We had to leave at 11pm at night becauss we couldnt get any sleep from passing traffic all night. Please upgrade to double pane windows! Friendly service thought.
Our stay at Yosemite Sierra Inn was overall a positive experience. The rooms were clean and they included the toiletries, coffee, refrigerator, and microwave. If all you are looking for is a place to sleep, the rate we were charged was perfect for that as other hotels in the area are more expensive. The air conditioner was quite noisy though. The only drawback is that it takes about one and a half hours to drive to Yosemite Valley.
Nice staff, clean room. Supermarkets, gas station, restaurants in walking distance. It is still quite a drive to the Yosemite National Park, so even though I had a positive experience in the hotel, I might look for an accommodation closer to the park next time.
We got a great deal on the room We had a problem with the tv I called the office and they were there in minutes and fixed the problem in less then two minutes.
The staff were very accommodating to our needs and very friendly. Great location to parks, restaurants and shops.
I would like to warn everyone against staying at this Inn. It is run by Indian scammers who will cheat you out of your money. I booked a room with two double beds and there was no option to select the number of people, only a maximum of 4 people was stated. However, when I arrived with my two children and partner, they charged me an additional $44 claiming that I had exceeded the maximum of two people allowed. Later, I found out that they were charging $10 per person on their website.This type of deceptive behavior should be avoided at all costs. I strongly urge everyone to stay away from this hotel and not fall victim to their unethical practices.
Room was dirty there were screws missing everywhere wether it was Doors or the door privacy lock or the damn toilet which caused the toilet seat to be all loose, beds where horribly hard and gave me bad pain in my neck the the most horrible laughable thing was that theyre Listing stated Breakfast was included but when i went Down all there was was Coffee, juices and some cheap store bought mini muffins i was glad that i only had a short stay rather go to the best Western next to it

Not bad for the price. The AC could be a bit stronger for very warm nights, but not a deal breaker for me.
I will tell you about i experience this time not what the owner say he is going to do. The beds are like sleeping on a rock. They dont hay a regular coffee maker. Just a dingo serve. Their coffee is no good. I always bring my own coffee and filters. I managed to fold the filter to fit in the machine. They still show coffee and orange juice being served in the Check in area on their web. It is NOT true. The Hampton and the Holiday Inn Express do serve breakfast. The last night there I slept on the floor and got a better nights sleep. If he does what he told me he is going to do. Future guests will have a good experience. I did NOT!!! This was a VERY BAD Trip!!!
Clean rooms, reasonable breakfast and 1 hour from the Yosemite South Gate.

The hotel is nice, clean and comfortable. Not very expensive but is very good. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The view of mountains is exceptionally beautiful from the outside walkway.The mornings breakfast is just adequate for me. Enough variety for a free breakfast.The cleaning ladies cleaned and tidied the rooms every day and restocked the supplies every other day.Overall a memorable experience
It takes a lot for me to write a bad review, but this place certainly left a bad impression. First and foremost, way too overpriced. I understand rates are going to get raised in the middle of tourist season, but for the amount that is being charged I expected a lot more. The room was NOT clean! The bare minimum was accomplished in order to turn the room over to the next guest, but there was dirt on the floor, long black hair all over the place, and the room smelled like mildew. WiFi never worked and the soda machine was almost fully empty. I had to mess around with the refrigerator just to get it working correctly. If you can avoid staying here, I would! It looks like they are building some brand new hotels just down the road, so perhaps it will be better for those in future.
Staff was extremely nice! Got us in last minute when campgrounds in Yosemite were full. Clean rooms and looked as though recently renovated. Small breakfast, but all the essentials. Would definitely recommend!

The fridge froze the food we had brought. Dont even think of eating breakfast here as, like many others have said, its simply toast and cold cereal. Our room was right next to the stairs, no elevator here, and we heard people stomping up and down all day/night long. No washcloths available. The mattresses need to be replaced, pillows are like marshmallows, so squishy. The staff was nice enough but we definitely wont be staying here again, there are far too many other choices in the area.
The room was really nice and clean, but it is a little pricey. Breakfast was just toast, cereal, and fruit. The stay was nice took a warm shower bathtub was roomy, and the vanity was outside the bathroom which is great when you are sharing a room.

Would not stay here again, very overpriced and the worse stay we had while in California. Definitely a place that rips tourists off. Room was okay but bathroom was a little dirty. Breakfast was the worse I have seen anywhere, we went to breakfast at 7:30 am and they only had a few slices of bread with some juices, some cereals and milk. I asked where the water was and the hotel attendant told us people usually just get the water from the faucet or buy a bottled water from the drink machine. Very disappointed.
Overall it wasnt bad. Was told it was remodeled room when only the bathroom was remodeled. Walls are paper thin.....they could have spaced the occupants out because there were only 8 cars in the parking lot. Breakfast was very limited ....cereal (Raisin Bran was not Kellogs even though it was labeled as such) and the milk was a bit sour.....or somewhat dried bread for toast. I wouldnt complain but price could have been better.
I arrived around 10:30 PM and should not have stayed here. I asked for a discounted rate due to late check-in and was given $180.00 below the $220.00 standard rate which is laughable all on its own. When the front desk clerk gave me the bill it totaled $220 so she lied. I was way too tired to fight it and should’ve left. I confronted her and she gave me a sheepish grin knowing what she did. Now, the room was laughable for $220 a night. I had to call the front desk to turn on cable and WiFi. Mind you, she didn’t answer the phone, let it ring, and then it magically switched on. They updated the carpet with cheap wood flooring and the bathroom was dirty and old. Skip this place.
Room was good for the price. But the shower didnt work. I called front desk to see if we can get it fixed or something. They said that they would send someone to fix it. No one came. I had to fix it myself. At check out I brought it up to the person working the desk. His attitude was that I should have fixed it myself (which I did) and I shouldnt bother him with it. Why is it my responsibility to fix the shower in a hotel where I am staying. At the very least we should have switched rooms, one that had a working shower. Never again will I stay there. Just on the customer service alone. Didnt even bother with the free breakfast. And by the other reviews Ive read, I didnt miss a thing.
Not clean. Old shower curtains with hair in them. I mean how much does it cost to replace a shower curtain? Really. Bad smell in room. Old sheets and bed covers. One of those hotels where you pull the covers back to check for hairs. Light receptacles on walls without covers, bath fixtures falling off. Get this they are charging my company 219$ a night! I’ve stayed in 60$ a night hotels that were of the same caliber.
Horrible stay. Never experience such bad experience in a motel. First,I booked a smoke free room and as soon as we enter the room smelled nasty, some one definitely smoke and put air refreshner to cover the smelled.Next, the room was dusty and the sheets had funky smelled. Then I used the shower and it clogged like 2min after. Horrible experience.
The room was good, but I didnt like the service of the staff ... I called asking some things and the lady couldnt understand me and she just said OH MY GOD! in a very desperate tone, which I mean its your job being helpful!!! After doing the check in they man of the staff looked like if they were doing us a favor for staying there, which I mean I WAS PAYING!! If you want to stay for one night its okey but for more its not worthy.
The service was good, they had our room ready for us earlier than the scheduled check in time which was nice. The room was decent sized and had a good view. Although this hotel has WiFi it takes a while to get connected and then it turns off and on a few times before finally it stops all together, tried on apple and Android phones the WiFi is definitely not useable. One other note the walls are a little thin on the 4th floor cant comment on the others. Would I stay here again? Probably yes it was a decent price and is closer than the other hotels in town to Yosemite national park.
Things to keep in mind:- The motel has four floors, but no elevator. There isnt help available for bringing your luggage to the room.- It is very hot during summer, and their poor AC takes a while to cool down the room.- There is no running AC at the reception area, nor the area where breakfast is served. It is boiling hot.- The beds are uncomfortable.- The towels provided are old and often stained (or worse).- The provided breakfast is quite poor.- The Internet access is almost non-existent, as it is excruciatingly slow, and unreliable.- T-Mobile service is non-existent, but a block away it is fully available (including LTE).We will not return to it. The only reason we booked in it was because all other hotels were fully booked, and the only one with availability was this one. If that is your case, remember: you get what you paid for--and this place isnt cheap either.
Nice staff. Hotel itself was good, breakfast did the job and room was nice. Was an hour and 20 (roughly) to get into yosemite each day, a bit far for my liking but thats not the hotels fault!
The room was completely void of any cigarette odor. They had all the good TV channels for all ages. The shower was easy to operate.
Nice rooms and convenient. Was a little perturbed by the lady working there who continued to shame the male employee not only over the phone when we reserved but she did it again when we checked in. Aside from her negativity we did enjoy our stay.
Huge fire in Yosemite, they would not offer any type of cancelations, so if you are planning a trip wait til the fire dies down or you wont be able to see anything in Yosemite.Update:Im glad they didnt let me cancel cuz my trip was awesome, but next time will stay elsewhere for cheaper.This place was just way to expensive for its quality.The main sell is its location.Breakfast was beyond booty, old cereal, old fruit, old bread, the juice was great tho, and the coffee didnt look too bad.Air did blow cold air but barely blows, room did get hot but my ac at home doesnt cool my living room perfect either in a Cali summer.Sitting in front of it works tho.The room was mediocre.Bed not great, room REEKED of raid roach spray for both nights.There was hair in multiple spots in the room when we checked in, including the fridge, sink, and tub.The roof had water damage, unsightly but didnt affect much.Indian guy who answered phone was a dick, the lady at the desk was very nice and curtoeus tho.While the place isnt that good it does have some positives nice tv with Dish, fridge, microwave, were cool, place has a pool, Yosemite is close, and best of all Parking if on the 4th floor is literally right up to your door.
This was one of 6 hotels we stayed at during our road trip and this one by far ranked last. It was overpriced for sure, there was no breakfast (not even to-go bags like the other hotels), the room was hot when we came in, the decor is outdated, it’s at least an hour from Yosemite, it was very difficult to lock the room (I tried pulling on it hard, slamming it, and tried closing it as normal over and over with no luck) and to top it off the male front desk man was rude. I asked him to check out the door and when he came up he blamed me for the door instead of trying to get to the bottom of it. I will never stay here again nor would I recommend it. If I were you, I would check out any of the other hotels in Oakhurst.
Does its job if youre stopping on your way to or from Yosemite, or are looking for an inexpensive base camp. The juiciest parts of Yosemite are about an hours drive away, and Bass Lake is right there. But what drew me to the place was the free breakfast, but very disappointed. Luckily, Dennys is right smack next door. Minus a star for breakfast. Minus a star for the area around the hotel. If you came here to relax, sorry. Makes a better base camp.

It was very big and clean room! we booked for 2 night for our visit to YNP and it only 20 mins drive.
I travel a lot and covered 90% of major locations of United States. But I never felt this type of insult in my life. It is my usual request by email to every hotel (before I board in) to allocate me a clean and bug-free room (as I am allergic to bed-bugs and I was travelling with my 8 months old kid). But this time the response I got is shocking - “We do our job seriously.. I hope You don’t bring beg bugs to us ..” – I don’t think it is a professional response to a polite professional mail. Why will I bring bed-bugs to your Hotel when I am allergic to it??? And when I responded that saying – “Sorry to say, I did not like your tone of the response. The response does not sound any professionalism” I got a response “Thanks” on top of it - sooo arrogant. I was so upset with the behavior that immediately booked other Hotel and cancelled this hotel’s reservation. I did not face this type of arrogance in my life and don’t like to face that. Sorry Yosemite Sierra Inn, I won’t visit you.
Service was awesome but rooms are absolutely not worth the price we were charged. Rooms are like a normal motel room, which is certainly fine by me and would have felt nice if not for the constant pain in my head I felt from paying over 400 dollars for two nights.
Very few towels, the coffee machine looked like it wasnt clean in a very long time. There was no breakfast, even though it says breakfast in included in the website.
I dont understand the very negative ratings.. Agreed, the breakfast is very minimal and the wifi is exceptionally slow, but the room was very tidy and included some nice extra things such as a fridge, coffeemachine and microwave. Yosemite valley is only an one and a half hour drive from here. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and knew everything about local restaurants in town. The price is in a normal range considering the proximity to Yosemite.
Rooms are available but the stairs for the rooms upstairs are ok. Front desk attendant was pretty much tired when I got here rushed me out of there. But this town doesnt have anything to do In it. No Walmart, nothing to do. Fresno is 45 minutes away. So enjoy your room.
My room was absolutely filthy and disgusting. It looked nothing like the picture from the Website. Pubic and head hair all over the bathroom floor, unknown dried up fluid on the linoleum floor in the main area of the room, hand and finger prints all over the head board, unknown fluid markings on the pillows when the cases fell off and makeup on the sheets. The bedding was like from the 70s not The bedding in the pictures AT ALL. Mattress was hard and squeaky. The fuzz on the fuzzy blanket was shedding and I was scared I would breath in the fibers. Ive stayed in many hotels in my life and have NEVER been in a place so offensive ever. Especially for the price. I also took pictures of all of this.
Overpriced place to sleep and shower. $300 for two nights, which was a good rate on Expedia for them. I would be willing to spend more for way nicer accommodations, such as the Yosemite Southgate Hotel next door. The two new hotels going in just to the north of the property should officially put this place out of business. I believe they are Hampton Inn and Residence Inn right next to the Holiday Inn. No breakfast or pool due to COVID. Place I stayed at in Fresno my last night on my trip to Yosemite offered pool/jacuzzi plus breakfast so it is possible during the pandemic. Also I left a hair clip in my room and when I called to ask about it they said the housekeeping didnt find it.
Very great location and distance from Yosemite national park, the town is beautiful and the area is awesome. Good view of the mountain from right outside my window. My only issues were with the continental breakfast and the wifi.
A good place to start your trip to the national park. We had a room in the 4th floor and still could park the car directly in front of the room like in a motel.😉 Its because the building is built into the mountain behind it 😉 The included reakfast was nothing special, it was a bit strange to me that they used disposable plates. All in all ok😊

There is a pool at the hotel which my boys were able to use but I was able to wash their wet clothes because there was no washer or dryer for guest. I was sent to a nearby laundromat at 9:30pm. What an inconvenience.
Easy check-in and friendly staff. We were early and our room wasnt ready but they checked us in and gave us a key so when we came back we could go straight to our room. Room was clean and pleasant.

I had spoiled apple for continental breakfast. Room was shirt if soap and shampoo for a family. TV did not work right. Guests above were making alot if heavy noises after 11pm. Lost sleep after long visit at Yosemite.
Was there to pick up a fellow co-worker we were working the river fire up by Mariposa, Oakhurst and the little town Raymond. Supplying Cal Fire with water for their fire engines. The fire burned over nine thousand six hundred acres. No structural damage or deaths occurred during the fire. Everyone did a great job containing the fire.

Very Pricy, Worst wifi, little stinky toilet. Noisy as CA 41 passes in front of the hotel, Breakfast totally basic with smallest coffee cups. However, room was ok with comfortable queen beds but patio lights shine in the room and there is no way to block it as windows have basic drapery. My recommendation would be to check the rooms elsewhere in Oakhurst away from CA 41 before checking-in to this motel. Staff is cooperative but amenities doesnt justify the higher prices at all.My advice for the people visiting Yosemite would be to find the hotels on CA 41 after leaving Fresno or before the Oakhurst. Yosemite needs minimum 2 days time to comfortably enjoy and hike. Always keep water handy as there is no water available on the trails. Glacier point, Half dome, Valley and Falls are must watch points. A great place to visit and well worth a journey. Gas inside the park is very expensive so top up the tank before entering the park. Bad restrooms in the park.

Lovely time. Breathtaking where ever we looked! Hiked, picnic, rode our bikes.So much fun! Call Highway Patrol If you go during the winter, park nay close if weather is really bad.Always check for road closures due to black ice or snow. Its a lovely drive there & back Tohaga Pass or hwy 395, make sure you pack well, blankets, pillows, warm clothing, flashlights, water, food, go prepared!!!!Never know when you maythave to stop on the Highway due to weather condition. Tell family friends where your going, when you plan to return. A well planned trip, great memories, #1safety first!!! Call hwyway patrol before you leave. Well worth this little preparation so youll enjoy your time & that lovely drive just to get away, its beautiful! Always be safe!

I called to extend my reservation, and had to repeat my email address 4 times, they still sent the confirmation to the wrong email address. And when I checked the confirmation, they had the wrong dates reserved. I had to call again, and no one answered. Then I finally got in touch with someone and they were going to try to charge me double for one night and didnt have a reservation for my second night. i think they finally got everything sorted out, but I will never go through this painstaking process again.
Super friendly staff. The owner went out of there way to make me feel comfortable and at home. I will be coming back in the future for a stay.

It was really nice and clean there is nothing better than enjoying the mountains clean fresh air being in Oakhurst and coarsegold on this weekend alot to see and nice long walks .

2023-09-24 17:40:52A bit of a rundown hotel with no elevator. However, they have done a nice job keeping it up and the rooms are fairly clean. Service was OK but the location is excellent. We chose this because it was definitely the best deal. For the value, these guys are just great.

2023-10-08 15:11:38Great location, however I would not stay here. I paid for my room ahead of time and spent almost $300. When we arrived we were given the keys and told they might not be clean yet. Went up around the back to room 402, there was the cleaning crew still working on several rooms. They were using an old broom and a spin mop. We left our stuff in the car and went to our event. As we walked down the stairs (no elevator) you can see dirt and grime dripping down the walls. When we returned the state of the room had not changed. While the surfaces looked clean the walls, floor and even air conditioner were covered in filth and grime. There was a spot on the floor that smeared when I dragged my foot across it. We proceeded to the front desk and told them what happen. We were told we could not have a refund because we used the room. We did not. We were in there for 2 minutes. I have never seen such filth in a hotel that charges that much per night. I am not someone who expects perfection but the areas in this hotel that look like they have never been cleaned was astonishing. Thankful it was just my husband and I as I drove 3.5 hours home because I couldnt stay there or find another hotel.

2023-08-19 00:47:05Awful experience at this hotel. First bad surprise was the unplugged fridge full of ants. I had to clean it before I could put my food in it. Also, I had to close tightly any food so that the ants that were invading the room wont get into it. Second bad surprise some less than half of a toilet paper with no additional toilet paper to replace it like other hotels do. And the most concerning side of this stay is that the housekeeping helped himself/herself to the food we left in the room. And I was glad I took with me most of the food I brought and left it in the cooler because I knew I could not trust this place. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.

2023-07-24 04:54:06It is 1 hour away from Yosemite National Park entrance. Perfect place to stay for our last minute plans. Parking is free and room is clean and air conditioned. It was an economic stay compared to all other places we looked near the park. Will recommend stay if traveling to Yosemite and wish to live a bit farther from the park.

2023-07-19 03:47:17Skip it if you don’t want to ruin your experience to the yosimite 😤Hotel is outdated in every single detail. Hygiene is an issue! In the room and in their pool .. you can see the dirt floating 😢AC was a decor, I had to sleep shirtless and took me more than hour to be able to sleep.Breakfast!!! Seriously.. you better make yours or plan it outside..I have been to several hotels on my road trip to California & Oregon and never been asked about kids as hotel policies in general welcome them if less than 13. Yet, this hotel charged for kids over 4 years a 20$ each !! and don’t expect any extra bed !! I booked a non refundable rate and arrived late otherwise I would not let them do so ..I paid almost 270$ on this junk which gives more better options in the area.

2023-06-18 04:12:26Weve had our fair share of motels through our stays across the country... At first glance it looks like an older motel but my kids even appreciated how clean and sanitary it felt in our room. I would stay here WITH my kids every time were in the area. You can tell they take pride in what they do. It was nice to actually sleep knowing youre in a clean room :)The bed wasnt the best comfort but I could care less if theyre keeping the bugs out and the room spotless.Hindsight I should have taken pictures for proof. :) I dont like reviewing unless they deserve it for better or for worse

2023-08-13 04:07:54Room was very nice and clean. This was the cheapest hotel we could find and it was great. About 25 min away from Yosemite entrance. Would come here again!

2023-07-11 14:07:42Clean, quiet and a good price. This was the perfect overnight stop on the way to Yosemite. The South Entrance at Wawona is only 30 minutes away.
