Every time I visit from New York my family and I go there and management has changed but the quality of food and service is still great. The staff is friendly and welcoming and they do accommodate if you have allergies; you just have to tell them. Dine in yesterday and all dishes were great. Nice place to eat and I would recommend to anyone because all my experiences in over a decade has been great.

Lunch special was surprisingly delicious. Didnt think it would be this delicious and be this much food is what one of the guys I was eating with said. We all agreed. Service was great. We all had a different plate and each of us were very satisfied with our orders.

Youngs Gourmet is our go-to for good Chinese food. Their appetizers (egg rolls, paper-wrapped chicken, hot and sour soup) are great! We always order the Egg Foo Young and the Beef Broccoli. The portions are large and we have enough food for dinner the following night.

Favorite dish Shrimp Pan Fried noodles. Sometimes the noodles are too greasy and not crispy. Most peoples favorite is orange chicken at Chinese restaurants but it is not good here.

My husband and I have been here multiple times because service is great and the food is always good. We went in on Valentines Day in the evening. The place was not packed and we were seated right away. We ordered tea and it was served right away. Right after that we ordered our meals. Three separate couples walked in about 20 minutes after we did. They were seated right away and they were served their meals before my husband and I were even though we got there first. There were plenty of open tables and they were fully staffed. It didnt sit well with us that no one bothered to ask us if we needed anything. My husband and I walked out and will most likely not be coming back.

We were craving Ragoons and decided to try Young’s. We called the order in and the staff was kind and clear. We ordered Ragoons, Shrimp Chow Mein and King Pao Chicken. The Ragoons were the perfect size but did not have much filling. It came with six, which is reasonable for the price but we wished for more cream cheese and crabmeat. The Chow mein was great and was not greasy at all. The Kung Pao chicken was flavorful and had a good amount of peanuts. The chicken was slightly oily and fatty but not overly so. The food is tasteful and good in quantity for the price. We will be returning although it is not our top choice in LA. Thank you!

They serve the food on a large plate with no sauce or veggies,just the protein. Our protein was decent,but without any veggies or sauces it was kinda dry, the egg drop soup was very thin,the wonton soup was good.

Youngs Gourmet was amazing! We ordered food for all the people in our lab using their online orders. I put names in the order notes and they put everyones name on each lunch container making it super easy to pass out food. They also had it ready when they said they would and put the whole order in one box making it super easy to carry. Also, the food was amazing, no one had any complaints!

I love Young’s Gourmet, but I must object to their seafood and tofu soup. It is essentially a huge bowl of way too thick soup with one or two pieces of meat flowing around in the cloudy mess. Their other dishes are superb, but I do think they need to make their menu more concise and their portions more digestible.

Ive been ordering from them for years, but their quality only gets worse and worse. i ordered wontons and they ALL came without any filling, but wrapped the same. the portions have cut in half while keeping their original price, and quite a bit of their food is stale and burnt from being reheated after such a long time im very sad to see this place go down in performance honestly

Dine in imposes an automatic gratuity regardless of quality in service. They charge $1 per cup of tea that usually comes free with dine in. Szchuan Chicken didnt taste fresh at all or at least very overcooked or a non Chinese chef was cooking Chinese food. Worst Ive tasted and Ive eaten Chinese food my whole life. My girl ordered lemon chicken which was fried chicken with lemon dipping sauce on the side to drizzle over the dish. Usually it would be all mixed in a wok not like chicken tenders.Definitely not Gourmet, Mr and Mrs Young!

I have visited this restaurant several times. The food is delicious and the service is great. It is a family style serving so each plate serves about 4 people. Wheelchair accesible, family friendly and no annoying music.

Chinese food here is very good, I had the Mongolian beef and sour soup. Both which were very good. Their dumplings and orange chicken were also very good. I would definitely consider coming back here in the future. Staff was very friendly and hardworking. Much appreciated!

Id read all the 5 star reviews and decided to give Youngs Gourmet a try. We ordered Flaming Pu Pu platter, Rainbow Chicken and House Special Chow Mein. The food smelled amazing in the car on the ride home. Once we got home and began to eat said food, it was a totally different story. Seriously, the worst Chinese food I have ever experienced!!! Most of the items in the Pu Pu Platter were just not palatable. The meat on a skewer was tough or overcooked/burnt or both- did not even remotely taste like beef to me. Fried shrimp and egg rolls had very minimal flavor. BBQ spareribs were burnt and dried out. Chow Mein had little to no flavor- very bland. Not sure if we actually got Rainbow chicken but whatever it was it had very little taste except white pepper. We ended up tossing most of it because it was that bad. $42 was a high price to pay but, lesson learned, wont be back. Really disappointed. Alot of folks seem to enjoy their food but I cant honestly say we did. Good luck.

I been coming to this restaurant since the 19 eighties When they were originally Called 1st wok. In the 90s they changed their name to youngs kitchen and then young s gourmet. But theyve never lost their cooks or quality of food. You cannot beat their lunch specials Good portion of food no matter what you order off the menu its all delicious and authentic And freshly made to your liking.

Always fresh. Great service. Only downside is dishes are created without standardized ingredient measures. What this means is that a dish may taste similar to a previous visit but not the same. Still, I love this place.

Youngs Gourmet is a delightful place to eat. The prices are quite reasonable especially given the size of the portions and the delicious food all dishes are prepared to perfection. The meats are all very tender. The wor wonton soup is simply out of this world and the service is very attentive and cordial. I have eaten in hundreds of Chinese restaurants around the world and definitely Youngs Gourmet is one of the most memorable due to the friendly family atmosphere of the owners and the exceptional quality of the food and I definitely give this location five stars. While definitely American Chinese food, this is absolutely some of the best execution Ive seen. The dishes have a ton of flavor, like the kung pao and shrimp with lobster sauce. Service is very prompt but not intrusive, put up your hand and theyre tripping on themselves to assist. Really, I was amazed what a gem this is based on the strip mall itself. If youre not looking for a black bean sauce dish but some orange beef or kung pao, this is the place to get it. Highly recommend!
