Ki Sushi and Sake Bar
5151 Beach Blvd A-B, Buena Park, CA 90621, United States
Was my first time here, but definitely returning in the future to try other dishes. I had the sashimi dinner which comes with assorted types and choice of a mini donburi. I chose the mini roe don, hoping for ikura, but it came only with 3 color tobiko which is fine. The sashimi was tender and tasty. There was also a large selection of sashimi from the paper menu, the menu where you have to mark how many youd like to order. They even had uni and it was about $22 for 2 pieces of nigiri sushi! I went with 2 pieces of ikura instead which came with way more rice than ikura. My fiance got the chirashidon which came in a cute wooden bathtub bowl. Both of our orders included miso soup which came without tofu or seaweed. Mini salads were also provided with our orders. They gave us plastic spoons which I thought was odd. The atmosphere was unexpectedly loud because there was a larger party behind us and they were obviously drinking and one guy wouldnt stop talking loudly. The restaurant also has a few TVs on the walls and was broadcasting golf and other sports. Overall, food and service was great, but the place isnt too fancy.
Pho 21
5434 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90621, United States
I am absolutely embarrassed and horrified after bringing friends here. The first time I visited Pho 21 it was great. This previous time was completely opposite. I am beyond disgusted and disappointed. Where do I begin?Well, to start, we entered and werent greeted by anyone. We kind of just sat down at a table that appeared clean. Next, we were brought menus and water (in styrofoam cups). Our server quickly returned and rushed us to order, I suppose I was hopeful that this meant the service would be quick, I could not have been more wrong. From there, we then waited a long time for food that is normally prepped and proportioned before opening. To break it down we ordered spring rolls (#1-A), 2 Pho Dac Biet (#4), 1 Fried Rice with beef (#33), and 3 Thai teas. These are all orders that we order at other pho places weve been to as a group and have never taken long at all.The food finally came after about 25-30 minutes of waiting. People came in after us and got their food before us. How would I describe the food, in a word, TERRIBLE! The Thai teas were extremely milky as the ratio of tea to cream was nowhere near the correct balance. The spring rolls were warm and tasted fishy. Yes we did get shrimp spring rolls, but they shouldnt be as fishy as they were. The pho dac biet broth was greasy and oily, and quite frankly tasted like dishwater. The meat either was rubbery or crumbled as I tried to eat it. The fried rice was mushy, and the meat was soft, but not in a good way.To conclude, as I said in the beginning, I am embarrassed and horrified. I will never be returning and I will never, nor would ever, recommend this place to anyone. I would however recommend staying away.
Panda Express
8039 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
This is one of my favorite places to eat at Knott's. I am glad that it was added a few years ago. Standard Panda Express menu, but limited. Not as many entrees as the regular locations. The prices are also higher than outside the park but decent compared to the rest of Knott's food. Some post that the servings are small but honestly I haven't experienced that and as a matter of fact my 18 y/o daughter, and I, share the 2 entrees and chow mein. It's plenty for us.Of course they have their Orange Chicken, always a winner and we really enjoy the chow mein.Yes, it can be busy, when the park is busy. Just like any theme park, try to eat early, or late. Avoid standard eating times.Conveniently located in Ghost Town across from Timber Mountain Log Ride and next to the Calico Mine Train. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Not a lot, so again, if you want a seat to eat at, get there before, or after, regular meal times. Has it's own bathroom. They accept the Knott's Dining Plans. Both the All Day Dining and the All Season Dining. You get 1 entree and 1 side.If you want Panda but don't want to pay an added premium, there is a location not to far away, located on La Palma Ave, across from Buena Park Place. 8317 La Palma Ave. Remember, unlike Disney, Knott's does not allow you to re-enter the parking lot without paying again.

Got both take-out and dine-in for lunch here! The menu is straightforward with visuals. I like that they have an up close photo of all the gimbaps. We got their Duo set the first time with tteokbokki and gimbap, and then a la carte the second time.Spicy fish cake, tuna, and the bareun gimbap: I love spicy fish cake, so that was tasty, although the original gimbap was my favorite because of all the fresh flavors and textures. I would get the tuna one if youre a tuna salad fan because its mixed tuna and mayonnaise. The gimbaps are all so neatly made and pretty! I love eating the ends where the ingredients look all crazy.Tteokbokki spicy: They dont play around with their spice here. When it comes to Korean spots, I always wonder if theyre spice is more sweet or actual spice, and here its actual spice. The portion is big enough for two or three people. Its really hot and chewy! I liked that they gave you fish cake in it.Deep fried set: Super crispy! I liked the texture. My favorite item is always the glass noodles wrapped in seaweed. We dipped these in the spicy Tteokbokki sauce.Assorted fish cake soup: This was so cozy and comforting. I can see myself getting this as a quick meal. We wish the weather was colder so this could warm us up more on the day we came! I love fish cake so this felt like a clean, refreshing meal. The wait time is good, the stand is convenient, and theres plenty of seating in this food court. You cant go wrong with this spot!

Poorly managed and the food was practically cold by the time it was picked up. Had to wait approximately 15 minutes for them to make extra orange chicken and walnut shrimp. Chow-mein was almost empty and burly made for the 4 plates I asked for. I did get there at 9:20pm and it seemed like they had already stopped making food because most if the staff was getting ready to leave. I asked the server a basic question and she hesitated in answering. I asked what time do they stop making food so I know ahead of time and she asked the manager if the fryer was still on and he raised his shoulders and seemed clueless. The server said it would be about a 10 minute wait for the orange chicken and the walnut shrimp. So I waited since I didnt have time to go somewhere else but when I got back there was very little servings on each of the plates so I asked if I was being punished for complaining about their service and she offered a bit extra and I refused. At this point I realized this place is the worst place Ive ever been to and will never return so I took what I had and left. I hope this store replaces there manager it with better experience with customer service and knowledge overall.

One of my favorite restaurants for Asian food
BCD Tofu House
5321 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90621, United States
Food is not bad, but the service is not good!!Tables and chairs are not clean. Hot pot rice is dry. It seems that it takes some time after it cooks. I can see some burnt rice above the hot pot, too. When it comes to food, it is not bad. Especially, galbi is great!. tofu is itself salty but I personally like that taste so it doesnt matter to me. Inside ingredients in tofu are also great. I just hope that there will be further improvement in service. I wonder whether it is business fault or servers personal fault. The food itself wasnt bad. I wondered if soft tofu could be this expensive in Korea, but since there were a variety of side dishes and croaker was served, it made sense considering that it was across the ocean from America. The taste of the ribs itself was great. The quantity was quite large. However, the servers service level is barely 3 out of 5 below average. In addition to the average service of restaurants located in Korea, it is far below the average service of restaurants located in the United States with Americans as servers. Considering American culture, where tips must be given individually, I dont understand it even more.(I went a little after 4 oclock and sat down without waiting, but the table management was a mess, and there were some seats where I couldnt sit because there was rice cake. The stone pot rice seemed to have been dry for some time, and there was a dark area on the top of the rice. Its been a while since Ive been to a Korean restaurant, so I didnt want to feel bad, so I skipped over this part without making any complaints, but I regret this. Although it was difficult to raise your hand and say what you needed, like in Korea, we didnt even check the table to see if we had what we needed while eating. If there were a lot of customers, it wasnt even 1/3 full. )Is it a problem with the ratio of tips to employees or the pay system itself, or is it because they continue to receive customers without a break time and the servers do not have a break? Also, I am very curious about whether the service training for employees at the head office was incorrect.
Flame Broiler
7941 Beach Blvd unit a, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
Worst service ever. Incompetent staff polite but do nothing ower. Its insane the situation i faced today over just having to use the rest room. I think if an employee can change there clothing and undergarments and not wash there hands and make your food then surely a perosn who has visited there location prior and not only asked but waited to use there facilities should be able to do something. The young Hispanic woman behind the counter should be fired immediately. The other one as well as she wasnt ready for work. The only person who said nothing was the Hispanic male behind the counter as he more then likely understood the situation and didnt agree. Its quite simple ill never visit this location ever again. Hey and get this when i asked to have a manager there wasnt one. At the owners other location there wasnt one there either. Seems like the lack of supervision and poor judgment comes from no one being in charge. When i asked for owners information i was given a card with the store number on. No type of help zero stars. Dont ever in your entire life visit this sorry location. You wont get a hello. Youll get attitude and rude treatment from poorly trained people. I had to wait at least 15 mins for the bathroom to be cleared from there staff member. Then to be told ive deciced not let you use the bathroom after all these events and considering how embrassed and uncomfortable i was not having had gone yet having to track down the owner and make several phone calls i think a law suit is in order. Anyone else in agreement please let me know and lets see if such discriminatory behavior can stop. Its not fair to have to wait that long to have someone smile in your face and refuse to let you use the restroom like its a joke. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS FRANCHISE TILL THESE ISSUES ARE FIXED. IT COULD VERY WELL HAPPEN TO YOU
Poki Yaki
7855 La Palma Ave #4, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
I love love love Poke and am so glad that I discovered Poki Yaki nearby so I dont have to drive all the way to Anaheim to get a good bowl.I like that the bowls are more or less all-inclusive with crabmeat, seaweed, sesame - the whole shebang. If you want avocado, thats really the only extra thing you have to pay for. Sure beats paying by topping! The fish was all really fresh and with the mix of toppings and different sauces, I was a happy camper!Get the large. Its totally worth the extra dollar and youll actually be full. Service was friendly although the two guys kept making inside jokes to each other which was weird. Whatever. Will def be back here for my next poke fix!
