Looks really nice. I do like the design inside room. This restaurant should have better place because people hardly notice Japanese restaurant here.
SHABU WARA Japanese Hot Pot, Sushi and Grill
13788 Roswell Ave #188, Chino, CA 91710, United States
Shabu Wara is hands down, the BEST Japanese shabu shabu option in the Chino Hills area. Weve been a couple times now and recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a high quality shabu experience! The service is amazing as well - the owner Arnold is super nice and the main guy at the counter Dayton is our new best friend. :POn Tuesdays and Sundays, Shabu Wara offers an ALL YOU CAN EAT experience, if you choose to avail. They have a standard a la carte menu too. On our most recent visit, we went for the AYCE. There were 3 options - Basic ($69pp), Deluxe ($89pp), or Premium ($109pp). Take a look at the photos of each of the menus so you can see the differences between the 3 options. The deluxe and premium have the Japanese A5 Wagyu Chuck Eye Steak, which is the appeal for those higher end options. We went with the Deluxe option this time and were not disappointed. Heres a breakdown of what we tried:- Japanese A5 Wagyu Brisket- Japanese A5 Wagyu Chuck Eye Steak- Full Blood MB9+ Australian Wagyu Brisket- Full Blood MB9+ Australian Wagyu Chuck Eye Steak- American Wagyu Karubi- Seafood platter (tiger shrimp, scallops, salmon, mussels)Of these items, of course we loved the Japanese A5 options which just melted in our mouths, but our personal favorite was the Australian Wagyu Brisket! In fact, wed probably come back just for that one. Its not as fatty as the Japanese A5 options.Theres plenty of parking where Shabu Wara is. We heard it gets super busy on weekends so maybe swing by for dinner on a weeknight. Weve never had a wait and you can be right up in the bar area! Highly highly recommend!
RA Sushi Bar Restaurant
13925 City Center Dr, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
This dinner was really quite unsatisfactory experience. I was searching on opentable for this restaurant with a very high score and decided to give it a try even though it looked like a very new Japanese style restaurant. The waitress here came up and introduced herself warmly, and finally gave us a strange smile, and I asked my coworker why her smile was so strange, and my coworker said that hers was a fake smile, that is, but it was a bad fake smile. As we started eating we didnt particularly take it seriously. By the way, the sushi here is moderate, not too bad and not too good. But by the time the sashimi came up it was a bad start, the scallops were cut in a literal mess and the tuna toro was actually frozen, chewing on crushed ice in my mouth. We then called for the fake-smiling waitress, who simply took away the plate of sashimi away without a word, and when it came up again she didnt offer a single word of apology. Luckily this big belly was barely edible, but I could tell that one probably have been warmed up in warm water. But one bad thing is that that meat is over oxidized is no longer pink, but a deep red like raw steak. We complained about the sashimi when we got to the final check, but the fake smiling waitress said shed waive the appetizer edamame for us. I was very confused what went wrong . The sashimi was $35 but why did you waive the $10 edamame for that appetizer? So in the end I had to just deduct most of the service charge to waive my loss. Anyway, I wont be going back to this restaurant in the future, I was really disappointed with the service and the food!

Good food and great service. Been coming here since it became a Japanese restaurant. Used to be a dippin dot then became several other restaurants. The Japanese restaurant has been here the longest
Dono Sushi Cafe
3926 Grand Ave Suite D, Chino, CA 91710, United States
Even with the understanding that AYCE sushi restaurants usually serve poorer quality food, I still gave Dono a chance due to their enticing Dono Special Box. For $18 dinner price ($15 lunch), you get 5 pieces of sashimi, 2 pieces nigiri, 5 pieces tempura, a full crunch roll, small salad, and miso soup. Before I dive in to detail about the food, I want to describe the atmosphere. From the parking lot, SUSHI CAFE restaurant sign confuses you and forces you to look at the windows to confirm this is Dono. For Friday night prime time, there was no wait but the medium-sized (50 customers) restaurant was near full capacity of customers - I believe this to be the perfect balance of business for a casual restaurant. Our party of two was quickly seated in a 4-seater. I actually have to mention the chairs which were stylish and comfortable with clean plump cushioning. Upon sitting down, I realize the lighting is just way too bright - as if the restaurant is screaming transparency as its main priority, lighting up all dark corners. This is a huge negative as attention is drawn away from the food and people you came with, and spotlights the lack of restaurant decoration and the dining experience of other people. 2 stars on atmosphere.Back to the Dono box. It came well presented as expected from a Japanese sushi restaurant Sashimi was sliced on the thicker side: 3pc salmon was fatty but inorganically plump, 2pc tuna stood out with above average taste for casual sushi. 1 shrimp and 1 salmon nigiri were average. Tempura well fried but batter is way too thick in flour. The full crunch roll smaller than your average roll, interestingly cut to resemble what I believe to be a shrimp - thick head slice with small sections and ending with a thick end piece cut. Visually appealing but proved to be impractical as the smaller pieces fell apart when picked up. Salad was refreshing. Average soup came hot and foremost upon sitting down. 4 stars.Almost forgot about the caterpillar roll. Beautifully arranged with thinly sliced avocado on top and decent amount of unagi inside. 4.5 stars; beautiful but not the best.Service was prompt. 4 stars. Food and drinks ordered and served timely. No further drink was offered after quickly finishing one shared large better. Bill came timely. Will be prioritizing trying other local sushi over coming back. That being said, this would be an excellent lunch spot as the major downfall of bad lighting would be forgotten in the day.
Yoshiharu Ramen
4004 Grand Ave #C, Chino, CA 91710, United States
It’s a nice Japanese restaurant that closes very late in the evening on Saturday. The fried shrimp is ok, just like a regular ones, not too special, being honestly. The Unagi bow looks big on its menu but actually not that large. However, the taste of roasted eel and sauce is fantastic with couple pieces of Avocado on top of the rice.
All That Sushi
15911 Pomona Rincon Rd STE 130, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
Waited patiently for this one! Let me just say what a great experience this was for us. There are many sushi places around in Chino Hills and All That Sushi is ALL THAT! If you are familiar with the popular Vanilla Fish then understand that the layout of the restaurant is very similar but All That is much more roomier. You are greeted HAPPILY when you walk in. Let me just say how refreshing that is.We sat at the bar where you order directly with the chef. We always start of with Nigiri and it was *chef kiss*!Perfect fish to rice ratioWe always get the Tuna and Salmon Nigiri. Then ordered a few rolls. I was happy to find the very unique flavors incorporated in many rolls. You would expect them to be just like all the others, but thier NOT!Boy, did I take my time chewing just to take it all in. Were talking ingredients like green onion, Chili aioli and Chile Powder. Ive never read those ingredients on other sushi rolls. Please Chefs, keep it up! Its so simple yet such a big difference in taste. I hope to find more diverse rolls with diverse ingredients. This is already what set them apart from all the other spots.Highly Reccomend: Nine One One, The Matador and Da Bomb (all rolls).Another thing I appreciated was that bottle for the soy sauce. I forgot to snag a photo but its the bottles typically used for olive oil or red wine vinegar. I feel this was not only more clean but it added to the modern touch to match the restaurant.Great selection of Sake and of course they have Kirin and Kirin Light. I tried a sparkling mango sake (?) With a 5.5%. Very tasty and sweet without that artificial aftertaste I have had from other brands. Quite similar to Stella Rosa.We had SO much fun with the staff! The hostess is funny and Chefs are lively. I really love that. They seem so happy for you to enjoy thier food. That tells me alot of love goes into it. I know its cheesy, but these are the type of business I love to support. Thier grand opening is much later. I will try to add the date soon.Things I hope to see... A HAPPY HOUR MENU!( I dont want to go to Ra)Congrats ALL THAT SUSHI! YOU WILL DEFINITELY SASHIMI AGAIN!!!
Bento Box Japanese Grill Jr.
12202 Central Ave, Chino, CA 91710, United States
This place is horrible. My sister and I dined in, you have to order and pay when you check in. After sitting there for awhile I noticed they had no servers. Thought ok they want to say money, not a good sign. Ordered baked lobster roll and beef teriyaki entree that comes with rice salad and soup. There is no condiments on the table. The restaurant looks empty inside. Never got our drinks until after our food was brought to us. For dining in they served everything in plastic and styrofoam. Plastic utensils, asked for a spoon and he said to just drink the soup out of the carton. The beef teriyaki looked nothing like the menu, looked like a small fast food that you would pay $8. The baked lobster roll had a crunchy flaming hot cheetos look to it. When I moved over to look at the roll looked like a California roll you buy at the market. I did not eat the food and went and asked for my money back. He asked why, I said its not even the food I ordered and I wasnt paying $45 to eat in a restaurant out of plastic containers. He refunded my card but wanted to keep my tip. I said no, he told me he didnt know how to refund my tip to my card. I told him to give me it in cash and he did. After we left and talked about it we noticed it didnt even smell like food was being cooked. I think they just heat up frozen food and buy sushi rolls from the market. This place will close, the owners do not care what they are serving. They make you pay first because they know this food is cheap. Do not go here, you will regret it.

Highly RECOMMEND AND UNDERRATED JAPANESE RESTAURANT. And yes, they are all caps because the food is that good. I can strongly say that this restaurant is better than Ojiya. Come here, you will not regret it. Literally all their food, including the appetizers are like ?
Uminoya Ramen
5420 Philadelphia St c, Chino, CA 91710, United States
Im sorry, but I have no idea why this place was rated 4.9 stars on Google. We came on a Wednesday night for the first time with a party of 4, including 2 kids at about 7 p.m.We went up to order our ramen dishes and a pork fried rice dish, but we were told not to order the fried rice because it would take much longer than the ramen, so we did not get to buy it even though we wanted it. They said that because there was no indoor seating available, it was takeout only, and it would be about 15 min to be ready. Fine, we dont live far, so it was no big deal. We ended up waiting 60 minutes for our food with exceedingly cranky and hungry kids. And while we were waiting for our food, 7 parties came, ordered their food, got their food, and had left!Prepare to end up waiting a very long time for your food with no apologies and a very upsetting experience.
