🥳Delicious food, friendly service, fair price for great portion! We ordered combination poke bowl ($17.95) and shoyu chashu ramen with extra noodles ($13.95+$2.5). Highly recommend ramen and poke bowl! I mean I recommend you try everything here😋And I promise you won’t regret 🥰

First time visiting. Went with friends and we all had different things. I like cooked sushi and I got the oh my daddy roll which was yummy. I also had their boba but I was very disappointed because they do not use the black tapioca. You have to go up to the cashier register to order and pay for your food & they will bring your order to your table. I will return and I recommend.

Portion is big! The roll is good. The price is reasonable where you can find such a great food in a super outskirts location. The only thing that I would comment is the Katsu, the pork is not fresh where you can taste a very strong pork smell if you are very particular with it.

Didnt realize we had sushi in 29! Accidentally walked into the place next door & almost left when we realized we were at the wrong restaurant! Thank goodness I double checked. Went to have some sushi for our anniversary. Its a casual place, but has a really charming vibe. You can tell they treat their workers well, which showed in how kind our server, Alex was. Alex was great & deserves all the tips, so if you go in, be sure to do it well! Food was pricey, but Ill pay for sushi in the desert. It was fresh & tasty. Alex recommended the butterfly drinks & Im glad she did. Light & refreshing. We had a great time & will be back. Husbands only complaint was being served in to-go containers, but I actually didnt mind, made it easier if I had leftovers. Thank you so much!

If I can leave 0 start i would do so. The worst sushi I have ever tried in my life. Fish was very old and no flavor. Tuna roll was disgusting I even not sure if it was tuna at all. Egg roll was over cooked. Salmon roll was made hot and the roll came cooked not even fresh. About dragon roll I even don’t want to speak.

We did a phone order for take out. The staff were friendly and handled our large order with ease! Went to pickup the order and it was ready on time despite the fact that they were busy. They held our cold items in a fridge and hot items in the kitchen until we arrived. Thats amazing!! We will make them our go-to local spot from now on.Many thanks to the staff for being on point!!

We called in a take-out order for pick up while visiting the area. Person answering the phone was friendly and helpful. Good/fair prices, with beautiful presentation.The dining room is small & quaint location. It is so unfortunate that due to COVID the dining room is not open.Surprisingly yummy for a sushi menu so far from the ocean. This place was an accidental find.

Ordered takeout, was ready for pickup extremely quickly. We got a salmon roll, shrimp tempura roll and ramen. All were extremely lack luster and the sushi tasted old, especially the salmon and seaweed. Were gonna try it again as they have good reviews, we mightve caught them on a off day. I dont know what theyre calling salmon sushi but its not sushi grade salmon. It looks like a dyed whitefish. Doesnt taste or have the consistency of salmon. I ordered 2 salmon items so it was a complete waste of money. You have to prepay at the counter so I couldnt even send it back. Awful.

I like this place a lot. I probably would have given it 4 stars if it was located in Tokyo, San Francisco or even Austin, but this part of California is not known for fine dining, and this place is a gem. For starters, the owner is Japanese from a prefecture in Tokyo. Having lived in Japan for 5 years, I believe the food to be authentic, and well prepared. Of special interest is the Ramen offerings. The broths are simply sublime. I plan on going back here a lot this year.

Starting to lose confidence in this place. Although I have no complaints about the food my issue is with the service. This is now the 2nd time this has happened. I called an order they tell me 15-20 minutes. I arrive in 20 and I’m told they are running behind, no problem I’ll wait, the fist time I waited another 20 minutes for my order this time after 10 minutes I ask how much longer they beat around the bush until finally they say another 10-15 minutes. I did not wait any longer this second time. Next time i might have to stop going here and make dinner nights in yucca at Aki.

Living in the desert I am very leary of sushi in a small town. But Yamahana Sushi has made me a believer. From the wide selection of rolls, fabulous ramens to my all time favorite Poke bowls they always satisfy. The fish is always extremely fresh and everything is well prepared, the staff are friendly and it is overall one of my favorite places to eat. Highly recommend them!

I ordered the spicy beef rice and the California Tempura Roll. I love sushi but could not finish the California Tempura Roll. It’s my first time hearing about a California Tempura Roll and theirs was gross. The texture was soggy and I didn’t really taste the filling. Not very favorful. The Spicy Beef Rice was their special on that day, but it was meh. It was okay but wasn’t really special.

I had the dynamite roll and it was delicious. The ramen was good but for it to be close to traditional ramen the egg has to be soft boiled and not hard boiled and the meat needs to fall apart and not be over cooked. The broth and noodles was on point though and I would still recommend it. Overall it was good food and the staff was quick with getting the orders and bring out the dishes plus they were very polite.

My visit was on opening day for them so you can imagine how hectic it is, so with that said the whole staff was welcoming and nice good attitudes all around. The Ramen was delicious also the bowl was pretty big. - pork belly Ramen. The dynamite roll, and the monster roll were very good you can taste how fresh the ingredients were. This place should be rolling good once they have everything down.

We got carryout here on our visit to SoCal. Being from a city with a decent food scene, I have to say that the sushi here was mediocre at best. My California roll was not quite as good as I’ve had even at grocery stores, and my spicy salmon roll was about average. Sadly, we had to go back because they neglected to put a set of chopsticks or soy sauce in my bag. Even with this mess-up, they were very conservative with the soy sauce packets. They don’t give you anywhere near enough ginger either. My wife got a ramen bowl here and said it was a bit sweet, but OK.The dining room was small and unlike any sushi place I’d ever been in. They do have Japanese sushi chefs, but the quality of the ingredients was not good. I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but this place is incredibly pricey and may not even match up with the quality I get at Trader Joe’s (shipped from California to Ohio!) for $7. So really, I can’t recommend this place.

Probably one of the best places to eat Ramen bowls and sushi. Their self named Yamahana bowl and Yamahana sushi is excellent. Their portions are great also. Their customer service is spot on. The little lady, I believe she is the owner, always greets with a smile and remembers us and our orders whenever we eat there.

I got 3 rolls, the cream cheese tuna, cream cheese crab, and the las vegas roll. The las vegas was the only one that tasted good, service was amazing but the owners only allow the servers to give out very small amounts of sauce and charge your for more, even though the rolls are $10 average. The Tuna and crab tasted off and the rolls were warm. Honestly ridiculous, also my wife had the poke bowl and it was a solid 5/10.

Every time I call them when they are busy, they hang up the phone instead of just taking my order and giving me a wait time. The staff is unaware of the items they do and dont have because they decided to open without having the full menu. The sushi is to over priced for the quality and quantity. I went here three times and received superrr beyond slow (1 hour wait for 1 togo roll) service and mediocre sushi. There spicy mayo isnt good. Best part is i ordered a philadelphia roll once. You know, salmon,creamcheese, avacado. They gave me creamcheese and avacado and said there salmon creamcheese roll is what i should have ordered. I ordered this like this the first time i went here and i got it correct. SMH lol. I was shocked to see only avacado and creem cheese. I really tried with this place. but make the drive to KIMIs in Yucca Valley. Worth it.

Cozy, well lit, clean front of house, i had the spicy red dragon, gyoza and water total 17 plus tip. The roll was spicy in a cumin sauce way, and sweet with the eel sause definitely homemade. Gyoza crispy and fresh not like other places with doughy soggy breading. Local to this area aki sushi and yamahana fight for number one and Fuji was once great but something thing happend they have become slow with the food and service has gone dim. The ramen here is good the best is the tonkatsu pork belly the creamy garlickyStock goes great with the pork and bamboo shoots yum also next door is vietnamese pho style both really good but i prefer pho style.

In the midst of the emptiness that Twentynine Palms might seem at first glance, this quaint little restaurant offers arguably the best ramen in this locality. The must-try dish would be the Yamahana Ramen, which is to put in simple terms ramen brothed in a delectable coconut milk soup base.Forget the traditional Tonkotsu or Miso soup bases, the Yamahana Ramen is the one to sample if you have only one ramen to order! Do yourself a favour and ask the server for the ramen to be a little spicy, the combination is the best that Ive tried so far.The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming too. You wont go wrong heading down to this restaurant as a traveler passing by or as a Marine that finds yourself stationed at the Marine base nearby.

The sushi chef is talented but they don’t use that talent very well when they aren’t using good ingredients the tuna was discolored from it not being very fresh and the avocado was kinda stiff and the Imitation crab they use is very corse and paste like and it kinda sickend me and the rolls were over all chewy not very good sushi there if you ask me food wasn’t fresh and made me feel sick I wouldn’t recommend try kimi grill or aki sushi in yucca valley if you want good sushi in the area the service was nice and polite but they can’t help the rating when the actual food quality is low

Spent hundreds of hours and dollars here eating sushi and drinking sake with the schoolhouse guys. Great food, great staff, loved Yamahana sushi, it was the silver lining of 29 palms. 10/10
