I give the front of house staff five stars for their friendliness and helpfulness. The food I ordered, however, was poor quality. I ordered two baked rolls. The fish topping my rolls was noticeably overcooked. One of the rolls, the Dynamite Roll, was served underneath a handful of tortilla chips which confused me; I didnt think it worked at all. My husband ordered a roll and he was equally dissatisfied. For 3 rolls and a can of green tea, we paid $45 (not including a tip), so the price for the quality didnt balance out for us.

Plain nasty .i dont know how they got the nerve to call this japanese . The karaage are over fried and drown in black sesami seeds . Those sushi are AMERICAN sushi, those flavor DONT EXIST IN JAPAN. ITS NOT AUTHENTIC JAPANESE its been white wash hardcore. This place put japanese food to shame. Its also grossly overpriced 15$ for one roll like really ?! What a joke. There is no japanese vibes to it exerpt the name dont fall for it .staff was slow at taking orders .very poor organisation. It feels more like an american sport bar than a japanese restaurent with all the tv around . This isnt fusion its CONFUSION . wont be going back ....

TL;DRTry at your own risk as they have a B health rating. The AYCE sushi itself is just ok at best...This place needs new management, a new sushi chef, and new wait staff all trained with customer service skills and personal hygiene within the food industry. This place is very lacking in service and quality.FULL REVIEWThis review is for two experiences, the most recent being on Sunday 8/4/19 at around 7:30pm.First of all let me start off by saying I believe that this place is in need of new management and/or at least a complete revamping of how things are worked here including customer service training.FOODOne of the first things you think of when going out to eat is how good is the food? Well I can say, at least for the AYCE Sushi, that its just ok at best. Its not exactly the worst AYCE sushi Ive ever had, but its definitely down there in my bottom 3.- The sushi itself:Size of fish served was somewhat inconsistent. Most of the sushi was a decent size but some were just a bit too big (most people think bigger fish = better sushi, but let me tell you thats not always the case). Also it was prepared and served inconsistently as we ordered yellow tail twice; the first time it came out served with sauce drizzled on top and on the plate, the second time it came out with no sauce at all.- Sushi Rolls:Some of the people who participated in AYCE with me are almost severely allergic to avocado, and since its in most rolls, we asked for the avocado to be served on the side (we told the waitress as well as wrote it down on the order sheet). Of course the rolls were prepared as normal; avocado in the roll itself instead of on the side like we asked. Weve tried before to just poke the avocado out but of course it sticks to the rice. Now, I understand that menu pictures are stock pictures but the sushi chef could also at least try to make the rolls appear appetizing and/or somewhat like the pictures they have. But of course that didnt happen. One of the rolls we ordered was the dynamite roll. Sadly it was kind of bland, not a lot of sauce, and the scallops and craw fish seemed a tad under cooked. Most every sushi place that has this roll or something similar, it comes served with plenty of sauce, scallops and craw fish are cooked in tempura, and when you eat it its very flavorful.SERVICE(Late Sunday dinner (7:30pm) and only 2 other tables aside from ours....)First thing you notice when you sit down: the tables are sticky. Next thing you notice: the restaurant is nearly empty.Almost any restaurant you go to, the wait staff comes by every so often asking if everythings good. Not here. There is minimal staff here. The first time we went, just 1 waitress and 1 sushi chef. This time it was 2 waitresses and 1 sushi chef. The 1 waitress that we had last time, didnt do much anything until about 30 minutes before we were done with dinner. Both the other waitress and the sushi chef seemed like they didnt really even care to be there and were ready to leave. As part of our AYCE sushi, we ordered some appetizers (baked mussels, edamame, gyoza, and miso soup). We only received the baked mussels, after receiving all of our other sushi. We had to remind the waitress about the other appetizers. We eventually did get our gyoza and miso soup, and I am realizing just now that we still never got our edamame...When we told the waitresses about the avocado allergy and how the rolls we ordered kept coming with avocado, they had the sushi chef remake the roll which is great, but the common courtesy of an apology for the mishap was never extended to us.Worst of all, I noticed that the waitress who didnt seem to care to be there was picking at her face. Seemed like she was wiping off sweat, or picking dry/dead skin or acne or something. But I didnt see her wash her hands. Luckily I noticed this after we were done eating, but it still begs the question...

I will give four stars for the restaurant for the customer services and overall feeling of the restaurant. Three star for the food and one star for the floor plan for the front door. At the end, average a three star. It might be little bit low. Anyway, let me begin everything. the front gate is facing north and parking lot is on the rear of this place. You will have to walk all the way to front for the entrance. You can also park the car on the west side of the restaurant but there is not much of light in the parking lot at this section. It is my first time to try Japanese grill. It is fun!!! Fire, knife work and ect. make you exciting. I had lobster and steak combo. Eh...meat quality is good but taste was bit salty. Maybe I should let chef know I prefer lighter taste. Since I go there on weekday, its not crowded but still have four tables set up for the customer. There are two sections in the restaurant, one is grill section and one is the sushi section. I will try the sushi section next time.

HANDS DOWN, BEST QUALITY SUSHI IN ONTARIO.What a gem! Even though Im moving soon, Im glad and sad that this place popped up on the map. The staff were really nice, the restaurant itself is cute and incredibly clean. The quality of the fish is sooo good. Melt-in-your-mouth kind of good. Im usually really indecisive about where to go because theres a lot of sushi/Japanese restaurants around with food that is just okay to fairly good. This place happens to be close to my house and my supermarket so I had to try it with my sister. I got the Combo B and it was perfect: the right amount of food that left me feeling satisfied and comfortable. What a great way to spend a Sunday. Ill definitely be back soon!! ♥️♥️For anyone wondering if this is all you can eat (AYCE): No, it is not. But if you care about tasting your delicious meal, this place is it.

Our favorite Japanese Ramen restaurant- and we have tried quite a few. Flavors are consistent, broth is rich and complex and even the sides are to die for! Try the popcorn chicken, sushi rolls, fried potato, agedashi tofu and my hubbys fave- the fried squid.

I went here for the 1st time And my 1st initial impression was that its a very very neat looking like an old school Japanese building and I love Japanese culture so this was amazing. The interior of the building is extremely clean very professional very well dressed and the vigils such a staff as well as the visitors. I know it says on the outside a for short fancy apparel is required but they dont enforce it so dont worry if you come with a hat and A T-shirt just like me. The wait time was very short they said 30 minutes but we got in within a matter of 10 minutes or so. When we sat down our chef was chef Mike. This guy was really really amazing AKA the trick chef. He was very funny and His tricks with his utensils were so awesome! Not to mention that has food was absolutely Amazing and very Well seasoned. He was very entertaining and very enthusiastic about his job you can tell that he likes his job very much. The prices of the food I were that of any high class Japanese restaurant But very very well worth the cost. I will definitely be coming back to this place multiple times just to have their food And theyre amazing chefs Again. Great job staff and great job chef Mike!!

Honestly I am so sad that they close so many of their locations! My wife and I enjoy eating here so much we always get the chicken teriyaki with extra chicken and well done. I drove an hour just to eat at this place. I personally do not like malls but its worth the traffic the bumping into people and honestly if I could have this place every day I would they have never let me down in the years Ive been going so if youre looking for a reasonably priced plate of good food this is the place to go! I hope they reopen all their locations again I used to go to the one in the Santa Anita mall but now I have to drive all the way to the Ontario Mills location which is significantly farther but put that into perspective Im willing to use my gas my car and my time and tolerance in traffic just to get one plate of this food I hope that can tell you something about this place

Coming to this place was the best idea! Ive looked up Japanese themed restaurants to see if theres any in my area and surprising this place is so close to where I live(it took me 5 mins to drive there) Ive ordered a takoyaki, peach tea, and a matcha tiramisu all of them were very delicious! Definitely coming back!^^☆
