Yucca Sushi and Teriyaki in Yucca Valley

My husband and I came here to have lunch after dental appointment near by (Joshua Ln Dental-amazing place) from Fontana. It was our first time just yelped for sushi but it won’t be our last!!! Omg what a nice surprise with excellent quality food and service. Better than ALOT of places that we have gone. Highly recommend to anyone wants to have great quality food and service.

This was the Only restaurant that was open at 845pm on a Saturday night! Other than apple bees.. Glad we came by. We tried the jalapeño popper on the appetizer menu and it was delicious! We also shared the veggie udon noodles which were also tasty. The staff is always friendly here and very welcoming. The place is clean and you couldn’t expect more for a small sushi bar. The menu is huge and they offer a variety of rolls and a wide selection of other food to choose from. The garlic edamame is also a personal favorite.

A hidden gem, in an unexpected location. It truly is a Dont judge a book by its cover. Inside is cozy, the music is good. The sushi chef is cool, and takes pride in his work. He watches for your reaction, lol. I almost dont want to share so its all mine alone. I went for lunch and had the Baja Fresh, dressed with Japanese mustard soy sauce gave it that unique creativity. The goza on point. The Chicken Ramon was fancy with fresh ingredients. The egg yoke was perfectly runny. I wish I took pictures it was all beautiful and the service was like being invited into their home.I went back for dinner (same day). I had the double double and it was worth it. I had no need for soy sauce or Wasabi, any sauce for that matter. I got to talk to chef, same guy all day, who very proudly talked about where they source their fish. As far as Norway and Japan. Four deliveries a week, for quality and freshness. And you can taste it. The price is more than reasonable for the quality, atmosphere and service.

Went down today to see what all these raves are about and we were very impressed with not just the food but the customer service as well!Sarah was our server and had answers to all our questions and had some great recommendations! The other two (Mikey and Sua. The owners I think?) Were super great and were so nice to let us stay and eat when we got there near closing.I highly recommend checking them out, the food was great, service was great, and just an overall great experienceAlso, double spicy noodles are spicy and so damn good!

Finally came in and ate here and I am glad we did. The food was outstanding. Everything we had at our table was perfect and looked great. Our server was friendly but like everywhere these days they are understaffed which led to drinks not being refilled and waiting long periods of time between food coming out. Appetizers were out with our food and not before. The one major complaint I had in Herr was the temperature. They are trying to cool the small building with roll around evaporative coolers that put off almost no cool air. Since the kitchen is centered in the restaurant it just makes for am absolute swamp. If they fix this issue Id gladly give them 5 stars but I am not trying to sweat out 5 pounds while I eat.

Posting this same review to help this business out that I posted on the other review site since they were so nice to me:-------I havent posted a review in a bit but decided to after the awesome service I received here. First of all, the food was pretty amazing - was not expecting this level of delicious sushi in the desert. My wife and I were taking the baby for a drive when we saw this place - doesnt look the fanciest from the outside but wife wanted sushi - so we had to get sushi.Wow, the sushi was really good - rolls were really big and the sushi was very fresh - I saw that they just opened so Im hoping it will continue to be that way as I plan to stop by here anytime I am in the area. I was really expecting less than fresh sushi but it was so delicious - in fact, everything here was pretty spot on. I also had the fried rice which was HUGE and delicious - not overly salty like other places but has a very clean savory taste.But more than anything, the service was top notch. The server was super friendly and the chef was very nice. I think I came at a slower time so they were able to talk to us more - but really, I was very happy with the hospitality. I definitely will be coming here more as I really liked the food and atmosphere. Not super fancy but really nice overall.

Let me start with a positive note. This place has good customer service. The restaurant itself is pretty. The food is very average for the price. The baked lobster was the worst roll I have had. My daughter in law said her salmon ( uncooked) roll was ok. The spicy mayo is terrible it is over powered by the Sriracha sauce they use in it. I was super disappointed in the chicken and rice bowl we got for the grandkid. Way way over priced for the amount of food in the bowl. On 4/23/23 I gave this place a second chance. Big mistake. I spent over $70 on 5 different orders. But I’m going to talk about the most upsetting item I got today. I ordered a baked lobster roll which wasn’t a roll at all. It was dry hard and tasted awful. I even called them to tell them about my experience and they were not offering to fix the issue. I’m never going to this place again and I hope you save yourself a headache and find somewhere else to go.

Great sushi! Small place and super busy but great service! Highly recommend.

My husband and I came in for a late lunch, I had the Chef’s Special and it was delicious. He had the beef bento box, the portions are very generous and he enjoyed everything. It’s so nice to have such a wonderful sushi restaurant that caters to the west side of the valley for us that live down the hill in Morongo without having to go all the way into town. We will be returning soon!

Sushi was delicious, started with the spicy tuna roll it had plenty of fish followed with the Rainbow roll the presentation was amazing couldn’t resist ordering the Paradise roll without a doubt a must have finished with a Toto roll topped with Ono and Tuna! Fish was fresh service was good.
