This place might be a sleeper but their broth in the beef noodle soup is some of the best I have ever had. Their egg pancake is awesome and xlb dumplings were great too. Would highly recommend this place, not much seating so you might want to do to go if you can’t get seats. Prices are so fair too.

Taiwanese breakfast! They are located in the corner. Parking is easy in the morning but small parking spots. Food is great but the price is high and they don’t include the sauce in your bag… you’d have to get it yourself which defeats the purpose of take out.. The soy milk doesn’t have sugar so add your own sugar when you’re there before you leave. I always come back here but just always forget the sauces so I’m disappointed in myself and the restaurant when I get home..

Used to be my favorite breakfast place in Arcadia but the quality has gone down lately. Their rice burritos became very stingy on the fillings, mostly rice. Their soy milk is still good, green onion pancakes, and egg crepes are good.

Love their dishes for decades, recently the smoke chicken have became my top favorite. However, couldn’t find it on Yi Mei’s DoorDash menu. After brought it to the store manager’s attention, Lany responded to my inquiry with a telephone call and followed with a personal note in an hour that she will edited the menu by coming Friday. Just can’t find any better customer services elsewhere, a true big Five!

One of the favorite Taiwanese restaurants for the locals here. Many of my Taiwanese friends who visit LA would make a special trip to come here to eat. During the pandemic, they only offer take out service. To facilitate the ordering process, you can order online or call in your order.They offer all of my favorite Taiwanese food here especially breakfast items. The rice rolls are excellent and authentic. I particularly like their sesame flatbread with eggs. This breakfast item is crispy and nutritious. I also like their Hot soy milk. For many Chinese, this is a morning stable drink. Every time I come here, I have to have a soy milk drink. Yi MEI has done a good job on this drink. Fried dough goes well with the soy milk drink too.Lunch dishes are good too. They have probably one of the best noodles in town. My favorite is their pig feet noodle. The pig feet are tender and flavorful. The soup is heavenly and reminds me of the good food I had when I visited Taiwan. Set lunch plates are also offered during lunch time. The plates include many famous Taiwanese dishes such as minced pork rice and Taiwanese sausages rice.For those of you want to have their frozen item, they have frozen pork dumplings and pot stickers. In the refrigerator, you can get cold drinks as well.

If youve ever been to Taiwan, this place serves many of the tradition Taiwanese breakfast dishes. They have the salty soy milk with Chinese donut dish, a dish I cant seem to find at other places in LA. Enjoyed all the dishes. Not required but leave some tip after eating. The dishes are really affordable. Come in for breakfast.

Was suggested to this spot for their Soy/Milk teas.I was out eating at Luscious Dumpling across the way in the same plaza for Chinese Cuisine. A patron sitting next to us suggested Yi Mei since we were speaking about getting some Milk tea after our lunch.Ended up being a great place for Milk tea. We picked up a bag of Xiao Long Bao that they make make, then freeze for you to take home and steam yourself. They have a large array of food items that are of Cantonese/Taiwanese cuisine.We will come back to try other items on the menu.

Our go to Taiwanese breakfast place. Food is always consistency . They have purple rice roll with sour pickles. Yum. Staffs are mostly nice. They dont clean very promptly so the floor is kind of messy and gross but I just try to look away. The entire plaza gets very crowd during weekend and parking sucks like any other Asian market plaza.

Decided to try a new Taiwanese breakfast spot and it didnt disappoint! You can order at the counter or order on the iPad by the door. This place has a decent selection of items to choose from. I ended up trying the salty rice roll, Chinese donut, and soy milk.Soy milk came warm, in a bowl, and unsweetened. They have sugar for you to add so you can sweeten it to your liking. The Chinese donut was slightly cold when I got it, wish this was served hot but the taste and texture of the donut was good especially with the soy milk. The salty rice roll had too much rice. Looking at the other pictures it seems like mine had a lot more than how they typically made it. Despite it having too much rice, really enjoyed the taste of the pickles, pork sung, and Chinese donut altogether.Overall great value and good food. They accept card over $10!

Highly recommended if you want to try Taiwanese breakfast in the 626. Packed most of the times on weekends in the morning to noon. Food is pretty good, I love their garlic soy sauce. Definitely try the peanut soy cold. Decently priced and I hope they hire a little bit more people to help out turning over the tables cause it was definitely hard to find a seat when theres a table full of dirty dishes.

Service was a little slow for there being very few customers. They were probably in between shifts. And the beef roll was not flavorful, kinda mushy compared to better ones I’ve had, and a little small.The noodle soup was not great. The popcorn chicken was good. Maybe I caught them at a bad time.My friend who recommended the Yi Mei chain actually said for me to eat the Taiwanese breakfast which I didn’t try this time.I’m pretty reluctant to go back here and might stick to other Taiwanese places. Honestly I wanna give them a 2 Star, but I’m giving them one star for benefit of the doubt.

If you love Taiwanese food, Yi Mei is the spot. The restaurant is fairly new and very clean. Theyre located in the same plaza as luscious dumpling in Monrovia.My friend brought me here to have their Taiwanese rice rolls. Ive had this at many other places in the SGV before but the made-to-order rice rolls here are definitely the best. I order the salted rice roll, which has the pork sung and Chinese donut. I also add a fried egg and Chinese pickles. For $4.75, the rice roll is very filling. You can also add a cold or hot soy milk to make it a combo for just $1 more.Other than the rice rolls theyre known for, Yi Mei has all your Taiwanese favorites of noodle and rice. They also have baked items and a cold fridge of prepared food. I havent tried their Taiwanese tamales yet but it seems to be another popular item there.The restaurant is cash only. You order at the counter and self-seat. The food come out quickly and the service is good.

I live in Northridge but make a point to come out here at least once a month. Best breakfast dishes here are the radish cakes and egg omlette with the garlic sauce from the condiment bar. They are 100% legit Taiwanese.We also love the beef noodle soup, popcorn chicken, and the very meaty frozen baos. I would recommend the beef sandwich, but they always run out of the sesame bread.Not a fan of their soy milks. Lately, they either taste chemical or spoiled. I also avoid the refrigerated baos as they tend to spoil.

The salted soy milk is literally that. The rice rolls are huge like two times the size of tamales. The insides have good flavors and the rice isnt way to oily or sticky. Definitely get the garlic sauce! Its like the Asian ketchup for everything, second to siracha. (Its self serve on the side)Bring cash for 2% discount on your bill.

Best fantuan (rice rolls) in SGV and I have tried all the other ones. The rice dough (you tiao) is still crunchy when I received the order and the whole roll is not drenched in oil. Make sure you add pickles!Another item that is on my must eat list is the daikon cake. They pan fry it on order so it is still crispy. Also the best tasting in thr SGV! Always ask for the garlic sauce and the chili sauce. They go super well with the daikon cakes.They are in Monrovia so it is pretty far of a drive. Please consider opening one more towards the 10 freeway!

It was alright. I was really looking forward to get my fix of Taiwanese breakfast foods and soup dumplings probably hit the spot better than the other orders. Unfortunately, with items on the menu like the vegetarian rice roll and flatbread with egg, you can taste the individual ingredients in each of them - they dont come together to deliver an experience. In the rice roll, youll bite into grains of salt and sugar. In the sandwich, just a plain old egg between pieces of bread.Maybe Im spoiled by what you can get in Taipei or NYC but I did not walk out thinking of my next trip to Yi Mei.

Love this Taiwanese breakfast cafe, my son loves their Daikon cake and green onion pancake. My wife likes egg pancake and salted rice roll. It is one of the best TW breakfast around Monrovia area, even their price is a little high, it is worth it. The Cafe is clean, organize and has plenty of staffs. You can even order it online, it is pretty convenient. Except for the parking, if you go between 11 am to 2 pm, it gets pretty crazy during wkN the plaza has only 1 entrance and 1 exit, sometimes it will take a while for find a parking spot.

Take away for outdoor dining, the fried dough sticks in the purple rice balls are not as crispy as those in Taiwan! The 16% off Xiao Long Bao is pretty awesome! The beef in sesame cakes is delicious, but the meat is a bit salty! The Gua Bao has a little too much fat. If you dont like fat, you can tell the boss first... the soy milk is thick... overall its not bad!

1/17/2021-The epidemic problem The store does not provide internal service, and there is no toilet to borrow.Food part: The omelette tastes different from the omelets in Taiwanese breakfast shops. The texture and taste are different, but they are still delicious. Yimei’s omelets taste thinner and the eggs are thicker, so the taste of eggs is more delicious. A lot, but overall its delicious! I give 4 stars!Meat bun: This is called the provincial bun. The skin is clean, the skin has a sweet and fragrant taste, and the filling is delicious. The ratio of skin to meat is just right! It is not bad to be able to eat this bun in the United States! There is one downside, I guess the steamed buns should be microwaved or temporarily heated, instead of being placed in a steamer like in Taiwan, so a small part of the skin of the buns is slightly hard and dry. I give 3.5 stars!Soy milk and mixed milk: taste good, very similar to Taiwanese taste, I give 4.5 stars!Sauce: The store has soy sauce and chili sauce for minced garlic.
