UPDATE: Sad To Say, But Was Unfortunately, Finally Disappointed❗ SMH?Went For Lunch Specials To Celebrate The Lunar New Year &, As Usual, It Started Out Great❗ Was Even Able To Make A Couple Substitutions On Em For A Nominal Charge. And Even Decided To Try & Add On Their Walnut Shrimp Dish, For The First Time, To Share It & Make The Most Of The Holiday Lunch & It Was Fantastic❗❗????The Food Came Good, Fast, & Delicious(The Substitutions Worked Out). But Again, Wasnt Checked On By The Waiters To See How Things Were Going Or If A Refill Was Needed. And When Asked For A Refill, He Acted Bothered & ONLY Gave 1/2 A Glass Refill(Later, ONLY Filled With Ice In The To Go Cup❗ Stingy❗❗). SMH?When The Bill Finally Had Come, Stupidly, Decided To Add A Couple Dishes To Take Home For Dinner To Continue The Holiday Celebration, Thinking The Food Would Be Great As Usual... And It Wasnt❗❗ Honestly, Wished HADNT Ordered It❗❗❗ Was OVER Charged For The Substitution On The First Dish, The Dish WASNT Even The Same & Was WAY OVER Charged On The Portion Of The Second Dish(I DONT Like Being Taken Advantage Of)❗❗❗? I Know There Was A Little Bit Of A Language Barrier, But Cmon, He Should Have Said What Wed Be GettingWere Still Newer Customers), Not To Get Home & Be Disappointedly, Surprised❗❗❗?Well, So Much For Thinking Id Found The Perfect Place❗ YES, The Food Can B Great Here, Compliments To The Chef(s)❗???But The Wait Staff... Leaves A Lot To Be Desired(Therefore, They Lost Another Star)❗???1st Review: The Food Is Very Good Here❗ Its Delicious, Tastes Traditional, & Satisfying❗❗ I First Tried Them By Ordering Take Out From Here & Wasnt Disappoint At All❗❗ It Came Very Fast & Hot, As Well As, Good Sized Portions For 2 Or 3 People & Most Important, Yummy & Satisfying❗❗❗??So, Decided To Try Them In House, During The Lunch Special And They Didnt Disappoint There Either❗ The Only Down Point, Ironically, Was The Waiter Service Because It Was A Bit Slow(As Opposed To Their Delivery Service), And Somewhat Inattentive, Especially When Needing Something, Like A Beverage Refill Or Collecting The Check. But Honestly, The Food & The Prices Do Made Up For That❗❗Give Em A Try, Especially For Their Lunch Specials Or Take Out,I Feel U Wont B Disappointed❗❗❗????????????

Kuni Sashimi House
7550 Orangethorpe Ave, Buena Park, CA 90621, United States
I was feeling adventurous and decided to check out Kuni Sashimi House, a Korean and Japanese fusion restaurant in Buena Park. The food was fresh, delicious, and generous. I ordered the tacos, which were actually sashimi wrapped in seaweed with various toppings. They were amazing and flavorful, and came in a metal taco holder that made me feel like a cowboy. The sashimi was very fresh and tender, and the sauces were spicy and tangy. I also tried some of their other dishes, such as the live octopus, the oysters, and the uni pasta. They were all very good and satisfying, but not as good as the tacos. The place was very cozy and nice, with a farmhouse chic decor and windows that let in natural light. The service was friendly and attentive, and they checked on us frequently. They also brought us many side dishes that came with the sashimi combo, such as soup, salad, rice, kimchi, and more. They were all tasty and complemented the main dishes well, but not as well as the tacos.I would highly recommend Kuni Sashimi House to anyone who loves sashimi or wants to try something different and creative. They have a variety of dishes to choose from, ranging from traditional to fusion. They also have breakfast, brunch, bakery, and catering options. They source their ingredients from local farms and their own farm in Temecula, which makes their food fresh and organic. Kuni Sashimi House is a hidden gem that delivers quality and taste, especially the tacos.

Yoshiharu Ramen

To preface this comment, I would like to say that this restaurant was not my initial choice to eat at, I was planning on eating upstairs at Jaws TPK, but unfortunately it was closed by the time I drove to The Source after work. Upon my arrival, I noticed right off the bat that the music was very loud, something I joked about with my sister (“hey, maybe they should turn the music up more, I can almost hear what you're saying”). Whatever, it's just music, pretty good music at that, so I didn't really care too much so long as I got my food. I was not starving and wanted something relatively light but delicious, so I decided to get the onigiri (ribeye) and the gyozas (grilled). Now, both dishes were tasty, I won't lie, however, I was severely disappointed with the onigiri in terms of portion size. It was $7.50 for 2, which I was aware of beforehand, although 2Onigiri for this restaurant apparently means 1 onigiri cut in half. I'm not joking, I paid $7.50 for a rice triangle (HUGE emphasis on the rice) with a not-so-generous filling of meat. Moreover, it was not very warm, practically cold by the time it got to me, so as you can I imagine, I was very upset and disappointed. Yes, paying $7.50 for 2 rice triangles is a questionable decision, but one I was prepared for because I really love onigiri. Picture my dismay and my feelings of betrayal when I received but 1 onigiri that turned out to be mediocre in the end. The gyozas were good, though, and while they were $7.00, we received around 5 or 6 (sorry, I was too busy being scammed with my onigiri portion to focus on the gyoza ct.). You know that feeling when you're already disappointed with something and it takes just one little thing to ruin your time? Yeah, after the onigiri thing, the music volume was just annoying, I found the place to be disorganized (which was also something I was aware of coming into the place, but didn't care about so long as the food was good), with trash under the fridge and the sauce area messy, there were specks in my water, the service was ok, but they were nice, and they were kids after all, so honestly no fault of their's, I was in a crappy mood after all, but worst of all, I accidentally tipped $1.45 for my food bc I didn't read the screen. I know that's my fault, but I'm just explaining how my night went from bad to worse. They were nice ppl, but guys it was not worth a $1.45 tip, sorry. I can't help but feel scammed after eating there. But to the servers, I'm sorry for having a caca face if I had one, I know it's not your guys' fault. To the establishment, whoever creates the menu and does the pricing, do better. ONE onigiri cut in half served under the guise of being 2 onigiri's with basically what was a meat paste should not cost $8, that's terrible, bffr.

Slurpin Ramen Bar
7941 Beach Blvd #G, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
Slurpin Ramen Bar is a small ramen restaurant neatly tucked away in the same shopping center as Claimjumpers. It sits right across from Knotts Berry Farm, so you could easily pass this spot without ever knowing you did, which would be unfortunate. The level of flavor the ramen carries is quite considerable. You can choose between mild to hot, and even the mild has a level of heat and flavor that can not be denied. They carry the usual and unusual fare of appetizers, such as takoyaki, bulgogi spring rolls, garlic edamame, and the like. You cannot go wrong with any choice, as for the ramen you can choose the usual tonkatsu broth, the chef special which comes with corn, crunchy onions, bean sprouts, spinach, and umami oil, a veggie ramen, as well as tsukemen for dipping. Choose what style you desire. They have a lunch combo from 11:30 to 3 everyday where an additional four dollars gives you a house salad, appetizer, and ramen of your choice ( some apps have an additional price point included ) and parties of six or more is an added gratuity. You can split the bill, so keep that in mind or bring cash to decide what works best for the group. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, tasty food, and a nice diversion from the amusement park fare that anaheim is very well known for. Not that its bad, but every now and again, you desire something a bit different. This works.

Why are you advertising for a sushi chef so often? This place seems to have a fundamental problem. I do not recommend this restaurant. I would like to recommend other Japanese restaurants.

Giant Ramen & Sushi
4544 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90621, United States
Place is ok, there are so many better places though! I would eat here if I didn't want to go out too far. Black garlic ramen was seriously lacking flavor but the udon was good. Sushi was standard and the hoedeopbap was tasty, just didn't have much fish. Maybe I've been spoiled but service was poor. Girl was trying to talk to me across a loud room and ordering was slow. It was only her working this particular evening so it might have been overwhelming. We were told at 9:10 that they closed at 9:15 (nicely told us to gtfo), but we were confused because google says they close at 9:30. Didn't matter too much because we were about done anyways. Despite the negatives, definitely give it a try, palettes are always different. It wasn't so bad that I wouldn't come here again, could've been a one-off night and I always like to give establishments another shot.

First time coming here, especially since we came from Riverside. Wanted to satisfy my sushi craving, and was told that this was a great place for sushi. Dined in. The seating here is very small, but that isnt a problem since it seems that people mostly take the food to-go.The cashier was a Korean lady, she was super nice and didnt hesitate to tell us about the menu in Korean. I had an allergy to avocado, so the rolls I ordered had no avocado in it. My orders usually end up having avocado in it in other places, so I really appreciated this place respecting my requests.I really enjoyed my meal. My favorite rolls are probably the Super Dragon one (eel). I ordered the Baked Salmon Rolls as well out of curiosity (second rolls from bottom)--they were very gooey and rich in flavor. Very fresh sushi.I wish this place existed in Riverside. Definitely better than Hana Sushi for value.

X-Fish Izakaya
5491 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90621, United States
This is the newest AYCE sushi spot to open up in Buena Park and theyre definitely one youll want to check out. PLUS THEYRE OPEN UNTIL 12AM!!!Their Signature ayce option is $40 (11am-12am) and $28 for lunch (m-f 11am-2pm). You can also choose their Omakase option (which includes AYCE) for $55. The main difference is that youll get an extra special plate with 9 pcs of premium sushi selections.Honestly, I really enjoyed all the appetizers, rolls, nigiri, and soup options that was available. I also thought that their quality of fish was pretty good - much better than other nearby AYCE spots Ive been to. Not to mention, you can also choose from their ramen and udon menu as well!!I love their take on izakaya - they had a guy go around with a tray of pork skewers. Unfortunately, the pork option was the only one I saw during dining experience. Hopefully, they bring out more variety next time.Service was friendly and prompt despite how busy they were. The restaurant itself has a cool, modern vibe plus a fun central bar area where you can watch the chefs at work.Value-wise, X Fish is an absolute steal for the amount and quality of food you get. If you love sushi, ramen, tapas-style Japanese dishes, or just eating until youre stuffed with incredible food, you absolutely have to check this place out. Already planning my return visit!

Ozen Sushi
7185 Lincoln Ave, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
TL;DR: Rice portions are smaller than usual but the subpar quality and inconsistencies eclipse any highlights. Service is unaccommodating and for $40+ a person, I would not recommend coming here.First impression: 730pm weekday dinner and it was very empty. Cramped restaurant and cramped parking lot but that shouldnt be a problem since nobody was here.We did the AYCE and it was a hit and miss, with a lot of misses. Fish was incredibly inconsistent and so was the service.Salmon: Maybe get?It started with a few trash pieces that were very fishy, lean, and had a bunch of skin on. I love salmon and had to get another batch just to see and it started to get a little better but some pieces still had skin on it lol. I saw a different table order literally 40+ pieces in a single order and they all looked perfect... very disappointed in our orders.Paradise Roll: SkipIts loaded with spicy tuna and its probably the most spicy, spicy tuna weve ever received... Only had 1 piece and we asked the server if there is any way we could just not eat the rest of this large 8 piece roll. They immediately declined which left the rest of dinner with a bad taste in our mouths--literally and figuratively.Yellowtail: GetThis was probably the most consistent thing and every piece had a really nice buttery finish to it.Tea: Costs $4Id skip this if I knew it wasnt includedService was friendly but unaccommodating when we got a roll that was so outlandish. Drinks and plates took awhile to be refilled and since it was so empty, they seemed bored and would just be busy gossiping about whoever. Quite unprofessionalFood: 5/10Service: 4/10Atmosphere: 4/10Value: 4/10

Curry Do
5300 Beach Blvd #108, Buena Park, CA 90621, United States
Delicious tempura shrimp with Japanese curry. Food wasnt hot enough (talking about temperature). They brought more curry sauce, but it still wasnt warm enough. Not a large portion. Menu is limited. I would be a bit concerned as the restaurant was slow, but had a few takeout orders. Somewhat disappointing because Curry House in Cypress closed and that was the best curry anywhere. Its just so sad. I overheard another diner mentioning the Curry House and how he was willing to drive to find a good curry place. Sadly, I dont think this was what he had in mind.
