Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors
660 Ventura Blvd, Camarillo, CA 93010, United States
Pick Up Stix appears to have gone through many reinventions over the years and version 2021 is just not very good.I assume the Pad Thai was missing peanuts as an error but overall the sauces just werent very good. I did get a side of teriyaki sauce as I anticipated that I may need to add an extra flavor and that was not good either. Everything seems to be vinegar based and unlike the competition PuS (unfortunate abreviation) just have inferior flavor profiles & sauces. Panda Express can have consistency issues but arguably their teriyaki sauce is good enough to cover up many sins! PuS sauces add nothing, only detract and add a flavor that is not so nice.May have been unlucky with my menu choice but nothing about it gives me any desire to go back!

This was my second time at this location. The first time I really enjoyed it, but consistency is not this locations strong suit. I have several gripes about this most recent visit. For starters the staff seems to have no clue whats going on. They are talking to each other from across the restaurant as Im trying to get the cashiers attention to take my order. The first time I went they had grilled the veggies in my bowl. Im not sure if thats how its supposed to come or not, but this time they werent grilled and were dry and tough to chew. When they were grilled they were great! So I had an expectation from my first experience that was let down, and Im still unsure of how the veggies are supposed to come!Back to the register again, with the cashier being distracted with her side conversation I wasnt given my drink and had to wait again to catch her attention. Not to mention the food had been sitting out for some time before she even served it. It was cold by the time I could start eating. There were also ants all over the counter which was sticky. I spent $15 on a bowl and a drink. And its $15 I wont see again

A little hidden gem in Camarillo, literally hidden, as I had a difficult time locating this place. On a Monday night, I had a craving for pho and consulted Yelp. This place popped up and I was trying to beat the clock of their 9pm closing time. My GPS failed me and led me into the residential area. Be sure to include the word North Lantana in your GPS search. With 10 minutes to spare, I finally made it inside. Since I get pho tai ($7.95) at pretty much every pho join I visit, this time was no different. With a Yelp check in, you get 2 free egg rolls! The lady was super nice and didnt hurry me at all as I was the only customer left. The soup broth was flavorful and not salty, which means no MSG! The amount of noodles and meat were also quite generous. The bean sprouts were fresh and crunchy. I also enjoyed the thinly sliced onions. The egg rolls were also tasty, but not greasy. All in all, Id eat here again if Im in the area and craving pho. Service was fantastic. Finally, I finished everything and was on my way around 9:30pm. The staff was very patient with me while doing other things. Thanks Basil and Mint Vietnamese Cafe!

Where to start..... Spencers has always been a good choice for fish tacos and seafood for me. They never failed to deliver and this new location was exactly what I expected from a Spencers restaurant. I live in camarillo and when I heard the news that a new Spencers was opening in Carmen Dr. My mouth started to water. I just couldnt wait! Now that it has opened I waited a couple of weeks so that the Grand Opening would not get in the way of my dining experience (such as being too busy for my liking or the possibility of having bad service due to the amount of people). Now that I had the pleasure to eat here for the first time this past Sunday, I must say that it wss just a wonderful experience. The food was awesome and the staff was friendly and attentive. I know there are some negative reviews regarding staff and possibly some food, but now that the grand opening is over, the staff has room to breathe and the food has time cook with perfection. When we arrived we were greeted with a friendly smile and our waiter took our drink orders right away. We started out with chips and salsa for ur appetizer. The chips were good and seemed to be made fresh in house. The salsa was good and not too spicey. Just good flavor and mild heat. I then ordered the fish and shrimp burrito...man was this massive! It truly is worth the money! If you have a big appetite, then then this burrito is for you. The quality was NOT sacrificed for quantity. This beast of a burrito was loaded with a good amount of fish and shrimp. It was tasty and filling. I will dedefinite order again. Then we also ordered the fish tacos and a parmesan fosh taco. These were just as delicious as I would expect from Spencers. The sauces they have for the tacos are equally delucious. Each sauce adding a unique flavor with every bite. I must say that I am very happy to have a Spencers in my neighborhood. It was a must have in this area. I greatly recommend this place. It is a must try. This place gets 5 starts from me! Keep up the great work and congratulations on your new location.
