This was the free bowl when you downloaded the app and register. You can choose between beef or chicken (I got beef). Then choose veggies (which I had everything). The server here was very nice actually, but the amount of beef I got was less than the amount I had when I ate at another Yoshinoya location. Rice and veggie portion was impressive. Beef tasted good but the veggies didn’t taste very clean to me. It feels like they didn’t wash it well before boiling. I ended up discarded all the veggies except for the broccoli. They have a small parking lot. Pretty crowded at lunch time but the wait was not long.

Was pretty questionable going In. placing my order was simple. Staff was very patient & understanding of my requests, fairly clean & roomie restroom[1] (restaurant required a code for the restroom). Receiving my order was well packaged & ready to take home but opted to dine in, food was spectacular got three Boba teas all made perfectly all flavorful & perls were fresh & soft. Beef was cooked to perfection rice was fresh & chicken is always a must have. Staff kept the restaurant clean & was very accommodating giving all condiments in generous portions

Omfg. Worlds SLOWEST workers. All I ordered was a side order of gyoza and it took them damn near 20 freakin mins to pack up STEAMED gyoza for my to-go order. Baffled what could have taken them so damn long to serve steamed anything but what do I know...well besides that I probably aint going back there!

Been to here over the years, largely no issue. Today, dropped by again at noon, to get my quota of omega 3 and protein. The girl was no fuss, I was zipping through the line in no time. It’s not perfect, the fish was fine, whereas the beef was a little too chewy and bland. Might be dinner hours would have been simmered sufficiently, hence appetizing enough!

I ordered a large original beef bowl and 1 large grilled beef bowl and the size of the grilled beef bowl was significantly smaller than the original. Shouldnt they be the same size (quantity)??There was nothing grilled about the beef either. It was just the original with sauce drizzled all over it. See for yourself...You be the judge.

This my first foray into this Japanese Fast Food Restaurant. It is located in Alhambra, California which has a large and lovely Asian community I seriously thought this would be much better. I grew up eating all types of cuisine and there is not much I can say about this place that is going to be encouraging. If Subway could make a worse bland sandwich, if McDonalds sold a complex meal that became homogenized in the process of development this is Yoshinoya. I had the Gyudon Beef and Teriyaki Chicken. I am on the 16/8 intermittent fasting diet and can only eat up to 3 pm and so I really eat at lunch time. The rice was a fat zero and the vegetables were not far behind. Unfortunately I had never had Gyudon Beef and even though at the Mongolian BBQ your meat is also thinly sliced it was from a solid part of the cow before it became sliced. My lunch meat was as if it was turned into a larger nugget of meat from every trimmed piece they could find, then sliced. Seriously if I wanted some thinly sliced beef from ARBYs I wouldve gone to Arbys and ordered the Half Pound Roast Beef with extra veggies [I do enjoy Arbys and when ya want Arbys ya get Arbys]. I have been to a few Donburi styled eateries before and thought this would be that level of experience. It was not. It was so not.I thought it would be better. The soy sauce was not very tasty either - low sodium - you put twice as much on your food which doesnt really help but oh well. When youre hungry youre hungry. This place was friendly, clean & tidy and it was busy and the food was hot: I wont do it again though. For balance of the previous statement - I have eaten twinkies and doughnuts more than once. [and will eat at least one churro next week]

I usually like the Yoshinoya food that is served. This latest experience left a lot to be desired. I ordered the combo bowl with Korean BBQ meatballs and chili shrimp. The meatballs were way overcooked and the shrimp made me feel like they were from a plastics display, as I tried to eat them. Some of the vegetables were slightly cool, while others were extremely hot.Im not fond of giving negative reviews, and look for to a positive update after my next dining out at that location.

This place is still open later than most other locations now it closes at 12midnite ... Although the food was good n they got my order correct. I still am disappointed I havent been able to try the udon noodles with my meal. Both times I have gone for dinner they had no more. ☹️☹️

Stale, boneless chicken wings are bland and hard. You can tell when its freezer burned then deep fried. Combo plates have more rice than veggies and/or meat. Disappointed quality and quantity for the meal price.The previous text was last year, this text is this is current as of 08272021...This a freaking joke, my wife went to get me the steak bbq meat, and the meal is dissatisfying again, its not even worth the coupon, the meat is bland, dry, and chewy like a microwave reheated meat, please dont get ripped by this so called premium meat for extra charge.....

The food here is okay, like a typical Yoshinoya. Just wish they would provide more meat to rice ratio, I do feel like they are very stingy about the meat here.The parking is shared with 4 other shops, but not generally busy. Although if you are here for a take out it takes about 15-20 minutes for your order.They are a bit understaffed and slow so not recommend if you need to grab it and go. But otherwise just another Yoshinoya.

I stopped by to pick up a late night dinner tonight and was greeted by a kind employee. He was patient while I placed my order.When my food waa ready, he noticed that an individual carrying a long stick was lingering around and he very thoughtfully walked me to my car. I did not expect that and I really appreciated that he prioritized helping me feel safe. His job did not stop at the register or the door, he ensured that my entire experience was positive. I also saw him explaining to another female customer that he will also walk her to her car so she leaves safely.I wish i knew this employees name! He deserves all the recognition.

Ever since the Yoshinoya app was introduced, its been a much more pleasant experience! I order online, and just go and pick it up! Dont have to waste time waiting around at the rather utilitarian restaurant, especially during the pandemic!However, for whatever reason, Yoshinoya took away the option of adding in paper coupon codes from advertising mailers or in physical mailboxes starting sometime in 2022, so now I have to go into the restaurant, wait in line, order, give the paper coupon, then wait for the good to be ready like before the app was introduced. So Yoshinoya is essentially going backwards in time. There are the occasional app coupons, but they are either NOT good deals (ie 2 boba drinks for$8, but they are ALREADY only$4 each in the restaurant) or EXTREMELY time limited (ie only 2 days to redeem)The app should also offer more customization options, such as extra onions or extra beef juice!

This location in Alhambra has been around for over 30 years. I remember stopping in more regularly back that long ago. My wife and I stopped in recently for dinner and ordered the original beef bowl, mine with veggies. The flavor is just the way I remembered it from our last dine in, which was well over a year and half ago. It is good to see that if there is nothing is wrong with a recipe why change it. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I go to this place a lot but recently either they are short-handed or under new man, when I went yesterday we waited 45 min for our order. I expected this to be a fast food type establishment. They were out of rice!!! I cannot believe it. Its like a burger place saying theyre out of buns… next time I might call ahead to make sure they are stocked before I head over.

One of my favorite Yoshinoya (Beef Bowl) locations. Many have shortened thier hours but this location extended their hours. Always great service. These folks work hard especially during these difficult times and are courteous. If Im in the area and need something cheap and fast its my go to joint. I have friends and coworkers that frequent this place for the same reasons.

My mom likes this place, but she’s disabled so I pick the food up for her when she wants me to. She always has her coupon, buy one, get one. So yesterday, I got the two chicken rice bowls for her. She asked if I wanted the other one, so I said ok- I hadn’t had one for awhile. Let me tell you, I was so disappointed, the chicken was 60% fat, the rice was hard, like it was last nights, even the broccoli and carrots were soggy. I couldn’t believe that the food was so bad. I told my mom we’re not going their again. We ll just have to find a better spot. It was bad!So- any suggestions on a new Chinese place around Alhambra?

I always enjoy their food, their service, and the quality of their food. Unfortunately, as I was eating a female transient who was panhandling inside approached me asking for money. Her hygiene was dirt and unsanitary. As two of the store managers watched, a female Hispanic, approximately in her 40s, and a male Hispanic in his 30s, observed this individual panhandling inside and did not do anything to stop, nor approached the customers. I understand that maybe it is policy not to approach this type of individual but at.least try to remedy this unsanitary process inside. I will never go back to this location and I have been going there for many years. I am disappointed at Yoshinoya management for ignoring this situation because this will then get back to others in the area and worsen. I tried to speak to them and Managers were so on their phones they ignored me as they did not see me. So very unfortunate. Maybe someone in Corporate can assist this issues with their local management and educate their management how to deal with this issue in the future.

I love Yosginoya but this store has a bad habit of cutting corners. Went in during late evening and the rice from my order taste like wet porridge and not fresh at all. I could only assume it is because they didnt want to cook a new batch of rice and just added water into the rice cooker to keep the rice moist. Someone really need to get their quality control together.

This Location has a very busy and tight parking lot so keep in mind when you drive in. The food is as expected to be (good) there is limited seating to eat in, (about 3 opens slots) and when you bundle the meal the soda they give is bottled, (soda fountain out of order since forever) The staff is cool and nice and they do give forks, chopsticks, ginger, soy sauce, chili, sriracha upon request. If they get the soda machine fixed so i can sip on soda as i wait for my food ill give a 4 star.

I really liked this location. The gentleman running the counter was very articulate and helped the cook when customers wanted extra onions and other things. It seems to get busy but thats not unsual for Yoshinoya.The only drawback was that my utensil was weirdly twisted and unuseable, so I asked for a replacement.

Any patron should come here with moderate expectations. This is a step up from McDonalds or Jack in the Box, but that is about it. The food is wholly Meh. Its great that they are open until 2AM, but I would not come here without any of the coupons I receive in the mail. The portions seem to have gotten smaller over the years while the cost has slightly risen as well. Located in a ghetto looking plaza, Yoshinoya will continue to thrive for years to come staying mostly the same as it has always been.

They claim to close at 2am, but when I came in just after 12am, they refused to serve me chicken, fish, and fried rice because they just cleaned the grill and didnt want to make any more. The restrooms were also disgusting and said that its not their problem and that its the morning crews problem. This is supposed to be one of the franchises unique locations boasting a Japanese Kitchen logo on their sign. After they decided to change the packaging to their combo bowls, I found myself coming here more often. It seems like this location likes to drench the meat in sauce, which is awesome! Sometimes, I like to geek out and pour clam chowder on top of my beef. Make sure to ask for extra chili powder and get the ginger yourself. One thing though, I ordered a dessert this one time and by the time i got home, it wasnt in my bag. ill forgive that incident, but i will never forget.

Wow! I havent been to a Yoshinoya in years because I got tired of the food. But let me tell you, the menu has expanded to have so many meet options beyond just chicken and beef. There is a fish option, a quality steak option, and more. Sides even include more vegetable and roasted potato option. The food was solid for the price especially if you use the coupons.

He always has a smile on his face, is polite, courteous, and happy to accommodate any requests I may have. There are always long lines, the coupons that come in the mail help save you some money. The food tastes different when they change cooks from the early to late shift. Sometimes its not good, you get stomach sick. It depends on who is cooking the food.

The portion of the regular chicken bowl is a joke! Like seriously? This is the portion of a regular chicken bowl that this location served, not worth for the price at all. Find another location, or go to other restaurant.For $6.59, the portion the “regular” chicken bowl is worst than the regular chicken bowl of $3.75 in some of the Monterey park local restaurants!

I personally placed my order infront of the cashier and the whole order was given back WRONG...after i adviced the cashier of the wrong order she seemed upset and tossed the bowl and i seen her...so i adviced her there was no need for it...then as i returned to the table with my family we noticed the other bowls where actually wrong as well....i believe the cashier and the cook would need to verify the order before calling the name or number on the ticket....the attitute changed once i told the cashier that she didnt need to toss the bowls away but just modify it to what i ordered.....i was very unhappy, pleased and better yet disappointed with the service and the feed back from cashier and to top that off i belive the cashier was part of management.....ive been a resident of Alhambra for 8yrs and a customer for the same time and i had never experienced this much disappointment.
