Lotus Thai Restaurant
115 Hartz Ave, Danville, CA 94526, United States
Let me tell you the truth.1.We didnt book the seat. When we arrived, the restaurant was not busy (only one or two tables seated), so the waitress let us sit in the booth.2. We ordered chicken pad Thai, but the waitress didnt write down, which caused us keep waiting for the dish.3. We were asked for 20% tips because we had 6 people including babies. Usually restaurants should at least state that tips of 18% were mandatory for parties of eight or more on the bill.4. I didnt say every Asian restaurant. I said I heard that some Asian restaurant did this trick (charging tips twice) to make more money. I didnt look down on any Asians. I like Asians and Asian food.I dont think arguing with me is a good idea. We used to like your restaurant and we visited almost every week.

Panda Express

Worst Experience with Wesley Z. - Possible DiscriminationMy wife and I wanted to grab a quick lunch before our appointment, and this Panda Express was on the way, so we stopped by. The worst mistake we made this year- yes, it was that bad. When we went in (fully masked), there were two customers, one ordered to-go and the other finishing up eating inside. We got to the ordering line, and Wesley Z. was behind the counter. As soon as the interaction started, my wife and I looked at each other, because Wesley came across as extremely unpleasant and impatient, with his tone down right demeaning when repeating our orders. I was already pretty mad before finishing orders. While there were two small tables without blocked signs (social distancing, which we respect), I double checked to make sure it was okay to dine in and Wesley said that small table only in a very annoyed manner. What happened next completely infuriated us. Right when we sat down, a younger Caucasian gentleman came in (no one else in between the few minutes), and Wesley was a completely different person, in facial expression and tone. (It was night and day, and my wife agreed.) Now, the two interactions (us and the young gentleman) were just a few minutes apart, and the only difference was we are Asian and the young gentleman is Caucasian.Another employee identified Wesley, who he himself is Asian, as the manager later. It is a disgrace for a manager to behave / treat customers differently based on races. I wish he is on the receiving end of the discrimination himself so he knows how my wife and I felt. Panda Express needs to have him go through discrimination training!
China Gourmet
426 Diablo Rd W25, Danville, CA 94526, United States
I would never have found this on Google without someone else telling me about this place. I got takeout..vegetable egg rolls, beef with tomato, beef with broccoli and chicken with green beans. The best most tender meats I have ever gotten from a Chinese resturant! Everything was delicious! They have an extensive menu including chow fun and no msg and low sodium. This is a small place in the smart and final shopping center, and easily overlooked, but check it out. You wont be sorry.Theyre open for lunch except Sundays and theyre open for dinner every day. If you are In the shopping center during closed hours they have paper menus available to take outside the door. Delivery with DoorDash
Yos On Hartz

The service is polite, the food good and the price correct although a little bit more expensive than in other asian restaurants. But even if the place is defined as « fusion » restaurant, I find it very ordinary.
Amazing Wok
9000 Crow Canyon Rd H, Danville, CA 94506, United States
Edit to add that the owner is not telling the truth if they are now claiming that they dont serve haram alongside halal food.Original review: Since Google keeps shadowing my review from last year, here it is again. Edit on 22/12/23: Google is suppressing this review that I made four months ago.Review: The owners of this restaurant do not understand what it means to advertise your restaurant as halal. Halal is not just offering meat that has halal certification. It means ensuring that the entire offering of food complies with halal standards, which is why real halal restaurants display the certification. The owner of this restaurant admits that they serve haram alongside halal. It would be like telling a vegetarian that your restaurant is vegetarian when you also serve meat, and prepare the vegetarian meals in the same kitchen as you prepare the meat meals. No matter how careful you are, you will always have the risk of some level of cross contamination. If they were honest they would say that they offer halal meat, for those who sort of observe halal rules by eating halal meat, but for those of us who actually are halal observant it is simply not possible to know for sure whether the haram foods have cross contaminated the dishes cooked with halal meat.Dietary restrictions: They are not halal certified

I cannot praise this place enough. I came here on a hot summer day with my niece and the staff made sure all of their dine in patrons were comfortable by adjusting the fans to their preferences. There was a couple celebrating a birthday so the staff placed a candle on her dessert and sang Happy Birthday to her. That was incredibly sweet of them to do!As soon as the honey toast arrived at our table, my niece could not stop eating it. She loved it so much that she forwent her utensils and stuck her face onto the plate. It is truly a delight every time I come here.
Blackhawk Museum
3700 Blackhawk Plaza Cir, Danville, CA 94506, United States
Not just an auto museum anymore. Kenneth Berhing, the developer of Blackhawk and San Ramons Canyon Lakes Development and one time owner of the Seattle Seahawks, was also a world class collector of classic and antique autos and motorcycles and the founder of the Blackhawk Museum that displays these prized vehicles. He then collected a lot more stuff from around the world. There is an African Art exhibit called Art of Africa. A Spirit of the Old West that is on the top floor, which includes a California section. And now an extensive Chinese Art and Culture exhibit called Intro China. The Chinese Art is not necessarily antique or old, but lots of reproductions. There is the massive model of The Forbidden City and Terracotta Warrior section.A con is all the Chinese Art descriptions and wall descriptions are in English Only. It should also be written in Chinese. You can rent out this place for private events. You can have your party on the first floor in the massive room that beautifully displays the global collection of classic autos and motorcycles from around the world. The front entrance has a ramp to the side of the building so that people using wheelchairs or pushing strollers can easily enter.Blackhawk Museum is located at the far back within Blackhawk Plaza. Parking is free in the Blackhawk Plaza parking lot.Museum does have individual and family annual memberships for sale.
