I’ve been here multiple times and the food and service is always perfection!!!! The owner, Benito, is super awesome and welcoming as well. The ambiance is very relaxing and the food is super authentic! I would come here over and over again because they have a huge selection and their vegan items are AMAZING as well! Their appetizer sampler platter, pad Thai, pad see ew, drunken noodles, yellow curry, sticky rice and mango are all so delicious! Honestly everything there is really good! There is only valet parking at this location.

My wife and I have been here a couple of times and I want to say, I totally enjoyed everything Ive had. But, the Green Curry is to die for, it is velvety with a touch of heat, creamy and plain delicious.We also use Zabb to cater a dinner party for a special event we were having. Benito the Manager went out of his way to ensure everything was perfect. We had so much food, great tasting food! It was a huge hit with all. Frank G

Finally visited Zabb and it did not disappoint. Service is great. We ordered the tempura shrimps, wontons, & egg rolls as appetizers and all were a hit. Personal favorite were the shrimps. For entrees we were easily able to split the Green Curry and Drunken Noodles. The portion sizes are great, more than enough for 2 with some left overs to take home. Also don’t pass up the cocktails, Bird of Paradise was great. All in all we will be definitely be coming back to Zabb !

The food is top notch! We like to go on Sunday for the champagne lunch special, even though we dont drink.They always give us another drink of choice. They are super attentive and its very clean. The decor inside and out is photo worthy. Theres a lit fireplace, which makes it feel relaxing and romantic. I highly recommend it 👌 🪷😋🥢🍛

Very good food, very good service, very good drinks. I got the vegan sampler & very dirty martini. Husband got the chicken pad Thai & a Singha beer. The reason I came here was because of the many vegan options and all of the food I got was so tasty. I’ll definitely be back here. Oh, & although it’s valet only, it’s free valet - you just have to take care of your valet guy 😉

Dinner for two. Had reservations. Was seated immediately. The restaurant smelled delicious. We couldnt wait to order. Started off with a couple of cocktails. She had the Zabb My Thai, I had the Zabb Ice Tea, which was a play on the traditional Thai ice tea. Both were very good. Dinner included their kale salad, red curry with shrimp, and pad Thai noodles. We soon realized we ordered enough food to feed a family of four. All was delicious. My only complaint is the noodles were not quite was I was expecting but, still tasty. 4.5 stars.

Went there over the weekend for Mothers Day celebration. We were a group of 12 and all enjoyed the food.Zabb Thai raised the bar for Thai food in my experience. Their Panang Curry, Massamaan Curry and Drunken noodles were the best I have ever had. The kids also enjoyed Pad Thai noodles and Yellow Curry which we ordered mild.Their appetizers were also really tasty. They have vegan and vegetarian options, and we ordered a vegan sampler which had good variety and enough quantity to serve 4 adults. Their curry portions were also really big (good to serve unto 3 adults).To top, they had a complementary valet service, so we just had to drive to their location and hand over the key without having to worry about finding parking.Will surely visit this restaurant again.

Another Thai restaurant. This is a period in my family when we want spicy food. Its very good here, but to my wifes taste, a little unusual. So I, despite the fact that the mojito is homemade with the addition of lychee, I give it 4 stars. But I recommend visiting this restaurant.

Food was excellent and staff made an recommendations on Pad Thai. That was spot on and made our experience 10 times better. Pad Thai was served very hot and spicy was great as well. Right off the bat- absolutely amazing. Service, food and ambiance just 10/10! Very warm and welcoming staff. They offer complimentary valet parking. Beautiful dim lights and sitting gives an intimate edge. Food was top notch! We ordered three different drink and all were delicious. Stir fry vegan options will blow your mind. “ Vegan”thai food is their usp! My partner is vegetarian and allergic to fish oil- we love thai food but it was challenging to find him something authentic yet honoring his dietary preferences. And this is it! What a gem!

One of the best dining services Ive ever experienced. The waitress was polite, considerate, checked on us often and wanted to make sure everything was to our liking. Couple other people were also serving us and they were super friendly as well. You can never go wrong with Thai food and this place is no different. Food was fresh and yummy. The food here is absolutely incredible; if I lived here I would come every week. The cashew stir fry with vegan duck was delectable, though the level 10 spicy was only moderately hot. The portion size and quality far exceed what I expected given the price range. Special shout-out to the Thai tea creme brulee, which was a sublime dessert to end the experience.

I ordered takeout for delivery and was impressed! Generous portions. Ill have plenty of leftovers even after I had a full meal (see photo for my leftovers). Lots of vegan options and everything is clearly marked for those with specific dietary needs. The vegan spring rolls were the biggest Ive ever seen! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Nice fried tofu and spicy curry with jasmine rice. I tried the fried banana and coconut ice cream for dessert. Super comfort food!

So good. We went there for the 1st time a few weeks ago while staying at the beach. Easy walk from the beach. We enjoyed our dinner ( Massaman Curry & Spicy Eggplant) and cocktails so much, we came back to try their daily happy hour and lunch specials. What a great deal. I had the cashew nut w/ chicken lunch special. Good portions, lots of cashews, side salad, amazing soup and a spring roll. All fresh and delicious. My Happy Hour crazy monkey cocktail did not disappoint either. The staff are nice and were more than happy to answer any questions we had. I wish I lived close by because I would definitely come here weekly, especially for the specials. Please support this local business if you like Thai food!

Went in Feb 21. For a mere 10 dollars, you get a fresh soup, decent salad, and generously portioned curry with rice. All the various vegetables are cooked to perfection and flavoring+spice is right on point. They had indoor and outdoor seating with heat lamps outside. honestly unbeatable.

This place was good and I would say it met our expectations. We started with the chicken satay which was well seasoned and juicy. I ordered the panang curry and my husband ordered the pumpkin curry. We also ordered the Thai fried rice. One cool thing was our ability to set the spice on each dish on a scale of 1-10 I got the 4 and would consider it medium other places. The portions were huge. We brought home enough for at least another meal if not two, so come with a big appetite or enjoy leftovers like us. Would come again if we are in the area.

Food was decent, but didnt seem as authentic as I am used with Thai food choices in CALI..choices limited in my opinion and prices where above average. The air conditioner seemed to be set too high..we where sweltering in there with only 1 small fan running by the registers, literallytrying to eat while we were drenched in sweat by the windows. There was a required valet parking situation that added to the time and expense of eating here. The valet person was extremely polite, but again another item to consider as you should tip.

Note bene: I dont give many places five stars across the board, but I try hard to write reviews for the hotels and restaurants that really impress me. Zabb was outstanding in every way, and it is worth the effort to get there. We arrived at 11 when it opened, and were expecting the typical have a seat while we sort things out -- and were delighted when we were seated with drinks in less than ten minutes. The menu is extensive, with favorites worth trying and the usual standbys: pad thai, many curries, larb. We enjoyed the Mai Tais and were tempted by the Crazy Monkey drink, but that one has to wait for another visit. The pad prikh was the best I have had in twenty years (we went with the chicken option), the shrimp curry was awesome, and the Thai sampler plate was a delight. The staff was courteous and spent time talking with us, and brought a plate full of sauces and toppings which were divine. The peanut sauce is great (on spring rolls but really on any of the appetizers). Seated nearby was a family with young kids, and the kids were quite welcome (and truth be told, adorable kids). There is a fully stocked bar with stools if you want that option, and lots of tables. We did not see much parking (five spots in the lot by the restaurant), but since we arrived at 11am we didnt have any problem. On the west coast highway (near the beach) and really convenient if you are leaving town on Highway 55 (onramp a half-miles south).

We had been looking for a vegan place for a very long time and finally the search is over. Zabb Thai is an amazing place with an excellent ambience and great food taste. Vegan chicken satay, hot soup, ordered pot with a good quantity for 4 adults. Garden veggie wrap and peanut butter orange dip a yummy dip. Green chutney or dip is also amazing with a tangy taste. Yellow and red curry with all veggies and tofu and rice. Spent $120 for two families, 5 adults and 2 kids, enough portions and no to go boxes required as no food left. The owner/server is a very kind and gentle person. Service is quick, free valet parking but tip the valet guy, he is a very sweet person. We had been here four times and always enjoyed it. My brother brought us to this local spot that was fantastic. Im from the east coast and this was by far one of the best Thai experiences Ive had in a while. I fell in love with the Thai iced tea, and the red curry was out of this world. Drunken noodles, chicken kapow, pad see ew were all delicious and generously portioned. One of my go-to favorite places. The food is so delicious and the portions are HUGE—buying dinner here usually also means having a great lunch of leftovers the next day. I also greatly appreciate the extensive vegan menu. Service is top notch and the takeout experience is also always very pleasant—the valets are super nice and will tell you leave your car in the open spot while you grab the food. We’ve enjoyed every item ordered - I think we have tried all offerings at this point. Never a complaint. The teas and lemonades are something special. Where has this place been all my life? My wife said it used to be another Thai place, under a different name. Not sure when Zabb came about, but I am certainly glad it did.Their weekday lunch specials are an incredible value, as you get a lot of food per order:- generous bowl of the daily soup- vegetarian spring roll (friend perfectly on the outside)- main entree (pick from a list of different items)- jasmine rice (can be subbed for brown for $1 I think)Wife got the green curry with chicken, and I had the pad thai with pork. Both were excellently seasoned, though my pad Thai was a little on the saucy side, as it tasted a little too saturated for my personal taste, but it was still a solid 8/10. Both dishes came out of the kitchen nice and hot, tasting fresh and delicious.Looking forward to going back again and trying something different. Glad we have what appears to be a solid Thai place in the Newport area that offers great food at a very reasonable pricepoint.

The Thai tea is so delicious here. The food is always great I always wanna try something new here and still get something I got last time cause I will be craving the flavors the food has here. The beautiful mural outside drew my eye to it and the interior decor is just as aesthetically pleasing. Very attentive staff and great options for vegans, vegetarians and non-vegetarians, but that goes without saying because Thai food is usually very accommodating to dietary preferences, but this restaurant offers many plant based meats to choose from which is a huge plus. My wife and I have gone twice now and will most certainly be back soon. I highly recommend the drunken noodles if youre a fan of spice. Their spring rolls with their peanut sauce are also delicious!

Among all of the dished I ordered, the most tasty one was chicken satay. Fried chicked was too dry, calamari was not juicy inside. The soup was eatable but definitely not tom yum. Everything else was fine but I guess the food was not for Thai and people who are already familiar with Thai food.

Really good vegan thai! They have a large menu with lots of vegan options and very clearly labeled. Got the vegan larb with duck and a noodle dish, both were great. I Freaking love this place! I own a Barber shop across the street so I come here often. They have a huge selection of vegetarian food which is so bomb! I get the lunch special n switch it up a lot. Fantastic vegan selection! I ordered the Drunken Noodles with vegan chicken from the Lunch Specials. The vegan chicken was really great and the veggies were very fresh. The portion size is huge! The side salad was simple with a nice light dressing. Soup was tasty and the egg roll was crispy and delicious, both what you would expect. My entree was nicely garnished with a fresh orange slice and watermelon, a pleasant surprise. Our waiter was nice and attentive. Zaab Thai is an outstanding place to dine! The restaurant is large and has a full bar. Parking is available during the day, with a valet in the evenings.The valet has worked for Zaab for numerous years and is very careful, cautious parking your car.I have personally eaten here a few dozen times. All the food I have tried, my family and friends have tried, has been absolutely delicious. The food is freshly prepared, portions are generous, beautifully presented, and delivered to your table with a smile. The waitstaff is very attentive without being intrusive. We were really hungry for Thai while visiting Newport for a long weekend. It was right after sunset Friday night when we Googled for Thai. Search showed Zabb near us and reviews were good so off we went. Our dinner was heavenly, mouth watering, generously portioned for sharing family style. Each appetizer and entrees we ordered were delicious. The stand out for our table was the Lemon Chicken. It was incredible, so light, tangy, crispy and tender. We couldn’t stop thinking of their food so the day before our flight back home, we stopped for Sunday lunch. What a treat! Plus one of the owners served us both times. He was very welcoming, courteous and provided impeccable service from start to finish. We chatted with a couple right next to us, and they shared that they drove over 30 miles to dine here for their vegetarian entrees. Says a lot about this establishment! We can’t wait to come back when we are back in the Newport area. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Outstanding Accident!!!I had made lunch and dinner reservations a month in advance for our Newport vacation. Unfortunately, my son got sick and we missed one of our lunch reservations. Okay, Ive been eating here for over a year now and can still confirm that their soups and curries are top notch! Tom Kha, Tom Yum, Red/Green/Panang Curry - all amazing! I still do not enjoy their noodle dishes. While the food is amazing, they do struggle with some consistency issues. For example, they have not earned my complete trust when it comes to takeout orders. Ive gotten home one too many times with something wrong in my bag, so I always peek at what was packed before leaving now. Also, their spice levels are all over the place. I order Medium Spicy everywhere, but once we got a Ka Pow (Basil Chicken: medium) that was SO spicy I could not eat it. It hurt too bad. Im not sure if I was given the wrong one (i.e. someone else ordered a spicy Ka Pow and it got mixed up) or if they just had a heavy hand and made it crazy hot that night. Due to the disappointment of not being able to even eat my meal (again, I order takeout - was not in the restaurant to fix the issue), I have started ordering everything Mild. It works out because some dishes get home and still taste Medium, butttt others are completely bland (aka they actually made it mild). Thats why I cant give 5 stars. The food is great, for sure! But the inconsistency and mistakes drop it a notch. Also, their entree prices have gone up $1-2 (on average) since November. Ohhh, one more thing to note is they started valet parking. They have a lot right beside the restaurant (which is usually not full when Ive visited), but want to park cars as close together as possible in there. It seems really unnecessary and especially during Covid when we were wearing masks and sanitizing like crazy - they want someone inside your personal car...ehhhh. Just wanted to give that heads-up to all the introverts because Im sure youll find it as awkward as I do. Definitely recommend Zabb, but with some hesitations.

First this restaurant was our favorite when we started ordering take out a couple of months ago, however, there is no customer service or any guarantees if the food is not good since it is family-owned business. Some of the best Thai food I’ve had in a while and excellent service. The Tom Ka soup tasted just as good as, if not better than, what we had in Thailand. Highly recommend!!

Lightly Crispy lemon chicken on kale chips with special lemon sauce is delicious. The best I’ve ever had. Lovely friendly service. I will order again soon.
