Great place to eat. I had the original YukGaeJang with Handmade pasta and it was delicious...big meal for lunch and did not finish it all... Will definitely be back for more...
Oh my goodness, this hits the spot especially for cooler nights. The bone broth soup here is really amazing. We tried the original and the spicy broths and both were equally awesome. It all depends on your preference if you would like your soup a bit spicier. I will definitely come back again and explore the rest of the menu. 10 of 10 would recommend.
Stinks inside, flies all over the place. Charged 18% with only 5 of us where the restaurant is half empty.

Love coming here for a fast fix for noodles. Waitress is very observant, friendly and quick. Usually take the YuGaeJang for $13.99
Very impressive how they keep the quality consistent.... I have been at the ones in LA, Irvine and now in Gardena, the same quality, but the same mediocre service.... hence only 4-star, where as food itself is 5-star deserving.... its a shame....

The Original Yuk Dae Jang soup is a beef broth soup with rice glass noodles. Super delicious. Spicy but not too spicy with lots of shredded beef and green onion. Bone beef broth is soo good. What would have made it perfect would be more sides. Only cabbage kimchi and fish cakes. This may have been be due to a limited menu because of the pandemic but everything is great. FYI they automatically include 15% gratuity in the bill ahead of time before bringing you the bill. Would be nice to have known that before hand. Overall it wouldnt stop me from coming back.
What a great surprise. We hadnt noticed this place until recently, but had a really nice meal here. They have the best Yuk Dae Jang that weve found anywhere in the area. The broth is just fantastic. They also carry a small size Bossam order that you just cant find almost anywhere else. One Yuk Dae Jang and one side order Bossam and youre good for two people..Busy in the weekend, but they served food promptly and the tables cleared regularly for new customers. Recommended!
The food is freshly made, prices are reasonable, credit cards are accepted and theres plenty of parking. The yuk gae jang is spicy and flavorful with plenty of shredded beef.
This place is a franchise place from Korea. Its not so big but the quality of foods are decent. Price is a bit high but if you are just getting the soup it wont be too much. Noodles were okay as well but porks were just amazing
Love this soup. I used to drive from Torrance to Korea Town in LA. Just for this soup and now its local, YAY!!Great Service and only waited 20 minutes To sit at around 7pm on a Thursday.Service with a smile and all the yummy unlimited banchan you could want!!Can you tell I love this place?! The yuk gae jang soup hit the spot as always and love the plum pickle so I bought a jar home :)During COVID-19, they are also one of the very few restaurants that I would order takeout, because they take it seriously and from what I could tell did everything by the Health Departments guidelines.
Clean restaurant. Service is immediate, but food is mediocre. A franchise restaurant for spicy meat soup. No frills food with cookie cutter, machine made feel type of food. Doesnt taste bad, but lacks heart. Not a bad place to have a quick Korean lunch if you can find parking at this little strip shopping center.
Its really good in here I always do to go or doordash but always missing an item all the time check before bagging it..
Tasty food overall and good service. The yuk gae jang is spicy and flavorful with plenty of shredded beef. The sul lung tang isnt traditional (completely bland so you can season to taste); its salted with fish so you dont have to add anything. Only downside is waiting for a table but thats not their fault. Definitely going back to try their other items.
Im not well versed in authentic Korean food. But, I have had these dishes at other places though. And in my experience these dishes were pretty darn good. Id like to try this place again for their other dishes.

The best Korean soul food restaurant in the city of Gardena! The owner and staff members are friendly. The food here is addicting. My go-to restaurant for my remedies(cold or hangovers). Tried every Korean restaurants in Gardena and Yuk Dad Jang and South Bay JinMi serves the best Korean food.
Surprised by the delicious sweet and spicy ribs... But bring a friend or two because the beef ribs are only served in a large portion. But wonderful! Next time Ill try the soup
Disappointing. Service always lacking and unreliable hours. Food is alright. Would enjoy the food dine-in better if the containers werent togo type.
Delicious. Their pork is so good. Order the one by itself and top it off with the army style hot pot. That hot pot is big enough for 3-4 adults.
The yuk gae jang here is amazing. The broth is very rich and full of flavor. The pork belly is great too just remember to ask the server how to eat it.
So far the best yuk gae Jung I had, if they could have more side dishes like 5 instead of 3, that would be perfect

Clean, friendly, well made food. Its a restaurant that almost has it all... except alcohol. So if youre a raging alcoholic, carb up here, then hit up the Cajun bar next door.
Food was good, price was reasonable, service was friendly - waitresses constantly checking and offered refills of bachan without having to ask, clean restroom, ample parking, will go back to try other offerings.

I stopped by Yukdaejang when I came to visit Elay, which is famous for Korean food. The only side dishes that came out were oden and kimchi, hahaha. I thought it was kimchi heaven^^. I was just curious, so I asked if it was a part-time job or if the pinto was spoiled. When they refilled the side dishes, they brought two plates full of kimchi and two plates of oden and ate a lot of these~ Mom. You left a comment in front of me, but I wonder if you ordered taffy or side dishes~ haha. No matter what your personality, it is true that the side dishes came out worse than in Gimcheon haha The beef stew was also spicy... I packed it with almost a smell, but I was afraid I would spit on it, so I threw it away on the side of the road~ El-Ray, a New York girl. Let’s learn Seotile ~ Sorry LA u can do better than this ~ lol

Are they serving something like this as food? Is it the owner of a small business or is it a cheap meal? The smell of Chinatown lingers in the food. Whether its Korean food or Chinese food, the prices are raised like crazy and they serve plastic dishes. The customers think theyre disgusting. I know all the small-faced customers and Ill never do it again.
Yukdaejang Galbijjim ($62 including tax) The portion is small and if the portion is small, you should use good quality meat, but anyway, someone recommended braised ribs below the table and I threw away half of it while I was eating it. There was a lot of oil, so I got oil around my mouth while eating it, so I kept wiping it with a tissue and eating it. It was a waste of money.

I feel like all the banchan will get you half full so pace yourself ! Unlimited banchan here.The bossam is flavorful as always. I loooove adding the garlic and the pickled plum in the cabbage wrap. I think it is a pickled plum that comes with the bossam. Whatever it is, it is spicy and sour.When the bossam gets too cold, the skin does get tough and rubbery so eat it ASAP! :)The cold noodles are amazing here. Chewy noodles!! And of course, the yukdaejang was warm and satisfying. The tteok is chewy along with the noodles! The soup is assertively seasoned. Not spicy at all so dont be intimidated by the red broth!

Second call, I reach a rude employee that was unaware of what I was saying. I asked for owner or manager and was met with the why and when I explained it, she simply failed to understand what I meant. I explained what I meant, only to be hung up on rudely. Not sure if I would be willing to try food at a place where the staff is ill equipped to answer extremely simple questions and lack the ability to discuss simple matters. There wasnt an attempt to take a message or leave a better time, for me to speak with someone who could string together an appropriate and humane response.

I called and ordered two originals with the handmade noodle, the person taking my order was very friendly said it would be ready in 10 minutes. So we drove there to pick it up and it was ready. It stayed hot on the drive back home. The noodles, fish cake and kimche came separated like in the pictures shown below. The noodles were so fresh and soft. They had a bit to them still too and absorbed the broth. The broth was a little spicy and thick. The meat was yummy. The fish cakes were chewy and the kimche was crunchy. Definitely want to try this place again and try the pork belly.

2021-06-30 04:13:02Had the spicy beef soup because it seems to be the signature dish, and although its pretty good, cant say that its amazing. The soup can use just a bit more salt and the beef is the shredded stringy kind. Still, I think the restaurant is promising and Ill be back to try to beef rib plate and the boiled pork belly, those look good on the menu.

2021-09-16 04:07:07Korean spot serving up various stew/hot pot options. They serve alcohol as well. Came here on a Wednesday night around 6:30pm and there was no wait. Outdoor covered dining as well as indoor dining is available. Credit cards are accepted. There’s a small parking lot. There’s a single occupant restroom available in the back right hand side. Dogs were allowed inside the restaurant.They provide kimchi and fish cakes as appetizers. The food came out in plastic containers which was convenient for packing up our doggie bag. We got the army style hot pot which came with noodles, spam, rice cake, sausages, and some veggies. It was a mildly spicy broth and a tad too salty, but overall it was a filling meal. It’s more than enough for two people to have their fill plus have some leftovers. You have a choice of white or purple rice.

The ramen was soooo well made and the flavor was so addictive.I also got the Dumplings & Rice Cake in Ox Bone Broth. Unfortunately I didnt like it as much because the flavor was very mild and the rice cake was a little mushy.

2021-11-23 06:53:49Food was mediocre. We got bossam- it was on the dry side and yuk gae Jang with pasta noodle. The service was equally mediocre. I asked what sort of pasta is in the soup and our server simply said fresh pasta, which really doesnt clarify much. Overall, it was okay but wouldnt go back.
