Discovered this place and I love the ramyeon! My only problem is that theres too many green onions. 🥲Service is typical: all parties must be present to be seated, food is decently priced though I do believe it went up bc of inflation, and they start charging for to go boxes if you dont finish your food inside.You get your side dishes, and the food is spicy! If you cant handle spicy foods, they have limited options for non-spicy food. Their army stew is ginormous, though I have not tried it. Plenty of alcohol as well!Parking can be difficult since the lot is small. Street parking is available too (no meters on any curbs)!
Ordered takeout of the beef brisket cold noodle and it was simple. The visual of the dish was nice but I wasnt used to the taste. The noodles were very chewy and long, which made it hard to break and swallow. I dont know if they were supposed to be like that or it is this restaurants style. It was my first time eating cold noodles so it was a bit strange. I didnt feel as satisfied after finishing this compared to other Korean dishes.
Food is okay, but service just isnt there sometimes. Especially when an automatic service fee is charged for table 5+, they really grow lax and unattentive when the tip is already included. This place is pricey, and the quality of food is decent. However, service that is incredibly important to me was lacking on several encounters. The waiter wouldnt check up on us and didnt seem friendly but awkward. I had to call over the waiter many times because they like to hide behind the counter. Its not that they cant provide good customer service because they were really good with other tables, even making a ton of small talk and attending to some more often than others, but i thought it was just because of the items we ordered that didnt get their attention.
Bossam has been tasty and delicious! The original noodle soups are delicious, love the wavy noodles and broth. The kimchi and fish cakes are so good, and one of my favorites from all the Korean restaurants I’ve tried. Service was also great, we have a one year old, and they were all friendly and considerate to us. 10/10 recommend and can’t wait to go back!
Beef ribs were really good, very tender and all the vegetables in the dish were cooked perfectly. To be honest the vegetables were so good I liked them more than the beef lol.Porky belly was one of the best versions I’ve had. The sides that come with it complement the pork perfectly and help cut down the fattyness.Pork and chive dumplings were good, but if you skipped them you wouldn’t be missing much.Overall I would definitely reccomebd you try this place out, it is a little expensive but it’s worth it to me.
Ive ordered for a delivery 5-6 times from this branch at least for 2 years. At some point, they started forgetting things. I always ordered 간장보쌈 (Bossam with soy sacue) and they forgot the main soy SAUCE once!!! And the last and this order, they keep forgetting the 알배추 (white cabbage) thats the whole point for eating with lol Im not sure they took out the cabbage on purpose or too lazy to put it in?!?!?!?! This is my last delivery from this branch.

I got the cold noodles (mool neng myun) and pork. Food was decently priced and the quality of the side dishes were seasoned better than last time. Second time here, dont mind coming here. Lots of chinese food around and not a lot of decent korean food places. Check this place out.

The food here was amazing 👌. Found this place on Yelp and yes the hype around the pics was real. Service could use some improvement but its just cuz they were very busy. I mean common its 10pm and people were still trying to come in. When they close at 10.....

The soup/broth is delicious. I liked the pasta IMO. The bossam (pork belly) compliments the noodles.Parking. There is a small lot for the entire plaza.Overall: will return

There cold noodle dish is bad. I find the package ones you get at h mart taste better than this. The male server was rude to us, keeps telling us to have our mask on even when I’m already seated and about to eat. So I have to take a bite and immediately put my mask back on and than repeat ? Most dumbest thing I ever heard of. Even to this today, I still cannot find a good Korean restaurant in sgv area but always have to go down to LA.
Delicious food. I’ve only tried the cold angus brisket buckwheat noodles so far and I keep going back for more. The cold broth is icy cool, refreshing and flavorful, and everything is always so fresh and packaged nicely. I can’t wait to go back!

WOW, best spicy cold noodles I’ve EVER had!!! Also the fish cakes for the bonchon was sooo good. Also, the employees meticulously sanitize the tables and booths after every customer, that’s so amazing since I don’t see that often but is soo important, especially now! Highly recommend and would definitely return!

Very good food and pleasant deco. Service was surprisingly good for a new restaurant. We ordered the pork belly, soon tofu and spicy beef soup. Everything was tasty and good.Tip: Best day to go, in terms of parking, is Monday when most of the other Chinese restaurants are closed. 😉
The soups are goods. The signature meat dish is about average to me. They need to improve their service. The staffs guided us to sit down then the owner asked us get up because he was not sure we are the one on the list, even we showed the staff our wait list message. The server served our food to wrong table more than one time. We ordered the large meat dish, it comes with very little kimchi, we asked refill in the end. The owner told us we can’t because we already paid the bill. His said we already asked boxes to go and they can’t give us a dish refill for to go.
My second time here. Both times Ive spent $16 an item and left a tip for take out only to get 2 tiny cups of bonchon. All other bags filled with 10 bonchon cups. People at tables with 10 plates of bonchon. I would rather drive to Ktown for better service and flavor. I will not be supporting this local business.
The Braised Beef Ribs are to die for. The beef ribs are tender with just the right amount of fat to make it melt in your mouth. The sweetness from the pumpkins and the spiciness of the meat and juice complements each other very well. Although, the price of the braised beef ribs is high, it is very well worth it and definitely a must try at least once. The staff is also very friendly and will also be at your table to cut up the beef ribs and pumpkin.
Went with my parents and ordered the yuk gwe jang, one with the noodles, and one rice cake dumpling soup. All were very good with rich stock, and good quality shredded beef. Even the kimchi and side dishes were good, but there are only three. They were quickly refilled and service was prompt and kind.
The food was outstanding. We got the original with homemade noodles and the sul Lang Tang. The ultimate satisfying comfort food, perfect for whenever you want to be nourished in Body, Mind, and Spirit. They only see had three sides available for Banchan but the quality and taste were superb. Fish cake, kimchi, and chives. And they offered refills for us when we asked. Its unfortunate that I live so far away from this place but I cant wait to go back as soon as I can.
2 ppl 1 tofu stew 1 small order of pork belly, perfect dinner. Dump the rice into the tofu soup and mix the pork belly with the side dishes on the provided lettuce leaves. Perfect for a cold nights.
It is a very good Korean restaurant in SGV area since Grand Opening couple days ago. This place has decent amount of parking in the plaza on the weekday or Sunday. (Depends Bonchon is open or closed). We came yesterday at night, and ordered Cold noodle, Original YukGaeJang (Beef) Ramen, and Mini Pork Belly. These food are very good especially Beef Ramen, and also prices of these foods I believe is fair and worth it.Overall, I recommend Beef Ramen because the soup based and beef are delicious, and I definitely come back next time for the Beef Ribs as well.

Delicious! I was in town alone for work and went here for lunch. I got the sulongtang and it was lip smacking good! Large portions, I almost couldn’t finish. The kimchee was also very good. Next time I will also order some kimchee to go

I tried the original yukdaejung spicy soup. It comes w glass noodle. Lots of meat and soup is so yummy. Thick, full of flavor. Next time i wanna try seafood tofu soup. I also tried pork & kimchi dumpling.their dipping sause is different from chinese vinegar. A little sweet, sour, spicy. May be they use plum juice.Would like to try pork belly when coming here in a group .Late afternoon weekday, no wait at all.
Pretty Good Korean Food.
Scoped out Yuk Dae Jang San Gabriel tonight. We liked their hearty yukgaejung and bosam. The bosam reminded me of the Japanese style charshu with its smoky flavor. The Naengmyeon was ok, but not something ill order again. Recommend to come before 6pm as parking is limited. They have two other spots in LA and Gardena.
Great Korean food in the San Gabriel area. None of the food is super spicy. Maybe mild at most. But has good flavor thats not too strong.

Great food but since theyre opening and popularity gain, expect to wait a little bit for a table. You can always use yelp to checkin ahead of time, but make sure you check in with the front when you arrive so they confirm your yelp reservation.

Food - it was bad. Got the premium bossam but it was really rubbery and difficult to chew. It tasted like really cheap meat. And the yuk gae jang tasted like powdered broth. My grandma made yuk gae jang when I was growing up and that wasn’t it. Also they charge .25 per take out box so you know how they’re running this buisness.Service - Completely ignored for whole dinner.

The most terrible restaurant in my life!!!! Maybe 99% of the customers didnt realize how this restaurant charges your money without oral notice. When I checked today, I found I was charged 15% tip for lunch without asking me. I just post this let you guys be careful in this restaurant. AVOID eating here if you can!!!!!Probably many diners dont realize that a 15% tip has been mandatory on your bill. If you dont pay attention, you may pay a double tip at the checkout. The waiter did not tell me verbally, but when I checked out and asked why my meal cost was different, he took out a small notice and told me that there is a regulation that a 15% tip must be added!

2023-09-11 19:37:56Really popular among the local community. One Sunday night, I could hear English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese when dining in. Tasty Yukgaejang hotpot especially when the foods are totally heated in the soup including the beef rib, pumpkin, potatoes, noodles. Everything with the taste of based soup is really good with the companion of the rice. The beef toufu soup are the traditional Korean ones. The new one Premium beef Bulgogi is tasty with the sauce and rice. One other thing to mention is that I love the fishcake they offer for free. Not many people at weekday noon as the service is generally good. But might foresee a waiting line during meal hour at weekends night.

2023-11-06 00:51:52I ordered three dishes. The beef bulgogi, the army stew, and the beef tripe soup. The portions were HUGE. It wouldve been worth the $180 bill if the food was really good too (it wasnt). The food wasnt bad but it just wasnt memorable. The service was friendly, nice, if a bit shy. The place was so small though and the restroom took me by surprise. Also, the mandatory 18% gratuity took me by surprise too. I wouldnt come again but not bad!

2022-11-04 04:09:13Found perfect parking in front!Went inside and was told my whole party had to be here for us to be seated.The host/waiter then asked if I could wait outside. It was 60 degrees outside, that is cold for my SoCal skin!!Found out later that he asked everyone else (who was currently seated) to wait outside too so to be fair, he wanted to keep on with the request. If he just told me that earlier, I would have understood. But the way he asked was rude and made it seem very inconsiderate when it was really cold and windy outside!Apart from him, the female server was very nice and accommodating. She helped cut our meat and brought all the utensils and things we needed. If it wasnt for her, I would have given a lower rating.The food is good. I would say Sun Nong Dam is better but its closed now :0(Being seated in front of the door on a freezing night was not the best either. Every time someone came in or left, felt the wind breeze. It just unfortunately, was not the best experience.

Both dishes came out with decent portions of ingredients. Their mandu and rice cakes are big and chewy. We also love their fish cakes. It’s not common for Korean restaurants to offer fish cakes as banchan (side dishes) so we appreciate that they offer that here. Their fish cakes are always so warm and delicious. They are definitely addicting that I always ask for more 😂.

Delicious Food cooked over the fire right in front of you. The servers consistently check on your fires and water.
