Trieu Chau Restaurant
4401 W 1st St #4016, Santa Ana, CA 92703, United States
If there is ever a place I can safely say is my number one restaurant in all of the US, it would have to be this place, Trieu Chau. Yes, I am highly biased as this is the place my parents would take us to growing up as kids and still continue to today. That childhood nostalgia and pure foodgasmic joy experience from each and every meal here is simply priceless.Their noodle soup, is something I have not tasted anywhere else. Theirs is the best. My usual go to is either the #19 - Chao Chow or the #21 - Chao Chow with duck. Order some of their #05 - fried dough also to dip in your noodle soup and you will quickly find your place in a food heaven of flavors. Be warned, sometimes the fried dough sells out so come early. Today we also ordered the #01 - fried crab and shrimp ball, not my favorite, but a lot of my family craves this dish with a passion, and the one that they make here is superb. Another favorite here (I dont know which number) is their chow fun type stir fry dish with mix of beef and seafood (similar to pad see ew dish if you are familiar with the Thai variant). There was about a 20 minute wait for our party of 4 to get a table on this Sunday morning around 10am. Service is always impeccable and efficient. My noodles quickly were absorbing all my soup and pretty soon I could not see much soup left. Asked the wait staff if I could get a small bowl of more soup stock and we quickly got that right away. Top notch place, with our 30+ years of loyalty of dining here year over year, we will continue to come here for many more years come. Try for yourself, you will not be disappointed.P.S. Google has this categorized as Vietnamese, but I feel it is more closer to a Cambodian, Chinese, Vietnamese Restaurant.
Spicy Noodle House

I would give negative stars if there was an option.I was looking to try something new, found this place and decided to go and thats where I made a BIG mistake!I had the worst experience here because of two reasons.I ordered the Szechuan Style Tofu with Fried rice and paid extra for the family portion because it was a meal for me and my parents. Well get to the worst part after I talk about the fried rice which just looked like theyve got it out of the fridge after 2 weeks and had nothing but cold oily rice. Now lets get to the main thing. The so-called Chef Recommended Szechuan Style Recipe which was the worst thing Ive ever tasted. It was the most oily soup with a ton of salt. I couldnt even eat more than 3 spoons because it was that nasty. And I would like to point out that I really tried to eat it.I thought of letting the bald guy in the front know and that was another HUGE mistake. He tried to justify it by saying that this is their style of making the Szechuan and the other places make it different. He showed me a picture on the menu which had 14 items and 5 pictures next to it. He said that we have a picture of it here, like thats supposed to justify the taste and quality of the food. I requested him and asked if I could get something else because I cant let my parents eat that. He had the audacity to say I dont think the owner would like that and well lose money if we replace it. I was nothing but nice to him and just left the place without taking the food because it was that disappointing of an experience.Tip: If you ever want to get revenge on someone, make them eat Spicy Noodle Houses Chef Recommended Szechuan Style. This is what they serve to people in hell. You should hurry before they change their recipe or remove it from the menu.PS: Losing the money didnt hurt but the fact that it was a meal for a family did.

7/2021 3/5 starsKung Pao chicken with fried rice.Kung pao was far too salty even though I like salty foods like salty preserved plum. The taste of the chicken was mostly salt instead of being balanced. Impossible to finish.Fried rice wasnt evenly cooked. Some patches of salt and pepper that wasnt mixed well into the rest of the rice. Some of the rice was hard, definitely not edible.3/2021 5/5 starsFor a shopping mall fast food restaurant, Mrs Bean has delicious noodles and steamed dumplings! The Dan Dan Noodle beef have an authentic Chinese flavor (not the Americanized Chinese fast food flavor) with well-made noodles and broth you want to keep slurping. Bok choy and Chinese-flavored, boiled egg makes it a very healthy meal. The Pork Miso Ramen has a less complex broth than the best Japanese ramen restaurants, the ones that go all out with days long cooking to make just the broth, so dont expect it to beat those. But, on its own as a mall restaurant noodle, its decent with tasty enough pork slices, egg, and a variety of vegetables to fill you up.The steamed dumplings are authentic tasting and delicious with the vinegar and soy sauce dips. Hot and juicy!

This is a typical Vietnamese restaurant that offers many different popular Vietnamese and Chinese dishes. I wouldnt categorize this place as an authentic Chinese noodle house as the name implied. We ordered some noodles and they were actually better than we thought however. Specially for the price, the broth tasted great as well as the wonton. The place is across the street from My Trieu Chau which is a much more popular for Chinese noodles. This place is inside of a business plaza with plenty of parking spaces. The interior is clean and simple. It is an handicap friendly facility.

**Din Ky Restaurant Review: A Mixed Experience**Din Ky Restaurant offers a range of Vietnamese dishes with a mixed experiences. The highlight of the menu, the Hu tieu, stands out as the better option among the offerings. Its flavorful broth and well-cooked noodles elevate the dish to a satisfying level. However, the Pho Ap Chao and Mien xao hai san leave much to be desired. While passable, they fall short of expectations, lacking the depth of flavor and texture one might hope for in such Vietnamese staples. One notable downside is the long wait times to have food served and to pay with cashier observed at the restaurant, especially during peak hours, which can make the overall dining experience less enjoyable. While Din Ky Restaurant shows promise with its Hu tieu, improvements are needed.

First time here and what an amazing experience. The service was absolutely wonderful. Elizabeth was a delight. She checked on us regularly and made sure every dish came out to our liking. Im not a huge fan of alcohol, but I do occasionally like a very light and refreshing libation. When I asked regarding drinks that would be low in alcohol and refreshing to the taste, she made sure to have the bartender whip up something close to what I was looking for. I ended up with a pineapple coconut passion fruit concoction with just the right amount of rum where I could feel it, but not taste it. Her level of attention immediately jump-started our evening on a high note and it only kept getting better. My husband and I ordered the Hokkaido milk bread and butter and it was heavenly. The bread was crispy on the outside, warm and fluffy on the inside, and a creamy taste. The butter accompanying the bread was rich and creamy and had a sweetness to it that complimented the creaminess of the bread. We then ordered the slow-roasted Japanese yam, which was beautiful in flavors and in plating. Yams are incredible on their own, but the brown butter soy lime emulsion had a sharp refreshing flavor that balanced out the heavy starchiness of the yams. The gai-lan were tender and salted perfectly and added a bit of crunch for texture. Beautiful. For entrees, my husband ordered the mozzazo rigatoni. The menu described it as if cacio di pepe and carbonara had a baby, and let me tell you, that baby was absolutely divine. Its probably the best pasta Ive had in years. The creamy pasta was bursting with flavors and spices that just worked amazing together. For my own entree, I ordered the wagyu skirt steak lomo soltado. Now, my husband and I frequent a few Peruvian restaurants. Detentions lomo soltado just blew every single other one weve tried out of the water. The wagyu was cooked perfectly medium and the level of heat was perfect. I enjoy spicy food, but I also like to enjoy my food, so I dont like the spiciness to affect the taste of my food. They got that balance just right for me. My husband and I got our own entrees, but we split them half and half and neither of us could decide which we liked better. They were both amazing but their flavors were so wildly different we just loved them for what they were. And then there was the sticky toffee pudding. Holy toffee-loving heck. I have not put something that delicious in my mouth since my MIL took me to Addisons for my birthday. My mind was blown. The pudding itself was not sweet at all allowing for the toffee sauce to shine without overpowering the sweetness. The whipped cream they served with it was salted. SALTED!! So you get a salty-sweet flavor when you top your bite with whipped cream. The way they balanced the flavors in this one dessert was absolutely genius. You have a dense, spiced cake with minimal sweetness, a beautiful toffee sauce full of delicious flavor, and a bit of saltiness to cut the sweetness when it gets too intense.Overall, the experience was perfect. Excellent service and the atmosphere was great! Im so glad they do not crank their music up so you cant hear each other. That seems to be a trend, but the music here was loud enough to hear, but not to overpower conversations. This place really checked every single box for service, food, and atmosphere. We will definitely need to come back here again.
Orange Grill in Santa Ana

I used to eat here often when my work was nearby and it first opened, and it was like 7 bucks for a huge combo meal. It was a huge hit with my coworkers.Havent come in years since when COVID first hit, but I decided to visit again lately.Obviously it cant be considered cheap food anymore, but I think the food is as good and satisfying as I remembered and I will continue to visit occasionally. One thing, orange grill if you are seeing this, I miss when the crunch roll was just arguably wastefully covered in tenpura flake, but it was so fun and crunchy and it was one of my favorite parts,I came twice in the past few months, dine in and take out, and both times it was just a small pinch of flakes already softened by moisture. That is the one think I might say is not as good as before.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chicken Maison, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a wonderful evening.I started my meal with the half chicken with lemon basil, and it was an absolute treat for my taste buds. The chicken was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy with a flavorful blend of lemon and basil. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness, and I couldnt help but savor every mouthful. It was evident that great care had been taken in preparing the dish.In addition to the half chicken, I also tried their chicken sandwich, and it was equally impressive. The sandwich was generously filled with succulent chicken, accompanied by fresh and flavorful ingredients. The combination of textures and flavors made it a truly satisfying choice.I must commend the staff at Chicken Maison for their exceptional service. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was greeted with friendly smiles and prompt attention. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable, making sure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Their professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction were truly commendable.Furthermore, the atmosphere at Chicken Maison was a highlight of my visit. The restaurant had a cozy and welcoming ambiance, with tasteful decor that created a pleasant and relaxed environment. It was the perfect setting to enjoy a delicious meal and engage in conversation with friends or family.my dining experience at Chicken Maison was nothing short of amazing. The half chicken with lemon basil and the chicken sandwich were both incredibly tasty and cooked to perfection. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. I highly recommend Chicken Maison to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.
