely recommend you come here if you are in the mood for some BBQ.

This is absolutely the most awesome bbq restaurant around. The Food is delicious. The service is better than anywhere else. They have a full service bar. Its a perfect date place ... If you cant eat bbq with a date you definitely cant take them home to mom 🤠... Its also a great place for the family ... Oh yeah and they offer catering too.

Their sauces are somewhat sweet overall, but other than that, I loved the foods we had. We had BBQ combos with different options but my best choice would be their brisket and tri tip (under BBQ menu).
