2023-10-26 23:03:45Nice spot with good food. Service was fast and friendly - really appreciated the complementary chai at ordering!Definitely get a mango lassi!Only complaint is that they decided to fully flood their floor with soap and water at 2pm so we had to wade through a big puddle to get inside and order. Outdoor seating was still great so no big deal

2023-11-28 06:12:31The combo thali is a really nice mix of dishes and is definitely good for one big appetite (or two small ones). The chicken memoni samosas are very crispy and nice but quite small. The palak gosht (lamb with spinach curry) is particularly good and I love their loose but creamy dal.

2023-10-08 05:39:21Our first time here at Zareen’s coz it was open late after a show! Redwood City downtown is a happening place. We ordered a Biryani (GF)that really great. They say medium spicy but it was just right for us. Very flavorful and tasty - full of masalas! As it was our first time we were given complimentary chai - so sweet - really needed that for my scratchy throat.

2023-09-27 05:13:36Food: 3/5Service: 3/5Ambiance: 5/5Overall: Definitely a good option in the area.Would I come back: Yes if someone wanted to come here or if I’m in the area and had the craving. The extended review…Food:Garlic Naan - 3/5 - Standard fare and very shareable.Pratha - 2.5/5 - Standard fare though a little on the thicker side.Lamb Gosht - 3/5 - A pretty good tasting dish. Good spices and with my favorite meat.Service: 3/5 - It’s not a full service type of place. Order at the counter and then get your food delivered to your table.Ambiance: 5/5 - I will say that the ambiance is definitely appealing both inside and outside.

2023-11-16 06:41:06I got the gift card from Costco with discount price and wanted to try out this place. I heard a lot of good review about this placeMango laksi and rice pudding: they both tastes good for the texture but too sweetLamb laksi: I’m surprise how big the dish is. It’s like a combo of rice, nann, and all other stuff. It’s very tasty. They only had 1 dish of lamb, 1 beef and the rest are typical chicken dishes like: tika masala or butter chickenService is quick. Customers had to line up to get order, then they bring it to your tableThere are a lot of seats and tables both inside and out side. The only limited is the parking. It took me forever to find street parking.

2023-07-11 09:59:10A hybrid self serve and sit down restaurant - a yummy option for Indian food. You order at a kiosk or clerk and get a # and pick a table.I went with some regulars and got a ton of Samosas.Got the first entree option Chicken. It was quite the serving. I love naan and rice and eat a LOT but I couldnt finish my food haha. I guess the samosas and fries got the best of me.Wait time isnt too bad and its definitely a downtown favorite where ever they are - many locations. They bring your food to you and bus your table periodically.Water is self serve and free.Felt very clean and tidy inside. Cant wait to try everything on their menu 😂

2023-10-07 04:47:53The open layout is very inviting. I got the lunch vegan dal tarka combo and the sesame naan. The food itself was delicious. However, I removed one star as most of their vegan curry items just remove paneer from curry instead of replacing it with tofu. Itd be great if they could introduce tofu options as replacement of paneer.

2023-07-30 15:08:06I love Zareen’s and the food is authentic as it gets. I’ve visited both the Redwood location and the Mountain View location, and definitely prefer the sit down version (the food is consistent for both). My go to is tikka masala. You can taste the char in the chicken and the spices in the sauce is just puuuurrrrfect. The atmosphere is great and customer service is really nice even though the set up is kind of like “Indian fast food.” They actually come over and check if you like your food, etc. Love this restaurant and will definitely come back.

2023-08-28 22:38:11A mixed experience. On the plus side was the chicken with flavorful char and the accompanying tomato/cream sauce quite tasty. The mango lassi was also splendid. On the down side was the non-creamy and overly chilli-peppered Palak paneer. Also, the lentils tasted almost like Mexican refried beans instead of the tadka dhal I would expect with a thali menu. The garlic naan was also a bit too crisp.
