My daughter picked this place for 10th birthday. They have a wide selection of all different types of sushi. Their menu is on the wall and full of pictures and an easy to understand description of what is in their dishes. The staff was helpful in explaining things for first timers like us. We ordered to go. The inside atmosphere was mom and pop-ish in all the good ways. Nothing fancy but pleasant. They have an outdoor seating area as well as indoor, but we did not stay to eat. The food was delicious and filling.

This place was recommended by a friend. The menu is extensive. The food was excellent. Not too much seating inside, but there is seating outside for the cooler months. Highly recommend this place if youre looking for a good sushi place

I just got finished waiting 45 minutes for my food as I watch them packing my part of my order in other to go orders I was told it was goingna be 25 minutes and it ended up being almost an hour period you think they would accompany some kind of little roll a 5 or $6 roll they didnt cough me anything all they said is Im sorry and had me waiting all that time so yeah one star for their incompetence today and weve been going here years. They completely messed up the order. we got a combo They gave us 1 shrimp 1 string bean, one slice carrot 1 slice yam 1 piece of broccoli for $13.99. My daughter is allergic to seafood and they put that seafood sushi and the other sushi in the same container. This place is horrible under pressure when there is a crowd.

Delicious! We are never disappointed. I had the gyoza, chicken katsu and an avocado veggie roll. Hubby got the Lambada roll and the Yo Sashimi Combo. Mmmm ... mmmm ... good!

I dont have any stars for this business. It used to be phenomena,l service quick, food delicious.I went today, not busy at all. I ordered what I thought would be a quick California RollI paid in cash waited 10 minutes and went to check on my order, they hadnt started making it yet, I asked for a refund as I couldnt wait any longer when given back my refund the cashier told me she didnt have any change to give me back I asked her what happened to the change I had just given her she replied she gave it to someone else....So I left 15 min later with no food and shorted 54 cents. Unbelievable

Holy smokes. This peace was ridiculously cheap for the amount you are receiving. It usually takes two rolls to from me up, but this took only one. The sizes of the rolls are huge and amazing. Definitely coming here again to try other rolls they have here. Also large selection of food/rolls.

I used to like this place until I seen how bad of a lady the owner was I was parked outside waiting for my boyfriend to meet me there for lunch and she comes to my car door and said I can’t be parked here if I’m not eating there right now I explained I was waiting for my man to meet me here for his lunch then proceeded to get disrespectful nd entitled end up with her calling me foul language and flipping her middle finger because I wouldn’t leave of course since she was being disrespectful and became difficult as there is no sign saying no loitering or no public parking and will not be eating here again because of how she treats her customers I tried being patient and calm she said we don’t need your business here so there’s that

Came with a group with a recommendation from one of us, and we sat in the outdoor seating area where there are heater lamps.Yo Sushi is a cafe-style style restaurant where you order at the front and find seating. Inside the restaurant there are sitting areas with tables that seat up to 4 people maybe 6. Outside there are large wooden tables and benches that will see up to 12 people together maybe.I got the miso soup ($1.75 ea) and the small party sushi platter ($42) with 2 other guys. It was quite a lot of food and we all agreed that the sushi was good and didnt have any kinds of unsavory tastes, but youd be disappointed if you were looking for the freshest fish or fancy plating. However, for our order of the small party platter, they were extremely fast about getting it out of the kitchen; it took maybe 10 minutes.For a group looking to get a fast and inexpensive sushi lunch or dinner, Yo Sushi is a good choice.

Ordered my regular spicy tuna rolls. Strangely cut, some so small hard to pick up with sticks. Not packaged properly, they forgot to put any soy sauce in my order. Ever since new management a month and a half ago its been going downhill. Also miss the friendly customer service. Think Ill shop elsewhere.

Since the remodel, the quality and variety of food has been great. They have about 90 specialty rolls to choose from, as well as nigiri, appetizers (poke!), ramen, udon, chirashi, rice bowls, desserts (mochi ice cream, macaron ice cream!), beer, sake. They also offer party platters. There are a good number of seats both inside & outside (unless you go at peak lunch hours). They play Korean music videos or shows on the TV. The parking lot is a little dinky and the area is a little sketchy, but this is definitely one of my favorite sushi spots (in addition to Hinata and Hisui 2).

Dry food. Almost no sauce. We ordered ahead. Bag was tied closed when we picked up, so we couldnt check our food without ripping it. There were only 2 other customers inside, yet it took a long time for anyone to speak to us. When they handed us our order, they barely spoke to us. There were no utensils, napkins, or sauces in the bag, nor were we offered any. We ordered over $60 worth of food and almost all of it was mediocre. The poor service also negatively impacted our ability to enjoy our meal. FTR, we have had good food there in the past. Never have we had good service though.

Very Delish. I follow a plant-based diet so I dont eat meat including seafood. Yo Sushi had plenty of veggie rolls to choose from. I was quite satisfied. Ill be back soon

This is our go to sushi place. There is a lot of variety of rolls- we are trying to get our favorites and then one new roll when we go. My daughter does not eat meat and she loves the avocado roll. The location is small, busy, and expect for there to be a wait. They have buzzers that let you know when your food is done so you can wait in your car.

We have been going to Yo Sushi Fairfield for years as everything is always very good. The Martinez store is also very good, but, about a year ago the Fairfield store declined in quality so we tried other restaurants in the area and even drove from Fairfield to Martinez. I have to say that we gave the Fairfield store a try recently and thank goodness they bounced back and the quality is back on track. We went last night (April 2 2023) and everything was INCREDIBLE!!!

Great customer service, very friendly and flavorful food. My husband would give this a two star because our food was soggy. The flavor was great but all our rolls were soggy. We ordered two different baked rolls (can’t remember which ones), a Travis and the crab mania. The shrimp was so tiny. I really wanted to love this place. Unfortunately we will be trying another place.

Second review since reopening due to accident of building.Shrimp tempura was excellent like before.Spam Musabi was dry nori, was not wrapped correctly, too loosely wrapped.Sushi ordered was horrible. Sauce under all of our sushi tasted nasty and made the sushi fall apart. The tobiko that came on our sushi and the fish used in our sushi was not fresh.Associates speaking Spanish the entire time we were there ruined our Asian Meal atmosphere. We frequented this establishment for years after today we will no longer return.

When we lived in Fairfield, CA. This was our go to Sushi spot. We frequented here. The restaurant was conveniently located nearby our old house, approximately half a mile away.Weve tried several sushis, bento boxes and theyre all delicioso!! I tried the udon soup and it was not good as the noodles were hard and tasted old.Therefore, I never ordered again.I dont have pictures that show justice but trust me, youll love it like we did. When back in town, I will stop by again.

This is usually my to go to place for sushi, this time I placed my order online to pick up when ready. I arrive & let them know I placed my order to go, they couldn’t find my order but after a few mins of looking through the system they found my order & let me know it would be a few mins until it was ready ok fine i don’t mind waiting. I get home to eat my rolls & every roll I pick up to eat is falling apart, the shrimp has a funny taste to it & now I’m just hoping it doesn’t make me sick. I hope new owners/management can get it back to how it was before

I never leave a bad review... absolutely had to do so here.Went on Saturday and ordered two rolls and waited an hour for them. I understand that sometimes there is a wait, but you could warn a customer that there is going to be a long wait. My partner and I were at risk of being late to the event we were going to. No warning, no estimate, nothing.When we finally got our rolls, they were mediocre at best. Im being generous actually; I have had grocery store takeaway sushi that had better flavor.My beef teriyaki roll 1) did not look like the picture 2) was missing ingredients 3) the meat tasted bland. No beef or teriyaki flavor to be found here.My partners roll also barely had any flavor. Maybe this was just an off day, or maybe this place has gone down hill in recent times. In any case, I will not be back.Save a few bucks and get sushi at a grocery store or at Walmart. Tastes the same to this place.As a bonus, you wont be waiting a year and half for your order.

The lion king roll and karaage were well seasoned and cooked. The only thing is the food quality seems to differ between weekdays and weekends. I found the food better on the weekends but also more busy. Even with that I have had nothing but good experiences with the service and food.

Great take out Sushi, they are really good about special requests. Ive tried all the sushi in the area and this is my go to for take out. I usually order ahead on the phone and they text you when its ready.They have a huge menu with several vegetarian friendly options and everything I have had from there was very fresh and tasty. They are usually pretty busy whenever I go but pretty quick for the volume they do, they tend to quote a longer wait time but it ends up done early. The people are super nice and never mess up my order. my wife (who is not a vegetarian and eats the stuff with fish). Also loves their food. They have non sushi options if youre trying to get your sushi fix with someone who doesnt do sushi or isnt in the mood.Im a vegetarian and love vegetable tempura cut rolls, its not on the menu but once I explain what I want they are happy to make it and dont seem put out about it the way many places do. Vegetable tempura cut rolls are a great way to give vegetarians more options using stuff all sushi places already have but for some reason most sushi places treat you like an alien asking for something crazy, you make vegetable tempura, cut it up and throw it in a roll, its the veggie version of a crunch roll, most places give at least a bit of attitude if they are even willing to make it, but not these guys. They may seem a little confused but once they know what you want they happily do it, and do it well. I think its $2 extra over a veggie roll, which seems very fair.I wish more sushi places were veggie friendly, there is a great vegan sushi place in San Francisco and they have a line down the block and are booked from opening till closing, they have a full menu of special vegan sushi rolls and their food is super next level. That may be a little too much to expect around here but I would love a short vegetarian menu with a few special rolls but short of that, a place that will take special requests and not treat you crazy for wanting something veggie with a little crunch is very nice to have.

Disappointing. The rolls we ordered were way too big to eat a slice in one bite, sloppy looking, and half the expected length. It’s like they wanted to just use a half sheet of nori with the same amount of rice. New patio is nice but no garbage can. We had enjoyed this place in the past but will probably choose a different sushi place in the future.

Ordered 3 rolls and an appetizer online. After completing my payment I got an estimated wait time of over an hour and a half. Now I get that its a Friday around dinner time but and hour and a half for 3 rolls and an app is ridiculous for a place only doing takeout. After I received the text telling me how long I would have to wait I called immediately to cancel the order, after which the girl on the phone told theyd be holding on to my money for about 2-3 business days. I dont write reviews like this but the attitude I got from the check stand girl was outrageous considering how polite I was being about the whole thing.

First time here. Staff was friendly and the place was really cute and clean. The fish was fresh and not smelly. A ton of menu choices with pictures for each which was fantastic for ease of ordering! They have two deep fried options, one is traditional tempura batter and the other is like a chicken nugget breading. I was not a fan of the later option. It was too dense for such delicate food like sushi and the crunch, or texture, of it was odd. Ill definitely go back because it wasnt expensive but Ill have to read the menu details better this time so I can avoid the non-tempura items because, lets get real, who doesnt enjoy deep fried options when it comes to sushi!?

The very reason I dont try new places but the wifey wanted what she wanted. Was in the area and looked it up, had good reviews..so dropped by. We ordered 2 rolls and 1 ramen bowl. We started laughing to each other once we saw our bags of food. Laughed even more when we saw the presentation and preparation of the food. Sadly, our laughter stopped when we tasted the food. The sushi rolls couldnt even compare to the grocery stores. I received a half of a hard boiled egg in my $12 ramen bowl. Its my fault for counting on the reviews and coming here but if youve given this place 5 stars....please find a proper sushi restaurant and have your mind blown. Im all about supporting small business but Ill take my business elsewhere with service like this.

It happened this morning, and it just happened again right now.I called ahead to pick up a party tray, (when I ask how long I expect a good estimate don’t overpromise and under deliver)I was told an hour and when I got here I had to wait another hour. Like I said it happened twice in one day, and I get it if you’re busy, but I have managed restaurants before, it doesn’t matter how busy you are or if the rush lasts all day, you just get organized and reduce that prep time.I wasn’t the only one, There were other upset customers present as well.If you just definitely can’t handle it just stop taking orders. The Fairfield location does not compare to the Vallejo location. Ordered takeout and spent $100 for very poor quality food.Teriyaki chicken was very dry and barley had any sauce and the sushi rolls were disgusting. The rice was very soggy and made the sushi inedible. Last time I will go to this location.Skip this location. Take the extra 10min and drive over to the Vallejo Yo’s.

Order online to cut down your wait time which can be long (10-25min) if you come in and order. 4 of the 4 rolls we ordered fell apart when we went to pick them up. Portions were small to keep the prices down.Hoping this was just a bad day and this isnt the norm. Gonna give this spot another chance. I really want this place to be good.

Lovely little hole in the wall! Many different delicious sushi rolls to chose from, gyoza, bento boxes, spam musubi and much more. The atmosphere is always really nice and fun tunes usually playing with music videos to enjoy while you grub. The only downside of this place is the amount of space inside to dine. The table space and dining area is a very confined space, but there is an option for outdoor seating. I have been going to this place for about 9 years. It was remodeled not too long ago, after a car had ran into the building, but they did a great job fixing it up! Overall the place is great and I will continue to be a future customer! The reviews were not wrong! This place is great! It has a take out vibe, with only five, four seater tables inside and a few picnic tables outside, so I was a little worried the sushi wouldnt be as great as a regular sit down place, but I was wrong! The sushi is probably the best of the six or seven sushi places my brother and I have tried in Fairfield. The Fantasy roll was amaze-balls! We will definitely be back!

Great place for sushi but also offer cooked meals that are just as good. As with all sushi places they have some good choices but it can be unique and they dont use a lot of sauces. With friends it can be difficult to find a seat indoors during peak times. They have covered outdoor seating as well. I think the prices can be inline with other places or just a little bit high. People are always nice and it will take usually 10-15 minutes to get your food minimum. I see people call ahead. One thing they will do that I really appreciate, they will make your sushi to order. If you cant eat something (allergy) they will make the roll without that ingredient, no hassle.

We went here and ordered quite a bit of food to go, including a combo platter. I expected to wait for a while, but they were done in about 10 minutes! Its great they include lots of rice and sauce. Sashimi was decent, some generic rolls with the platter, but they were also fairly enjoyable.

Been to their Vallejo location many times, just moved to Suisun and tried this place twice now.Its definitely a sushi to go place, no dine in option like the Vallejo location. Although there were a few picnic benches outside.Solid sushi, so many options. The website makes it a breeze to order, especially clicking boxes to special order add/omit.They always include soy sauce, napkins, and chop sticks in the bag. Nah! This location is near me so it is the only reason I will go some times. But super rare. Poor quality. Poor service. But recently went. Sometimes rather get Raleys sushi. Stuff like avocado is supposed to be in most things that I order but they dont put much in there my rolls. A cheap roll somewhere will stuff avocado in it for fun but this place hides it in the back not inside your roll I guess you do not it get what you pay for. There are no prices on their rolls so you have no clue how much the cost. All the rolls in my party were roll very poorly like a new person might have done them? Because I bet not, Everything fell out. Last Vallejo location so much better. And we(as in my party) all agree on the last one.

Sushi is OK. Their ordering style is sort of like ordering from a food truck. No waitresses. Order at counter, get a coaster pager, food pick up at the counter when paged. Pretty simple, but the prices dont really reflect the lack of service. Priced just slightly below other sushi restaurants. Bathrooms are outside. Not good for groups as they wont fit and will be in the way of others. Staff is also not friendly. Theyre not rude, but really just basic. Hello, take your order, pay, heres your food. As for taste, the food is better than the place looks. Does not say much, but at least theyre trying to impress you.

TIP- ORDER ONLINE TO REDUCE WAIT TIME!!!Me and my kids all ordered lion king rolls(3). All three of them completely fell apart when we tried to pick them up with our chop sticks. Before you judge our ability to use chop sticks, know weve traveled around the world using them and have had lion king rolls at 8 other restaurants.Otherwise, place is small, portions are small, but the food is good.Im actually rooting for this place though. Im hoping this was a one time thing. Ill give this place another shot on account of their reputation and follow up.

This place has lots of options. Sushi, bento box, teriyaki chicken and more. If you try this place you will find something you like. I am not a sushi lover but with all of the options most people can find something. I personally like the dragon.This place is really small with a capacity on 20 in the building. They have outside seating as well. So if you are planning to eat there you have options.The customer service is good even though the place can get busy. Im not 100% but appears to be family own and operated. Overall I think that is worth trying out. I will definitely return.

I cant wait until it reopens. My mother-in-law who is Japanese loves their food and its really priced and its right down the street. You can call in ahead or you can go in and order and Ill give you a little thing to get at a bar or something that beeps when youre order is ready. Theres limited seating but that may change with the remodel. Once its back I highly recommend it if youre into Japanese food.

I’ve been to yo sushi a couple times before and this was the first time my roll was leaking something, so I asked the chef/owner if he could remake it or if I could exchange it for something else and he has so rude about it. He went off on me, grabbed it with his bare hands and told me it was good, threw it back in my plate before walking away from me. We got a party platter that had a variety of rolls, tempura and a sashimi tray and the only one I liked was the spicy tuna roll.
