Octopus Japanese Restaurant
112 North Artsakh Ave, Glendale, CA 91206, United States
I have eaten at the Octopus in Burbank before and had a nice experience but this was my first time at the one in Glendale. The place was a little chaotic to be honest...We opted to sit at the sushi bar in stead of waiting for a table since we were starving. The metal foot bar under the counter was broken, so everytime someone sat down and adjusted their feet on it, it would swing up and hit me. Totally random and pretty annoying actually. We got our drinks quickly and ordered a few rolls, sashimi and some fries..or so we thought. Half of our sushi came really quickly and then our chef disappeared for like 20 minutes. No fries...no rolls. My bf and I kept ourselves busy with small talk but I was very distracted by the hangry that was quickly growing. Eventually our chef returns and we wait another 15 min for the rest of our rolls. But no fries?! Which I would have thought would have been the first thing to come out? Soon after, they bring us the bill and I inquire about the fries. The sushi chef reported that he had called a waitress over to us to come take our fries order but apparently she ignored him an never came over? Lol ...In the grand scheme of things, we didnt need the fries after all we had eaten but it was pretty poor communication amongst the staff. I also had noticed that the chefs were disorganized and sending orders out to tables that already had gotten their food, etc. It was kind of a mess.Overall, food was good but the experience was meh.
Panda Inn
201 N Maryland Ave, Glendale, CA 91206, United States
Overall a very good dinning experience. Pleasant environment, welcoming host and very good service. They pay careful attention to the details. We order a specific drink, because they didnt have it, the bartender personally came to the table to let us know and offer some suggestions. The food was very good. We order lettuce cups with minced chicken, roasted pork belly (excellent) and sauteed vegetables. Our favorite was the roasted pork belly. This is not really a traditional Chinese food, but more of a fusion modern pan asian restaurant. The prices were a little bit too high though. Still I highly recommend it. We will return.
Kozy Korner Thai Food
213 W Wilson Ave, Glendale, CA 91203, United States
Delivery Review:I was starving and I wanted something healthy but delicious that wasnt my normal go to of Chinese delivery. So I found this place. And god knows theres not enough good delivery in Glendale. For the price I got the amount expected. Its not overflowing like youd get at Chinese fast food, but its definitely enough to fill me up with some leftovers.#15 Tom Yum Koong 4.5 stars;Very good. Its not 100% made from scratch but its pretty darn close and it taste better than most Tom Yum Soups in Glendale where they give you a tiny bowl of flavored water with 1 shrimp in it and nothing else. This one is not like that. Its overflowing with veggies/mushrooms AND shrimp.# 63 Ginger (chicken) 3 starsThis was very plain tasting, nothing stood out. Though, it was very healthy and extremely light (youll need to add some soysauce to it if you want more flavor) and pairs excellently with a heavy flavored dish (like the Spicy fish) so it worked out great as a palatet cleanser. I wouldnt recommend getting this by itself as it would be too boring for most.#84 Spicy Catfish 5 starsThis was by far the best thing I ordered and one of the best tasting fish I ever ordered anywhere in an Asian restaurant in Glendale (I know, kind of crazy, right!) But I think a hidden gem at this place is their fish. It had tons of flavor and very fresh. It tasted authentic like a good home cooked fish. If youre only going to get 1 dish, dont get a chicken dish, or any other meat (based on the multiple mixed reviews) get one of their fish dishes.Unlike the other reviewer that said the spicy is too spicy I care to differ. And I fricken love spicy, I love spicy more than you. I ordered it authentically spicy and it was perfect. It didnt kill the flavor at all it was a great.Dont get the other meats. Get the fish! You wont be disappointed. My food came in 20 min. Thats the fastest delivery Ive ever gotten and they gave me a free Thai tea. This place is great for the price.
Fuji Buffet & Grill
300 Harvey Dr, Glendale, CA 91206, United States
Where do I even start with this place. My family and I do love going to buffets, but since COVID happened its been less likely for us to eat at a buffet. Eating here didnt help either. Anyone who knows good Asian food doesnt mean the service is always great which doesnt bother me Im there for the food. Keep in mind its not that theyre mean theyre just more focused on serving you. Theres a hibachi grill in the area that a guy cooks on which is fresh. However when you start getting into the main food thats where it took a turn for me. Food was cold by the time you got back to your table which means the food was never hot to begin with. ?? Sushi was lukewarm and to be honest I probably only like two dishes that were there. The almond shrimp and the... Wait never mind thats the only dish. The hot and sour soup was completely watered down with no ump! I would never come here again or recommend anyone to come here either. This place really let me down I dont believe the hype or the pictures that are shown. As a matter of fact the reason why I didnt post any pictures is because I was that disgusted I just wanted to leave. Dont get me started on the restrooms either. Yuck. Just not kept up at all. There are some things that I will let slide when it comes to the grade of this place, but it was just downright disgusting. And if anyone knows about going to Asian restaurants even if they have a low rating or grade that normally doesnt matter as a matter of fact it probably tastes good. Not in this case there is nothing in that could save this place. Just dont go here. Youre better off going to In-N-Out its right next door anyways.
Teriyaki Me
207 W Wilson Ave, Glendale, CA 91203, United States
Havent been here since 2013 when I worked in Glendale and I wanted my wife to try it since we were passing through. Did not disappoint. Some of the best teriyaki in the greater Los Angeles area in my opinion. And I grew up in a part of the country that spoiled me with bomb teriyaki so its always nice to find a place thats on par! Its all about the chicken thighs. Their sauce, hot sauce and dressing took me back to a different time in my life. They kept it consistent. When I ordered the # 10 I thought to myself, yep it was the # 10 almost 10 years ago too lol Tempura is on point too. If youre looking for teriyaki in Glendale, this is the spot.
Zono Sushi
139 N Artsakh Ave, Glendale, CA 91206, United States
Long time coming (because we are REGULARS) so bear with me. This is regarding the SERVICE ONLY and specifically with the older Asian waitress. She’s ALWAYS in a rush no matter what time or day you go. She doesn’t let you finish your sentences before she starts running away. And because she runs away, she makes the ordering process longer because we can only ask her for ONE thing at a time. BECAUSE SHE RUN AWAY & DOESNT LET YOU FINISH ORDERING . Saturday we went & inside was 3-4 families already, felt very stuffy as though there was no oxygen circulating. I figured they didn’t have the AC on so we decided to sit outside because it was hard for me to breathe inside. I asked the male waiter if it’s ok to sit outside, and he said yes of course anywhere you like. After the 2nd time coming to our table, the Asian waitress lady stated very frantically that her arms were so tired from pushing the door open/close to come outside to wait on OUR table. I was like okay sorry? Third time around she came MORE FRANTIC, literally running towards us, she shoved the Pepsi cup in front of us and threw the straw saying “it’s so busy, I’m so busy!!! They’re calling me!!! EVERYONE is calling me!!”. And ran off. The Pepsi had spilled everywhere and made a mess. She had brought the food before that but no utensils/straws for the waters. And when I tell you I had no chance to get 2 words in because she threw things on our table and ran off. We sat there staring at our food because we had no utensils, no napkins to clean the table after she threw my Pepsi on the table. (She even saw that she spilled it & made a mess but didn’t even care an ounce). She then no longer came to our table & instead sent the male waiter to take care of us. I have never in my life experienced such bad customer service from someone. How can you in the slightest tell a customer where to sit when your restaurant is super small and not that busy?? Plus we were told to sit wherever we like. How can you be so rude & acting like it’s the end of the world because there’s 8 people dinning there? She literally told us she has no time to breathe or drink water. Like what??? Lady, you’re not working at the Cheesecake Factory. CALM DOWN and stop acting so extra. Very rude and insulting. We come here once, sometimes twice a week almost EVERY week. I’m sorry to say that I won’t be returning here anymore. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. She’s too much and I can’t handle her. I go out to eat because I want to relax with my husband. Not be stressed out by her.Sad to say that the restaurant will lose business because of her. There’s more things I want to say but it’s already an essay so I’ll leave it at that. By the way, the male waiter is excellent,100/100.

While visiting Glendale, I had a taste for some pho. However, my time didnt permit me to sit down and enjoy the dish, so I chose to grab a snack instead. My google search showed this restaurant with pretty decent reviews so I decided to give them a try.I ordered the calamari. The image on the menu shows it being fried which I am familiar with. However, once I recived my order, I noticed that the calamari was fried as a ball. The batter that is used is more similar to what I know other Asian cultures to use.The calamari was fried well and was fresh. The sauce is very tasty and the daikon/carrots side was nicely done as well. The staff was polite and attentive.Next time I hope to try out their pho..My only critique - is the false image of the dish. Other than that, I would come back.
Wongs Wok Chinese Kitchen
1415 E Colorado St, Glendale, CA 91205, United States
Yes.found this place by accident. I was actually theres for zankou chicken, which is good, but not as good as wongs wok. I dont even go to zankou anymore. im asian, I live in the san gabriel valley, and wongs wok is one of the best fast chinese food ever, the orange chicken and chicken wings (which is like salt and pepper squid, except chicken wings, if you know, you know what im talking about) are simply amazing. the food, esp the chow mein and rice stick noods tastes just like my po po used to make T.T nostalgic tastes and the tastes bring back great memories. the cook here def deserves a big raise. if they dont have what you want available, you only have to wait 5 minutes and theyll make you more (orange chicken nom nom nom). I always get a combo of all noods and 2 items.. its like $8, super reasonable and they pile the food until the content looks like its going to burst.there are only a couple of negatives, they charge you .50 to use a credit card ... and parking is tight if you show up at premium eating times.despite the negatives, this place is worth it, so that says all you need to know!! support small businesses. try wongs wok, you wont be disappointed. promise.
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar
1314 Galleria Way, Glendale, CA 91210, United States
Fun concept for a conveyor belt sushi joint! This joint reminded me of my travels to Tokyo because of the quirky tech. Not the food though, just the tech...I arrived an hour before closing on a Friday night for a table for 1 and still had a 30 min wait. Luckily, its in the mall with quirky shops around and they text you updates.$3.65 every plate. The plates arent color coded for price. Theres a sensor on top of the lid when you pull the plate. Then when youre done, you shove the plates in the chute in front of you, which turns out to be pretyy fun!And you order other items via the tablet above your head and they slide it to you with precision on the 2nd level shelf. However, I didnt notice descriptions on the items. Whats in a tiger roll? Whats in a crunchy dragon roll? Who knows. Just order it and try it. (Probably sucks for dietary restricted people, they should have a filter feature on the tablet).A server never came to me but did introduce themselves to the couple next to me. Ordered a water with the tablet and it never arrived (user error?). Probably because I was by myself and they didnt notice. However, the server I waved down was really helpful with my questions.I ate about 9 plates so it came out to around $40 before tip. Is that a good deal? The food was nothing to rave about but I do stuff my face more than the average person. So price is okay... I do wish they had more sushi variety. Got bored quick with the sushi plates.Fun concept to introduce to friends/family, but I probably wont be a frequent attendee.
Pok Cafe
120 N Brand Blvd, Glendale, CA 91203, United States
With fresh ingredients and an attentive staff, the Poke bowls here are excellently crafted and delicious. The variety of available ingredients seems to be plentiful most of the time. Everything is smartly organized as the staff constructs the orders. Bins are covered which shows some attention to detail. The pricing is a tad high for what you are getting, but the premium is in the details. The staff is completely focused on their work. I can see that much of their business is for takeaway and online deliveries. Expect to be not greeted as you walk in. Just fill out the order sheet and hand it over to the clerk near the register. A bit cold sometimes, but they are serving Poke.
