2023-06-16 02:29:26The food is good. Portions are on the small size. Compared to other Japanese restaurants around here they give very little ingredients in dishes. The seafood udon had one clam and Im used to getting 3 or 4. It had one shrimp mostly broth and noodles. Its kind of overpriced for what they give you. I also had the bento box with salmon but the salmon was tiny like two fingers worth. Its ok but its small portions and premium price. Oh I almost forgot the waitress was bad. She never checked back. Never refilled drinks. Host was nice maybe shes the owner.

2023-09-01 14:00:11My daughter and I were in Redwood City visiting a relative at Kaiser. We were hungry for lunch. Where to for lunch, Yokohama or Mays Vietnamese Cuisine? Both restaurants are on Broadway. As a matter fact, there are several restaurants on Broadway, which means plenty of choices. We decided on Yokohama. I havent had Japanese food in a good while. First time here, so I did not know what to expect. Perusing the menu, it didnt take me long to decide what I wanted - Vegetables, Options A (vegetables tempura, agedashi tofu [3 pcs], wakame). This item was a bento box lunch, which included miso soup, gyoza, salad with miso dressing and rice. The other item I ordered was an eight piece of California Special sushi roll (real crab and avocado). Beverage was an Arnold Palmer, which was a change from a hot cup of green tea.My daughter had goo goo ga ga and miso soup. I chuckled at the name of her dish because it sounded like baby talk. It wasnt baby size sushi roll. They certainly looked delicious.Needless to say, I ordered too much food. My eyes got bigger than my stomach. I could not finish my lunch. Leftover veggie tempura! I enjoyed my lunch.Service was wonderful and the ambiance quite nice. The lunch crowd came in just before we left. That told me the food must be very good.

2022-10-20 03:45:48Amazing service! Came here for a friends birthday and it was a great night! Not only did they let us bring our own cake, they even prepared a funky birthday hat for my friend.Food was excellent, had the dinner combo and it filled me up!Definitely recommend this place for birthdays. The vibe is super friendly and the servers take great care of you.

2022-11-15 03:13:07Tasty and efficient service. They have better tasting sushi rolls than most places. Salmon teriyaki can be seasoned a bit more but the rest of the food were great! Highly recommend!

2022-06-26 21:04:37The sushi was great! Good flavor and good temperature. They had a sizeable selection of rolls and offered noodles (Udon & -sobas). The seating was nice, the servers were friendly, Id be very happy to hear here again.

2023-11-01 05:31:39Great spot to have lunch. Recommend the chirashi bowl over the sushi combo (too much California roll in the sushi combo for my tastes). Both of these come with miso soup and a basic salad. Generally good cuts of fish and the price is reasonable.

2023-08-17 03:28:22Food is fine but portions are absurdly small for the price. To make things worse, they charge for condiments like spicy Mayo and didn’t include ours on the order. Lunch boxes are not bad but again, small for what it is - rolls are on the smaller side. Would not return.

2023-11-07 21:21:58This is a safe option for Sushi - the food is good and the staff are friendly and efficient. Its location makes it a great choice for a family dinner or date night since you can go for a walk around town afterwards or stop at a nearby bar like Nighthawk for an after-dinner drink.

2023-11-07 17:53:29Very kid friendly because the medium noise level in the restaurant makes it hard to hear the kids 🤣. Theres not a ton of high chairs though so dont count on getting one if youre going during peak hours. It turns out to be a little pricey for what you get and the staff is sometimes a little snippy, but weve always been able to get a seat and the food is decent, especially the specialty sushi rolls. They dont offer tobiko on specialty rolls anymore 😭 which makes me a little sad.
