We were in Willits, for the night and went to Szechuan Asian Restaurant, based on reviews of all restaurants in the area. The atmosphere was nice, typical Chinese restaurant decor. The server was terrible. We asked for tea and he brought one cup instead of two and no spoon for the ice sugar. We ordered Miso soup and both bowls arrived barely warm. After waiting a few minutes and trying to get his or anyones attention. I finally went to the kitchen entrance to let him know the soup was cold. By the time the manager arrived at the table, our entrees were already being served. I told the manager that since our food was already on the table to forget about the soup and take it off the bill. The two entrees were very good, beef with tofu and chicken curry. Both were served in nice sized portions and were flavorful and hot. Our two orders of brown rice were warm, not hot. No one stopped back at the table to ask how the food was or if we needed anything else. We had to make another effort to get additional hot water for the tea. We spoke to the manager after our meal and he was very apologetic for the poor service. He brought us three small fried ice cream balls which was a nice gesture. Maybe the fellow serving us was having an off night, but the dining experience was disappointing, especially in light of the positive reviews. It was not extremely busy during the 45 minutes we were there, less than half the tables were occupied. The menu was quite extensive and everything was very fairly priced.

Peter is always really kind when I come in and his sushi is delicious. Im very grateful the small town of Willits has such a great Asian restaurant.

This review has been on hold for too long. So on Wednesday I was over the hill for a doctors appointment and a bit of shopping. I was famished on my way home and remembered one of you our amazing friends telling us about an Indian restaurant in Willits… so I had to try it. As I approached there was a ton of kids on break for lunch from school milling about. As I entered I was greeted warmly and looked around. Nestled within this convenience store is a little restaurant. As you can see their menu is copious. Interestingly at this time of a Hindu festival it's all vegetarian/vegan until the 25th, I wasn't daunted in the least. I was given samples and everything from the Dal to the Bhaingan was divine. I had a mushroom dish, cabbage dish and an eggplant to go with my rice and naan. The portion sizes are huge, flavor amazing and service was friendly and professional. Try the tamarind sauce, it is perfection. I recommend that all of you stop in and give them a chance, please tell us what you think. I will be back for their Goat curry ?. Once again Willits hits a homerun with the diversity of their dining choices.

What a great spot! Everything so fresh when you place your order you can hear them chopping and cooking everything to order. Very kind and thoughtful owners always smiling and thanking us. Every time I am looking for a flavorful meal at an affordable price I come here. There's even a great bar next door when you need a drink. When you're looking for great Thai food with a large menu with great choices come by Bangkok. Nice outdoor covered patio Outback and seating indoors as well.
