I cant say enough about the food here. I grew up eating traditional Japanese dishes, so I can be a bit snobby about todays Japanese style restaurants and to be honest there are only about 5 in the greater Sacramento area that I will dine in. The food here is not only tasty and extremely fresh, but it looks beautiful (as it should). I love the Chirashi Donburi, it comes with a beautiful variety of fresh sashimi, rice, pickles and sushi rice. SO GOOD! My only request would be to have more tskemono, but this is something that is invariably missing in todays American Style Japanese restaurants at least Shogun offers a couple. I will continue to come here!

Huge portions and high quality ingredients! Fish extremely fresh, chicken and calamari extremely tender. More of a designer Japanese restaurant rather that traditional, but was delicious. Very clean and bright facility.

I found this amazing little Japanese sushi restaurant and they had Hamachi Kama my favorite, its the fish cheek grilled and so yummy! The service was great, I sat at the sushi bar and they talked me into some grilled eel sashimi, and provided great conversations. Definitely will go back if Im ever in the area!

I prefer this location over the others, i will definitely drive the extra few miles to come here instead of the one near me. it was not busy at all practically empty when i walked in to pick up my online order. although i was 15 minutes late to get it it was already bagged up and ready at the register soon as i arrived. when i got home my food was still fresh and delicious. i got the tteokbokki (rice cakes) and cheddar chicken with kimchi fried rice. the chicken has a powder cheese seasoning on top that is sweet and salty at the same time, i won't say i was a big fan of it but the chicken was so good and the skin was so crunchy i didn't care. i probably will order the garlic chicken next time! the rice cakes were so good. vons is your best option for affordable reasonably priced high quality authentic korean chicken❤️❤️❤️

Ensure you ask how long it takes before you go in. If you get an estimate of 10 more minutes after waiting for half an hour, it may end up being 20 more minutes. Their estimation of time is out of wack, especially when you tell them you dont have much time to wait upfront, and they are not upfront with you! To top it off the chef hearing me say why its taking so long told because I have many orders, then when I indicated then I guess I will need to leave if I am not getting an accurate estimate of time, made the rolls in 2 minutes, but so spicy that they were unbearable to eat. Poor qaitress got no tip because of the chef. At lease she can take most of the untouched rolls to him
