Irvine finally has a malatang place! So many ingredient options to choose from. The place is clean and quiet, service is good. Can’t wait to come back!
The food is awesome! And the service is even better. I ordered a spicy Malatang but i thought it is too spicy for me. I asked the staff if I can get some non-spicy soup for it. He proactively mentioned he can help changing the soup for my meal. Highly recommend this place!

It’s a great place if you like spicy food. Malatang is one of my favorite Chinese food. I tried so many different places from West to East. I have to say this is a good place to go. The price is more cheap than Flushing. Vegetables and meat are very fresh.

Super friendly staff, they open late till 2am which is rare around here! The restaurant is clean and popping even during work hours :) veggies separate from the meats. Very happy they opened a branch in Irvine ~

You get to choose toppings/ noodles that you prefer, so people can adjust how much they want to eat based on their appetite. Also has a few different soup bases or dry spot style to choose. Price is per weight. We spent around $25 for two getting one bowl to share.

Love Zhangliang. We literally used to drive 40 miles to Rowland heights for this but now it’s just in our backyard. This place is delicious. If you’re into hot and spicy Chinese noodle, this is the BEST spot for it!!!

Where did the sausages go?? Half of the meat disappeared and was replaced with all noodles. I had 7 sausages and only found 3 in my soup.The meat was essentially halved

2023-11-11 06:47:48Zhangliang is a chain restaurant. I’ve been to several other branches, all are pretty decent with good service and delicious food. But this one is the worst ever.I was asked to checkout with tips BEFORE I can eat, and received zero service at all. There was no bowl at the sauce counter. I talked to the staff for the bowls but nobody was answering. Everyone was pretty occupied and nobody cares.The worst thing is… the food they gave me was not everything I ordered. I’m pretty sure several stuffs were missing. I ordered 3 pounds of food thinking I could pack the leftovers back home for tomorrow’s breakfast. But in the end nothing was left. I know exactly one stuff was missing, and several was less in quantities. That was not what I expected for a $50 dinner.Oh btw, they put up a note at the counter saying “If you leave a good review on Google map and/or other platforms we’ll offer you some gift.” I guess this is the only reason for the high rating.
