My partner ordered the Za Zang Myun, which consists of homemade noodles in black bean sauce with ground pork and vegetables. The taste was quite enjoyable, and there was really nothing to complain about. The flavor leaned slightly towards the sweeter side, which was a pleasant surprise. As for my choice, I went with the Zam Pong, and I must say I absolutely loved it! This dish features homemade noodles with shrimp, squid, clam, and vegetables in a spicy beef broth soup. What really stood out were the generous portions of seafood, with at least 4 huge mussels, 4 clams, 4 shrimp, and tender squid, making it a seafood lovers dream. The Za Zang Myun noodles were perfectly cooked and complemented the dish wonderfully. The spicy beef broth had a rich, flavorful profile that added an extra layer of depth to the overall taste. The portion size was satisfying, and the combination of seafood, noodles, and the delicious broth made for a truly enjoyable dining experience. Whats more, the price is really worth it, considering the quality and quantity of the food you receive!

Ordered a basic tofu soup with beef, the portion is small, soup is watery with small fragments of hard to chew beef. The rice is Undercooked. Usually Korean meal comes with a variety of small dishes, they offered tiny slices of raw onion and yellow pickles. Honestly very disappointed for the quality and taste. Good points: tofu is fresh, restaurant is clean, staff is efficient and polite.

A novel dining option on a stretch of Geary where there are so few. This snug outpost serves up dishes unique to the Chinese-Korean kitchen. While seafood and vegetables were tastily stir fried, the #4 Seafood Gan Za Zang (해물간짜장) lacked the quintessential saltiness known for this dish — resulting in the noodles tasting of just noodles in even the well-mixed bites.

I visited on 9/10/2023 and the restaurant had an unpleasant smell like sewage 😬Food is good. Whats inportant to me is the texture of the zaxang noodles and they got it. The sauce is not like home but pretty authentic. Tangsuyook is okay but the meat inside is chewy. I hope they figure out the unpleasant smell.

Street parking only. My friend and I went there for lunch and we arrived there at 2:24 and there were a lot of seats. It’s a quite and small family owned Korean restaurant. My friend ordered the Zazang noodles and I ordered the soft tofu soup and spicy rice cake. It was my first time to try Zazang noodles and the texture of the noodles was very soft. The sauce for the Zazang noodles was pretty good. I would recommend to the people who like noodles. The soft tofu soup was fair and they didn’t have the egg for the soup. The spicy rice cake was very spicy and tasty. Overall, I would recommend this place to people who like Korean food.

Edit: taking points off for the most recent visit - ordered black bean noodles and the black bean sauce was pretty tasteless, mostly contained raw onions, and barely anything else (literally trace amounts of meat), it was quite disappointing.Delicious black bean noodles, friendly host and big portions! The picture here is the half n half combo, I’d pass on the seafood curry though, unless you really love seafood - it has mussels, clams, shrimp and octopus in it

Hole in the wall place. Chose this place because I wanted Korean noodles and it had to be near a friends place. Honestly surprised with how this place was. Food (especially the bi bim myun) was really good.Pretty casual place and I will definitely recommend and come here with friends again.

Simple place to go if you’re in the mood for black bean noodles. The flavor of the black bean is ok, nothing out of this world. We like going here because it’s easy parking and a quick bite! We also ordered a kimchi fried rice to go that was decent as well. The dumplings were also just ok as was the fried squid and bibimbap. Not too many places in the area serve Korean noodles like this so this spot does fill a gap so it should get another for that! It’s a nice change from the k-BBQs that get a lot of attention and I often forget it’s there!

The jjambpong is my personal favorite. I like that it’s spicy and flavorful and has plenty of seafood. I enjoy the noodles as well. Fun fact they’re the same noodles that are used in the jjajjangmyen that this restaurant is known for. :^)

Small restaurant with limited seating. Came here for the jjajangmyeon with the hand crafted noodles. Wasnt disappointed... Definitely will come back again. The only slight downer is no bonchon with take-out order.
