Came here as a surprise. Love the atmosphere and service. Greeted instantly upon arrival and sat quickly. Server was very friendly and was always asked if we needed anything. Love the way the drinks look and food was great. Only took one star off the since I wasn’t the biggest fan of the noodle. Also had a nice opportunity for some drinks with a live performance!

My wife and I love coming here for Ramen. Its so yummy. Also had a chance to try the Pot Stickers and Mao Mao this time. Which were so delicious and cripsy. I love the side sauce they come with as well. Miso Tori with garlic and carrots added is my favorite. They have a really good happy hour as well. Plus, they are open until late at night. So, you can get really good food rather than drive-through!

Atmosphere was nice and calm. Got the ramen lava-men. It was very mushy and was very much like spaghetti. The egg was cold and the meat was undercooked. They did let us know before hand they were backed up so we were patient. There was a larger group and only one server but seemed almost like the food was rushed at the end but we waited almost 40 min? We had to leave with our bowls full because it was overwhelming.

The atmosphere was in fact very zen. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because no one greeted us upon arrival and the way you have to order is through QR code and either our phone service or the link was super slow. After trying multiple times to order finally someone came out to take our order. The food was delicious. We ordered the mushrooms tempura, the shrimp tempura, pot stickers, teriyaki chicken with fried rice, falling Ramen and the volcanic Ramen. The Ramen was my favorite. The mushroom tempura was cold in the middle.

One star off as the takoyaki tastes nothing authentic and is too sweet. Like a wet sweet dough topped with honey mayo.The ramens are tasty and beautiful under the sunset from window seats. Volcanic ramen is savory but too heavy for me. I ordered the sober ramen (lots of veggies!!).

I went last tuesday before my work shift. It was my first time stopping by. I placed the order on a kiosk and I saw a couple already getting their food. I had a question on the ordering kiosk so I asked an employee. They were honest with me saying they were still new. He came back with the answer then I finalized my order. I enjoyed the dim lighting and the view of the street. I ordered the Spicy Miso Soup and it for sure had a kick of spice and I liked the noodles. I will definitely be back!

Great place! The Anonymous ramen is absolutely the best! The chicken ramen was really good also. The other woman that we have had has been clean not a lot of fat on it or greasy great place. Ive always passed this place hoping to try it and now I did ☺️. I went during a regular work day so it was empty when I arrived I was greeted by my host and she was so nice. She started me off by giving me Yuzu tea (so good). You are able to order from the table via QR code or on the kiosk. I ordered the tonkotsu with extra egg, seaweed and mushroom and it was delicious I also ended up taking tempura mushrooms and let me tell you it was so good! Will definitely go again and try new items. Recommend you order the Yuzu with butterfly pea flower so refreshing and good.

The ramen was very good! I would recommend adding the chili bomb to your ramen if you really like spicy. I got the vegetarian ramen and a peach soju cocktail. The only thing that was bad was there were three different songs playing in 3 different areas but it wasnt a big deal because the other 2 werent loud.

Great experience. I feel a little more hip and definitely better for having eaten a filling meal that was deliscious. They serve up some types of boba teas I have never been offered before. The one i had a was a but sweet and amazing. The place has a simple menu and from my experience it works well. Sticky buns were delightful when eaten fresh and hot as intended. The Miso noodle I had with pork comes with pickled egg was great. Felt like just the right size to be filling but not enough to make you feel uncomfortable. It was not busy time of day and the service was great. A great mix of friendly authentic and proficient. I saw this place in a book given to me by my real estate agent James Monks at Windemere Real Estate here in Riverside as a house warming gift. I can see myself coming back time and again to grab a quick lunch or early dinner here.

You get there and nobody greets you, no interpersonal communication at all and then you have to fill your own order on a kiosk… took my number and sat myself down. Ramen I ordered had two pieces of meat in it, stale mushrooms and broth was lacking any real flavor. For nearly $20 a bowl this place is NOT worth it.. gave it a second try after having another bad experience and yup still 👎🏼 would not recommend.. Over rated hipster spot.

Stopped by this place as we were passing through Riverside and it did not disappoint!The ramen was delicious but the REAL surprise were the lemonades! I got strawberry lemonade and my friend got peach lemonade. They came in big 20 oz mason jars and they were THE BEST LEMONADES WEVE EVER HAD, and Im a lemonade aficionado—I always choose lemonade when its an option at any restaurant.The ramen was of course delicious (especially the egg!), but be careful - it comes a little spicy by default unless you specify no spice. I like a little spice but my mouth was definitely feeling it by the bottom of the bowl—very glad we had the 20oz lemonades!It did feel a little weird having no interactions with staff besides them bringing you the food, but it was just as easy as ordering online, which weve all been doing for 2+ years now anyway.

Food flavor was okay, no issue there. The restaurant closes at 10pm. I placed and order for additional food using the QR code around 9:35pm. Around 9:50pm I decided to ask the waitress if my order of dumplings was almost out as it shouldnt take that long to cook dumplings. The waitress goes back into the kitchen and out comes another employee who tells me they are closed and no longer making food. Note, I had placed the order with plenty of time and even then the restaurant was still open according to their hours sign. So because everything is placed and charged to your credit card using some online system, I wasnt able to remove the additional order that was not prepared for me. I ask one of the employees for assistance. She removes the extra order from my tab and charges me. I later get home and check the receipt that gets emailed to you and found out that the employee gave herself a tip without my approval. Pretty upset about that. Not only did I not get full and have to make a detour to Jack in the Box, but on top of that I felt like I was robbed of a few extra dollars.

The food was good just the green tea wasnt prepared well. Its like they forgot to mix it so all I tasted was water and when I got to the bottom all of the powder was there. Decor still needs work inside. Nice little spot though. Waiter is attentive which is good.

Not a bad place for a quick eat. Service was good and the food overall was fine. The fried chicken wontons stole the show and were the best part of my visit. The parking situation isnt ideal, but it works. The overall neatness of the restaurant was typical of a small hole in the wall. This place is ordinary and it kind of embraces it.

Ordered food and it got there in a timely manner. I ordered the anonymous and it was the most spicy of the ramen soups. First off, the bowl looks impressive but it was like half full. Next the taste test, good flavor but not spicy at all. The soup was somewhat sweet in all honesty. Prices are ok...I was really hoping for a lot more but left hungry. There aren’t very many good ramen places in riverside, but this one is definitely worth a stop. The staff were very pleasant and polite, especially the server up front. He was very knowledgeable and even recommended the right dish according to our likings. He certainly deserved a great tip for wonderful genuine customer service. The Thai tea was amazing, very refreshing, sweet and flavorful! We had the spicy miso ramen and the spice was just enough to taste and enjoy that kick. The plain ramen had a tasty rich broth without the additions, for those who may not want it. The customer service alone was enough to leave a lasting impression. Definitely coming back for the delicious food as well!!

Zen Street is a hidden gem! Just experienced this local restaurant for the fist time and it did not disappoint. Being a vegetarian is always hard to find something I can eat and I was extremely impressed with the selection. Everything from the tea, to the spinach noodles was delicious! First, the positive. The food was incredible. My husband got the Drunken Chicken and I got the Tom Yum Udon. Amazing flavors. The Mao Mao Dumplings were delicious, and the tempura vegetables were tasty, too. I would definitely go back for takeout.Now, the negative. The staff. The wait staff here is horrible. Either they are not well trained or they dont care. When we arrived at the restaurant, there was no one at the front podium. It took several minutes for someone to discover that we were waiting in the front. After being asked for our drink orders, it took nearly 10 minutes for the drinks (water and tea) to come out and our orders to be taken. Several times we had to ask for things multiple times from multiple people because what we asked for was not taken care of (such as ordering a Thai Green Tea). There appears to be a severe lack of communication between those working here. Its not a shortage of staff - there were only a few tables of people in the restaurant, and at least eight people working and waiting tables.I would recommend only ordering from this restaurant for takeout. The food is amazing, but if you expect to get good service and good food, this is not the place for you.

The atmosphere is really unique and has a lot to look at. There are old camera and cute little puns scattered about. I will definitely be visiting again!Now for the food. My husband got the large Thia Milk Tea. It was big and beautiful and tasted better than it looked. Not over sweet but still sweet. The chicken dumplings were fried and they had a good crunch to them without being too hard. As for the ramen...first let me say, that it doesnt compare to LA or OC ramen. But for inland empire ramen it is pretty remarkable. The spicy isnt too spicy. I got a 3 chili and I used their chili bar to add more kick to my ramen. (Oh yeah, in the middle of the restaurant they have a chili bar where you can add chili, hot sauce, lime juice, soy sauce, and other things to your ramen. They have little dishes for you to fill and take back to your table.) Overall, the ramen was good, there are add ins so you can Frankenstein a bomb ramen (if you are willing to pay $0.50 - $1.50 per add in). Cant wait to try their volcano ramen!

Falling RamenSpicy Miso RamenTonkotsu RamenI was really excited about eating some ramen here. I hadnt been here in over a year or two but from what I remembered the broth was best in the area. Unfortunately something has changed and I was disappointed. We all had three kinds of ramen and almost all of them were pretty bland. I always get the Spicy Miso but it didnt have any kick to it. The Falling Ramen was the most tasteless of all but the Tonkotsu at least had a good pork flavor. The noodles in all of them were thin and tasted like plastic. The service was good and our food was brought out quickly, but I just couldnt get over the lack of the quality ramen that I was expecting. I hope they bring the delicious ramen back.

Decided to try Zen Street, it was a mistake. My vegetables tasted like mold. When I asked my boyfriend to try it just in case it was just me he confirmed it was off. I love ramen and enjoy the broth after Im done with the noodles but the flavor was horrible. I also ordered beef and got pork instead. Will not go back, very disappointed at the ramen and the fact we spent a good amount of money on it.

For the price, it was decent. But the quality of the ramen could be way better. When my friend got their order, their soup barely had any broth at all, it was almost dry. You would think for the price of this kind of food, you would get top quality dishes but I guess that may not be the case all the time. Hit or miss, might be better off going the extra distance, traveling to San Diego or Little Tokyo for amazing Ramen.

We used to come here all the time. Every time we go now theyve changed the recipe. The staff never writes our order down so they are always forgetting what we ordered. The last time we went I ordered the falling ramen which is supposed to have a chili lime flavor and comes in pork or veggie broth but the waiter never asked me which kind I wanted. The broth lacked in its usual flavor and there was less meat and noodles. I was very disappointed and left still hungry which I usually never do. I really liked this place but it needs to get it together and stop changing so much.

REVIEW: Ive been going to Zen Street for a little over a year now and this ramen house is good if you have a craving for ramen that is not prepackaged. My best friend took me to this place and I fell in love with the rich flavors of their ramen and their dumplings. Unfortunately, the last few times I have gone to their establishment their Chile Lime ramen recipe drastically changed from when I initially had it. Even though I still enjoyed the ramen it lacked the pungent lime-flavor that I was expecting from my dish. Not only that, but their soups are more of a broth base rather than a rich, creamy base which I have had at ramen house called Yushoken Izakaya & Ramen. Aside from that, their customer service is very friendly, but depending on the amount of customers within the restaurant they do tend to forget about you. My most recent visit I was only given one refill because it seemlike there was too little staff even though there were only four different parties of people. It is understandable if they are busy, but they completely forgot about my party which had never happened in the past. I will say that the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing as it infuses indoor bistro lights and minimalistic traffic decor & music decor throughout the course of the restaurant. Overall, I would recommend eating here, but not if you are expecting authentic ramen. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.

Our food was served 25 minutes after we placed the order even though it was just the 2 of us inside the restaurant. When it came out it looks like they just slap our food together and it tasted horrible. I have been to a lot of Ramen restaurants this one is #1 Worst Ramen ever. Weve been coming here for a couple years and I think ownership or cooks have changed. Stopped going for a while because we found another place in Grand Terrace that is our new favorite here in the I.E.Just got a new job down the street and have been back a handful of times and you can really tell the flavors just arent there. Broths lack depth of flavor and they try to make it up with superficial flavorings; Chilis, sauces, toppings. Noodles are average. Like someone else said, boba is on the hard side. Also, we only get 30 minutes for lunch so weve called in advance to have our food ready and every time we have to wait as if we were a walk-in. We had to end up getting it to go for lack of time. Located on central across the street from the riverside plaza. One of my favorite places to have ramen. I keep trying it hoping it was just a fluke, but it is consistently bland. If a dish is described spicy miso with pork there is no way it should not be the bland. Miso quality is probably extremely low. The Drunken Noodles ramen is probably the best bet to get any kind of flavor, obviously modeled after Thai Drunken Noodles.

Such a cute place! Surrounded by glass windows that share an urban vibe with the street around them as well as inside. It was filled with vintage cameras and vinyls on the walls. Diane said there was even events for her regulars and there was a station for guests to leave their artwork. A business you could see thriving in L.A. Tin cups for ice cold water, fit for a mule. Phuck NoFlying Chicken soup grossed me out... my brothers and I went in hungry and left hungry. Not very many options for people who dont eat pork, you could substitute any of the pork broth for vegetable but vegetable broth is very bland . They also charge extra for take out . Wouldnt go again.

Across the street from Riverside plaza, Every one was friendly, food was wonderful, the vibe was really a Zen vibe, lighting was perfect not to bright to where its blinding but no to dark to were you cant see, I would recommend everyone go at least once, you will enjoy your self
