Little China restaurant LA
3636 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90019, United States
Love this place!!! I think that this is best Korean Chinese restaurant in Los Angeles. I enjoyed the jjajangmyun( black bean noodle) and jjambbong( spicy seafood noodle soup) a lot because it wasn’t overly spicy and broth was a good. It is favorable unlike any other… and extremely large portions for the price. I also loved kkanpoong shrimp, fried to so crispy and sauce was flavorful. And that’s definitely a must have! Got to try the most popular dishes Chinese Yellow Leek w/ pork was so amazing and so delicious. The owner and workers are super sweet and food is amazing all the time. Try it all love it!!!

Great. I go to this place often. This is a very good restaurant in Chinatown. Many other restaurants serve American-style Chinese food. Liangpi, steamed noodles and Roujiamo go perfectly together~~

Nice place, they serve real Chinese food with fantastic favorite, better than most of noodle restaurants I have around this neighborhood. Always on my come back list.

Very authentic Chinese restaurant featuring some western province Chinese dishes. Beef noodle soup, lamb paomo, cumin beef, red braised ribs, chinese mo sandwich are all really yummy. They have some american chinese dishes like mongolian beef and sweet and sours but they’re subpar. I get it, these dishes don’t exist in China so it’s not their forte. When in doubt, order whatever you’re not familiar with and it’ll be legit.
Flavors of Thai
1275 S Union Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90015, United States
Low Quality/ Mid AFI was expecting some Great Thai Food, especially for the price but I got that feeling of like visiting a whatever Panda Express Style Chinese Food that have those Combo A, B, or Cs.Whoever cooked my food doesnt know how to use a Wok well or the right amount of seasonings...Noodles were overly boiled, so when they pan fried it they just became soggy.Flavor is not quite there either because whoever cooking doesnt know how to properly use the Wok (youre supposed to use the highest temperature possible and constantly toss it over and over maintaining a balance of everything...its hard to explain but when you know how to cook this type of food you know when the skill is lacking.)Theres a One Two step in cooking these type of dishes and it feels like it was just thrown into the Wok at the same time...No Bueno.Tip for the restaurant...Boil the noodles less as you prepare the meat then sauce...Throw in the noodles Al Dente...Then throw in the vegetables last...I also dont taste much herbs in here like garlic...actually it tastes like that cheap garlic in a jar...not the fresh one.Need more basil too...I ate this a couple years ago and was disappointed so I wanted to give this another try today because I was craving Thai food...sorry but I am staying away for good.It just tastes like noodles soaked in oil and sodium and the meat doesnt even have a nice char to it, tastes like frozen meat thrown in the deep fryer and not even seasoned too good.Like I said earlier whoever cooking this is just throwing everything in the Wok, without the proper methods of these dishes...worst $20 I spent in awhile.I honestly want my money back.

Costumer service here is horrible! Not one employee is friendly! Very hostile! I came in yesterday evening with my 3 kids, my toddler forgot her mask but my 3 kids proceeded to sit down & were no where near 6ft close to any other person, I believe the manager for the evening shift was the one who asked She doesnt have a mask & I said She forgot it & she rudely responded Well shes going to need one so I asked You dont provide courtesy masks to your costumers & she rudely responds No talking to me as if I was a child. Its odd that shed make a big deal over a 4 year old not having a mask when their hand sanitizer stations werent even filled. After she has a very abrupt & bad attitude with me & in front of my kids, she has the audacity to pick up her phone & answer a call while she has a plate in her hand ready to serve another costumer. I saw how the other costumers were unhappy & eager to get out. After I paid & received my fountain drinks from Stephanie L & she didnt offer no straws, I went back to the register to ask her for straws but she seemed too busy to acknowledge I was standing right in front of her, so I pulled 2 straws from the box so she can tell me in front of the whole restaurant, Next time just ask how about next time you ask the paying costumer ordering multiple fountain drinks if theyd like straws! I will not visit this place again!
Kyodong Noodles at Madang
621 S Western Ave Suite 303, Los Angeles, CA 90005, United States
Ulppong is the most delicious. If you have never tried it, be sure to try it!!There are plenty of seafood and vegetables, and all menu items are very generous. For those who cant eat spicy food, I highly recommend Ulppong rather than Jjamppong! Awesome ? I mainly eat ulppong. Its a menu item you cant taste anywhere else, and its really delicious (however, if you dont want it to be spicy, be sure to ask for the chopped jalapenos to be omitted, or ask for it as a side and add as much as you like.)Once you order and call the number, the food comes out pretty quickly. Its a self-service pick-up service, so you can take as much pickled radish and water as you want (the Korean staff is friendly, so its a good idea to leave a tip in the tip box^^)If you go for lunch on a weekday, you can get Jjajangmyeon for less than $10, which is probably the cheapest price in Koreatown, so its a great place to eat with friends and acquaintances, and the portions are generous enough to share.Ive been stamping it for two days in a row. I enjoyed it today as well. Thank you.Affordable authentic Korean (Chinese cooking style) foodThe black bean noodle Jjajangmyun Jjajangmyeon is one of the most popular Korean food, the bean sauce with pork is really tasty.(As featured in the Korean drama My Love from the Star 来自星星的你)The weekday lunch hour special price for black bean noodle was $7.99 (for dining in only).**Make sure to mix the noodle very well with chopsticks before you eat, ask or look at other people around you if you don’t know how**You can ask for fork if you’re not comfortable using chopsticks too.Super affordable price on all menus, for authentic Korean cuisine dine-in restaurant. This is self-serving restaurant, (this is typical for affordable restaurants in Korea, you gotta understand the cultural difference here, thats why they can keep the cost of the menu affordable) you pay first on the counter and then pick up later when the employee calls out the receipt number; so you have to hold on to the receipts with the number printed to show the person at the counter later. If you love real spicy food (and seafood) Jjamppong is pretty good. Huge portion. (note: pretty spicy for some Korean Americans too. I think the spiciness is same as in Korea menu)I highly recommend Ulppong, so worth trying (**best menu in my opinion for the restaurant, other places do not have this menu**)Ton of shrimp, clams, and squids goes inside, which is similar to Jjampong, but not spicy at all if you ask to take out the jalapeños, good non-spicy option for kids to eat too.Tang soo yuk (sweet and spicy sauced fried pork) is really good too.Overall all dishes are real big portion to share with whole family, or large groups because the prices are good especially on weekday lunch hour.If you share on Facebook or Instagram, you can get a free drink; I got free Milkis, Korean milky soda. (Taste a little bit like Calpico but corbonated version)If you eat alone or have a lot of left over food, you can ask for take out box to go.If you’re looking for cheap eats, what a gem to find in the heart of Koreatown!Located on 3rd story of Madang plaza, free parking validation stamp provided from the restaurant. If you only visited Madang plaza because of Daiso, H Mart, Paris Baguette or Somi Somi, this restaurant is a must-try.Whole Madang plaza has some real good places to visit, both for shopping and eating.Thank you for the great food again,I came 2 days in a row because it was so good!!I’ll come back often :)
Pho Family Restaurant
1025 N State St, Los Angeles, CA 90033, United States
This is my 3rd or 4th time getting pho here over the last 4 years. Every time I have gone back, the pho was not as good as the previous time. I agree with a previous comment that the broth and meat were just flavorless. I also ordered fries for my son and the first couple were okay, but the rest tasted like the lid for the salt shaker fell off as they were so salty, we couldnt eat 1/4 of them, not to mention it was a really small order. My friend ordered the ramen and said it was just ok. The only reason I didnt give 1 star this time was that I also ordered the Alaska Roll, which was really good. This time, the service was bad too. I ordered online via their website and showed up right at the pickup time. On arrival, the woman asked if I wanted to order. I said no, I already did and am here to pick it up. She stared back at me blankly and asked my name. I told her and she started poking at her tablet before calling back to the kitchen. A guy came out and they spoke in Japanese and he shrugged his shoulders. I showed her my email confirmation and after a few more minutes of messing with her tablet, she says it will be 15 minutes. I asked what the issue was and she used her phone to translate that their network was down and the order didnt come through. During the 15 minutes I was waiting, there were 2 or 3 other people who came to pick up their delivery orders without any issues. Finally my order is ready and I go to pay and she tells me how much and I say, no, it should be this much, again showing my phone receipt. She again confers with the guy in the back and finally changes the price. No apology, no discount, didnt throw anything in. That was it.
Yuchun Restaurant
3185 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90006, United States
Yuchun is my go to spot for Korean noodles and dumplings in Los Angeles.I must note in advance though that the service is not that great. Essentially, this restaurant is a great example of a restaurant serving amazing food but lacks in service. If you are asian, I am sure you can think of a handful of restaurants like this. Regardless however, I can almost guarantee, that you will find yourself coming back for the food.Yuchun is known for their cold noodles, whether this is their mul naengmyeon (물냉면) or bibim naengymyeon (비빔냉면). The main difference between the two is one is served with a cold broth* and the other is served with a cold sweet and spicy, red sauce.*In case you are not familiar with how to eat mul naengmyeon, you are generally given vinegar and horseradish to season your cold broth to your taste. The white vinegar gives the broth a tanginess and the yellow horseradish sauce is there to give it a little kick if you like spicy foods. Do note that horseradish sauce is in essence what is used to create wasabi. If you add too much it will affect your nasal cavity first.Yuchun is also known for their (김치왕만두) or giant steamed kimchi dumplings. I absolutely love these dumplings and would 10/10 recommend! The restaurant sells its frozen dumplings by the bag so you can purchase them if you would like. While you are there, do not forget to take advantage of the self service hot broth offered. It's called yooksoo (육수), or savory beef stock. People typically drink this before eating the cold noodles. In case you needed further elaboration regarding my note above, this location gets pretty packed during the day and the staff is understaffed, with the more skilled kitchen workers occasionally not being present, leading to Yuchun being “sold out” of menu items. Service may also be a bit worse to guests who do not speak Korean as the hired staff are generally Korean and/or speak limited English. If service is king for you, you may not like this restaurant. However, I highly recommend you to at least try the food before making a verdict.(By the way, the noodles at this location are better than the ones at the new location that opened up in Buena Park).
Firebelly
615 N Western Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90004, United States
Was hoping for delicious Szechuan food. Instead got over priced mediocre fare. Also did not get notification that food was ready for pick up, so after 40 minutes found food had been waiting, was cold, and even less appetizing. Meh.
