Great little cafe.. atmosphere is beautiful, the food is delicious. The line to order is a bit long but well worth the wait. Everyone is pleasant and accommodating.However.... They could benefit from having a bus boy. It does take them a long time to clean the tables. Other than that... Great place!!!!

Enjoyed my lunch while out running errands. This cafe’s decor is beautiful with flowers for purchase as well as part of the decor. There is not a seat in this cafe without a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy the patio or indoor eating. The yellow, orange and green color palette is inviting. The music in the cafe is relaxing. My food was served fast and fresh with a smile. When asked about their VIP membership, not one person who is employed at this cafe was aware of their own VIP membership. Things to make you think.

Interior decoration is pleasant and relaxing. Yellow 🟡 🍋 is my cool color and floral.Tried hot matcha latte with lemon tartine.Hot coco with nondairy milk and Turkish chips on a different occasion.Tasty, not too sweet for me, I dont believe they carry specific diet options.Will try the breakfast 🥚 🥩 eggs n steak next time.Cool quick snack dessert corner. I wish their music was more upbeat than slow mellow each time. Service was friendly and pleasant, and thats hard to find around LA in my opinion.

Such a cute and cozy spot with gorgeous ocean views! Visit every time I’m in Palos Verdes for a sweet treat (love the croissants). I’ve enjoyed dining in and loved the egg/avocado/cheese panini. The only thing keeping me from 5 stars is the coffee…I’ve tried a few different drinks and never particularly enjoy.

Amazing little spot to have a good downtime rest from routine. Ordered my coffee and a fruit tart, sat back and just enjoyed the conversations. Isabel and Tatiana were very helpful as I dont know much about specialty coffees. Felt comfortable and relaxed.

Yellow Vase has become one of our newest go-to spots for a healthy quick bite. Its fresh and delightful. They have multiple locations in the Palos Verde area, but this one has a view of the Pacific Ocean. Beautiful views.. good food and great company, you cant go wrong! Bon Appétit!

My adult daughter and I went for breakfast, and ended up ordering sandwiches, because they sounded so good, and they were.There was a long line to order, and then we took our teas outside to a picnic table, and could not believe how fast the food came out.Great little green salad came with. We ordered roasted potatoes to share. Perfect!

The Yellow Vase is a cute place to stop for a breakfast or lunch. Omelettes, crepes, salads and sandwiches are most of the items. Their coffee is good and have fresh bakery items on a daily basis. Plenty of free nearby parking. You place your order at the counter and it is delivered to your table. Their decor is a nod to French country and has yellow finishes throughout. Great for a group as everyone can order and pay separately and sit together. It’s on a busy street and corner, but it does have ocean views. And a few options for vegetarians. I had the veggie omelette.

I ordered the Salmon crepe and couldnt stop moaning over my food 🤌🏻 The iced matcha raspberry oat milk is a special there. Try it if its available (off the menu)The outside seating overlooks the waters on PV. Inside everything is cute and yellow and artsy.The woman who took my order was not the best help to point out the best dishes. My friends were not happy with the Belgian waffle and omelette.

Delightful little cafe perfect for lunch on a sunny day. Youll get an ocean breeze and a view through the open doors if you dine inside, or you can relax on their dog friendly patio. The sandwiches and soups are delicious and sizable, and they have dessert available too.

Wow. Service, views, food were all amazing. We ordered the Monte Cristo, croissant sandwich, French toast, and strawberry salad. Portion sizes were good as well. One minor note, if you like subtly sweet drinks make sure to say so before ordering your latte. I would say their latte sweetness level is just slightly less than Starbucks level sweetness, still pretty good though.

We come here at least two times a month for Sunday breakfast. Its such a lovely place: cute setup, good choices of breakfast dishes and bakery/desert, view of the ocean. You can bring your dog here if you seat outside. There is not much wait here, sometimes no wait at all. Our kids love this restaurant. Our favorite choices are: avocado toast (greatest new addition to the menu), breakfast sandwich, quiche Lorraine, sweet dreams crepes, hot chocolate, coffee, peach and mint hot tea and americano.After the breakfast we go straight across the street for a breathtaking views hike along the cliff.

Really delicious food! I had the tomato bisque soup and chicken panini half sandwich, and the portions were huge and very filling. I loved how the soup cane with both toasted garlic bread and fresh, soft French bread.The Yellow Vase golden milk latte was extremely large and sweet and very rich and creamy. I loved the flower design on top.Sitting outside on the sidewalk, you get gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean. Do be careful of gusty winds that can blow the umbrella over though.

So delicious with lots of charm! We stopped in for some breakfast and coffee and were so pleasantly surprised with the portion sizes and amazing quality of the food here! My husband had the French toast and it was brioche, covered in strawberries, light and fluffy. I ordered the avocado toast on gluten free bread (allergy) and it came with sunny side up eggs, chili flakes and a lovely side salad. The lattes were super smooth and yummy as well. We will definitely be coming back when we are in the area. I highly recommend you try the Yellow Vase! (Sorry we are our food before I remembered to take a photo but it was beautiful!)

Lovely views of Pacific Ocean, this is acute place with an awesome interior and delicious food. Amazing place to hang out with friends. I tried 2 By 2 dish with chicken sausage with scramble eggs. Strawberry smoothie with mix of banana. Had an amazing time. Do come and check yourself. Enjoy guys.

I don’t get the hype. Service takes forever, food is fine but not amazing, coffee is usually mediocre (I’ve tried their latte, drip, cappuccino, and cortado), and it sometimes smells like rotting garbage (from the coastline).Is it because it’s the only option in this immediate area? I’ve tried this place several times hoping the previous time was a fluke and each time I leave feeling disappointed. Time to find a new spot. 🤞🏼

I could not be in Cali and not go to Yellow Vase and I certainly could not go another day without my cappuccino. The Palos Verdes location was comfy, great view and the caramelized Apple French toast was delightful. It wasn’t a busy morning yet the staff never made there way over to check to see if I needed anything else or if all was well (A little pet peeve of mine when dining). The cappuccino was good and being an out of town er I have to add again .... the view!!!! Who wouldn’t love staring at palm trees while sipping on call?

Been patronizing Yellow Vase for several years. The menu never changes and the quality at this location has gone downhill. Garden crepe was scant in portion and side salad lettuce dry and wilted. Prices have gone up so why not step up the quality? Chinese chicken salad had a hot nuked chicken breast thrown on top of it. Staffer at the register has very bad attitude, unfriendly. Please do better because I like the ambiance.

The cashier was very rude. She was very sweet as she chatted with smile face for few mins to white customers who was in front of me. But she changed her face immediately to asian customers included me even though i said ‘hi’ with smile first. And she didn’t ask about size for my drink and when i ask if she got my order of ‘tuna salad sandwich’ as the receipt showed as “tuna salad’, she got even more aggressive and gave a attitude. I am wondering how she thinks about the Starbucks’ Racism issue. I was a big fan of Yellow vase but with this experience, I won’t go there when I am paying $11 for a tuna salad sandwich. Disappointed. Horrible precooked dry tasteless bacon.I was told people like it crispy, as do I. However this was something else. It was bad.Napoleon was old like rubber and way too sweet. Not good for a pastry restaurant.Observed that tables were all wiped with the same dirty rag, without it being refreshed.Nobody ever checked on me once food was delivered. Bacon would have been rejected and I would have liked a coffee refill.Staff is not overwhelmed, just not trained to provide good service. Actually, goofing around laughing behind the counter.Shame on management.

Ive been to two of these little cafes and I prefer the one that is in Malaga cove. The difference I found is that the one in Malaga cove gives you the feel that you are in another country its very cute and the courtyard is nice and you just feel like youre at a little cafe in France or something its really really nice. The one in Palos Verdes is also nice but you know youre in Palos Verdes and its very busy and the street is right there so youve got cars going past you and 50 miles an hour and then the light turns red and youre reading their exhaust if youre sitting outside. It is however nice to sit outside because you can see the ocean and on a nice day you can see Catalina which is a treat. The food was equally good at both locations however I think the service was better at the Malaga cove location. Possibly because the one in Palos Verdes was very busy and it seemed like the clientele in the Palos Verdes location were a little more rude and giving the servers and the wait staff a little more attitude and hard time. I felt sorry for the poor cashier She look like she was about ready to drop. I could hear people behind me complaining and just generally being unpleasant so I felt very sorry for her and I actually came in and gave her a tip in addition to leaving a tip for the server.

Aside from taking us like 10 minutes to figure out if we should order at the counter or seat ourselves, by the time we actually got our order, it had been almost half an hour and the food came out cold to the touch. When I complained to the staff (after having to wait at the counter another 10 minutes,) I was greeted with a blank stare and a questioning attitude. After waiting around with a 4 year old, my friend and I were ready to just get our money back and leave. They did refund our meal, but not the $3 bottle of water and $5 apple juice, and they graciously kept the tip we prepaid at the register. We wanted to try out a cute new spot for brunch and were honestly disappointed. The place was busy, so I can only assume we were the only ones having such a poor experience, but I will definitely not be back to try again.

To me, Yellow Vase is one star. Looking at the cafe objectively however, it is clean with a creative interior, making the ambiance fun and light. The food was average, not terrible and not super amazing. Definitely overpriced! What really ruined my experience was the customer service. I ordered a matcha latte and it was TERRIBLE. Super powdery, I couldnt make it past 4 sips. I asked them kindly if they could remake it or if I could switch drinks of equal or lesser value, I never do this but it tasted that terrible. Their response was, well if we remake your drink its going to taste the same and we do not do exchanges. They didnt even attempt to reconcile their terrible drink and like I said before, theyre overpriced so I paid $4+ to sip a horrible latte. They were unapologetic that I had a bad experience and implied that I was being too picky. I will never be going here again and I will be writing this review on google also. Im appalled by their horrible customer service.

I like doing good reviews so this one is not fun. I have been to this restaurant perhaps three times. Each and every time ordering is a bearing. They dont care how they do it anywhere else, in here customers stand in a slow, usually long line, hoping that an overwhelmed cashier will get the order right.Your order hopefully will eventually come and if it does, youll probably have to get up to get utensils and condiments.Very little to no personnel to tend to tables. The food isnt even good. A very poor customer experience.

Palos Verdes location had ocean views with an outdoor patio to enjoy the summer weather. This is my favorite location of this small restaurant chain. If you get a table close to the window or sit outside you can enjoy the million dollar view. It reminds me of a European café. The food is fresh, healthy and thoughtfully prepared. The staff is always polite and professional. I typically have a salad. The only thing that would make it better is if they offered wine.

Yellow Vase is my location for a midday brunch. For a cafe they offer an amazing selection of breakfast, lunch or brunch and they have an adorable interior decor. Yellow Vase has both inside and outside seating. There is plenty of room inside and outside there is a bench and small tables with a water fountain near the patio style setting.My favourite dish is their salmon platter, and Ruby is one of my favorites waitresses. She is always accommodating when I want to try something different and create my own omlette, which comes with a side of small potatoes with peel, and a mixed green salad.This has also become my sister and moms favorite Sunday brunch location on the Hill. Try it and enjoy.

Subpar location for a yellow vase. Cappuccino with oatmilk was sweet. When we asked to switch it, lady at the counter refused to accept that I can be sweet. They finally switched it but came with regular milk. We had a muffin which was just so so. We left in a hurry. I think its just this location, the yellow vase in Redondo Beach is pretty good

Small portions, uncomfortable seating, terrible bread. Suggestions; make good fresh bread. Larger portions. Fry in coconut oil only. Use better eggs like Egglands best or something free range that doesnt taste like talcom powder. Yolk color is important.

Lovely little spot for casual dining. Good food and drink options. A little on the pricey side with most dishes $12/plate and some outdoor seating by sidewalk. Unique decor and cafe experience.

The food is ok. There always seems to be something off with it. Its either too bland or too salty. Their lattes are good. I almost always know Im not going to like the meal there but I like the location. Their service is good but slow.

We live out of state, my brother lives locally. I try to make it to Yellow Vase whenever Im visiting. Great coffee, gorgeous view. The salmon is outstanding; it will be my new usual.

Very disappointing. Ordered online for Mothers day after recommendation from a friend. May be they do good for dine-in guests!Omelette was without cheese! The dressing selected was missing. Crepes were soggy and not fit to eat.No way to reply to order confirmation email.No one answered phone when I called back. Left a VM but never heard back. Probably they dont care at this point.Never order online with this restaurant is what I would suggest.(Order No. 444854261, 5/9/2021)Adding this part after a week of posting my review above:There has been no attempt by the restaurant still to reach me and discuss the poor review and the incomplete food!

Okay food, portions too small. Certainly nothing extraordinary, and the bread was insultingly cheap with cold hard butter. They should have fresh wheat bread with warmed whipped butter. Made me feel I was on a cheapo airline flight. Also, wish theyd cook using coconut oil. That corn oil is hard on the stomach. Blughh.

One of the most pleasant sittings with a cup of coffee you can do. Food good too. Gets crowded sometimes but if you come around 7:30 am its a great place to have some breakfast, coffee and read a paper or look out into the ocean.

I really likethe decor of this quaint little cafe. But unfortunately thats where my positive comments end. Service is less than satisfactory. I let the cashier girl know its my first time here and she looked unamused/bored & didnt know many answers to any of my questions. So Im disappointed to say the least.
