Absolutely divine! We got the beef plate and baklava and they did not disappoint! This was the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had, it beats everywhere by a mile. The beef was so tender and flavorful, the rice had enough flavor but not overpowering. The hummus was great and the tzatziki and pita was out of this world! The baklava was also the best I’ve ever had! Not too sweet and full of flavor. The portions as well were huge and we both were left with leftovers. We can’t wait to order again. 🥳

I had an absolutely amazing dining experience at Zest Mediterranean Restaurant! The shawarma chicken and shawarma meat were incredibly delicious and packed with flavor. The crispy onion rings were the perfect accompaniment. And let me tell you about the baklava—it was simply divine! I couldnt resist taking home two dozens of them.Not only was the food top-notch, but the cleanliness of the restaurant really stood out. Its evident that the owners take great pride in maintaining a clean and inviting atmosphere for their customers.Speaking of the owners, they were incredibly lovely, welcoming, and generous. Their warm hospitality made me feel right at home. WOW blown away how wonderful this restaurant is! Dear manager, my name is Christina, I need to make sure you learn my name because I plan to become a regular.The food was delicious!! I got the vegan sampler because it has all my favorite side dishes. And my husband got the combo plate with beef and chicken. You have to try the beef (a great recommendation by the manager)! We also got the baklava and Turkish coffee. And it was legit Turkish coffee which I have not been able to find elsewhere around here!The food along with the bright colors, busy atmosphere and simple but pleasant decor made me feel like I stepped out of CA for my meal.And I can’t forget to mention how friendly and attentive the staff was! I felt very well taken care of!!

We tried out this place after reading reviews about it multiple times in the local FB group. And it did live up to the great reviews. We tried their vegetarian platter, which came with falafels, dolma, tabbouleh salad, tzatziki and hummus and would recommend getting this if youre trying out the place for the first time. The falafels were hot, crisp and fluffy; the salad was very fresh and flavourful. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Mediterranean cuisine. The service was quick and the staff/owners were friendly.

We ate there tonight with a party of 8, we called ahead and they had a table all setup for us, we had two little children and they were extra accommodating with extra pickles and pita for the little ones. Robbie our server was the absolute MAN and went above and beyond on the grade-A service. The food was so incredibly authentic and fresh, the falafel was totally unique and packed with herbs and totally homemade. The shwarma meat was delicious, the chicken and rice were also amazing, hummus was perfect, the portions were massive and we took a giant to go box home. Prices were not bad for how much food you get and for how good it was. If you want good Mediterranean food, you will not be disappointed here. It’s simply fantastic. If you are gluten free like my wife, you have a ton of options. This is a little family owned gem and if you are tired of chains and want home cooked delicious food this is the perfect spot.

Zest is Folsom’s hidden treasure! There are very few restaurants in Folsom which serve fresh, healthy and ethnic food and Zest is definitely one of them. They offer a simple menu but cater to anyone with dietary restrictions- gluten free, vegan, vegetarians. They offer burgers and kids meal. The place is clean and staff are friendly.

This place was recommended by a neighbor in our community page so we thought we’d give it a try. It’s a small restaurant with a family owned atmosphere. Staff was really nice & attentive.Food was good but definitely pricey. Compared to the dozens of other Mediterranean restaurants I’ve tried in Sacramento area; this is definitely pricey. For the price- I’d say it was definitely more bland than other similar restaurants I’ve had but the food was good.Probably wouldn’t try it again as it’s a bit pricey compared to others in the area that have similar food.

This place is the real deal. Owner is extremely nice and knows his way around Shawarma. He uses chicken breast and has it marinated way ahead of time…leaves the meat juicy and tender. Happy to have found my go to Med Food spot so close to home. I’ll be trying the Gyro next!

First time visiting Zest and we will definitely be back. We picked the restaurant based on the vast number of vegan options on the menu. The food was very tasty. We stayed a long while catching up with an old friend and felt like we had definitely overstayed our welcome, but we were told by the staff that we could stay as long as we liked! Everyone was so friendly.

We tried a small bowl of the lentil soup which was excellent. I had the falafel plate and my wife had the gyro plate. Both were wonderful. The servings were generous and the price was very reasonable. The baklava was a perfect finish to the meal. We will definitely be back.

For a person like me who is not a fan of Mediterranean food to start liking Mediterranean food is surprising. Their Eggplant wrap and the Baklava is a must try. Very friendly owner of the restaurant. He made the wrap for us even though we reached almost at the closing time. You can order online or by call for pickup.Will keep visiting this place!

We moved to the Folsom area from the East Bay. We miss the diversity in cuisine so much. I had given up hope of ever finding a Middle Eastern restaurant with an amazing menu and food that is unbelievably delicious in a relaxed setting --- until we found Zest and Robbie. His hospitality was over the top. As we were about to leave, he invited us to sit and enjoy some Turkish coffee he had just made. I am so happy this business found a home in Folsom! ❤️

Best Mediterranean food I ever had! The owner was super welcoming, and the food is very delicious. The staff were very friendly, and everything we ordered was delicious and authentic. I tried the Combo plate and it was amazing, and my wife had the authentic Lebanese Kebbe balls, stuffed with ground meat walnuts and pine nuts, it was cooked the same way we eat it in Lebanon. We only just discovered Zest in July 2023 but have been there twice in one week because it was so good the first time, and the second visit was even better than the first. On a whim we decided to try Zest and ordered ahead through the Zest business website. Incredibly friendly staff greeted us and had our to go lunch order ready quickly when we arrived. Our group had the falafel wrap, eggplant wrap, beef shawarma wrap, vegan sampler, chicken shawarma kids meal, and extra dolmas. Everything was so good - we are wowed. I ordered take out for dinner on weekday night at the restaurant. The restaurant is small with some tables for dine in. They were pretty busy and it took quite a while to get the food (around 40 minutes).I ordered chicken shawarma wrap and gyro beef & lamb wrap. Both wraps were delicious and tasted very authentic. The meat was flavorful and the meat portion was generous! Overall, it was a very good taste-wise & price-wise. The only reason I docked half star was the wait time. It seemed like they were short staffed. Ill just place phone order next time so I dont have to wait a long time there.

Two families came for the dinner on a Saturday evening around 6:45pm, after we ordered it got so crowded and owner got super busy.I highly recommend to get more staff as we had to ask 3 times to get small bowls for the lentil soup.Then again we had to ask small plates multiple times as well as water.After 30mins we got half of the order and finished . even after 1.5hrs and multiple reminders still we didn’t get the other part of the order.So many people got frustrated about this and I am not really recommending as a dine in option.However food is really tasty

Really enjoyed this place, the people and the food. It is all fresh prepared. Clearly a small-business family environment that really cares about the food. The gyro meet is not the usual commercial type. Their baklava is the best ever, not super saturated with honey like in other places and very crisp. It is type of self serve (you order at the counter and take your own food to the table). We were given complimentary soup. Both ordering in and eating out, they give complimentary pickles and olives. Great to have them in Folsom!!

No frills, no antics, just deliciously FRESH food and EXCELLENT service. Very decent prices - $18.99 for a gyro plate that included meat, rice, hummus, salad, and pita bread (might be big enough to share if youre not a big eater); $10.99 for a gyro wrap. Excellent Mediterranean place run by Lebanese brothers if I overheard right. Tried the Turkish coffee, falafel wrap, and gyro wrap. Turkish coffee was good. Not sure if cardamom is added or just the way its prepared but seems to have a hint of that flavor. Wraps were probably among the best in Folsom. The sauce in particular really makes it great plus lots of veggies including tomato, lettuce, and several pickle slices. Our new Mediterranean spot going forward.

We were driving by the area and craved some Middle Eastern food, we stopped at this restaurant (which seemed new) and we certainly did not regret it. First time at this fairly new establishment and I am so excited to have found a great go-to restaurant for satisfying my shawarma cravings. Ordered baba ghannouj for an appetizer and the chicken pomegranate plate. The baba ghannouj was so good. Had to make myself stop eating it when my plate arrived. The chicken pomegranate plate was more than I hoped for. Chicken was full of flavor and packed a sweet-tangy punch from the pomegranate molasses. Cooked very well. The side salad was not your average side salad. Lovely fresh greens, tomato, crisp cuc, and perfect dressing. Tasty hummus with TEXTURE (not a fan of the overly creamy). Rice pilaf was so good and not just a filler…Small rice grains, perhaps cooked in a spiced broth. Nice and garlicky garlic sauce. And classic pita good for dipping in everything. We even received baklava on the house! Light and flaky layers with nuts and honey. YUM. Portions were large. I can put a lot of food down, but still came home with leftovers. Walking into this restaurant was like walking into a biker bar, everyone stopped their conversions to stare at the people who just came in INCLUDING THE STAFF, but we never got a hello or a smile. If you don’t look rich, don’t eat here. They will treat you like common trash.

Lamb gyro was so good. Packed with meat, veggies, and tzatziki. Dont forget the hot spicy sauce 😋 The vegan plate was so plentiful, came with pita on the side. The falafel was moist and fluffy in the inside, crispy on the outside. Dolma was very good, and the baklava was surprisingly light and super flaky, just the right amount of sweet. Will definitely go back again.

Most amazing food, the Gyro was hands down the best I have experienced, and the Dolma was wrapped in grape leaf and tasted perfect, chicken kabob was tender and the Garlic sauce is out of this world, definitely a happy eating experience!!!

This place is very clean. The service was beyond what I would expect from a small place such as this. The owner and staff really care about the food they make and it shows. If you like Lebanese food or Mediterranean food this is a must go. The best I’ve been to in this area.

I have been waiting for them to open! They are relatives of the owner of Wallys Cafe in Rocklin. I have been traveling from Folsom to Rocklin to eat at Wallys cafe for years. I walked in no need to look at the menu ordered chicken shawarma plate and the lentil soup. If you have not had the lentil soup it is a must! I recommend the chicken shawarma and get the lentil soup!

I was excited to try Zest’s authentic Lebanese cuisine after reading positive reviews. While the staff was friendly and the place was spotless, my experience with food was mixed.The beef kebobs were incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavors. The hummus was smooth and creamy, with a well-balanced garlic and tahini flavor.However, the Mosakaa, a dish I had never tried before, was a bit bland for my liking. Served cold, it lacked the vibrant flavors I expected. The salad and rice accompanying the kebobs were not outstanding either.Lastly and unfortunately, the overpriced plates make me hesitant to return and explore other dishes.
