Maki Yaki 22

The best sushi restaurant in Southern California. Theyre the best Ive ever been to, and Ive been there a lot!Although prices have risen a little for lunch and dinner at AYCE (All You Can Eat), its still ok. The sushi was worth the price. If you are a foodie, the AYCE is a better choice. The staff is always helpful and friendly, no matter how busy. Their greetings in Japanese to all customers are a nice touch. One guy has been there for a while, working as a cashier and taking orders by phone. But hes new to the job, I believe. Hes always smiling and says hello to everyone who comes and goes. Its pretty amazing.Sushi is made from fresh, perfectly firm rice. Never make the sushi too soft or too hard. Its just right. There are many types of sushi available. They have plenty of prepared sushi. I prefer the raw ones. I have never had bad sushi or felt the need to go to the bathroom afterward. They are fresh and I have sensitive stomachs. This place is a great place to go if you are looking for excellent customer service and delicious, fresh sushi. Even though we dont live in San Bernardino County, Maki Yaki is a place that we always return to. Its well worth it.

I used to love coming here to grab a perfectly cheesy Korean corn dog but my recent visit has been an extremely sad experience. My potato mozzarella stick was overcooked on the outside and yet somehow the batter inside was still raw. I think the oil they were using to fry the corn dog was set too high so the outside of the potatoes was brown and hard while the batter was still wet inside. The sitting area was also really messy. The tables and chairs were dirty and the surface of the tables were sticky. While the customer service was good, I was disappointed to find out that you cannot adjust the sweetness of their drinks. My friend and I ordered the mango peach and grapefruit orange drink and both were so sweet that I feel like I got a toothache from one sip. For how much everything costed, I would have hoped I could at least lower the sugar content. Another thing that factored into my disappointment was that the mochi donut, the main dessert they are known for, one of the donuts I received was overly soft and mushy. I couldn't tell if it was raw or what was wrong because the other two donuts I got were fine and tasted great. Anyways, I don't recommend the Loma Linda location, the parking is awful and the food wasn't good, this place has really gone downhill the last few years.

The only place I have visited there is the Chinese food place that has the best teriyaki in town. The food is good to seatings good everything seems all right good parking but there is one problem. I cant stand it when they serve you food from the top and its not very warm and they dont Stir It. It seems to me that a restaurant should give people hot food. It reminds me of when you want that delicious bowl of hot chili from Wendys and they scoop the chili from the top and its never hot. And then you appreciate the Frosty more because it is cold and is better cold and is better cold of course.
