This is my 3rd time here, and I live in Phoenix, AZ. I was so excited that my husband is here with me this time so he can finally eat what Ive been raving about. Hes Mexican, loves Mexican food, and we were up for mariscos this morning. Xecora really reminds me of our trips to Mexico. The food, drinks, everything was great. Thank you for making it a great end to our CA weekend trip! Cant wait to go back.

Loved the food and the Aguas Frescas. The place Decor is beautiful too. I had the Carne Asada Plate with handmade Corn Tortillas. My mom had a Breakfast Plate, the Chilaquiles Rojos and Eggs. I loved the Agua de Pepino con Limon. Also that Salsa they serve with the Chips is great. Will need to revisit this place again & hopefully soon.

This restaurant is in a Mexican-inhabited area, the transportation is very convenient, there is a gas station at the door, and there are plenty of parking spaces. The interior decoration is very Mexican-style, and the plants at the door are also from Mexico. The two Mexican oil paintings in the room are very beautiful, as if in Mexico. The hall here is very spacious, the indoor lighting is not very bright, the color of the light is yellowish, and there are many dining seats. The dishes here taste very authentic, and my children and I like it very much.

If I tell you, you wont believe, one of the best delicious meals i have ever had!We order ofrenda del mar, (hot creamy seafood mix) ceviche sinaluense, tacos governador, taco de chicharron de Pulpo, oysters, all food presentation was incredible and exotic! food itself was delish..And for drinks we had Huichol curse, tamarind spell, very berry mojito, xecora, and a michelada, all drinks were phenomenal, in taste, and savory.Ingredients are super fresh, organic and they have vegetarian options. This defines gastronomic food!Will definitely coming back, i recommend 1000%Great location, great food and great service!

The food is exquisite! I ordered octopus tacos, the secretaria, stuffed shrimp bacon & fish tacos. The flavors are very unique. The seafood soup was very good. The chips and salsa 👌the salsa has a smoky flavor. I ordered the cucumber/chia tequila drink, loved it. The inside is cool and colorful, little dark inside.

This place has some amazing tacos! Normally when you think of tacos, you think of street tacos but this place truly elevated those $1 tacos to another level. I opted to try the of three tacos: pastor, Ensenada Style with Fish, and Volcan with pastor. All three came out nice and hot on freshly made corn tortillas. The tortillas are soft, except the Volcan, which came out on a crispy shell. Honestly, I wouldve ordered more and stuff my face l but since all tacos were generously portioned, I couldnt have another bite.Another thing my friends and I enjoyed were their tortilla chips and salsa; we couldnt get enough that we asked for it twice. However, it was a bit too salty for my taste but still delicious.Ill definitely come back for more in the future. Try this out if youre in the neighborhood or want dinner really good tacos, you wont be disappointed.

This place has terrible service. It was slow and yet had to wait an hour for my food to arrive. Waitress kept passing me without a care. A family came in after me and got their food before me. The food itself was decent but way overpriced.

Fresh Otopus Ceviche, great presentation and interesting favor combinations. Really like the colorful interior, it is a happy place to eat and enjoy seeing many creative ideas throughout the restaurant. Definitely one of the great restaurant in the area, hipster invasion is coming to El Monte.Absolutely five stars from my experience.

We’ve been coming here specifically for the sinaloense ceviche, it’s pricer than other places, which we were originally okay with but recently we placed an order for 3 ceviches for $82.79 for the smallest portion. We definitely won’t be coming back, (& it wasn’t a mistake I went in and asked if this was the Large & they confirmed) all the previous times we’ve gone it was a deeper container with more ceviche, but for $27 a piece this seemed like such a rip off, it’s not $27 worth for that portion in my opinion but to each their own (mens wallet for reference)

Ok tbis place is very interesting. The decor is very neat in terms of being corful and every table colorful along with colorful chairs dont dont match. That makes it extra fun. The art is also very nice, very traditional to a state in Mexico might be Oaxaca but Im leaning more to being the State of Guerrero but I can be wrong. The food is great. I ordered a dish that came with bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with Marlin and some vegetables 😋👌. You can also order the Matlin stuffed Shrimp as a taco 🌮 so you will definitely not go wrong. I order an Agua de piña/pineapple water, it was very good. I’m leaving disappointed. Mixology is good and so are chips and salsa. But the food didn’t impress me. I had ceviche agasajo at the waitresss recommendation. It lacked flavor, but most importantly, it didnt feel fresh. Especially the octopus.

I stoped by for lunch, I walked in I made eye contact with the girl working the bar, I proceeded to set a a table and waited, after 5 min I got up and got myself a menu, I waited an other 5 min. 2 people working there saw me, but never said we be with you in a moment or any other words at all. They only had 2 other customers in the whole restaurant, and it was in the middle of the lunch hour. So after an other 5 minutes I left. It it was a waste of a trip

Such a great place and everyone especially Alex was exceptionally kind and provided the best of service. It may seam a bit pricey at first glance but you will leave not only full but happy you tasted such well crafted food and drinks.The Ceviche with octopus is now my gold standard, which I reluctantly ordered in fear that the octopus would leave me disappointed like it does at most places due to its less fresh or on the edge of being a bit gummy in firmness. I was so wrong, it had the creaminess of firm cream cheese.Also you need to get the Shrimp with heads, so many good flavors in those delicious bugs.I dont recommend many places but my friends that enjoy good sea food will be getting an earful from me very soon about this place.Sorry, no pics of what I ate but there are already alot of good photos of there items already.

Vegan food was fantastic. Visually and taste wise one of the best renditions of vegan Mexican food Ive had in a long time. I love how they took their time to make it perfect. We ordered appetizers and a main dish. The appetizers came first and awhile after we finished they brought the main. Very well coursed. I hope they did that on purpose, Ive only been here once lol.The place is very charming. Eventhough it is under construction (I think they are expanding?) It looks clean and neat.Service could have been better, the server definitely didnt want to be there.I will be back to taste some more.

You order by the phone to go and they ask you for your card . I asked to pay cash when i get to the restraunt and they said i have to order when i get there . Bad service over all. Went here on the basis of reviews and I impressed. Was a little worried due to the location, but like they say dont judge a book by its cover! We ordered about 10 seperate items off the menu, just so we could try everything. Seafood tasted fresh and boy was it flavorful. We also had some Carne which was also great. We ended up taking a lot home, 2 people can only eat so much and the servings were huge. I would definitely recommend this place.

The food is ok, the langostinos were just ok. I couldnt taste the beer in the oister shots, all I could taste was the over powering chamoy and what ever that sweet juice it had. The reason why I gave it 2 stars is the price and service. The waitress was kind of snobby and rude I dont like to be forced to tip someone that I think doesnt deserve it. We only order 3 items of the menu and paid $120 dollars $$ way over price. Becareful with the squid it doesnt have a price on the menu for a reason.

2 stars are for the wait. We had reservations and were seated on time. We waited over 30 mins to order our drinks. Once we ordered our food, it took over 1 hour to be served. The food is unique and taste good but not worth waiting for. I did inquire about the long wait when I paid $$$, they said 1 cook, 1 waitresses, 1 bartender were out. They did not expect the demand for the day. My advice call and ask them about the service wait. If you get there and are hungry you might be eating a couple of chip baskets. We were there mid week Tuesday evening.

Let me tell you something. Just come here. A review wont give you the entire experience of just how AMAZING the food is. Mexican seafood is normally not something I crave so when I tried this place, I didnt expect much. Now its one of my absolute favorite places to go. My sister doesnt even like shrimp but somehow this restaurant was able to convert her.I recommend the ceviche dishes because they are ABSOLUTELY to die for. The best ceviche I have ever had. My mouth waters just thinking about it and I wish I had more!Spiciness Rating: Moderate-HighIf you dont have a tolerance for spicy food, Id stay away from anything that has house spices. I LOVE spicy food and there dishes made me order multiple glasses of water. So be prepared if you want that extra kick, but its definitely worth it! The spiciness of the food doesnt take away from the flavor!Health Rating: Moderate-HighMost hole in the wall Mexican seafood restaurants dont have the freshest fish nor do they have many healthy options. Rest easy knowing that their seafood is fresh and you can definitely taste the quality. I recommend the octopus dishes! Id expect this if a place was busy, but I have been here three separate times with varying levels or business and its still a hassle to get their attention. There were only six tables seated and many servers but it still took multiple times to get a cup of water. Normally thats fine for me but not when my tongue is burning- While I would normally bump a star down for service, I cant do that! I review this restaurant a year ago and give them 5 starts, sadly I have to edited my review, so now the restaurant is bigger with a new addition/remodel but food is now double the price literately I used to love the taco menu it was pricey but tacos were special now is 10 dollars per taco at the end bill was double the prize I used to paid. I am not coming back to this place anymore, I can go to a steak house or Japanese barbecue instead.

Simply the best seafood in all of El Monte, possibly even the entire San Gabriel Valley! I wish I could eat here every day. IT IS THAT GOOD.The food and beverage selections are top tier. Ive had everything on the menu and I mean EVERYTHING. The only dish I didnt like was the zarandeado filet. I simply cannot justify the cost and taste (or lack therof) of that particular plate. Maybe it was an oversight by the cook or maybe it was a new guy cooking it when I ordered, but I wont be ordering that dish again anytime soon. One bad dish shouldnt define an entire restaurant (especially if all the other food is excellent), so Im giving this place 10/10. Please improve the zarandeado recipe/preparation.

I can totally understand it being covid and all having a shortage of staff and unable to have an abundance of certain items. Also the staff was very kind and prompt buyI was disappointed with the quality of the food. We had two different baskets of very stale chips. And we came here for the tacos because we read the reviews saying they had good tacos but they were very subpar again the tortillas were stale and the meat had a very weird smell and just didnt taste right. But thankfully the fish taco was really good. Just didnt eat the tortilla for the fish taco. The quality of food was not good at all. Very disappointed

Got to the restaurant at 8PM for a quick dinner with my family. After waiting for about 5 minutes at the door, we were approached by a waiter who greeted us “can I help you?” I was confused by his question but responded that we wanted a table for 3, he quickly and rudely told us that they were closed because apparently they had an “incident” in the kitchen. What I found interesting was that the restaurant was busy and guests were still eating and food was still coming from the kitchen. They probably wanted to close early and leave right at 9 but whatever the reason they turned us away. Since we were in the mood for Mexican food, we decided to go to another restaurant in Whittier which was great. I suggest that you avoid the disappointment and go eat elsewhere. I will never eat here and will tell others not to as well.

This place is definitely trying to infuse culture and food. Love going here, but gosh, its expensive. I cant often justify spending $4-5 on tacos, but I guess every now and again its worth it.Food selection is cool. Ordering online is confusing as hell. GrubHub doesnt have all of the actual menu offerings. Servers over the phone are a pain to work with at times, but in the end theyll make it right.Beautiful women behind the counter. Tip of my cap to them - they do great work .Been here a number of times, tried almost everything. I stick to the tacos mainly as everything else isnt sized well for the price. At least the tacos are a pretty decent size and the gobernador tacos are absolutely delicious.

The service was slow to go but the food was outstanding. We had the LilikoiCeviche which was light and fresh with corn tostadas that were very crisp and crunchy. My husband enjoyed his vegetarian tacos: cauliflower, zucchini, any pastor soyrizo. We shared a vegetable fried rice which was DELICIOUS and was a very much like a paella rice. Next time Ill try the seafood rice, because this dish was off the rails. I also had the Baja Fish Taco. Yes, delicious. The food is okay very small portions for a very large price I asked for a steak and I get little three strips of steak House expecting a little bit more for what I paid play $4 is very old and price for what I got three little strips of steak and a couple of teaspoons of vegetables. Alcoholic beverages super expensive and very watered-down up on the alcohol not worth it. All I will not recommended and I will never ever ever go there again

The exterior as well as the interior is reminiscent of Latin inspired colors and culture, staff was friendly, they had a smoker outside actually smoking meat (insert drool face here), they also had veggie options for those in your group who do not eat/consume meat.Portions are small, not a bad thing just dont expect a huge taco when you order just one, ample parking and prices are slightly above average but food and atmosphere are more than worth it

Food was okay but service just sucked!!! We ordered one taco, some oysters, camarones amarama, and one additional plate that I cant remember the name of . We waited for around 40 minutes before any of our food came out. I would have thought that maybe the food would have come out in phases (taco first, then the oysters, etc...) but it didnt. We ended up cancelling the oysters because they still didnt come with the rest of the food. We then complained to the manager (some chubby guy with glasses rocking a white Torres dodger jersey) and he couldnt give two sh$ts about our experience. He basically just walked away. This must be his first time managing a restaurant.To add insult to injury they only gave us silverware for one person. Since the waitress wasnt coming around we just had to share the silverware. Needless to say we wont be coming back.

Great service we were a group of 20. We ordered over the phone & Food was ready upon arrival. They gave us plenty of chips & salsa. I ordered 2 tacos de Asada tortillas hechas a mano/handmade, aguachiles $20 which is pricey for the small serving size. Agua de Pina $3.95 served in big Mason jars and delicious. But service was really slow and all the people working there seemed lost they don’t have many options as far as drinks and food either, it felt as if they cared more about look then service or food.
