2023-08-30 18:35:25Hidden gem! A must in the 626!Loved how fresh the raw seafood selections there, a perfect place to get your sashimi craving fixed. Most importantly, it’s very clean. It’s also a small Japanese market that sells a bunch of sake, snacks & cookies, sauces, and sushi rolls. You can also order the party trays from them.It might be a little difficult to find the entrance, but you can not miss this place.Highly recommend this place!

2023-06-10 00:31:15Went at 4:30 on a Friday and the fridge was fully stocked! They even have some pre-cut sashimi in the fridge now so you don’t have to wait with a ticket for the fish in the case anymore.

2023-01-02 17:58:04Very busy Japanese market. It sells sashimi-grade seafood. Couple of options to choose from. They usually will cut the fish for you but when we went, that day they were very busy and didnt offer the service. The workers are very friendly. Overall it was a good and nice experience. When they know we are not local and will drive for long hours to bring the fish home, they provided us with a lot of ice. The fishes were fresh and very yummy. We had them as our new year eve dinner.

2023-06-13 05:58:29Super cute tiny Japanese fish market. They have lots of snack selections, as well as drinks too. The fresh made rolls are in the fridges right near the cash registers so it can get a bit crowded trying to make your sushi selection and opening the fridge door to grab it and trying to not bump anyone. Fresh fish market towards the back of the market. Displayed nicely and everything looked clean and fresh. The sushi rolls were delicious! Their CA rolls are huge and so yummy. Other rolls were great too, simple and fresh and tasty. We also got some octopus salad and kimchi cucumbers. A few drinks. Had a nice little lunch! Everyone working in the market was extremely nice and kind. Even the ones at the cash register, so sweet! They offer you disposable chopsticks when you buy rolls.Parking is in the back and it’s free! Entrance to the market is also in the back. You’ll see the signs once you park. They accept cash and cards.

2023-05-23 02:22:33Fresh fish and lots of premade sushi to go make this small store a treasure. I went to the San Gabriel location. The sashimi is cut and packaged in the fish case and looks nice and fresh. The premade sushi looks really fresh with a variety of fish. I opted for the California roll today And it was delicious. They carry a nice selection of sake and a small variety of Japanese snacks, teas and other items. I went at 530pm so it was little busy. Parking and entrance is in the back.

2023-05-11 00:06:03AMAZING. The best! Wish I could give 10 stars. Three people have independently brought me here three separate times over the last 13 years. All three promising amazing, fresh, tasty, very affordable sushi. And every time, I was treated to just that. Amazing fish. Friendly staff. Busy location. If you want something specific for prepacked/made sushi (like salmon nigiri) come early! Alternatively, grab a big piece of sushi grade fish, and some of their sushi sticky rice, and make your own sashimi bowl. They will even cut your fish into perfect slices. Don’t judge by its exterior. Small parking lot in the back, north of the street/store. Wishing this place continued success. So nice to get fresh, tasty, and affordable sushi! Grabbed salmon avacado roll, mixed nigiri, and a seaweed salad all for $19 out the door. Wasabi, ginger, soy sauce, and chopsticks included.

2022-12-31 22:51:06*** TIP: Parking lot and entrance are in the back, behind the thai restaurant.I’ve been coming here over the last few years for a quick sushi pickup. The employees are always friendly and attentive. My favorite are the salmon sashimi (from the display case) and tamago (in the fridge area). Depending on when you arrive you may find the fridge sparsely empty but they do their best to restock it as quickly as possible. In the fridge area you can find an array of nigiri sushi, maki sushi, california rolls, seaweed, tamago, spam musubi, etc. In their display case around the corner you’ll find fresh slabs of fish. I enjoy seeing the label of origin the fish is from.I’ve only had an issue here one time during the summer and the cashier was very patient. I stopped by here on my way out somewhere and wanted a quick bite. After making my purchase, I sat in the car ready to chow down before hitting the road. There was a piece of a glove in one of my sushi containers. No big deal since I hadn’t left the store parking lot, walked back in and informed the cashier. Made the exchange for the same item, walked back to the car to chow down but this time I noticed there was something blue which had stained the rice. Okay, back inside for another try. This occurred maybe 3-4x before I figured out what was staining the sushi pieces blue. When you purchase certain items from the fridge it comes with wasabi and a packet of soy sauce. Turns out the ink from the date on the soy sauce packets was rubbing off onto the sushi causing the blue staining. The cashier was always extremely nice each time I walked to and from my car with the unusual issue. She seemed just as puzzled as I until the cause was revealed.Other things: They take Apple Pay. Normally they cut your chosen slice of fish into sashimi slices, but not during the holidays since it’s busy. The photos are from different days I’ve visited this month.
