Asian Fusian Thai and Laos Cuisine
Union Lumber Company Store, 301 N Main St downstairs #B, Fort Bragg, CA 95437, United States
If you love Thai hot accompanying your curry, Asian Fusion here at Fort. Bragg is thee place to entice your taste buds. Their curry is enriched with fresh coconut milk from fresh coconut, which takes the flavor of their curry to an exotic level of authentic enjoyment. The last asian restaurant that held my taste buds affection to this level in regards to a curry was back in Tampa, FL almost 10 years ago. Well done. This restaurant deserve all the success I hope they enjoy for many years to come.

Dont let the location in a gas station mini mart fool you into thinking this place should be passed up (we almost did). The food here is nothing short of fantastic! As I live in the Los Angeles area I have plenty of great Mediterranean/Indian restaurants to choose from and therefore have a high bar for being impressed. My daughter and I were on a road trip up the Hwy 1 and were in the mood for Mediterranean food after a long day of driving. Are we ever glad we spotted this place coming back to the hotel from Glass Beach! The samosas had a light, flaky crust different from, and frankly better than, the usual greasy wrapping. The baba ganouj had a smoky flavor that we really enjoyed. The pita bread that came with the baba ganouj was not your usual dry, generic afterthought, but a fluffy, moist, and flavorful bread worthy of enjoying on its own. Fair warning, the large gyro is HUGE (though my teenage daughter still managed to down the lions share of it leaving but a few scraps for her dad). Lest you think I am shilling or that my taste buds were overly influenced by being famished from a long day of driving, I have (or rather, my daughter has) one criticism: the mango lassi was just ok and was the only part of our dinner that was left unfinished.

Nits Cafe

We walked in about 2:30 in the afternoon. It looked closed, but said Open in the window, and while we were looking, the owner came out and invited us in. She was the hostess, cook and waitress! As we sat there, we wondered if we had made a mistake coming there, since the restaurant was empty except for us. (Afterwards we knew it was because it was mid afternoon - WAY past lunch hours!) The food on the handwritten menu sounded good, but it seemed a little fly by night. We were a little hesitant, so while waiting, my husband looked the restaurant up for online reviews. They were good, so we decided to stay.SO GLAD WE DID! The food was most excellent! I had the Thai red curry with chicken. It was the best Ive ever tasted, and Ive tasted a lot! (Thai food is my absolute favorite). My husband ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp and chicken. It was also delicious! The servings were huge, and we ate the rest the next evening. Again, we were amazed at how complex the flavors were - amazingly delicious!Dont let the atmosphere (bare bones) fool you here. It is well worth it. I dont know how this 1 woman show does it all, but she EXCELS at it!Later, when we mentioned Nits Café to our B&B owners, they said yes, that she is a top trained chef who used to work at 2 fancy restaurants in Mendocino before she went out on her own.My husband and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND eating at Nits Café. We will definitely be back on our next adventure to northern California!
