Inchins Bamboo Garden
39024 Paseo Padre Pkwy, Fremont, CA 94538, United States
Apologize in advance for a long review...I heard great things about this restaurant but never tried it. Recently a family member told me that the Sunnyvale location was really good. As I was looking up the location, there was this Fremont location that was closer to me. So I thought Id try that....big mistake. We got there around 7:15pm on a Friday night, it didnt look busy for dine in but I saw the take out que lined up on a table. We were a table of 5 including a toddler, we got seated right away. The place looked very nice and ambiant. Food was pricey here, but since this was a Indo-Chinese specialty, we didnt mind. We were given paper menu, but after we had ordered, they asked for it back right away... I thought they were single use? Our appetizers came right away, The masala butter Momos were really good, hot and sour soup was ok...more on the salty side. There was a good portion of paneer 65 but it had burnt aftertaste like the oil that it was cooked in was used many times. We tried the veg Hakka noodles and street food Noodles, we couldnt tell the difference. Wings are not their specialty at all, had better wings at a pizza place. Overall food was ok, Service was ok too, they gave us a cup of soup instead of a family bowl. For $16 noodles, there was no wow factor or anything special about it. During the end, the bill came quickly glanced at it and gave my card. As I got back the receipt to sign, I saw the suggested tip added that to the bill, picked up our left overs and left to my car. I then started to review the bill thinking wow this was really expensive place, and that where I made the mistake, I didnt know that they already charged 21% gratuity! I thought gratuity was over 6 ppl! I quickly went back to the restaurant to see if they can cancel my extra tip of 15% the lady at the front desk stated its too late now, I cant reverse the tip and its too long and complicated. I noticed she was using a POS system, so I knew she was lying. She stated that gratuity is over a party of 5 which I never heard of?? Maybe wrong... Either way she didnt want to help me, got 36% off of a $200 bill. My issue is that I gave extra tip on top of a already 21% gratuity added and they didnt care. This was my final tip to them. Never coming back...
A Sack of Potatoes
37100 Fremont Blvd, Suite #3C, Fremont, CA 94536, United States
Great service- loved the Oreo milk tornado & steak bento. Their fruit teas are their specialty. Although they are an Asian fusion restaurant they only have agar crystal jelly not standard boba. You are likely to find something enjoyable on their menu.
Burma Bay Cafe
47966 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539, United States
If youre new to Burmese, I can best describe it like: if you cant decide what you wanted for dinner and had Thai, Chinese, Malaysian and some Indian food at the same time. ? My hubby hasnt had it more than once, so he was hesitant when I said I wanted to try this new San Jose spot that popped up on Doordash. I have since changed his mind on this cuisine. What we got delivered:Salt & pepper chickenBurmese style beef curryTea Leaf saladNan gyi dokPineapple fried riceThe Burmese Beef curry is tender like a proper pot roast, but this luscious curry flavor is unlike any other curries Ive tried before. This dish was hands down my favorite! The mouthwatering sauce was so delicious, I kept spooning it out of the to go container when the hubby wasnt looking. They didnt skimp on the amount of beef either, which surprised me. It always annoys me when I order curry, theres like 4 small pieces of meat with tons of sauce - not the case here!Everyone always recommends to try a tea leaf salad when you have Burmese. This is an unique salad with a ton of yummy crunchy ingredients you dont normally see in salads, and it deliciously compliments the tea leaf dressing. Worth a try if you havent before.Even though my hubby wanted pineapple fried rice (yum!) I wanted to try some noodles too. The nan gyi dok uses thick rice noodles that include a rich chicken curry, and a of different mix-ins! Ive never tried anything like this before, and its on my reorder list for next time! Also picky toddler approved. ???Salt / pepper chicken is my go to whenever I see it on any menu. This one had a really good spicy / sweet sauce that I loved, and the chicken was bite sized. I think it was our toddlers favorite since he kept stealing more fried chicken from my plate. The way Burma 3 packaged the food, theres no way any of your delivery drivers can tamper with the bag of food unnoticed, and thats something I really appreciated! Definitely will reorder again from here soon! Be sure to give them a try if you feel like having Asian fusion!
Sweet Garden
39473 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538, United States
This place is a steal after 9pm!I appreciate places where you can grab and go because I often find myself in that situation during the work week. So thank you Sweet Garden for making food convenient for me!Its located in a plaza with plenty of parking. The restaurant is bright and clean with plenty of seating for dine in. I was a little overwhelmed with the menu at first since they have a lot going on but choices are awesome! Especially when it comes for food.Ive tried their combo meal and also their sushi. Both of which I thought were very filling, well priced, and delicious. For their combo meal, the fried rice was very interesting (it had chicken and a hint of coconut?) it was tasty and very unique! They also had the option for garlic noodles which made choosing what carb side I want very difficult. I went with their house chicken and it was delicious! Their sushi sets are quite generous and cheap. Its definitely not going to be the most amazing sushi but its good! Theres also a super deal when you come near closing time.Ill definitely make frequent visits here and one day, Ill try the hot dog! ?
SOJO Ramen
43779 Boscell Rd, Fremont, CA 94538, United States
Since I crave ramen, I decided to order from Sojo Ramen last April since I had good experience last time pre-covid. But this time I was totally disappointed. I ordered for pick up: Black garlic tonkotsu, butter miso tonkotsu, and chicken karaage. The order was ready on time when I arrived. When I got home, I was shocked to see that the ramen I ordered only include broth, noodle, chasu & green onion! I thought last time they gave us bamboo shoot & black fungus as well. Wow! I checked back to ordering system and saw that each additional topping is $1! Honestly, Id rather a bit more and have at least some toppings on my ramen than cheaper ramen with only noodle & chasu. Another disappointment was the broth that tasted off (had some fishy taste). I thought maybe it was because of the black garlic oil but the miso broth also has off taste. The most heart wrenching thing is that the itty-bitty portion of $6 chicken karaage! It was totally not worth the price! The 6 pieces were teeny tiny like half of regular size chicken nuggets!!! And they were obviously overcooked and tough. The only good thing was the chasu. At least they gave us 3 decent slices and they were tender & flavorful. With lots of good ramen around, I wont be back here.

Red Hot Chilli Pepper Fremont
43321 Boscell Rd, Fremont, CA 94538, United States
We dined in today and ordered the following. Here are our ratings (3 adults) and comments regarding each item.We paid over $130 in total for 4 drinks (2 mocktails, 2 juices), 3 appetizers (fries, hot and sour soup, chilli chicken), 3 entrees (hakka noodles, szechwan fried rice and chilli chicken gravy) .The overall ambiance of the restaurant was okay. Dim light, music and chit chat of other customers in the store. The food arrived a bit late. We were first served our mocktails and juices 15 minutes after ordering, followed by appetizers after 10 minutes, than mains 20 minutes after that. I asked for no scallions or cilantro in our food which they listened to and nothing arrived with either in it. Staff was nice.We won't be going in again, just because we expected it to be better for the price we paid. I'll stick to Inchins Bamboo Garden (similar price and serving sizes but much better flavors)Chilli Chicken dry - 6/10, wasn't hot and fresh, chicken was chewyChicken hot and sour soup- 8/10, hot, flavorful but had minced chicken instead of traditional shredded chicken pieces. I didn't like that.Szechwan fried rice- 6/10 the chicken added in both noodle and rice were the same kind, had an intense chicken smell and not much flavor.Chicken Hakka noodles- 5/10, had an intense chicken smell and taste with every chicken bite and was lacking flavor. I prefer my hakka noodles with thicker noodles and these were thinner noodles normally used for garlic chilli noodles (maybe thats just me or thats how I grew up eating hakka noodles in Canada).Chilli chicken with gravy - 7/10, did what it's supposed to but again, it was overpriced for the portion and flavor.

Good food, poor service.Ordered the spicy chicken momos and triple szechuan chowmein. Their sauce is pretty damn good. Got kick and aroma. The chowmein was enough food for two people so it came in two takeout boxes. The issue was that because it came in two takeout boxes, I thought my order was correct when they called my number. It was only until I got home that I realized the momos werent there. Luckily, I live nearby so I went back to get it since the momos cost about as much as the chowmein.Just received kinda a blank response, but they did make me the momos in the end. Ill come back for the food, but Id recommend double checking your order if you order more than one item.
Mr. Green Bubble Fremont

It looks like the milk tea drinks are made with real tea as they proudly display the different types of tea they use in the tiny jars near the pick-up area. Thats so good to know!Service is actually really good for an Asian cafe. No attitudes, no frustrated looks, and surprisingly generous! We ordered crispy chicken and french fries but somehow the cashier heard crispy chicken and fish balls. My bf has no interest in fish balls whatsoever so we had to tell them that the order was actually FRENCH FRIES. Not only did they quickly agree to fix the order, the guy let us keep the fish balls too! He said that we had to wait for the fish balls so we might as well keep them.I was also pleasantly surprised by the lack of line. Im so used to waiting 20-30 min for my milk tea that this is something I would totally rate up for. It might be because theyre pretty quick with filling the orders and most people get it to go. They also take credit card with NO MINIMUM. Another huge plus!Okay, onto quality of food and drinks:-Im usually really sensitive about sweet drinks/dessert/chocolate, so I tend to order less sweet when I get my milk tea. I was surprised by how bland the drink was having ordered mine less sweet. But this isnt necessarily bad, it just means that their normal sweet might be the perfect sweetness level for me, for once! Who wants a drink loaded with sugar anyway, right? I will be getting my drinks there normal sweet from now on (:- I thought the oolong crema was a little disappointing. It wasnt anywhere as tasty as the MF oolong from Gong Cha, but it wasnt terrible either. Got this one normal everything since I didnt specify.- If you order mild for crispy chicken or the fish balls, they might still be a little too spicy. I dont have a great tolerance for spicy foods, but Im not a total wimp either. The spicy aftertaste is what gets you!! The chicken was very good though!- They serve ramen?! Mixed feelings about trying it. Will update review when I get the chance to try it! :P
