Came in for a late pick up order. I didn’t really expect much since the last time I was here. It is definitely getting better. The guy in the front was very helpful and nice. The food came out in just a few minutes. Thank you to the Hispanic female in the kitchen who did a great job. Overall satisfied with the quality of the food for the price.

Definitely would say DO NOT eat here . Friendly staff yea that’s fine but I go there for the food and it’s inedible. The first time I got the steak and rice bowl and the rice wasn’t cooked . The 2nd time I ordered a large sweet chili shrimp combo bowl with double the shrimp and noodles… they gave me a large combo bowl the same portion of the regular bowl…. AND on top of the that the shrimp WAS NOT cooked. Shrimp was fishy and the batter had no crunch and the consistency of mashed potatoes. Nothing less than furious. Wasted $15 and 30 min of time and still hungry because the trash ate it

A very cold and uninvited environment. I waited for no more than five minutes. It was quiet and silent. I honestly thought something happen and I was ready to call the cops. Finally, the employee came out not so happy to see a customer.Got my meal, pay and thank her. She just walked away without any reply, Starbucks was right next door. I dont know what was I thinking to make a stop at Yoshiniya with very poor customer service.

UPDATE (4/28/19): Yoshinoya Hollywood is moving from its iconic stand-alone Glass Hilltop location to a new modern strip mall location across the street. I am certainly gonna miss the corner booth. Farewell old Hollywood and hello new apartment buildings.YoshHollywood has always been a favorite place to grab a bite. Formally 24hrs, but still open after hours. Staff is always professional and the regulars are always Holly-Wood.

Normally I love these place’s. Today the cook didn’t do a great job with my order at all it tasted unusually very salty with little rice and drowned in sauce I was oh so very sad when I got home. They also didn’t give me my 4 sides.$50.00 down the drain I’ll think before leaving and not checking your food if I were you.

Im going to be straight to the point here. The young lady( the cashier) deserves a promotion for being extremely kind and doing above and beyond for us the costumers. On another note, your ribeye Teriyaki steak aint Ribeye. Idk if its the flavor but its very bad quality. I know ribeye when I see it. Yall should keep serving the Angus steak rather than the ribeye. Other than that, my food was good.

I was sad to see that this moved from its previous location on the corner of Vine and Santa Monica to a strip mall in the corner of Vine and Santa Monica. (Across the street) why does it matter? Because they lost their drive through! 😳 That being said, I used their app and ordered and paid ahead of my arrival so all I had to do was walk in and pick it up. Super easy. Brought it back from a three star review to a four. I seriously feel some kind of way about the missing drive through.

Decided to grab a fast bite to eat, since I was in a hurry to get to an appointment. Light customer presence should translate to fast service!20 minutes after ordering I get my basic beef bowl. Then they forgot I also purchased a drink. But, no problem, a cup is produced for the self service.I ordered brown rice with my bowl. When the food finally arrives, what’s in the bowl? White rice, of course :-( .By now I was in a real hurry to get going. No time to wait for a remake of the order....Why is it that fast food workers consistently get the order wrong???Good food and ok customer service otherwise.

Yoshinoya Hollywood, which I have not patronized for years, has moved a half block east from its long-time location on the corner of Vine and SMB. They still have the original chicken and beef bowls along with the now steak and shrimp. They have introduced their latest orange chicken which I have not tried lest Ill be comparing theirs with Panda Express. Their self-serve red pickled ginger (great with rice) is gone but now comes in individual packets which you have to ask for. Food is still fresh and tasty as I tried the teriyaki chicken and steak. Prices have gone up a bit but they have deals with coupons in the mail.12/2022 update: Tried their Orginal Gyudon Beef/Teriyaki Orange Chicken combo bowl and it was fresh, ample and tasty.

PSA: I did get there as they were opening so everything was being made. Really nice staff they(2) let me take food without paying and they trusted that I would come back from the ATM to pay them what was owe. I was riding my scooter with no license plate and had a helmet on but I guess they were able to see that I was a good hearted person that rode 60+ miles experiencing a high risk asthma attack. So I could honestly say they probably and most likely did save my life. Thank you this the only thing I could do at the moment in my attempt in appreciation.

I have eaten at many other lications before and I am know wgat to expect for my money do I am usually at least satisfied with my food, this time however I was very close to return the dish and get my money back. Idk what everyone is raving about. I’m from Omaha and even our Japanese food is better than this. I had a tilapia “fried” rice bowl. Tilapia is a white fish bit this fish was brown from either too much oil or being cooked to long. Probably the latter because I spit most of it out bc it was too hard to chew. The rice was ok but the veggies look like the kind you find in the frozen food aisle (e.g. crinkle-cut carrots). The flan was an opaque orange substance sealed in a container. 1.5 stars.

Poor service. Went there last night. It was suppost to be open. It had an open sign and it said they were open from 9am to 3am but they were closed. The workers were inside doing nothing and started dancing infront of my face. They kept mugging me Btw it was night shift around 11pm. All the tables were dirty..... I went to the restroom and the restroom was very very dirty .....
