The beef bone soup here is exceptionally delicious. Unlike some Korean restaurants that tend to use more MSG, you can truly taste the mildness and the tender beef flavor in this one.

I love the soups in this place. Their bancan or side dishes are all very good. Their kimchi is some of the best I have tasted in a restaurant. If you like intestines, it’s tender and melts in your mouth. Highly recommended.

This location is different from the Garden Grove location, the menu consist of soups, bibimbap and tonkatsu. They don’t have the bossam, fried mackerel and kalbijjim. The ladies working there were super nice and kept refilling our pan chan (side dishes). The tonkatsu was huge and double crispy. The boiled bulgogi with glass noodles on a hot platter (#12) was more on the saltier side. Overall, it was good.

We ordered seolleongtang, yukgaejang, gamjatang, and Korean tonkatsu. Seolleongtang was good, yukgaejang was OK. The potato in gamjatang was very tasty and soft but it didnt come with a lot of meat or soup. The tonkatsu was good - it was crunchy without being too hard and the sauce tasted good. But the service was bad since they seemed to be understaffed. Our server was snappy and impatient for us to leave.

I love the food and comparable to other Asian Korean restaurants, it’s quite good and portions are well done. It’s not the least expensive but u get what U pay for which is all I ask these days. We ordered our food before we sat down so that they can get us out ASAP so the next table can sit down and turnover that business.... super typical of busy Asian restaurant in Asia but not as common in California .. overall was good and would come back again

Delicious lunch menu, attentive servers and reasonable priced. I dont think I can ask anything more for a quick lunch.The Bibimbap is well prepared and delicious, protion is big enough for two people especially it also come with three kimchi side dishes. I was very satisfied ! Definitely a great lunch spot in Irvine.

Little establishment in Irvine next to Kicking Crab on Alton and Jamboree. The serve delicious korean dishes (not the typical tofu soup or kbbq). We ordered #2 galbitang (short rib soup) and the hubby got #16 (Tonkatsu with korean sauce).The short rib soup comes with a generous portion of white rice and typical korean side dishes (different types of kimchi). The broth was very clear and with lots of beef flavor. The soup came with a lot of meat and green onion. It was delicious. This is the non-spicy flavor.The tonkatsu dish was a big plate. Two people can share this dish or one very hungry person can eat this dish. The dish comes with a giant piece of fried pork cutlet, a generous portion of white rice and a generous portion of cole slaw. The cole slaw is a great addition to refresh yourself after eating the big piece of fried meat. Both dishes were delicious. We came out of the place very stuffed.The staff is the best at Yigah Restaurant. They are very attentive and constantly refilling the side dishes and drinks.I highly recommend this place.

My go-to for Korean bone broth soup (Seolleongtang). This place is consistent, homey, and their soup is in point. Their bowls are huge! You can easily get two meals out of them. They’re also very generous with their kimchi and rice. The other dishes they offer look delicious as well but every time I go it’s because I’m craving the soup. One of these days I’ll give another dish a try. The staff is friendly. Service is quick and prices are good.

First impression of the place was that it was quite and clean. I had seolleongtang and it was decent. We must came at the wrong time though because there was a huge argument in the kitchen that involved screaming and the sounds of pots being thrown. My girlfriend translated the conversation and said they were arguing over cooking. It got so bad to the point it became unignorable due to the constant yelling. Everyone in the dining area felt awkward and even the waitress had to apologize as we received our check. First time we ever experienced something like this. Im giving 3 stars because the food and service was fine but the situation was extremely uncomfortable for the customers and overall really unfortunate.

They have traditional Korean food items including Seolleongtang, bbq, fried rice, bibimbab, etc. Definitely one of my favorite places for Seolleongtang. The soup is nice and smooth and the selection of meats they put in are great. I havent been here in a while, so I hope they changed this during covid, but I hope they took the green onions off the tables and are giving it only to people that need it. The last time I was at this place I saw a family and their baby was opening the green onion jar and grabbing it with his hands. This isnt the restaurants fault but that is disgusting behavior that the parents should have controlled. Overall though this place is a great spot to get a satisfying fill of Korean food.

This place has an okay taste. It is really salty though. The service is like any other Korean restaurant. The donkatsu was pretty good, but my ox bone soup was just too salty for me even without salt. My parents werent able to eat their food because their spicy soup was too salty. The interior is pretty small causing a long line to form in a packed plaza like this.This place just didnt appeal to me and I dont see myself coming back.

Yigah is probably my favorite comfort food restaurant for Korean dishes (OC) I always order the gambitang. Great for cold days, and even better if you’re not feeling well. They have a good selection of banchon that compliments the meals there. Bibimbap is also another dish we order. Simple, but filling. The only thing about this place that sometimes stops me from coming, parking! It’s in the DIamond Jamboree plaza and parking can be a nightmare there

I ordered the dumpling soup, and was very happy with the seasoning of the broth. The dumplings were much larger than I expected, but they were also well-seasoned. The staff was friendly, and service was relatively fast. I would return to this restaurant.

Tried this place because it looked packed and popular. I dont know much about non typical Korean food, so I tried the soup thats plastered on the walls. Very basic/plain broth and you need to add your own seasonings. I did like the way the beef was prepared..thin and tender slices. My husband tried the squid bibimbap. It looked good at first but then he got tired of it. Would have preferred the normal bibimbap. I definitely need to figure out what everyone else is eating.

The food here is delicious. I came here with my partner and one of his best friends. We ordered bulgogi bibimbap, short-rib soup, and the spicy beef soup. All of our food came out greay. However, I would warn anyone looking to get the spicy beef soup that it burns! I loved it, but I know that tolerance for spiciness varies.Quick tip: This is a small restaurant, and it fills up quickly.

Poor experience.1. The prices - $13 for galbitang?! Insane2. We got the ox bone soup, which is unseasoned but you season yourself with salt and other things. This is a great place for non-barbecue, classic Korean food. Moderately priced, with friendly and efficient service, I usually get their Beef Bibimbap - its very tasty!! To compliment the yummy Korean food, three different types of kimche are served at the table, all of which are tasty, as well. The kimche is complimentary... :) At lunchtime, this restaurant usually has a bit of a wait because the dining room is small and its a popular restaurant among Irvine locals. Great Korean food, good service, good price - awesome value.

We visited on a Saturday night. Wait was about 30 minutes. The waitress was really nice. She brought us iced barley tea and hot tea as well. There were 3 cold appetizer dishes - kimchi, radish kimchi, and a green veggie kimchi. All were delicious, especially the kimchi.We ordered:* Seolleongtang - Really good broth with a mixture of sliced brisket, flank and intestine.* Yuisoo Bulgogi - Meat and veggies were great, but the broth was a bit too sweet for our taste.* Japchae - Really tasty. When you first sit down youll get hot or cold tea that tastes sort of nutty, its good, not sure what it is. :P If youre new to Korean food, try any of the bibimbap (rice and veggies). My favorite is the dolpan bibimbap. Bulgolgi is also an excellent choice (marinated sweet beef). Be sure to use the sesame oil and hot chili sauce they bring to your table! Youll get kimchi (fermented spicy cabbage, very good for you) and some other sides. Try it!

The racist manager asked me to wait outside because I wasn’t Asian or white. There were plenty of open tables and I was sitting there for 20 minutes waiting to get helped. The decoration is generally old, the dishes are only a dozen home-cooked dishes, the soup is good, and the toilet is extremely dirty. I cant stand it. I rarely give 1 star. This time I cant stand it!After waiting in line for half an hour to get in, it was a bad experience. The two of them ordered one set meal first, then told the waiter to wait and order another set meal. They looked at the menu first, but the waiter took away the set of tableware and was very rude. He said, We dont have any extra side dishes for you. Its the first time I heard that there is such a service! Why dont you even ask if the other guest will eat? The attitude was very bad. I felt like I owed money. After finishing my meal, I hurriedly left to let the customers behind me. However, we were the last to enter and there was no one queuing up behind us. The serving size is CRAZY for what you pay. The food tastes good. Its not anything exceptional but it can definitely satisfy your cravings for Korean food.The quantity is really large, but the taste is not very good. Quantity is extra large, taste is average.

After eating in this restaurant for nearly ten years, I feel that the taste has not changed. This Irvine store is relatively small in space and doesn’t have many dishes. The stewed potatoes with backbone that I discovered over the past year is quite to my liking. But I had it once a few months ago, and when I tried it again yesterday I was told it was no longer available, which was a bit disappointing. I have eaten at this restaurant countless times, so this time I chose the classic beef bone soup. It was raining outside and it felt very cold, but the first bite immediately warmed me up. The slightly bad thing is that the shop assistants and aunties were too busy and they didnt give us water or paper towels when we asked for them, but it was okay and understandable.
