Beautiful restaurant in a very quiet location. The food was amazing and they had a special 50% bogo. We purchased many plates; but I was impressed they had tempura shishito peppers, they were delicious.The service was outstanding, clean and spacious restaurant.

I’ve been going here for years and it’s still the same! Great food and helpful staff. I recommend getting the buy one and get one half sushi. Bento boxes and dinner plates are great as well. Dining in is excellent!

Great little sushi place. Tons of stuff on the menu. Ive never been disappointed here.I was nervous at first because the place was empty, but after sitting down for a few minutes I saw that they were super busy filling delivery orders, and then later more groups came in.Service was excellent.

AMAZING!! Havent been here in two years but went back with my girlfriend and it didnt disappoint!! Covid precautions are temperature check before you are seated and mask are required to enter! Outdoor and indoor seating is available.The food was ON POINT,AND VERY VERY FRESH!! Nothing was left and not because we were hungry, the rolls were just that GOOD!!!

Big fan of the rolls with eel, as they were fresh and tasty.Pros - Regular rolls are very good and you can get a fairly priced meal by adding many regular rolls and sharing. Sushi tastes fresh, even for take out. Cant imagine what it would be like in person!Cons - Specialty rolls are good, but not out of this world. Sauces are just generic with sweet teriyaki, and dont have any speciality sauces matching the dishes.

Took a colleague here for her bday because she loves sushi. She ordered the salmon belly and loved it. I had yellowtail, (regular) salmon, unagi and baby octopus karage. Another colleague ordered the bento lunch special and another one of the specialty rolls. We all left with happy tummies. Bonus for 90 minutes free parking. It was a tiny bit hard to find as it is not visible from the street but when I called the hostess was able to guide me there. I look forward to visiting again and trying other goodies and maybe having some sake. :)

Horrible Tonkatsu! If you want good Ramen do not come here! They don’t know how to make ramen, they put a bunch of cabbage in the Ramen completely untraditional and the broth was bland and a complete shame. The rolls were mediocre, I remember this place being better it’s going downhill.

First off, The Business - Unless you go in person, do not even try to deal with this place. DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE. They dont check the orders, and they dont seem to run their own website (even though its under their name and there is no other contact but this restaurant). Long story short, I called and placed my order through them after not getting a confirmation from my online order, and got charged twice even after being told they cancelled one of the charges. Still have not been refunded days later meaning I have a substantial charge to my account, and Im not exactly dripping with money so this is a big financial blow. For some sushi.The Food - There is also the fact that they didnt even get my order correct. I asked, multiple times, that they leave out the sesame seed topping because I have a health issue that means they cause me serious problems. When I get home, what do I find sprinkled all over my order? As a result I had forgo eating the parts where I couldnt scrape it off, once again, for a pretty expensive order. Another sushi restaurant complied with this request easily, so Zono, please explain why you couldnt? What if I had been allergic? You cant even check the other in-store because they bundle it too tightly and by the time you get home its not like I want to drive back and have the whole thing remade. Oh, and the food wasnt mind-blowing; definitely not enough to excuse this hassle. (Thank you for the 3 measly, unappetizing pieces of avocado on the bowl where it is highlighted as a star part of the dish. Whole Foods puts more avocado on their sandwiches.)Bottom Line - the sushi/food is average at best; I wouldnt mind giving it a recommendation if 1) they didnt have so many issues, 2) their customer service wasnt non-existent, and 3) if there werent so many other, BETTER sushi place literally within walking distance. Unless you dine-in, just pass on this place. (But even if youre thinking of doing that, know there are cheaper/better places all around).

Zono is a cool budget sushi place. The regular menu has all the typical rolls youd expect, with has a few items you dont see every day. Try the specials. Predictable and safe sushi experience if youre new to sushi or on a budget.Unfortunately, the service was memorably poor (the easy things like bringing waters to the table). However, Ill likely go again. The soft shell crab and scallop roll are worth it!

Terrible service and experience. Waitress and hostess kept me waiting over an hour because the pick up time kept being extended.... ALL THAT WAITING only to tell me they dont check online orders when busy. They basically told me to leave & figure it out with the app. So rude they were ignoring me not even trying to give me options, when I asked their name they both gave me the same (obviously fake) name. I will NEVER go back here, the sushi isnt even that great, I am perplexed they have so many good reviews. With so many sushi choices in the surrounding area, I suggest they pick up their game & get better. Kumadori is around the corner & 100 times better.

Really good place. There is no parking because its in a little plaza but it is across Glendale Galleria so its not really an issue. The bento boxes are delicious and they give you a generous serving. Service is also great. The place has a calm classy ambient yet very casual. Highly recommended for Japanese food lovers.

This is a great lunch spot. Its tucked just behind the shops directly on Brand, but if you manage to find it you are in for a treat.The food is very affordable and high quality. The Hawaiian roll is a favorite of mine, but most of their selection is fantastic.They recently hiked up some of their prices. So while affordable, it is unfortunate that their spicy tuna roll went from 3.50 to almost five dollars. If they lowered some of this prices down, I would be eating here twice as often.

Love spending Sunday lunches here with the family, Power Hours (Happy Hour) with friends. I pretty much go for the 3-item bento combo, love my meats. The Zono Boat is a good choice whenever relatives come over for a visit. The service here is excellent and the servers are nice. Parking is free, and dont forget to say hello to Ben whos always parked on the bench by the front steps.

The yellowtail belly was so fresh and delicious. The service was very friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Based on those things alone, I plan to return.The mussels need less mayo and more flavor, at least a smelt egg topping. Super Philadelphia roll is unique because it adds asparagus to a regular Philadelphia roll - yum! They have a lot of interesting and clever rolls I havent seen anywhere else. Ill come back to try the salmon garlic roll, among others.Hoping theyll have uni back in for next time.Theres a nearby parking structure that gives 90 minutes free parking, but be aware that they dont validate if you go over that time.

I got a bowl of totally overcooked, paste-like rice during lunch-time, which was probably heated up from the previous days leftover. Of course I didnt eat it, and I wasnt charged for the disgusting crap. But to try and sneak it to a customer who may not know better is an insult and reveals how much they care about their customers. Today I tried to make an order for pick up off of the menu on THEIR site and it turns out those are the old prices from the previous owner.... uhh how am I supposed to know that?the person that answered did not try to help at and asked “do you want it or not?”(really ..ok?.) I asked to speak with someone else and got Rebeca who stated she was the owner told her her situation and that the chicken bowl shows for $6.95 and she said that the menu is old and now the price for that is $12.something(big difference). She did not help at all and said to look at the grubhub menu not the one on the site. I asked then why is it still posted and prices are advertised if it’s not their menu. She insisted on not honoring it because I was looking at the wrong menu!!!!! Horrible customer service and lost me as a customer. So i went to dinner with my wife and son, we ordered a lot of food and decided to take the sushi to go. We put our food in the to-go box and my 3yr old run started to run outside, I went after him then noticed I didnt pick up my to-go box full of sushi. When I called them to tell them that im coming to pick up my order nobody answered. The next day I called back to speak to the manager and they said that I can only get a regular roll for free when I come make an order there again. I spent $100 on order to take home and they want to give me 1 roll for free with an order. What kind of place is this. I would recommend they learn some customer service if they want to stay in business.

It seemed like it was run by a Korean, so I went to order takeout, but the server didnt come to order or guide me even though I was standing in front of the entrance. I stood in front of the door for 10-15 minutes, and then the chef at the bar took the order form after I had written it all down. He told me to come and I brought it to him.When I brought the food home and opened it, the packaging was very bad. I ordered two rolls, but they were put in one plastic container at the same time, so I ate them without even knowing what they were because they were mixed together. I tried to go often because it was in front of my house, but I dont think Ill ever order from here again.
